ok look i get where youre coming from but don't you know how important beastman fight clubs are in queer history, ESPECIALLY trans history. many people who didnt have access to transmutation magic would use the more easily accessible beastman magic in order to alter their bodies. not to mention it was an opportunity for the otherwise disenfranchised to earn money and make a living. and it's basically purely misinformation that people were "turned to beastmen without their consent". like look if you don't wanna watch animal people tear it up and get injured in the arena you could at least advocate for them to get more rights and basic living opportunities

and retired fighters, even though their bodies are less capable now, STILL encourage those who want to get turned to go for it if it's their choice. they even give them advice on how to properly manage their new body, and even give them suggestions for which animals to turn into that would be best for their physique

yeah beastmen were a HUGE part of queer history in the northern continent. Amara Bosko, a trans wolfwoman, led a protest with her fellow arena fighters and tore it up at the house of Emilor, which recently passed a law which would ban arenas in the region and leave several people essentially homeless. they showed up at the gate and made a lot of commotion and several people got arrested. it was a turning point in that era and led to a bunch more protests which eventually led to beastman transmutation being legalized in several areas of the northern continent. her example is still being followed to this day.
