remus opened the door to the bedroom he shared with you softly, trying his best not to wake you. you murmured and he tensed, cursing himself in your head. you’d been so stressed lately; you needed your sleep desperately.

“remmie?” you called out into the darkness, voice groggy and tired but still pretty and sweet as usual.

“i’m here, sweetheart.” he undressed quickly and joined you under the covers.

you immediately cuddled close to him, pressing sloppy kisses to every area of skin you could reach. “missed you, remmie.”

“i missed you too, baby.” he laughed at your sleepy affection, pressing his own lips to your forehead.

“don’ like it when you leave so long,” you whined, nuzzling into the crook of his neck.

“i know, honey, i don’t like it either.” he pulled you close. “i’ll be here all day tomorrow, though; we can cuddle and watch your favorite movies the whole time.”

“okay.” you yawned and he felt your eyelashes flutter closed against his skin. “night, remmie.”

“night, baby. i love you.”

“(y/n), slow down, you’re going to hurt yourself!” mary scolded, laughing along with you.

“n-no i’m not—whoa!” you tripped, stumbling out of mary’s grasp and onto the concrete. “owww!” you whined, holding your now bloody knee.

“baby, i told you to be careful.” she knelt down beside you and pulled a first aid kit out of her bag.

“i’m sorry.” you sniffled as she carefully cleaned the wound and placed a band-aid on top.

“better?” she looked up at you.

you pouted. “can you kiss it better?” you gave her puppy-dog eyes.

mary smiled, laughing a bit. “of course, sweetheart.” she leaned down and placed a soft kiss on the band-aid. “better now?”

your face lit up and you nodded enthusiastically. “uh-huh!! let’s go now, mary, we’re gonna have so much fun!”

“i’m sure we will.”

you pulled her by the hand again, sure to be a lot more careful this time.
