 Heels clicked faintly, growing steadily louder when Charlie entered the abandoned building. Perfectly pale hands grazed the wall beside her as she walked, humming a familiar tune that felt far too distant. She wasn’t comfortable here. There was a lingering depression built on the foundations of failure. Arms snaked around her midsection in a hug. At least it was peaceful. Perhaps it was because it was on of the few places where people didn’t constantly pester her.  No one cared when she was princess... But, suddenly being queen, she was the first on everybody’s list!

 Charlie sighed heavily at the thought. The world was exhausting. But at least the former hotel still held a bit of magic. Even with its decrepit walls, creaky floorboards, and stained carpets. A rainbow was here. But it had disappeared as all rainbows eventually do.

 Too caught up in melancholy thoughts, Charlie hadn’t noticed an intruder in her former establishment. She hadn’t realized someone had caught her, reminiscing and thinking of what could have been, until an all too familiar static noise reached her ears.

 A gasp escaped black lips as a hand rushed to her chest, clutching a heart that nearly leapt from it. “Al..?”

☂ ━ What’s your favorite kind of weather and why?  

Fall! I love Fall. I love the color of the trees in my state. The fact I can live in a hoodie all day, I have...like...a million swearter. I’m in a hoodie right now since the temp is dropping right now. Blaaaahhhhhhh, I love how chilly the weather can be, and I love going to get pumpkins and snuggling under blankets and ALL THE HORROR MOVIES. Yeah!!

           What  strange  sight  amidst  hellscape  :  this  facade  of  joy  /  ever — smiling,  ne’er  seen  without.   Jarring  to  see  ‘pon  another,  but  familiar  ( the  nightmare  had  done  it  too ).   Wild  animals  bare  their  teeth  in  warning,  do  they  not ?   Grand  horn  is  set  ablaze  with  gentle  magic,  and  so  is  generous  cup  of  coffee  atop  the  table  beside  her.   After  quick  shake  of  wings  and  star — filled  mane  alike,  with  morning  beverage  in  tow  she  approaches  hotel’s  patron.  

        ❛ 'tis  not  redemption  you  seek  in  this  hotel,  is  it ? ❜  with  nay  prelude,  calm  and  curious  ( &  a  touch  of  accusation ).   How  redundant  a  question !   Dearest  moon ��knows  thee,  o’  scarlet  tyrant,  by  reputation  most  dreadful.   And  though  no  better  be  tales  of  own  actions,  judgement  she  casts  ‘pon  a  creature  thought  more  wicked  than  even  herself.   //  @elkfeast​​

Fur stood on in, something setting off his instinct to defend himself, spikes piercing from his furred flesh. At first, Thorn wasn’t sure where this eerie pressure was radiating from, but then he saw that all too familiar face. The radio demon, coming to check up on his ‘investment’ most likely.

The lion demon took a moment to shake off the unease, watching the other carefully. “You here to cause trouble, or just checking on things?” Even if it was Alastor, he still had to do his job. Of course, if they did cause trouble, not much he could do about it.
