max: he seems like the type ppl think is somewhat homophobic bc of his personality, but when someone asks him, he’s like “no?? I’d never hate on a group I’m a part of” and that’s when they finds out that he’s part of the asexuality spectrum (and perhaps the aromantic one as well?); idk I’m getting graysexual (and maybe aromantic) vibes from him? or the other way around (greyromantic and asexual)?

scarlett: definitely a lesbian. the most lesbian lesbian to ever lesbian

dave: bisexual with either a side of internalized homophobia or unawareness of his bisexuality until a passing thought of ‘oh that guy’s hot’ and the consequent sexuality crisis occurs (or both :D)

sky: either biromantic or panromantic, and maybe demisexual?

shawn: pansexual; the whole romance thing is extremely new to him bc it’s not smth he’s considered or given a thought to before. as long as they appreciate his totally healthy fear of the undead (bonus points if they feel the same way), he’s down, nothing else matters!

jasmine: bisexual; she may have previously dated only guys but she’s still confident in her sexuality

topher: he's trickier bc while I can see him as being the typical straight guy, he also screams 'gay' to me too. maybe bisexual?? yeah, that makes more sense! bisexual and he's in-tune with his sexuality so he doesn't mention it every so often, he just sorta swims along, casually mentioning stuff like 'oh he's cute too. and so is she' and let ppl figure it out themselves. he didn't have much of a sexuality crisis/revelation; the thought just passed by, and he went "huh, makes sense" and moved on with the knowledge lmao

Beardo Headcanons because no one talks about him :( :

•He’s autistic, I like the idea that he’s selectively mute either because being coherent or translating his thoughts to English take the energy right out of him, or because he tends to say everything on his mind when he does talk and has been ridiculed for it. Also enjoy the idea that his beatboxing sounds are vocal stims and his special interests are generally sound technology and production. He was actually a board operator and sound producer for his school’s technical theatre program. The wiki also says he has trouble socializing and recognizing when he’s bothering others. I just like this headcanon a lot

•He’s really good with instruments, too. He prefers keyboard and music sampling programs like garage band, but he’s also pretty fond of percussion

•He and Shawn get along decently well because they’re both not huge conversationalists. Sometimes Beardo will just work on his sound while Shawn is scaling a tree or scouting for food. He’s pretty kind to Sky because she’s one of the more accepting people in the group and he doesn’t mind providing background music for her gymnast routines. Sugar finds him incredible but is also a little jealous because that’s one hell of a talent. Leonard was skeptical of him before but found out Beardo listens to a lot of DnD podcasts so now Leonard rambles at him about it. They’ve even worked on some stuff for their own podcast with Tammy. Ella loves his bird sounds and is the only person who never really finds him annoying, they become fast friends as some of the less observant team members. I still don’t think Dave would like him but after some time I think he’d at least be able to appreciate him. Also I think he and Rodney would get along as two people who have issues speaking straight. Fuck it Rodney Ella Beardo friendship

Read “Spin the Bottle Cinderella” by nyhlus on Fanfiction.net and it inspired me to do my own Pahkitew theatre AU so here you go (btw for the sake of this AU: PI characters are sophomores, ROTI characters are juniors, and OG characters are seniors. ROTI cast hangs out because they’re in band/colorguard & football and OG cast hangs out because they’re in film class.)

Dave: Stage manager, always stressed, really wasn’t aiming to stay in theatre long-term because he hates the drama kids and only wanted the credit but was nominated for SM and felt obligated to help keep everyone in line.

Shawn: Flyman/Assistant stage manager, smokes weed in the green room, helps Dave not freak the fuck out constantly, occasionally dabbles in makeup because he’s super into gore effects (and everyone else is too grossed out to do them).

Jasmine: Scenic designer/builder and front woman of the run crew. She’s the President of the thespian troupe and was supposed to be the SM. Usually the one who has to get the football team/colorguard and band out of the multi-purpose room. Stays up way too late working and bonds with Shawn because he works overtime a lot too due to his fear of being grabbed by a zombie on his way out to the car.

Scarlett: Lighting operator. She’s the secretary of the thespian troupe, and has definitely never tried to drop lights on the actors ever because she totally values theatre and didn’t just join to terrorize the obnoxious people in there /s

Beardo: Sound operator. He’s really good at finding organic sounds and he’s the king of behind-scene hand signals. He actually enjoys the group a lot, even if he doesn’t talk much, since theatre is the one place people won’t really judge him for making noise.

Rodney: Stagehand and heavy-lifter, joined because Topher made him but has grown to like theatre and secretly wants to be a playwright.

Sammy: Costumes manager, wanted to be an actor but Amy ran her out of the spotlight so she’s a techie. Jasmine and Shawn accepted her and are quick to let her hide in the back rooms or let her join in during improv.

Topher: Vice President of the thespian troupe and the notorious dramatic asshole actor. He’s the reason Dave’s SM instead of Jasmine. Always gets the male lead.

Ella: Ambassador for the thespian troupe and by far the most liked actress, usually gets leads and wins in competitions. Loves musicals a lot too.

Amy: Treasurer for the thespian troupe, she’s the most popular girl there but disliked by most of the tech crew. Just recently joined to follow Sammy get her art credit. Tricks Topher into helping her become President next term because she needs to be in control.

Sugar: An improv genius but lowkey a dick to Ella because Sugar’s always her understudy. Very good at projecting, was in choir and has been in pageants her whole life (is she doing this to find a better coping mechanism for her need for attention after that? Wouldn’t you like to know.)

Leonard: Joined purely out of a love for Shakespeare but stayed because it was the one place he wasn’t as judged, and acting helps him escape from reality. Introduces everyone to D&D.

Max: Mostly an actor (specifically likes the role of villain in any production) but also loves working with special effects when needed (usually has to work with Scarlett for this. Scarlett hates it.)

Sky: Joined just to get an art credit but ended up enjoying acting a lot. Jasmine is trying to get her to take Topher’s spot as VP. Honestly a better stage manager than Dave, he loves her for it. She doesn’t feel the same.
