The Embraer Phenom 300E. A single pilot certified light business jet developed by Brazilian 🇧🇷 aerospace manufacturer Embraer. This aircraft is the second purpose-built business jet, preceded by the Phenom 100. The Phenom 300 is a stretched version capable of carrying up to 10 passengers faster, longer, and higher. The jet is powered by two rear-pylon-mounted Pratt & Whitney Canada PW535E turbofan engines. The cockpit is equipped with a Garmin-G3000-based Prodigy Touchscreen flight management system. It’s capable of 5 passengers, with reserves, up to 2,000nm at 454 knots, or Mach .78, at an altitude of up to 45,000 ft. The aircraft has very favorable flight handling characteristics, a spacious cabin, a full bathroom, and the latest technologies and comforts. It flys extremely smooth, is balanced on controls, and provides excellent power, climbing to cruise altitude in around 20 minutes. Importantly, it eliminates the ground-mounted yoke, in favor of a dash-mounted smaller variant. Ground-mounted yokes, in my opinion, greatly hinder situational awareness, visibility, and movement. Thankfully, this jet abandons the traditional Embraer cockpit, which I find to be poorly designed. I’m not usually a fan of Embraer aircraft, however, because of these important differences, I generally find the aircraft to be a solid choice in the light business jet category. The aircraft is missing one very important element, it does not have an auto throttle system, placing an unnecessary burden upon the pilot. Any aircraft of this class should include auto throttle control systems as standard equipment. The Top Selling Business Jets in 2021

So far in 2021, after gathering two quarters of shipment and delivery data. It appears as though business jet shipments and deliveries have been moving quite regularly, and as expected at this point, past the 6 month mark. As per the updated General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) report for September 1st 2021. It looks as though the number of business jets that were delivered so far in 2021 is approximately 264. As for turboprops (single & multi-engine), there are around 221 that were shipped and delivered up to now in 2021.

While the market had about a 20% drop overall in 2020, it looks as though 2021 might be looking better, based on the numbers we are seeing from Q1 & Q2 to this day.

Private Aircraft Shipments & Deliveries In Florida, United States

As we move into the 3rd quarter and await the Q2 shipment and delivery data from GAMA (General Aviation Manufacturers Association). From our observation, North America is continuing to do strong with aircraft units sold.

The Q1 report unfortunately does not breakdown which country or state within North America has received the most deliveries. Although from the current data and information that we have observed. Florida does have the most aircraft available for sale within the USA.

Are they selling the most? We aren't quite sure. Although in the coming few weeks, we should have a better idea.

VIDEO: Phenom 300 makes low passes on U.S. aircraft carriers

A video recently released on Instagram shows an Embraer Phenom 300 jet flying over the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and making an approach to land aboard the warship used in the movie "Top Gun: Maverick". Find out the reason for this really spectacular flight.

Last weekend, the long-awaited film "Top Gun Maverick" hit theaters around the world and a Phenom 300 jet manufactured by Embraer played an important role in the filming of Super Hornet fighters in flight over the ocean and also in the landing and takeoff scenes on the aircraft carrier.

Kevin explained that Phenom equipped with two gimbal cameras was safer during filming over large areas over water. Another L-39 Albatros jet from the CineJet company was used to film several scenes of the film on the ground.

The Phenom 300 aircraft, prefix N562TM, from Valley Horizons LLC was piloted by Kevin "K2" LaRosa, a CineJet pilot who participated in the in-flight filming of the film.

"I spoke with Phenom extensively in the film and the platform stood out when we needed more time at the station or the additional reliability and safety of two engines for operations on water. It was also unique because the Phenom carried two F1 camera gimbals from @shotoversystems from @team5aerials, allowing us to fly with two totally different lens options on the same flight," Kevin said.

The pilot also said that the flight near the U.S. Navy nuclear aircraft carrier was extensively coordinated and received all necessary authorizations for the filming that appears in the video.

The Embraer Phenom 300 (EMB-505)

The interesting thing about the Embraer lineup is that they are airline quality manufactured jets. Their experience with manufacturing airliners translates over to their fleet of executive aviation.

The Phenom 300 has a 7 seat configuration but can seat up to and accommodate 9 passengers including pilot and crew. With a maximum altitude of 45,000 ft. The aircraft is most fuel efficient at approximately 39,000 ft. It is considered less fuel efficient at altitudes ranging around 30,000 ft, as this altitude is where the aircraft will experience the most fuel burn.

The cockpit is similar to the Phenom 100. Although, there is more room and there are differences to the location of some of the controls / buttons. Also, when it comes to avionics capabilities. The Phenom 100 uses the Garmin G1000, while the 300 uses the G3000 Prodigy based flight deck, on most current models.

The Phenom 300 is one of the few aircrafts in its class with winglets, and its thrust to weight ratio is very similar to a Boeing 757. This by itself outperforms the 100 model considerably.

The Phenom's take off performance and climb to altitude is considered one of the aircraft top qualities.

Luggage capacity is approximately 460 lbs.

The 300E (enhanced) features a Lufthansa Technik upper tech panel cabin management system.
