thinking about how emila, daisybilly & karengraham are 3 different types of doomed love. all their relationships were stuck at different stages -- emila was unrequited. daisybilly was requited but they couldnt do anything about it. karengraham did do something about it. and at the end of it all these three relationships were why the band broke up

I don't usually do this, but here're my notes on this week episodes of Daisy Jones & The Six:
— My main criticism for the show is that the format of an interview and all of big changes could be executed way cleverer and cooler if they were showing us what's really happened and simultaneously characters were narrating redacted and cleaned version of events literally quoting the book.
— In general I don't mind the changes and I like Daisy and Billy chemistry a lot. But I also can't help but wish they would keep the UST boiling for a little longer so that scene could have been a peak of desperation.
— Every time Daisy is being a little shit and enjoying the mess she makes I love her with the power of thousands suns.
— Eddie and Cami is my favorite couple in the show and considering that Eddie vs Billy sausage contest was for me the most annoying part of the book, it's pretty ironic.
— The whole Billy's "It is about the music!" gives me weird Lord Asriel vibes. In a way he's putting so much energy and effort into his music as an act of escape from complicated emotions to the point that he come across as slightly sociopathic. Better father though.
— Camila is the milf of the year. We stan.
— It's very enjoyable how show subtly makes female friendships the moving force behind big parts of the story.
— At this point I honestly can't fully judge anyone and I just want this stupid people to be happy.
wow I’m SO glad that Camila Alvarez took Julia left Billy and eventually got back with Eddie and lived a long happy life as a world famous photographer instead of becoming a dead footnote in the Billy/Daisy love story (: (:
eddie x camila is for the people who love silent pining, who love subtlety rather than in your face romance, who love angst, who love friends to lovers, who love the 'character a doesn't like anybody but character b' trope, who love the grumpy x sunshine trope, who love slow burns, AND SO MUCH MORE
book camilabilly staying together made sense but in the show theyre just obviously toxic and annoying and i wish they would breakup. how healthy daisybilly would be is debatable but emila > camilabilly easily
camila once told eddie, “you don’t just stop loving someone because things get hard. at least i don’t.” and he took that to HEART. it’s been 20 years — since a fleeting affair topped by camila rejecting him and brushing aside his feelings — and eddie STILL admits he’s in love with her.
One the one hand emila arch did a great job to make show!Camila as complex as her book version by showing her selfish side and slightly manipulative tendencies. And we here respects women's wrongs as well as women's rights.
One the other hand they made Eddie everyone's favorite baby boy and it sucks that his suffering is a price for Cami's development. Actually, maybe it could hurt less if they both hooked up just to piss Billy off and Eddie was closer to this book counterpart.
