“Tell me which of the above apples your heart desires,” James said in a ridiculous voice. “I shall free it from its confinement on the branch that is holding it back.” “What? I only get one?” Cordelia gasped in mock affront. “You claim to be gallant and deny me hundreds of apples, only offering the prospect of a single fruit?” “Of course, I would be more than happy to throw them all your way,” he said. “I simply like to prioritize. You know, so accomplish the most important acts of heroism first.” “Well then, James Herondale,” Cordelia giggled, “I must abuse my powers and ask for the one at the very center of the bunch.” - Or, James and Cordelia go to an apple orchard.
