Alright, I wanna talk about this moment in "Red Flags." Because, first, yes, Rhys Darby's face and ability to convey a whole series of emotions before he even says anything.

But second, the importance of the words themselves. Lucius points out that maybe Stede needs to really pay attention to what those wanted posters are saying. Then:

"Maybe the time he spent with you is the best it's ever going to get for him." "...I'm not ready to believe that."

It's not "I don't believe that" or "I won't believe that." He's not ready. There's an acknowledgment there that what he finds, when he does find Ed, might not be what he hopes for. But he's not ready to give up.

Stede is driven by hope. Sometimes it's hope against all odds, and sometimes it's a hope that seems to ignore reality, at least from the outside. And throughout the first few episodes of Season 2, a number of people try to tell Stede to "face facts."

Stede's hope isn't blind, though. That's what this line conveys so clearly, echoed later when he interrupts Izzy to show just how very much he does understand Ed. It's not that he refuses to believe what others are telling him, or that he refuses to believe what his own eyes will confirm. It's that he's not ready to give up. He believes exactly what he says - that Ed is a good guy. That he's hurt. That he needs help. But that he's good.

Throughout two seasons, Stede is the only person who sees Ed clearly, in part because there are things that Ed shares with him he never shares with anyone else. What looks like naivete from the outside is a depth of knowledge no one else has, not just about Ed's darkness, but about his light. Stede knows that Ed killed his father, and he's been trusted with Ed's fears and vulnerabilities. He's seen the gentleness and the kindness and the hope too. The result is that Stede is the only person who hasn't given up on Ed, including Ed himself.

When he tells Lucius he's not ready to believe that, he says it with conviction, but also with tears in his eyes. He knows that it's possible that the man he loves really is gone. He's also willing to take the risk, if there's the slightest hope he's not.

As guys flirt with Astrid Ethan just wants to touch them to remind the guys that she is taken.

He doesn’t get jealous though because it just reminds him that his girlfriend is hot “baby.” Ethan whined as he watched her laugh at something that Nick said.

Astrid would just smirk as she could feel Ethan’s hand wrap around her waist “can I help you?” She furrowed her eyebrows falling back into his lap “just wanted to say hi.” His quiet tone made her know exactly what he was trying to do but she loved it.

All she needed to do was kiss his lips “love you baby.” She mumbled staring up to him. All Ethan needed was her to be with him and that’s exactly what she did.

Luca

When he gets possessive everyone and their mother might as well know because Luca gets physical when he gets possessive “you enjoy listening to JJ?” Luca mumbled pinching at her waist.

It made Apsen jump “I just spoke to him.” She whined as Luca kissed up her neck “you saw the way he looked at you.” His fingers were warm against your stomach “like he wanted to sleep with you.” Aspen felt like a naughty child in that moment.

Luca pinched her chin in his fingers “but you know that I’m the only person who gets to do that now don’t you?” Luca asked as he began nipping at her jaw “I’m yours Lu.” Aspen tried pressing her hips against his wanting to relieve some tension between her legs.

Rutger

Bless his soul Rutger when he gets possessive because it’s usually when Emmy is talking to someone from one of her classes.

Joe was her partner for a project and Emmy couldn’t seem to forget about mentioning him to Rutger. But on this day Rutger ended up at the library with her and Joe showed up. At first it was fine but even as Emmy was in Rutgers hoodie he couldn’t help but grow jealous at how Joe was flirting with her “baby?” Rutger called out looking up from his phone.

It irritated him as Joe explained then asked if they could spend more time together “maybe tonight?” Joe offered making Rutger laugh finally making Emmy turn to him “sorry bro but my girl always comes back with me after a game.” Rutger shrugged seeing Emmy smirk at him “my bad, I’ll see you later.” As Joe got up Rutger didn’t wait to pull Emmy’s seat closer to his.

Rutger wrapped his hand around her shoulders “you know you’re cute when you’re jealous right?” Emmy giggled leaning up to kiss his cheek.

So its been a long while last I drew these two and I drew this a couple months ago I think and forgot to share here [but i am gonna be more active on here to post since twitter is going downhill, rip] 

So I got very inspired by an artist, marycrispies, who was doing modern highschool AU of the FMA characters and I really loved the fitting idea Ed would love punk rock and/or metal cause- lets be real.... considering what Edward is into and his sense of style, it screams that to a degree.

I thought about revisiting a old story being Alchemy high [and I miss the group and it had potential. idk why i deleted the deviantart group years ago but i had it back up now some time ago for fun and also like- have it exist. i do miss the fma peeps that joined very much..I do hope all of them are doing well in all honesty. I still keep the really old arts of it. i love it all. miss you guys very much <3 ]

I want to go back to Alchemy High story but considering the Alchemy High is - like how with the twilight and harry potter books where each books has its title. like example twilight having - eclipse and breaking dawn. harry potter having the chamber of secrets and deathly hollows. something like it with the story but for the story it would be Alchemy High focusing, obviously with the Highschool aspects...and then the collage Au focusing on what happens after highschool and deal with the collage parts of it. [though mostly focusing on the slice of life part of it mostly with the dorms and everything.]

its a work in progress and plan to do more arts of them tbh. ;w; just need to figure out some ideas is all ^v^
