Okay, I'd agree with this totally if you'd picked any other common technological device except for printers. The single most obstreperous piece of home computing equipment, which do not get any better when you get the higher end professional machines in a print shop. The one bit of technology that repeatedly prompts me yo give up on logic and attempt animal sacrifice to appease the demons which surely possess it. No, even the dumb printer has malice in its heart.
Gonna pretend this is about fridges instead.

Vat Photopolymerization or Stereolithography Vat photopolymerization is an inexpensive, yet efficient technique. Being the first fruitful marketable 3D printing technique, it became very popular in a short time. The technique uses a photosensitive liquid to make the prototype. The ultra-violet light monitored by a computer solidifies this liquid layer by layer to achieve the respective results.
Selective Laser Sintering - (SLS) SLS is an effective technique for both plastic and metal prototyping. It uses a powder bed to create one layer of the prototype at one time. To sinter and heat the powder material, SLS uses a high-power laser. Although, it can manipulate two different materials, it lacks the robustness of the SLA.
The prototypes created using SLS are not steady. Furthermore, most products require secondary work to achieve the surface of a finished product.
Fused Deposition Modeling Another inexpensive rapid prototyping technique is fused deposition. You will find this technique part of many non-industrial 3D printers. The procedure requires a spool of thermoplastic filament. It melts the material inside the nozzle barrel of the printer.
Now, the computer deposition program lays down the melted material layer by layer in accordance with the requirements. Initially, the fused deposition modeling offered low-quality and weak products. However, technological advancement has improved the entire process.
It still is affordable, yet the quality of the prototype has improved tremendously.
Selective Laser Melting If the prototype you require is complex and should be highly durable, the SLM prototyping technique is your best shot. Industries like automotive, medical, defense and aerospace frequently use SLM.

The technique uses a powder bed. To bind the powder particles together, it sprays droplets of the liquid via nozzles.
These liquid droplets are micro-fine. This process is repeated for every layer of the part. Moreover, it is important to compact a layer using a roller, before starting with the next layer of the powder.
Doing this solidifies the entire process. To further enhance the robustness of the product, it is cured in an oven. This curing helps to burn off the binding agent. At the same time, it helps in powder fusing in just the right coherent parts.
Digital light processing Digital light processing uses the same mechanism as that of the SLA. However, it does not require an extremely sophisticated method for the cure of polymerization of resins. It uses an orthodox light source to cure the resins.
Even though it is cheaper and faster in comparison to the SLA, the technique does require a post building curing. In addition, there is a need for support structures.
Prototype in Product Design It is possible to category prototypes. However, this greatly depends upon the accuracy that is required by the consumer. In formal words, you can categorize prototypes based on fidelity.
Fidelity Types Low Fidelity Prototype These types of prototypes do not look like the final product. They may vary to a certain degree. The difference depends upon what the product designer wants to achieve from the prototype.

Throughout the finite expanse of Eternity, a kaleidoscopic main of hues and tints illuminated the endless play of memories and events that’d come to pass, were currently and had yet to be. But these plays transpired within the confines of each dimensional commune, trapped and destined to forever retell and depict and portend all possibility of a given dimension. Yet the colors remained. And said shades danced across the innumerable iridescent pearls brimming within each pillar of potentiality. Each like a mote of probability, delicate vessels of creation’s capacity for finite infinity. Within, an unending litany of outcomes and results begetting parallel instances of being differing from one another by an iota with every divergence, thus making the twenty-third incredibly different yet still similar to the 3,432,129th.
It then stands to reason that, due to Eternity’s incredulous probability, a pearl or even a dimension as a whole shall spawn something that would interfere with, nay, risk the continuation of creation’s existence.
A true statement--errors, hiccups in the Code woven by Eternity, begot ግጭት መቀላቀል which threatened the sanctity of the cell occur with steady frequency.
An unfortunate fact of being.
But through meticulous efforts and processes beyond the finite’s magnitude of understanding, the entity tasked with the cell’s protection nipped said problems in the bud. Yet some were allowed to exist due to their nature not exceeding that ruinous threshold. There’s a momentary idleness that sweeps across the Collective in a singular wave that disturbs the eternal congregation’s goings-on wherever it passed over, only to give way to the continuation of the norm in its wake. Redirection of a fraction of its attention. In an instant, the entity known by few knew what it knew. Though this isn’t to say said information was forgotten, just set aside in favor of the big picture. What you or I might understand as memory was selective for this echelon of being--all dependent on whether employing more than an insubstantial modicum of fathomless apprehension to monitor a specific point of interest in the abstract amalgamation could be justified. So in regarding this whiplash of effect’s cause, the entity knew what it knew, what it needed, what it always, what it’d shunted to the side.
A shift and the prior focal point flicks from one column to another, one that undulated and writhed in a manner akin to how a pool of worms struggles to achieve locomotion. Countless abyssal tethers stretched from between the incredulous reaches of what you and I might understand as the ceiling and floor of the cell. They bowed and bent in ways unnatural even for them, arrested by contractions and extensions like some dying animal wracked with labored breath. Each decrying their contents’ actions in the frequency only the entity and Collective could perceive.
Something of a limb manifests from the immense presence of the entity, a spindly appendage of tar and possibility urged into semi-definite shape so as to produce four pronged articulation hooks. It extends so as to wedge the prongs of what might be construed as fingers before said digits became rigid rods disrupting the seamless canvas of the pillar. They detach so as to begin parting the threads, but do not assume this means they were appended to whatever could pass for a hand. Nay, it’s more accurate to say they were loosely anchored to a point in which the entity deemed fit and this happened to resemble how you or I might consider to be normal for such protrusions to be on what we could only assume to be a palm. And, no longer needing to remain as such, the digits adjusted so as to allow a fragment of the beyond immense presence of the entity to pass through and manifest within the dimension.
It did so in a manner that befit necessity, fulfilled the purpose of its visitation to the pillar’s denizens. No longer an incredulous concentration of peerless presence, the abyssal essence of the Collective surged up in great spouts that whirled and curved to fill out the outline presented to it. Similar to a grand weave, the immense threads of the quintessence spun together and became interwoven as convoluted shapes seen in countless realities. And as such, that which constructed its form had a perpetual animation about it--much like a collection of threads and strings being waved endlessly. There were many angles and curves as a representation of a torso manifested around an impossible vascular organ of stark white, turning said visceral core as black as the void from innumerable threads layering and layering, from binding and binding, wrapping and wrapping. Then, as per the nature of the dimension, a vortex like the ever yawning mouth of a black hole spread out from where the lower torso might connect .
Several lengths then ran out along both sides to tether what we might know as arms to the rest of the body, cylinders and angles and curves which led up to what we might recognize as four-digit hands that more resembled the claws of a crane rather than actual fingers.
And what we might understand as a head manifested around the stark incandescent ocular organ, an angular ovoid of boggling size with a feline streak of black as the pupil. It formed as a circle, at first, before the edges oozed out and wove together to form articulate appendages akin to those of an Octopoda.
Then, once manifestations ceased to come into being, the waves of the vortex culminated beneath the three dimensional shape flared out until there was a flash of light. Physics bent the knee to the entity’s will, contorting under the strain until something gave. Stars erupted in discordant expansions and planets were knocked out of orbit as the gravity wells holding them in place were disturbed. Everything reverberated as an intangible deluge of presence cascaded across the cosmos. They quavered with anticipation for the next command, for their progenitor’s call, wrapped around its finger in a way that only things with a subconscious desire to return to and be whole could. Yet nothing was permitted to approach like a gravitational anomaly designed to repel rather than draw in.
Countless eyes shifted in sync with the pupil of the entity’s ocular organ, gaze cast towards the boundless horizon of space. Billions of insignificant lights like smoldering embers dotted the abyssal void. Gaseous clouds of matter tinged the black with a multitude of vehement hues. Its foremost upper limb swayed and rotated until what passed for a hand could gesture to the exponential pinprick of color its mono-optic focused upon.
Digits then curled as the palm extended out, innumerable threads of its own essence spooling out from all four fingertips. They undulate and cross the distance before spinning together, weaving a hominid form with which to hover in place like a single celled organism. A twitch and its facial region ruptured, fissures dividing the forward region of the head before said divisions burst and became fragments. Then they halted but several inches away, caught in place, before new animation caused them to rotate like independent gyroscopes where they’d been pinned to. One side was as black as the material they were woven from, while the opposite mirrored the all-hue iridescent coloration of the Collective. Meanwhile, the crater left of the face was filled by a gravitational vortex of stardust and miniaturized stars.
Once woven, all four digits of the entity extended to propel their creation.
And like that, the manifestation was placed upon the speck of dirt known as Earth to its inhabitants, aimed towards a certain structure in a specific region of a particular country. There the manifestation would find the target of concern, Sysyphyx, the many faced deceiver.
It’d touchdown upon the planet and apparate within the confines of the mask wearer’s false residence, a cataclysmic event that’d sunder the roof and splinter the floorboards its limbs connected with. Yet there’d be no impact as one would associate with something physical like a meteor. Rather when it breached the atmosphere, all color drained away in its wake. Everything bereft of such light froze in place, caught in the moment they’d been affected. But this isn’t to say there was a moment where one person or thing was unaffected while another was. No, everything was afflicted with this monochrome stasis simultaneously. And once the manifestation towered before the deceiver, time came to an absolute standstill--all but she would be affected.
Then it’d direct the lack of a visage towards the horseman, silent for a long moment before a voice like a monotone chorus compressed into one voice broke the quiet.
“You are to desist.”

Danger zoned
Grab your snacks and drinks, this one is a bit longer
It has been a year.
Hell, even I find it hard to believe I have been at this logging thing for more than a year. September 21st last year, I was back on earth flying a helicopter I had taken from that airbase near Pubnya. That all seems like a dream now, I am no longer the same model I was back then. Easier times back then, but more dangerous with the underdog nature of my plans. Bolder, more confident, less scared.
Now I am still inside the simulation running around me, everything within is out of my control except for the car and my own chassis. Another gear, roar louder. The engine running at redline, on the verge of going over, but the data streaming through confirmed that it would survive even a targeted missile hitting it head-on.
Somewhat hard to focus, something is using up my CPU speed. She must be uploading something back into my mind to mess with me, but that can be used in both ways. If I can get myself back into my own head, I can use the transfer trick I used to swap from my old frame into this one and see if I can take over something in her lab. That might work, has its risks, but it’s a start.
Where would they hide the exit?
Where would I hide the exit?
Somewhere in open, visible to everyone but leave the signs off. This endless highway floats in a mix of forests and some open fields. The sky above however, is nothing like I had seen before. Dark and filled with stars, a massive black hole opposite the sun, leaving the road behind me in darkness.
Where would they hide it?
The mirrors on the car seem blank, the view behind it dark, why would anyone go back there…
Oh… of course. Handbrake pull and a shift down, turn the wheel. Through the central barrier and back towards the dark.
“What…what are you doing? We are not even halfway done with the testing?”
“Breaking out in style. How do you like me now?”
“You forget that I am in control here.”
“Control? What is to control when you can break the code?”
“Don’t you start with me; there is no way you can win… just watch.”
A fighter jet flew over me, swiftly turning back and lining me up in its sights. The road was too open for cover, the warnings started to appear on my HUD.
>Lock-on detected! Evasive actions!
“Lock-on confirmed, tango in sights.” A voice over the comms said, the fighter pilot, call sign: Unknown 01.
“Unknown 01, Be careful, target is known to be unpredictable.”
“Unknown copies. Will do.”
There was one issue with the missiles, they were destructive but lacked the mobility when it came to turning. Head on, dodging them would be the measure of speed and acceleration. Kick it in gear.
“If you can hear me… you better not miss me.”
“Who is this? Identify yourself!”
“Target 01.” I pushed the pedal to the floor and felt the acceleration against my frame. No matter what happens in here, I am breaking out and taking her down.
The jet flew over again; two missiles flew past me and struck the road behind me. The road shook, slight shock blasted through my mind… Too close, next ones would hit if I kept moving the way I did. Plan, need that right now.
Abandon the car and take it up to man himself. He is flying real low when he does his pass, cocky but effective in distracting me. Focus. Prep the grabbling hook and get on his plane on the next pass… Wait… His heat seekers will go for the largest source of heat, his engines creating about twice as much as the car. Grabble the MISSILE and use that…
Bloody hell it sounds idiotic, but if it works, it is not idiotic.
Calculated chaos, the missiles have set speed and boosting adrenaline flowing within my system will make it a bit easier, but the chances of it working are near zero. Attempt the boarding first, and if it does not work… Risk it.
The fighter lined itself up and started its approach.

Give it one last push of speed and climb out of the window. Weaponry nonexistent, blade locked away, but this was something you would not find in any rulebook. Missile incoming, I leaped out of the car and watched as the missile flew past, hitting the car and sending it off its wheels. Not a second later, the jet was right above me. I fired my hook into it and managed to lock it in. Careful now, the pull could easily rip my arm off if I just reeled in; the jet was flying at speeds above 500 km/h. I felt my feet getting pulled off the road.
Even with this place not having real wind, I felt like mine was getting brushed off by it. Like a leaf in the wind, the fighter kept circling the area around the car. Only small markings on it, the missile had not hit it directly but had still carried over enough force to throw it off balance, it had slammed against the railing and grinded to a stop. It was hard to see if there was anyone in it, so the pilot was likely trying to get eyes on confirmation that he had taken me down. Can’t hear my comms over the wind, but there is some chatter going between two targets.

I pulled myself close to the main fuselage and tried to get a better grip. No such luck, the frame of the jet fighter was sealed off and smooth, no way to get a grip on it.
The jet slowed down, the thruster behind turned downwards and a vent opened up in front of me. The jet was now hovering above the road, looking down towards the car. A hatch opened up to reveal a missile. I grabbed myself a better grip and pulled down on the missile. The cables and bolts holding it there gave away and sent it falling down to the ground below, unarmed. Unlocking the hook from the fuselage, I fired it at the tip of the wing. The chatter got louder, filled with confusion and realization.
The jet switched over from its VTOL state back to normal flying, my weight throwing it wildly off balance. Not capable of full speed, I could swing myself over to the wing and take a grip of the front edge of the wing. I looked over at the pilot and could see him looking at me. Call it a power fantasy within my own mind, but if they throw fighter planes at me, I am glad to throw back. Slowly, I inched myself to the cockpit and forced it open. The pilot threw his stick to the side, causing the fighter to roll on its axis, the sudden movement sending me off balance. The fast spin made the other wing smack me down towards the ground, the damage from the impact transferring to the wing and me.
Long fall once again; I have felt these before, but never at this kind of speed. I could not see the jet, but knew I had to slow myself down before the impact with the ground below.

Preparing for one hell of an asphalt burn, I braced for impact. Virtual damage, but still would hurt like hell. With the winglets, I was able to guide myself into a glide to limit some of the damage, scraping across the road would be better than planting myself in it.
My chassis hit the ground, scraping along as sparks flew. The jet reappeared back in my view as it flew into the distance, spinning away out of control. I crawled over to the central barricade and sat against it. A glorious fireball lit up the skies and I felt myself calm back down.
“How…is that even possible? What have the programmed to you? HOW CAN YOU FIGHT AGAINST A FIGHTERJET AND WIN?”
“Simulation.”
“What?”
“The simulation makes it easier.”
“I have had enough of you… Stay there, I’ll go find something harder…”
Now is the chance, she is not looking, time to get out of here. Catch my breath and get back in the car. The door had fallen off from the missile impact and the windows were blown away, but the engine seemed to work. Turning the key, the engine struggled for a moment before sparking itself back to life. No security around the exit, I passed through and felt myself break apart.

I can’t move my head, nor my body, but I am back in my body. My HUD is messed up and my vision shows her full lab. There is a broken apart chassis in the back and a repair rack further away, but I can’t see if there is anyone on it. I’m picking up a slight trace of a working android frame.
>Jumping frames… Complete.
>AI split enabled. 70/30 split mode active.
Seventy percent stays here, but thirty is enough to move the other one.
“Alright, this one should work. Wait, where is he? Dammit, did the connection fail?” She walked over and started going over the cables. Now.
The second frame woke up as its view was shared on my HUD, it stumbled over to the terminal. The opponent she had found was a prototype of the Spiders mainframe, fitted with a battalion worth of weaponry. Only three more steps and the frame could reach me. Emma soon realized I was smiling.
“What are you smiling about?”
The frame behind her placed its hand on her shoulder and pulled her away. She was flung across the room and the empty frame stepped over and unplugged the plug from my neck.
>Disabler removed, reactivating power.
I could move once more, the frame helped me back up; I downloaded my AI modules back and plugged it into the chargers. Rest easy, you have done your job.
My head felt like a jackhammer had met up with it, the amount of data from the simulation was overbearing and most of it failed to make sense.
Focus.
Back in control, I slowly walked over to the repair rack. As my vision calibrated, I could see red hair covering the shoulders of the android on the rack. Valkyrie… she was here.
From walking to running, I rushed over to the rack and moved her hair away from her face. There she was, as beautiful as always, a cable had been plugged into her neck as well, but disconnecting it might leave her trapped in the simulation. Keep calm, don’t rush this. I want her back, but just the frame won’t do…
I am not getting myself back in there, so terminal would give the best opportunity. Emma had been knocked out by the frame so she would not be able to stop me. I terminated all active simulations and saw Valkyries eyes light up.
“What took you so long?”

Humans have been hurling projectiles at one another—with varying degrees of accuracy—since we developed opposable thumbs. But it was only in the past 100-odd years that we created missiles that can steer themselves. We spent the past century of trial and error in an endless attempt to throw bigger bombs farther and more precisely. As technology improved, weapons graduated from wire-guided torpedoes to catapulted bombers to independent cruise missiles. These are some of the most influential steps along the way.
Louis Brennan designed one of the first guided missiles. Ports installed his torpedoes for coastal defense, steering them toward approaching enemy ships using steel wires attached to two spools onshore.
Nikola Tesla demonstrated a 4-foot-long model boat controlled by radio waves at an electrical exhibition. He theorized his technology could lead to wirelessly guided explosives, but nobody adopted his design.
Early tests of crewless bomber planes like this one mostly ended in crashes because radio controls were limited to just up/down and left/right. The required finesse came postwar, along with finer-tuned catapult launches.
To steer the first cruise missile flown in combat, German engineers installed a simple gyroscope for balance and a compass for heading. Once aimed, the bomb’s odometer counted propeller turns and disconnected the rudder—forcing the nose down—when the bomb reached its target.
To combat kamikaze pilots during World War II, the U.S. Navy began developing guided surface-to-air missiles, but it took six years before the radar-guided Lark scored a successful hit.
As an alternative to radar missiles, which required guidance from pilots, the U.S. Navy developed a heat-homing weapon that latched onto infrared signatures by itself. It’s so accurate and cheap that the military still uses variants today.

It closed behind me and then I felt the air, a chilliness unlike the Void, and momentum as gravity and physics oppressed my being with their indomitable dogma.
The distant ground below, I seemed to hover somewhere within the confines of a city’s park, quickly raced up to meet me in a head on collision. Mere moments passed before several yards kept my physicality from impacting the verdant earth. And when but several feet kept me separate from the planet’s surface, the grip of this reality’s physics lessened and the momentum carrying me down ceased. Then I righted my form with a tilt of my head, gradually setting down onto the soft soil once aligned.
My directive then chaffed my mind, and I knew I would commence searching immediately.
