The lack of accountability for the officer, badge #115, who took Khalil's life is nothing short of insanity. It's a painful reminder of a system that too often fails to deliver justice. Khalil's tragic story is not isolated; it echoes the larger issue of systemic injustice and a dire need for reform. We cannot turn a blind eye to the countless lives affected by such actions. It's time for change, for accountability, and for justice to prevail.

News from Australia, 4 July
A one-year-old Aboriginal girl named Kailee died at Perth Children's Hospital, leading to allegations of neglect and racism from hospital staff. The girl's mother claimed medical staff lied about her daughter's condition and neglected her. The hospital denied the allegations, saying timely and appropriate care was provided.
2. A police officer is due to appear in court for allegedly tasering a 95-year-old woman with dementia, causing her to suffer a fractured skull and ultimately leading to her death.
The officer has been charged with recklessly causing grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and common assault.
The possibility of upgrading the charges is being considered by the NSW Police Commissioner following the woman's death.
3. The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) kept interest rates steady at 4.10% to assess the impact of past hikes and warned that further tightening might be necessary to control inflation.
Economic data has been mixed, with a cooling inflation reading arguing for a pause, but strong jobs and retail sales figures suggesting the need for further action by the RBA.
There is a decent chance of a rate hike in August, especially if the second-quarter inflation figures reveal that inflation remains high.
4. Introducing a fuel-efficiency standard in Australia could save drivers up to $10,000 over the life of their vehicles and reduce carbon emissions by 31 million tonnes by 2035.
The policy would also lead to a 2.8% annual reduction in the price of electric cars and deliver economic and environmental benefits worth $13.6 billion by 2035.
The study highlights the importance of implementing a fuel-efficiency standard to encourage the adoption of zero- and low-emission vehicles, while acknowledging that there may be modest price increases for petrol and diesel vehicles.

On the orders of the president Muhammadu Buhari, the military and police shot at unarmed protesters who were peacefully protesting for an end against police brutality. They shut off the lights and cctv, using the darkness to commit atrocities against their fellow citizens. We stand in solidarity with the brave Nigerians who are fighting for change against an oppressive regime. They are being martyred in this revolutionary struggle to make Nigeria better for future generations. We will not forget. Rest in peace to the innocents who have lost their lives in this bloodshed 💔💔

Derek Chauvin was charged for the murder of George Floyd today, and for just a moment it felt like a fresh breath. A small victory.
Just to turn around and find out while the verdict was happening, 16 year old Ma’khia Bryant was shot in the chest four times in Columbus, Ohio after calling the police for help. She called them for help, and now she is dead.
It’s hard to keep up with the killings at this point. There’s a new name to call out every time you turn around.
Again please share any donation and other important links you have in support for Ma’khia and her family as well as other black lives devastated by police brutality, or black trans youth links, or black businesses. Anything of that matter and I will pass them on.
My heart and soul goes out to the black community, your life matters.
That sweet baby girl will always matter. Rest in Power Ma’khia Bryant.
I should be getting back to writing soon. As of right now I’m just asking you to educate yourself more and more each day. Listen to and amplify black voices. Support black business.
I’m also asking you to get some rest, take a hot bath, do some kind of self care. Take care of yourself, I love you.

Dear conservatives : it doesn't matter the crime, the police are never meant to be the judge, jury or especially never, the EXECUTIONER. Their job is simply to arrest you and/or fine you/serve papers .

Trigger warning: Mapping police violence This database provides up-to-date resources on mapping the instances of police violence, which *sanitized term* “disproportionately affects” the Black community.
