I wanted to go back to some brushes and shading techniques I hadn't used in a while, feat. Hyth

Ben has finally completed 6.5 tonight - this was the one thing I wanted to finish up before 6.55 dropped, and I made it! Tomorrow or the next day, he'll also hit level 90 on his CUL, and I can work on getting him geared up to start doing daily leves for gil.

Not sure why this time around it felt so much more difficult to finish - probably because I had to work Ben through all of Shadowbringers and Endwalker to get him to this point. It will be nice to take a short break before the next patch!

I know I complained about Post-ARR but really after you get past (Hard) Primals and the Crystal Tower Raid. I’ve done it so much is like riding a bike. Unlike Stormblood. No matter how many times I do Stormblood is like riding a bike down extremely rocky terrain...and the terrain is the two Zenos suppose to lose fights, having to run across Ruby Sea before you get diving, the weird placement of the aether quests in Yanxia, the Dotharl camp not having a falcon or aetheryte making it a bit of chore to go out to, the fucking Naadam, the weird placement of most of the Steppe’s aetheryte quests, the second half of all the Ala Mhigo sections, the FUCKING LOCHS, the Lakshmi Post-Stormblood fight, the Sadu fight, the battle in the Ruby Sea, and the janky bouncing between Lochs and Doman Enclave in rapid succession plus the Enclave just automatically slowing down mounts if you haven’t upgrade it yet. And lastly the Elidizenos fight starting with a painfully slow first fight with him via Hien. Stormblood is just a drag to get through everytime, even when it was new to me and new in general. Stormblood is what made me quit FFXIV for WoW Legion’s fel green pastures the first time.

(dont mind the typo'd names trying to keep this out of their tags) i get mad about people who cannot consume media critically. like, i have a friend who is a diehard fan of fimaly famtasy xv who cannot accept the criticism of "yeah, some shit had to go wrong for the story to have been patched 3 times". like, yes, of course you can like garbage media! but you have to know its garbage media. i'd never recommend the trauma cemter games to anyone without the explicit caveat of "yeah, they've got supremely bad takes on suicide", and tt is my favorite game of all time.

reasons why emmanellain de fortemps should transition to dancer as his primary class [several points about the implications for him and sicard at the end]

CANONICALLY emmanellain is very very good at dancing (normal) is it really that hard for him to start dancing (with blades). he would be so good at it he already knows the moves and the vibes

a lot of emmanellain's struggles come with feeling the pressure of being put into a box he does not fit! he's seen as a failure because people didn't see or didn't care about the things he is good at! the firmament quests show he IS good at making allies, he's friends with the redbills, he helped lighten the mood in broken glass! he's great in a social scene, he's perfect for lightening a mood, and i must stress he is CANONICALLY very good at dancing

he HAS grown as a knight, and i'm very proud of my cringefail baby brother, but i think it would be very healing for him to branch out from ishgard and heavy armor to pick up something more freeing (and also he should come to tural with us emmanellain dt sweep)

i could see him fitting in great with the dancer quests

CANONICALLY emmanellain steals sicard's clothes. sicard wears aiming gear. they could share aiming outfits and emmanellain could wear his boyfriend's pretty v neck into battle instead of the full coverage fortemps armor are you seeing the image

can you imagine how much worse (better) emmsic would be if they were ranged dps boyfriends

tock's own storybook about her times would be sickly cute and very obviously fictionalized for children to an extent. ysayle plays a part as an ice witch trying to help the mistaken dragons and estinien is a cruel beast who tock tames and turns to the good side. alphinaud is a toy soldier given life by a magical spell and raised by scholars far away before meeting tock and learning to be brave and his sister is a toy ballerina given the same magic spells who saved herself as well and wants to become strong. endwaker is even more distorted to make it understandeable to children so hermes becomes a great magician with a soft spot for animals and meteion is his talking bird who flew to the edge of the universe, and vrtra is a dragon prince that shapeshifts into a human boy. hades is a crochety old wizard who likes to be left alone and tock makes sure to emphasis how hes constantly slouching and grumbling like a wet cat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
