❝ ----- i wouldn’t say andy and i are in a FIGHT ... it’s more of a heavy discussion. but he IS on a nudes ban until i get an apology text. like it’s MY fault he forgot his sheet music at rehearsal yesterday. ❞  she digs her spoon into her cup of ice cream morosely ( birthday cake flavor ). she never expected to get this close to someone like finn clifton --- usually she tells ryan these things, or parker maybe --- & yet, here they are getting ice cream on a saturday afternoon. perhaps they had been drawn to each other out of necessity ---- by CRUSHING on the other’s best friend, for instance. funny how these little things happen.

   he presses himself further into finn’s side, burying his face into the other boy’s neck. he continues to play with finn’s fingers, doing his best to calm himself and not wince everytime he moves his wrist. doing so only reminds him of being home and that’s the last place he wants to be right now. “thanks,” he whispers into finn’s skin, “for letting me stay here. for everything.”

that’s what it SOUNDS like the other boy is saying, anyway.  the engine room --- or really, a network of corridors & chambers & smoking, hissing tanks full of god knows what, located in the belly of the ship --- was loud. louder than the loudest scream that had ever been given on mars. gardner had wanted, BEGGED for a job --- & he’d gotten one, HERE, in the heart of the ship. 

judging from the outstretched hand, he assumes the young ensign ( really, he couldn’t have been more than a few years older than him --- IF THAT ) had wanted something from the toolbox at gardner’s feet. his hand hovers over the top tray, hesitant ; he’d fancied himself something of a handyman at genesis, but he doesn’t recognize half the things here.

                Curious lights twinkled from her eyes while she attempted to understand what exactly this boy was attempting. Whatever sense he had in the matter was baffling the blond to an extent she did not initially expect. Although, she was fascinated at the same time while attempting to fit together the pieces of logic in his work.
