Eyes narrowing as his head whipped towards the male, lips curving downwards. Was the young teen seriously nibbling on his arm right now? Eyes flickering towards the arm in question than back up at the other. He was, just what the hell? This almost makes the male regret agreeing to attend Nancy’s barbeque, well he already regretted it because it was boring - no offense to the female but damn. ❝Hey there zombie boy, I’m not a meal to nom on.❞ Steve mused as he raised two fingers from his free hand and pressed them against Mike’s forehead. ❝So how about you go and nom on someone else, hell they may taste way better than me.❞

i feel like you two are my go tos for the nancy is guardian of mike and holly. but nance just learning how to cook. and doing EVERYTHING to try and get a part time job so they still have enough money when the money from their parents runs out.

and some nights when she’s put holly to bed and made sure mike is asleep, she just curls up on their parents bed and cries

❝ Um... ❞ Will hesitates for a moment, looking at Mike suspiciously, but still amused. He wonders if it’s like when Lucas did that with Dustin and Dustin ended up with water thrown to his face. But firstly, the weather is hot enough to welcome such a little prank...and secondly, he doubts Mike would do that to him. So, he does close his eyes  ❝ Okay. ❞

A blush immediately spread on her face. It was just like Mike to surprise her with a kiss when El was lost in her own head. And it looked like he brought another surprise, too.

This is just my own take on it but I think while mike has a hard time saying he loves el (which kinda makes sense to me given their younger age and the idea of loving someone romantically can seem intense and scary when you’re first experiencing it) I think he would have no issue showing it. 

Small gestures of affection and grand gestures to show how much he cares about her. Not just the saving her life when they’re in danger but also at times pulling off these romantic dates that show how much he’s listened to her. How much he knows her. I think in the early seasons they have a lot of honest communication. So he learns a lot about her.

🕹️Honestly, how could one boy talk so much? It was getting ridiculous. When she had come over to learn about D&D she hadn’t expected it to be an entire lecture. Rolling her eyes slightly, she looked over at Mike- just... looking at him. Honestly, Mike wasn’t that bad looking- sure he could be annoying, frustrating and irritating... He was... easy on the eyes, his hair... looked soft- was soft. Don’t ask. With how long she was looking at Mike, it was a surprise he didn’t say anything. But then again, he wouldn’t get much of a chance before she was leaning over and shutting him up herself.

When she obliged him, he snaked his lanky arms around her waist and pulled her closer to him. His face was buried in her shoulder and his taller form practically enveloped her.

🕹️Max raised a brow at his words, since could he be any more weird. Rolling her eyes, she decided to humor him and made her way over to where he wanted her to sit. Sitting down cross legged, she was about to ask him what was up before she felt him snake his arms around her and pull her back against him. A small nose of protest escaped the shorter as she tried to wiggle free but of course, considering he practically enveloped her it was a losing battle unless she played dirty. She was trying to rack her brain for why he was acting like this but she kept drawing a blank... unless... his nana actually did pass away. For real this time- unaware of the actual reason behind this hug.

You often expect the big brother to pick on his little sister but with mike and holly it’s the other way around. She doesn’t do it out of malice. It’s out of love and it’s her way of trying to encourage him. Also she’s the only one allowed to bully him so she would definitely stand up to his bullies when she sees he’s being messed with. I think on more than one occasion she tried to beat one of his bullies with a bat.

Holly rolled her eyes in annoyance. Wiping the dirt from her forehead. “Quit being a wuss mike. We’ve got shit we need to do.” Between the two of them holly was definitely more eager to jump into action. If she had it her way she would fight the monsters all on her own without even the help of el. “Isn’t your girlfriend tired of playing hero all the time? We really should give her a break. This is the perfect opportunity if you ask me.”

🕹️Alright so this one is definitely going to be more friendship based with... maybe or two actual ships.

Max X Mike (I am a sucker for enemies to friends, to lovers. Especially with @twistedstxrs‘ Mike and with @entitytaken‘s new Mike.) Honestly, I just liked the energy they had, especially since the two of them probably had the most friction and that’s interesting to me. I like that. Plus the little moment they had in the gym, where Mike actually started to warm up a little to Max- the two of them finally coming to realize that they’re more alike than they think is just. Mmm.

Max X El. Honestly, Max helping El grow as a person and allow her to explore and figure herself out would be interesting. Especially since El was the one who originally didn’t like Max, the fact that El went to Max for help shows how close they are and that she values Max’s opinion- they also listen to each other and know how to have fun.

Now for the friendship side of things:

Max and Steve, with the upcoming season, Max needs a supportive figure in her life. Someone who will listen and actually be there for her since her brother is dead, her step father is gone and her mother... well her mother’s there but not really there.

Max and Will, this is more focused on the stuff I’m doing with @williambycrss but, honestly I feel like they could have been really good friends. Max making snappy comments about other people with Will and two of them just overall being close friends who have each other’s backs.

Max and Robin, or Max and Eddie ( @entitytaken​ ) Again, give her a good sibling figure. She needs it. She needs a good support system man, and needs someone to listen to her and give her good advice. Since well... Steve’s advice can be questionable at times.

Perhaps he would have believed it once, or rather it would have been true. He had always been honest with Mike, he never had to lie him. So it was entirely possible that Will wouldn’t be convincing when he was lying. Maybe still isn’t, but this doesn’t mean Mike knows...well, anything. Anything that doesn’t involve El, that is and even then he often seems to be completely clueless ❝ Well, I don’t think you would know it if I was a convincing liar, would you? ❞

Sometimes, Will wonders if Jonathan thinks that his smoking...activity with his new friend Argyle, is a secret. At least he has a new friend, unlike Will and El who remain the pariahs at their school. He can’t imagine how it would be, if he didn’t have her  — a thought that had never crossed his mind when she was spending all of her time with Mike.  Will looks up from his sketch book, deciding to humour his brother. Or support him, if this is actually serious and not the result of the weed in his system. ❝ Please, tell me this isn’t about missing Nancy. ❞
