I'm really excited about this one

So I personally haven't liked the typesets of Between Us Flows the Nile--the ones I've found have been entirely typeset in Papyrus 🤦which, guuuuyyyyyys, the point of typesetting is to reeeeeeaaaaaddddd the book--but I've been rather looking forward to reading it. I wanted to make it look like an Egyptomania-era book, so produced in about the 1850's-1900's, but with just a little twist--the verticle headers. I literally have no hate against Papyrus. It's a decorative font. There are fonts meant to be read for long stretches, like an ivory, cream or eggshell wall paint, and there are fonts meant to be decorative, like wallpaper trim.
Ignore that sparkle though. I forgot I was going to break this one element into break decorations. Ideally, I'd really like to get the endpapers used by another typesetter, printed on black with gold foil. I wonder if Office Whatever would do a custom print like that for me, or if they even have black paper as an option. I'm chuckling imagining that "hey lady, you printed black on black, are you alright?" me: watch this *makes 90s TV ninja noises and hand gestures*
It would be easier to get a simple laminator and some corresponding HTV than all of that PLUS a laser printer right now.
That reminds me, slightly off topic, but I was looking at pink EPS, because the foil stuff is totally not appropriate--goddamn. Was pink foam always that expensive??? It's over thirty-five bucks back where I come from; but it's only a few more dollars up here, so.......yeeeeessshhh. I guess I'm just going to have to use like, wood or composite of some sort to make my printer shelves.
I was also thinking about making some kind of stand/shelf for the TV so I can have an external display for the laptop, so I can maybe hopefully--if the laptop can tolerate it--watch movies while I work.
And since I was on my Home Makeovers kick, I was thinking about using like, produce carton cardboard to make myself some little like, floating/wall bookshelves. I would have to take the cats into account, which is fine, you'd just put a top over the shelf; I was going to put walls for bookends anyway, because cats, and also, I'm clumsy/flailing and I often do uncoordinated stuff.
Actually, I'd probably just make some regular shelves, because, I have to say, living in old-ass apartments on the mountains, this shit has settled more crazy than anything in Wisconsin ever had. It is nearly impossible to get anything to hang straight. I'd say usually, I'm pretty good at eyeballing stuff. Up here? I'm already standing at an angle that I don't notice, but it really bothers me when I put a cup of beverage down, or fill my cats' water bowl. I'm like trying to fill the damn bowl and water is just spilling out the low end. SO. In conclusion. Not on the walls.
But.
I still need bookshelves. I'm still collecting books on the actual like, theory of comic books, and now I'm also gathering like, books I loved in high school, as well as books about bookbinding. As well as, of course, books that I've made. Except my sketchbooks. Those are special. Anyway. That's my tangent. I want to build stuff.
