not only is he shaking, but you can hear how scarred he was in his voice. while he did succeed in his mission, there were still things he 'failed' during it even though there wasn't a choice. plus, he saw imu and barely escaped the gorosei. he is shaken up by that day

and not to make things worse or anything... (as i think about this a lot and did mention it before...) imagine sabo checking luffy's vivre card and helplessly watching it burn away. when he swore- /vowed/ to be by his brother's side no matter where he was. but all is good cause luffy's alive !!

still, despite the mission's success, he couldn't do what he wanted. he couldn't save cobra and he watched lulusia disappear. he's badly injured yet when he returned, he smiles and laughs as he is happily welcomed in arms.

and mind you, sabo Is an emotional person. he was raging when he saw kuma's state during the start of reverie. and as i looked back at chapter 1085, he screams out cobra's name as he watches him die...

imagine how sabo feels in that very moment. how he feels watching someone he wanted to save die in front of him. even though cobra told him not to, sabo tried anyway but couldnt. like how he couldnt protect his brothers because he didnt remember them until it was too late

The thing is, we don't know about the Heart Pirates but we do know about Bepo and Law (at least in passing).

What we know is that both are alive, as shown from the frame above from chapter 1117. Bepo is patched up, which means someone's seen to his wounds. Bepo was calling to Law about Vegapunk's discussion of the holders of the initial D. (Bepo, therefore knowing that Law holds it).

I'd like to think that Law fixed him up. I also think Law's just off camera (maybe hanging out with the crew!), but I know that others have more pessimistic points of view. Anyhoo, these two are alive and kicking, and I think if Bepo was devastated (as he would be, if the crew was gone), he'd look it.

The thing is that we don't know about Kid and the Kid Pirates, but we do know about the Fake Kid Pirates! (picture below).

And as we know, they stepped in as the Fake Straw Hats when the Straw Hats were presumed dead, but were not. I'm taking it as a sign.

Through a lot of the episode, it was me going "we haven't seen this (particular event/introduction) yet?"

Then watching the next time had me going "that hasn't happened either?" before I remembered, yeah, the first time Shirahoshi is attempted to be kidnapped, it's stopped by the Celestial Dragon her mom saved; the second time is Leo and Sai (Strawhat Fleet).

I've been waiting since the beginning of the season to get to this part of the story. And we still haven't gotten to Sabo's explanation.

Still love the Revolutionary Army's approach of a forced boycott; don't let supplies in. Obviously that's not going to solve everything, but it tickled me to see. I also just really enjoyed seeing them? Like, it was nice to see characters who wanted to free slaves because that was (part) of the objective.

Quandary I answer myself whilst I am typing up my confusion: I'm still somewhat baffled by CP9/CP0, not so much that they're still working for the government, but why was there this whole cover story about them escaping and earning money to give Lucci medical aid when the WG clearly is hiring them again? Why wouldn't the WG have handled that? Oh! Maybe because of the Buster Call. To follow procedure, the WG and Marines would have let all of CP9 die. Ah! There we go.

Also, want to say I really love Vivi and just the Alabasta characters in general. I like how aware she is of political situations and dynamics.
