Oof that’s hard. When I have a bad day, I mainly read hurt/comfort and they rarely make me smile. I’m going with Books and songs by alanija/ @erdfrauchen because it’s so sweet, I bet it would make a smile appear on my face even if I was in a bad mood.

Maybe I’m biased because it was written with my likes and wishes in mind and then gifted to me but, midsummer’s a summer away by xnowimnothing/ @ao3userxnowimnothing. I just had to know how it ends and how they get together and I read it way too fast

I don’t really subscribe to authors or fics, especially not in the BC fandom because I look often enough into the tag that it would be hard to miss anything😅

I think we’re alone now by exquisiteagony/ @exquisiteagony or actually all their fics. I’m just very in love with their writing style, and all the emotions, and the relationships between the characters and the lore, especially with fantasy stuff. I can only recommend the Blooddrunk AU.

rules: list your top 5 favorites of your fics, what they're about, and why you're proud of them, then tag some fic authors to do the same!

1. Paint me the sun, the moon, and the stars It’s funny because I’m not even really into the soulmate trope and I was fairly new to writing poly relationships, but I just feel like that this is one of my best works writing wise and how I portrayed them together and as characters, and the emotions, and how the story progressed. Yeah, I just love everything about it💕

2. Should I sink or swim or simply disappear? This one just means a lot to me personally and I’m proud I finished it mostly because it really helped me understanding myself a bit better and helping me process my own feelings, and be more open open mental health in general. I had the one or other oh moment while writing it.

3. I’m caught beneath with nothing left to give I was always afraid to touch stories of other authors because what if my ideas don’t live up to the original fic? But I was just so inspired by the original series that I tried something new because while I do love to write about hurt/comfort and angst, I never went into this direction, but I think I captured Aleksi’s situation really well, and my writing style was different here too, so that was fun!

4. The feeling of your skin locked in my head I know, I know, I always said I won’t ever write smut, and after every smut fic I say I won’t do it again as quickly, and I always thought I would suck at it, but turns out, no, I can write it. And I’m proud of myself for trying and getting so much better at it, and this fic I like especially because of the feelings in it and having a very soft Joonas, and the relationship with Aleksi is just so sweet🥰

5. More than just Alive Why do I like it? It’s a coffeeshop AU which I absolutely love reading, very insecure main characters (love to make them suffer), and a very sweet love story. It’s also my second finished multichapter, and I was really proud of doing it because I didn’t trust myself fully pulling through. But I did!

Honorary mention because I couldn’t decide between the last one and this one: Please stay away from me, because angst (duh), loved hinting at Aleksi’s backstory and how I incorporated it into the fic.
