It’s been five years since he first met Eren and Levi still couldn’t quite believe how lucky he was to be standing next to him on a beach half-way across Europe, just the two of them and no one else. There was no Armin to ask awkward questions that left both of them flustered, and no Erwin to make subtle jabs at Levi’s hopeless crush. No Mikasa o glare daggers at Levi and no Hanji to talk both their ears off, unintentionally covering up for Levi’s fumbling,. Back then, Levi would never have imagined himself not fumbling around Eren. When they first met all those years ago, the boy seemed unreachable; a pretty face, cute laugh, determination and self confidence making his eyes shine. Flower crowns ever present, clad in pastel head to toe, and with heavy metal blasting through his earphones. He was an enigma back then; mysterious and captivating and so out of Levi’s league.
Looking at him now, Levi thought he still was kind of an enigma; a walking contradiction, drawing attention and disbelieving looks everywhere he went. He didn’t even have to wear one of those fancy flower crowns he loved so much to turn heads – it was enough only standing there in his black, metal band shirt and mint green swim trunks with nail polish to match. His long hair, save for a few strands that were left framing his face, was pulled into a messy bun which was held together by a giant, frilly hair tie the same shade of green as his trunks and nails. Levi wondered if the choice of colour was deliberate, as he often told Eren green suited him. It brought out his eyes beautifully and Levi could never get enough of it.
Speaking of Eren’s eyes, Levi studied Eren’s expression for a moment and the wide grin he saw on his face as he stared out at the wide expanse of the ocean – or well, sea, technically – for the first time, his eyes sparkling with wonder and amazement, and Levi... Levi couldn’t say he regretted the unholy amounts of money he was spending on this trip. It was obvious how much Eren longed for this, longed to finally see the never ending body of salt water and a warm, happy feeling settled in the deepest parts of Levi’s chest at the sight of him. He was the one who made that look on his face possible after all, and that alone made him feel so damn lucky.
Levi had known since before he even started dating Eren how badly the boy wanted to make a trip like this. The young man had never gotten to see the ocean before, not even when he was a kid plastering cheesy, obviously photoshopped pictures of it all over the walls of his room. No matter how much they wished they could, it was just not possible for his parents to take him. It was not for a lack of funds, the Jaeger family was more than well off, however, his father, being one of the best surgeons in Germany, had always been far too busy and tired to go on a vacation as far as the Mediterranean. And so, all the Jaeger family vacations were spent at their vacation house by a lake not far from their city, but still far enough for them to be cut off from society and reach of telecommunications.
Despite everything, Eren did love it there. He did love spending time with his whole family – even though his half-brother pissed him off beyond belief sometimes – and he was always happy to go back there. But it still wasn’t enough for him. Every year, Eren complained how the lake wasn’t big enough, how it was surrounded by stones and conifers instead of sand and palm trees.
And that was why Levi was more than happy to pay for this trip, a dream vacation to celebrate their third anniversary together since he was finally being able to afford it. He had graduated successfully a year ago – thank fuck – and managed to find a decent paying work soon after. He had been saving up ever since and Levi could say it was definitely worth it just to see Eren’s reaction when he presented him with the plane tickets.
Returning back to the present, Levi smirked slightly, shoving Eren gently away and towards the water. “Go on, stop eyeing it like that. It’s not going to evaporate as soon as you fucking touch it.”
Eren yelped slightly at Levi’s not-so-gentle urging, blinking over his shoulder at his boyfriend in confusion, a cute pout forming on his lips. “You’re not coming?”
“In a bit,” Levi said, gesturing behind them, at the still-vacant spot on the beach they had managed to snag for themselves, to show he was going to set up their little camp first. “I’ll try to make sure the sand doesn’t get everywhere first,” he added with a slightly disgusted frown. Levi hated sand, the shitty thing had the uncanny ability to get exactly where you didn’t want it to get and the zip-lock bags Levi insisted on using for their things for this very reason weren’t nearly enough of a reassurance. Just the idea of having to shake sand out of his book annoyed him. He didn’t even want to think about what would happen if it got into his clothes.
Eren nodded in understanding then, before he quickly pulled of his shirt and threw it carelessly aside, leaning in to give Levi a small kiss. Then he was gone, off towards the water, and Levi could only watch as he jumped in, laughing at the way the waves splashed and sprayed him. He looked so damn happy and a sort of calm and content feeling settled in Levi’s stomach, warming him from the inside. Eren’s joy was so pure, so innocent, so contagious that Levi couldn’t help but feel giddy as well.
He could only shake his head with amusement when Eren took a sip of the water, only to spit it back out a split second later with the most disgusted expression that he was probably capable of. Then Levi turned away from the sight of his boyfriend playing like a kid so he could finally focus on his task of arranging their little spot. It took him a few minutes, the sand working hard against his need to have the towels perfectly aligned. Satisfied at last, Levi took a step back, causing the sand – and the towels right along with it – to move again, making him give up with a frustrated sigh. Shooting one last glare at their towels, he reminded himself that Eren was going to just flop on his towel and mess up all his efforts anyway, before he threw the rest of their things on top of his own towel without any more fucks to give.
With finality, he turned back around to face the water and join Eren, who was apparently having the time of his life in the water. He wasn’t even swimming, just jumping around with the waves, giggling like a little kid when the salt water splashed his face. It was obvious to anyone who saw him how delighted he was. How much joy he found in letting the water wash over him and ruin his hair style, as sloppy as his bun may have been to begin with.
Levi was immensely glad in that moment that he had succeeded in talking Eren out of keeping his beloved flower crown on before going to the beach. Even if he had somehow managed to have it stay on his head, there was no way it would survive this abuse.
Speaking of which, Levi kind of doubted even his ridiculous hair tie would survive.
A fond chuckle escaped Levi as he walked across the sand, navigating between the many towels spread out everywhere. He had to admit he hated it; hated the amount of people vacationing out there, hated the sand, and he was pretty sure he would hate the sea as well once he was actually touching it. But looking at Eren, seeing how delighted he was... he didn’t even care how the sand would get inside his swim trunks or how many people there were, watching them, or how dirty the water was. Eren was happy, beyond happy, and that was all that that really mattered to him in the end.
Or that was what Levi thought at least, until his feet came into contact with the water. It was cold as shit and Levi cursed Eren’s naturally high body temperature for not caring and giving him a warning. Watching the brat, it was as if the water was a comfortable, almost-boiling temperature, which was just how Levi liked it. It definitely didn’t seem like it was in fact fucking freezing. Levi shuddered and retreated, opting to stay on the hot sand, under the scorching heat of the sun.
“Are you planning on just standing there?” came a familiar voice a second later, Levi’s sudden backtracking probably catching Eren’s eyes.
Looking at Eren paddling in the water a little bit away and staring at him with the biggest puppy eyes, Levi couldn’t help but sigh. “Give me a moment, I’m coming.”
Levi snickered to himself at the pout Eren gave him, obviously dissatisfied with Levi’s slowness at adjusting to the water temperature. But then he took a step closer, letting the incoming waves wash over his feet, and an involuntarily shudder ran up his spine.
Now it was Eren’s turn to snicker and Levi tried to shoot his boyfriend a glare, only to see he was now way closer than he was a moment ago. The brat was kneeling in the shallows now, probably to get a better view of the show that was Levi’s progress – or lack there off. Levi wanted to tell him to go eat shit but even he knew he was being ridiculous, the water wasn’t that cold by normal standards, however, it was not like he could help it. Unless you were able to cook an egg in it, it just wasn’t warm enough for Levi. Eying the water that now reached as high as his knees, and that was sending shivers all the way through his body, he wished he could just jump in like Eren did. But the water was just so cold-
A shout escaped Levi’s lips, shock overcoming him as something cold and wet covered him from the waist down.
At the same moment, Eren burst into laughter and Levi could do nothing but glare down at his so-called boyfriend, who obviously thought it was a brilliant idea to splash Levi while he was struggling to even make a single step forward. “What the actual fuck, Eren,” Levi growled lowly but Eren only continued to chortle. Seriously, Eren could be so ridiculous sometimes and despite his better judgement, Levi had to fight down his own laughter to keep up his appearances.
“You need to simply jump in, it’s easier if you don’t stop to think about it,” Eren managed to get out in between gasps for air. “So I thought I’d help you with that.” He blinked up at Levi prettily from his still kneeling position as he offered him a brilliant smile, one that he knew would always make Levi feel weak. Only he was completely ruining it with the bursts of laughter he couldn’t contain. Not to mention Eren’s messy bun was completely falling apart by that point, a few strands falling out of it here and there, and his frilly hair tie barely holding on. It was still stuck in his hair for the time being, but to Levi it seemed it’s only purpose now was to make Eren’s long hair stick out every which way, creating an absolutely ridiculous halo around his head.
With the effect of his smile completely ruined, Levi narrowed his eyes dangerously at Eren’s continued giggling. Taking advantage of him not paying attention, Levi leaned down to scoop up a handful of water in retaliation.
Eren shrieked loudly, jumping up and away from the water Levi threw at his face. However, kneeling in the sand as he was until then, he easily lost balance and fell backwards, promptly submerging into the sea, hands flailing around in a fruitless search of something to hold onto, but merely smacking at the waves with loud splashing. Levi didn’t have it in him to feel sorry for his actions. Not when Eren emerged back up a few seconds later, standing up fully just a bit away from Levi, spitting water and rubbing at his face to get the water out of his eyes without much result, a disgruntled, twisted expression adorning his face. And not even when a wave larger than the ones before came just as Eren was getting his bearings back, throwing him off balance again, and nearly sending him back underwater, face first this time.
Obviously, Eren didn’t appreciate Levi’s amusement. He lunged forward to grab his hand, successfully taking Levi off guard and pulling him towards himself. Before Levi could brace himself, he was falling into the water right next to the vindictive brat. At that point, the only thing he could do was to tightly close his eyes and mouth, holding his breath and await his untimely death in the cold, unforgiving arms of the Mediterranean sea.
Above the water, his view obscured by the foam created by Levi’s fall and sand that rose up after, Eren frowned when Levi still didn’t come up moments later, the brunet getting slightly worried. But then another shriek escaped him as something latched onto his middle, forcing him to fall backwards once more. In his surprise, he expected to gulp down some of the disgustingly salty water, but before that could happen, something else firmly pressed down on his mouth. Smiling wide into the kiss, his arms automatically going around Levi’s neck, pulling him closer.
The two of them emerged gasping for breath only seconds later, Eren’s hands clutching at Levi’s shoulders while Levi’s were wrapped tightly around Eren’s waist.
As soon as they were breathing normally again, they both burst out laughing. It was ridiculous. They were ridiculous and Levi loved every second of it. At some point, Eren slowly moved closer, resting his forehead against Levi’s gently, the two of them staring into each other’s eyes intently and both smiling like the love-sick idiots they were.
“Thank you,” Eren mumbled after a while, his voice barely audible against the sounds of the sea and the other people talking and laughing all around them. He didn’t have to say anything more, didn’t have to explain for Levi to understand.
The other man only huffed out a small chuckle, smiling softly up at his lover. “You’re welcome, brat.”
Eren smiled back at the pet name, his expression melting into something so grateful, so loving, and Levi couldn’t resist any longer. He leaned in, making their lips connect once again just as the next wave crashed over them. Not that either of them noticed, sharing a kiss that was chaste and slow, and yet somehow so much more meaningful than the most passionate ones they have shared.
At that moment, as they both shivered from being drenched in cold, salty water, Eren’s hair sticking to both their faces and as his frilly, pastel green hair tie was already irrevocably lost, somewhere on it’s way to become one with the sea garbage... neither of them could be happier.

Summary:  Levi discovers Eren training with the maneuver gear and they take a romantic dash through the woods together. Canonverse.
Pairing: Eren x Levi
Word count: 2k
Rating: T
(Written for Ereri Fluff Weekend 2018 - Prompt: Playful)
First, I’d like to thank @erensjaegerbombs for being my beta! <3 (And my first one ahhhh) I had so much fun reading your suggestions and other sweet comments (and the fixes too XD). You’re amazing! ^_^
Read on ao3 or keep reading!
“They use these hook thingies and some kind of weird-looking pack on their backs to carry themselves through the air—oh, and sometimes they bring these super sick swords with them too!” Quips a snot-nosed delinquent waving his hand in slashing motions; the rowdy tag of children listening in on the story letting out either scoffs or gasps within Levi’s earshot.
It was then, hiding in the gutters with a torn chunk of bread in his teeth at ten, that Levi first learned of the maneuver gear. At first, the notion sounded ridiculous to him. How could humans fly? Even if they could, it was only a matter of time before they reached the enormous clump of rock trapping their polluted city inside, a barrier between them and the untouchable sky he’d dream about when settling onto his thin cot.
Naturally, he was amazed when he’d taken in the hypnotic sight himself. The grace and reckless precision of the flying bodies, the bodies that he so desperately wanted to throw his knife into for the fluctuating economy of their piss-poor excuse of a community.
In-between his solo heists, he would glance up out of habit, watching as those MP bastards shot up to the surface with bags of coins and other stuff they didn’t deserve jiggling at their sides. The envy, resentment, and a flicker of…awe swirling inside of him.
Perhaps…if he could have that apparatus for himself, he wouldn’t have to worry about hands and feet clutching and tripping him over as he sprinted for the nearest hole to crawl in after a one-on-one brawl. He’d heard of residents’ several attempts at trying to cinch in the gear for themselves, none of which have succeeded.
It was at a time like this that Levi prided himself on his speed.
And so, at the age of twelve, Levi took the liberty of stealing the gear for himself. It cost him a bloodied cut lip and scraped knees, but what mattered was that he’d chopped the fucker down hard enough to remove himself from his memory.
He’d treated his prize as a wonder and a curse. It took him a day bunched with grunted swears to figure out how to wear the thing, and two weeks to fully familiarize himself with the mechanics, earning him sprained joints, bruised muscles…even a vomiting episode from all the falling and backlash his body suffered.
Soon, he was a street rat who’d stolen wings that didn’t belong to him. His stock-ups were faster; his escapes less desperate; he had more control over the offensive lurkers down below, screaming at how unfair everything was.
For the first time, Levi felt like a true rebel. He’d ascended the deepest pits of hell; if he could, he would fly through the toxic air until he died of exhaustion and lack of oxygen, anything to keep him from landing again on this shitpile of an environment.
But that was all before he met Farlan and Isabel.
“It’s more of an excuse for a dare,” Farlan would drawl. With the gear, they accomplished things they never thought were possible, making names for themselves and living in whatever better conditions there were to have.
“We’re just like birds!” Isabel would exclaim. They flew past buildings without giving a care in the world, gravity doing it’s magic and drowning out the misery down below.
It was when Levi first sensed it. Freedom. It was small, but it simmered beneath him, akin to the slivers of light that would dance on his skin when he came to the spot on the high-rise where the sun could bathe him in warmth.
He wondered what it would be like in the outside world. Perhaps it would be heavenly.
How wrong he’d been.
Instead it was a different kind of hell. Instead of using his newfound wings to fly above the cruelty of the underground, he now had to take even sharper and faster twists and turns, all to keep himself from facing the maw of a Titan. Deep down, the panic was buried in his heart. He couldn’t fly much further. He was but a chained bird whose only goal was to survive and watch as the unlucky ones failed to do just that.
Maybe freedom was just a myth.
“I’m heading out,” Levi says post-meeting, twirling his cloak onto broad shoulders. He walks along headquarters with purpose but he doesn’t have a destination in mind. All he knows is that the comforting view of a forest will do. He chances upon castles of strong oak, their enormous trunks cast in the ethereal glow from the gentle sunset, more majestic than the citadels encrusted with fake junk in Wall Sina. Levi places a palm on the rough bark of the tree nearest him, finding ease in its stability. Clicking the handles into place, he prepares to propel himself forward—
Whoosh.
There’s a hiss of gas and the clink of a grappling hook digging into hard wood, and the unexpected sight that rushes past stops Levi in his ministrations.
Levi stares, still and entranced, as Eren Jaeger swoops down to circle swiftly around two to three trunks, his taut body wrought with tension but smoothed over with an elegance Levi had never seen him possess. The boy allows himself to hover precariously among the branches before dropping down at an alarming pace, saving himself from being splattered on the forest floor by using his hooks at the last minute to sharply send his body in another direction, only to change course and perform a triple flip while in mid-air, speedy and wild.
Whoosh.
There are no techniques applied; no choreographed sequences instilled in his movements; no rushed escape. There’s only pure instinct and the danger of flight. Eren’s relaxed but determined face as he twirls around amidst the blanket of leaves and branches like a mythical forest deity says it all.
Eren didn’t steal his own wings. He deserved them. They sprouted from his lean, strong shoulders, perfectly crafted on his body. His hair and eyes catch gold from the sunset, cloak flapping behind him. Levi would have mistaken him for an angel, one that fell and rose, forming an aimless and yet sacred dance of his own.
If the trunk hadn’t been by his side, Levi would have fallen to his knees. He leans against it, arms crossed; he’s the secret audience of a breath-taking display, one that will hopefully be only for him to enjoy.
It’s when Eren finally plops down onto the soft ground, hunching over and catching his breath, that Levi breaks himself from his trance and speaks aloud. “I hope to Maria you’ve registered permission for your increase in gas supply.”
Eren turns his neck so sharply that Levi is amazed he hasn’t heard a crack. “Captain Levi!” He salutes, losing the sluggish air about him and moves into the proper posture. “Have you been here this whole time?”
Levi pushes himself off the trunk, stepping into the shade. “Long enough to see you flailing around like a wild goose.”
Eren looks down. “Ah, it was supposed to be training but then…” He directs his gaze upward, smiling fondly at the intersecting canopy of dark green and brown. “I found that it’s good for relieving stress. Nothing routine.”
“I see,” Levi says, scrutinising Eren from head to toe. He hasn’t got a jacket on so Levi can clearly see the bunched muscle glistened by the sweat on his forearms. Normally he would've been grossed out by such a sight. But with Eren, some things—or all things—eemed to be an exception.
“Would you, um…” Eren says as he starts fidgeting. “…like to join me? Levi’s face remains blank. “I-I mean to fly and stuff...” Levi does a once-over on Eren’s condition. He’s still slightly out of breath.
“No, I obviously came all this way to take a piss.”
Eren clamps his mouth shut; he’s trying not to laugh.
Levi sighs.“Besides, it looks like you need a break.”
“It’s fine!” Eren breathes deeply and squares his shoulders, stretching each limb to enunciate his point. “After all, I—” he stops, and Levi tilts his head curiously at the tint of pink on the boy’s cheeks. He gulps and continues. “I’ve always wanted to see you fly up close. I can also learn more just from watching how you do it.” Eren is unconsciously gesturing with his hands as he says these things, “How you’re being carried by the wind itself.”
He always admired Eren’s diligence.
“Tch, you really are my biggest fan,” Levi rolls his eyes but walks closer, a hand on his hip. “Sure you can keep up, kid?” he says, pride surging up a little at seeing Eren’s awestruck expression. It’s weird how he doesn’t find as much annoyance in it as he does with his other, countless admirers.
“Is that a challenge, Captain?” The kid is trying to sound respectful but the slight competitive drawl gives it away.
“You’re the one who fucking invited me, didn’t you?” Levi surveys the forest, calculating the physics in his mind. “Unless this is some kind of date?”
“No, sir!” Eren replies too abruptly, shifting to nervous laughter within seconds. “Well, when you put it like that…” He finally registers that they’re the only two hanging out in the small clearing and any sapless, romantic passing by would infer as such.
Levi walks past Eren, but not before placing a few pats on his back. “Relax, I was joking. Toilet humor isn’t my only forte.”
Eren chuckles, turning and rubbing at his arm. “Then I’m up for it.”
Whether it’s the challenge or the date, Levi doesn’t know. Either way, he can’t help shuddering at Eren’s set jaw and his body refining itself into position with raw prowess. He will either impress him or fail at it, and Levi knows it will be the former.
Levi doesn’t give Eren further warning and shoots through the air, quick as a bullet. The wind howling in his ears doesn’t erase the resounding hiss that follows and Levi surmises that Eren is attempting to read his movements while trying to match his speed.
Whoosh.
He fucks with the brat’s focus a little, giving him false leads by curving unexpectedly around and in between narrower trees; dipping down suddenly when making it look like he’d try to swerve skyward; leaping over the branches with his two feet only to stop on one and fall backwards, catching Eren off guard and almost face-planting against a tree.
“Too slow!” Levi shouts.
“Watch me!” Eren shouts back, though his eyes have a happier glint to them now. Levi wishes he could see more of that.
Whoosh.
No matter how difficult he’s being, Eren doesn’t give up trying to go neck-to-neck with him. At the same time, he’s losing himself to the sensations, spreading his arms and closing his eyes as he whirls and whirls and whirls, to the point where he’s soon spinning in circles around Levi by the time the sun is just barely peeking out on the mountaintop.
Levi doesn’t even realize he’s doing the same thing until he’s somewhat face to face with Eren; together, they glide in circular motions in an almost synchronized fashion, with only the trees and wind-whipped leaves temporarily blocking their view of the other. The orange light plays tricks on Levi’s eyes as it embraces Eren, and he’s witnessed something beautiful. It’s unlikely, but he wonders if he looks that way to Eren as well.
Whoosh.
They probably look ridiculous like this; wasting gas; circling and swirling around each other like they’re in some kind of weird, mating ritual. But it brings Levi excitement to know that he’s sharing the adrenaline rush of the gear with someone without having to be on the dirty streets or the suicidal battlefield beyond the walls, if only for a moment.
There’s no panicked urgency in their movements. There’s something else brought on by this weightlessness that accumulated in this spontaneous and strangely intimate dance of theirs. Exhilaration. Fun.
Freedom.
It gets dark. Levi signals for Eren’s attention and puts a stop to their impromptu training by swinging towards him, grabbing him and using the momentum to land them both on a big, sturdy branch. They’re close, sweating profusely, and their breaths are ragged. Levi supports Eren with one arm and the younger composes himself by placing a hand on his captain’s chest. Levi curses whatever gods are lurking up in the clouds that it’s where his rapidly beating heart is, even if Eren can correctly assume that it’s from their long, flying session.
“Satisfied?” Levi huffs out, still not letting go of Eren. He’s gonna need a lot of beauty rest after this.
“Better than I expected,” Eren whispers, looking up from his long lashes. He’s gorgeous even when his hair is all wet and fussed up. The heat from Levi’s body spikes up, internalising their physical contact. “You’re amazing, Captain.”
Their faces are inches apart; If he wanted, Levi can close the gap, claim those parted lips, and melt together with him right there, but he doesn’t want to risk them falling to their deaths from the exhausted state they’re in. Speaking of, Eren is in much need of rest. And he’s always been shit at receiving compliments anyway so he forces out a small ‘thank you,’ turning his head away lest Eren see the furious blush on his cheeks.
“Let’s go back.”
“Yeah,” They let go of each other, and with that Eren’s warmth is gone, but Levi is willing to give him space.
“Thank you. I had a lot of fun tonight, since I wasn’t alone.” Eren beams at him after they’ve drunk from their canteens, now walking the path leading to their current base. Levi simply nods, heart racing for a reason other than the aftermath of their flight.
Me too.

Slowly, Sweetly
I am never late with anything irl, but somehow I always manage to be late with my entries for fandom events ;’D
So this is my entry for the Ereri Fluff Weekend Day 2 “Slow” hosted by @ererievents  And at the same time it’s a gift for a very precious IG friend of mine bc they love soft Ereri ^^
Rating: T
Word count: 1k
“No, I can’t.”
“Come on, Levi.”
“No.”
Eren crooked his head to the side, hands on his hips. Levi looked undisputably adorable when he was stubborn and stiff with his attitude, arms crossed and a light sway of his hips to the left applied, but Eren was eager to do what he’d planned to do with Levi right now, so not even the deepest frown nor the most abrasive words could alter that.
Eren beckoned Levi to come closer. “Let’s do it.”
“Eren, I can’t dance. You don’t want to see me dance, trust me.”
“That’s why I said that I would show you how to do it.” Eren fanned both of his arms open to a welcoming embrace. It was tempting. Almost enticing even. Levi was faltering.
“Even if you show it to me, I’ll be so bad at it. I’ll accidentally step on your feet. So many times, you won’t find it funny anymore.”
That made Eren giggle heartily. “It’ll be fine. You’ll do all right. I’ll lead you.” Arms remaining in that prompting position, Eren’s mouth twisted up to a beam of exhilaration.
Levi’s bottom lip twitched with words he couldn’t decide on which to choose. How to make it clear to Eren that he didn’t want to dance. “You’ll lead me? And make sure that I won’t numb your toes with my trampling and clumsy dance moves?” These weren’t the words that Levi had originally wanted to utter. Now it was too late to take them back because the joy flourishing on Eren’s face – wearing a side of beauty that Levi found as rare and precious as Japanese cherry blossom trees in their few days of bloom – made it impossible for him to say something that would rob Eren off his source of happiness. Levi couldn’t do that.
“You’ll become the world’s best dancer after today.” Eren said, and blinked.
Levi snorted, rolled his eyes, but was actually positively tempered after Eren’s ridiculous utterance. It had abated a good portion of Levi’s anxious reluctance in a way; as if Eren’s mere, soothing, vibrant voice had gathered part of his hesitance up, balled it, and coaxed it out of him.
While Levi was kind of grateful for that, there would always remain a little voice that whispered to him not to become a nuisance to Eren with his clumsiness when dancing. He couldn’t shake that last feeling off in the end.
“Levi,” The solid but reassuring tone Eren used cradled Levi into a cloud of safety—where he wouldn’t get laughed at for being so bad at something that was welcomed and appreciated in society, “whatever you’re thinking about right now, drop that. I’m here. I’ll guide you. We’ll do it step by step, okay? Slowly.”
Biting his lips, Levi unleashed his arms, and he padded towards Eren with tiny steps. Once Levi came to face Eren’s chest, he halted, unsure. “My arms, uh, where…?” Levi internally facepalmed at how someone as self-reliant as him could become such a flustered and stuttering mess.
“Like this.” Eren’s hands and arms moved like feathers, silky and light, attaching Levi’s wary fingers on the right places; one on Eren’s shoulder, the other caressing the inner of Eren’s nimble hand. Levi was already a head shorter than him, but his unusual timid stance – head lowered, lips bitten, face hidden behind a curtain of mellow raven hair – induced a sense of longing crispness within Eren.
He yearned for a haven where he and Levi would be wrapped tightly together by a flannel of love--safe and sound.
That dream thinking, however, could be compensated by “only” a shared dance with his love of life Levi just as well, so Eren thought.
“Why do you want to dance with me in the first place?” Levi asked with a tad of crustiness.
Eren was inclined to chuckle at seeing Levi pout grumpily as he seemed to hide his disconcertment. “Because it’s one of the things on my to-do list that I want to do so badly with my partner.”
“So you’re just using me.” Levi tried, brazen, teasing Eren a little bit.
“No, I’m loving you.” Eren answered adroitly, voice suave. Well handled by him, Levi couldn’t deny that.
A tender patch of pinkness blotted Levi’s cheeks, making him look precious with that rosy colour on his impeccable face. No shame or anxiety could ever conceal Levi’s peculiar beauty.
“Is it okay for you, if I start with the first few steps now?” Eren questioned caringly.
Levi nooded, his hand taking Eren’s one a bit firmer. He licked his lips that were as dry as his normally collected composure.
And then Eren produced the first steps. Charmingly did he take his thoughtful moves, always observing Levi who followed his movements as if they’d always belonged together. Levi’s rigidness was a hindrance to himself at first, but the farther they got – the farther Eren led Levi into that spiral of sinuous bliss –, the more did Levi slacken.
He thanked the Heavens for actually not stomping Eren’s feet to the thickness of a sheet of paper, and he gradually found contentment in moving in sync with Eren, embracing the liberty of letting go.
“Not bad, Eren. I’m not hating that I am part of this dance.” Levi admitted as his head rested at the junction of Eren’s collarbones and his throat. The muteness coating them, Levi made out the dull beating of Eren’s heart. The thumps gave away an unadulterated affection that Eren would never hesitate to lay to Levi’s feet any time. After all, he was doing exactly that right at that very moment.
“Hmhm.” Eren mumbled, nose burrowed in Levi’s hair that smelled of green apples. Eren remembered that he had needed a lot of convincing to get Levi to use that shampoo for him.
“You never cease to amaze me, Jaeger boy. Would have never thought something like this could turn out to be okay for me. Love you and your adventurous ideas.”
Eren smiled into Levi’s hair, the one hand round Levi’s lower back tightening.
“I’ll never stop pleasing you, my love.”

prompt: playful
content: magic, shapeshifter levi, cat levi, trans levi, witch eren, nonbinary eren
--------------------------------------------------------------------
When Eren went to the cat shelter to adopt themself a familiar, they most certainly didn't expect to bring home a shapeshifter.
They had moved out of their family home last year and settled down into their current apartment. With a stable income from their online charm selling and job at the local garden centre, Eren had decided it was finally time to find a companion to occupy the space with them.
After asking around, a friend had vouched for a shelter just outside the city, where a close friend of theirs worked. It sounded good enough to Eren.
All the cats at the shelter ran free, coming to rub at Eren's legs, vocal and eager to be given a home. But the shyest of the lot caught Eren's eye, towards the back of the room was a black cat. It sat by itself, not bothering to greet Eren. But Eren could feel its smokey eyes, watchful and intent on following the witch's each move as they made their way around the room.

@ererievents For Ereri Fluff Weekend - Day 1 - Playful
I hope I did it some justice, this is the first time I’ve participated in an event and I’m pretty stoked to try my hand at these cute prompts. :) Enjoy!
--------------------------------------------------
Eren wanted to bash his own head in.
The smell of bleach burned his nose as he rolled his eyes with a heavy sigh. He was enduring yet another one of Levi's 'cleaning days' which meant the two of them were going to be stuck inside the apartment for hours until Levi found the environment suitable enough for company. Eren gazed mournfully outside the large bay window, seeing the sun pouring through on this gorgeous, sunny day. His closest friends, Mikasa and Armin, were visiting from out of state the upcoming weekend. The instant he brought it up to Levi, he felt regret.
"It isn't my fault you're incapable of cleaning properly," Levi snarked, though not maliciously. He wore a pair of blue latex gloves, using the most expensive bleach his could purchase as he ducked beneath the cabinets in the kitchen. "Fuck, it's filthy down here."
"I sincerely doubt my friends are going to raid our cabinets," Eren quipped, handing Levi the rag he was holding in his hand as the raven reached out expectantly. Levi took it quickly, cleaning the edges of the plastic and wood. Eren watched with dull fascination, his ocean eyes traveling through the rest of the apartment. The two of them had been living there for a little over two and a half years. Eren had met Levi nearly four years ago when he was just a freshman in college, the man entering his life unexpectantly and with no time to prepare his heart. Levi was a professor visiting from a different campus with his associate, Erwin. He could remember the day clearly when his eyes met stunning steel ones from across the campus courtyard. Eren would never forget the jolt that shot straight through him like a bolt of lightning; igniting his heart and need to get closer to the enigma.
They were technically not crossing any lines with their relationship, although, Levi was reluctant and unapproachable in the beginning. But Eren was tenacious and hell-bent on getting what he wanted, especially when he knew Levi was just as struck as he was. Levi would conveniently continue to show up on campus and Eren would conveniently find ways to bump into the man. In the end, and with much persistence on Eren's end, they decided to try dating.
Eren knew he had always come off somewhat strong, so he wasn't surprised at Levi's resistance. But the raven couldn't deny that Eren's determination and desire to be around someone like himself was one of the many things that made him fall in love to begin with. It was like the brat found a way to crawl under his skin without even trying. After a year of staying on a steady course in their relationship, they had moved in together. Most of their loved ones were happy; Eren's parents openly accepting just as Levi's own mother was. They were both very fortunate to have such loving family while their friends were too busy rolling their eyes with their 'I told you so's'. Although it was certainly frowned upon for a college student to date a professor, they weren't breaking rules and Eren would be graduating at the end of the year anyhow. So they preserved and continued building a steady foundation.
But that did not mean Eren enjoyed this one bit.
He had grown used to Levi's need for cleanliness, really he had. But once they had moved in together, Levi issued once a week a day for cleaning and cleaning alone. Eren would groan each time that dreaded Thursday would come and want to hide.
But still, he loved Levi. More than his heart could probably take.
Zoned out in his thoughts, Eren missed when words were directed at him. "Huh? What'd you say?"
Levi's brows snapped together as he glared. "Are you paying attention at all right now?"
"Oh... ah, sorry. This just... God, Levi, is this really necessary? This place is already spotless!" he whined.
The older man rolled his eyes, using his forearm to wipe the small bit of sweat from his forehead. "It needs to get done. It's not the point if your friends are going to snoop around the place; it's the point of making it presentable. You're an adult, you should know that."
"But it's boring," Eren said, as though a plausible excuse to be lazy. Levi sometimes wondered if Eren was really twenty-three. "And we can always replace that piece if it's really that bad."
"Why replace it when we can just clean it?"
Son of a bitch, Eren grossed to himself.
"If," Levi emphasized the first word from his mouth, "you're done complaining, hand me the spray bottle to your left, would you? After that, we'll tackle the bathrooms. God only knows how bad they are since you've had the break."
Eren grumbled to himself, reaching for the bottle of warm water Levi used to remove grime before polishing it off with an industrial cleaner. As he went to hand the bottle over into Levi's waiting hand, an inappropriate thought struck him. He grinned to himself, raising the spray bottle up while pressing on the handle to the side.
Splish.
Levi blinked, stunned when he noticed a few droplets of water falling from his hair. He turned to Eren, confusion crossing his features. "What the fuck―"
Splish, splish!
Levi was rising from where he was crouched, looking at Eren incredulously. "The hell do you think you're doing?"
Eren sprayed Levi again, this time by his neck. Eren let out a delighted giggle, unsure of what the hell had possessed him to initiate this. Levi removed one of his gloves, tossing it while using his now free hand to wipe the warm water from his neck. "Eren..." he warned, a glint sparking to life in his eyes.
Eren kept up his assault, laughing while Levi attempted to duck out of the way. The raven's tank top began to cling to his skin from the water, adding to his growing impatience. "Keep it up, and you're going to regret it."
When Eren didn't seem to get the message, Levi moved. He grabbed the bottle of Windex sitting on the counter, aiming it straight at the brunette and pressing the handle. The liquid flew across the room and hit Eren's cheek, causing the younger man to sputter. "Ugh, gross! At least this is just water, you know!"
"You should learn to pick your battles," Levi conceded, but Eren could see a small, playful smirk tugging at his lips. Eren observed as Levi removed the other latex glove, shaking his hand out a bit before moving to spray the bottle again. Oh, you're on!
Levi advanced on Eren, causing the brunette to jump over the edge of the couch and hide behind it. He jumped up and successfully landed another wet blow right at Levi's face. It made him grin triumphantly, ducking down before Levi could get another hit on him. He heard Levi moving from across the room but couldn't see where from his position behind the couch. Several seconds ticked by in silence, the tension in the room rising. Beginning to feel impatient, Eren jumped up and took the spray bottle with two hands―
Smack.
Eren coughed, grabbing the wet object that had just been flung at his face. "Did you... did you just throw a rag at me?"
"Says the man who's mounting a target on his spray bottle like it's a damn sniper," Levi replied back, a slight lilt in his deep tone. He was already reaching for another wet rag on the counter, his lips breaking into an amused smirk.
"I'll get the bleach bottle, I swear to God, Lev―"
Eren was able to dodge the rag this time, thankful not to get another mouthful of whatever the hell was on it. As he went to pick up the object from the floor, Levi had crossed the room so quickly, Eren didn't have any time to react. Levi jumped over the couch, dislodging the bottle from Eren's hands while wrapping a strong arm around his waist. Eren let out a yelp of surprise when the two of them tumbled to the floor. Levi sat up with lightning speed, pinning Eren down while taking his aim.
"Okay!" Eren pushed his hands against Levi's chest, breathing heavily while continuing, "I give up! I'll stop!"
Levi was panting too, his cheeks a bit warm. His hair was in disarray from the water and his clothes were damp. "This should be an easy lesson learned; don't start what you can't finish, brat."
Although Levi's tone was deep, his expression was soft. Eren chuckled lightly, letting his hands fall to his sides on the floor. His eyes peered up at Levi, taking in his strong and messy features. It was incredible that after so many years, his heart could race just from the sight of him. Levi placed the bottle on the floor next to them, making no move to leave the warmth of Eren's body. Levi's head tilted down and Eren's rose to meet him, their lips slotting together chastely.
Laying there on the floor together, damp and smelling of cleaning products while gently brushing their hands over each other's skin was definitely better than cleaning kitchen cabinets; so Eren savored it. His hand rose to card through Levi's soft, ink hair; marveling at the way it fell between his fingers. Levi hummed, a thumb stroking Eren's cheek fondly.
Levi pulled back, his intense gaze pinning Eren still. He took in the way Eren's eyes shown, the soft and silly smile that suited him so well. I adore this man, he thought to himself. This childish, impulsive, but so damn loving and honest man.
So Levi couldn't help himself when he grabbed the bottle Eren had originally used earlier, surprising the young man as he sat up and sprayed him one last time. Eren shot up quickly, wiping his face and knocking Levi off of him. "What the hell!"
"You smelled like Windex, so I figured that'd help."
"Who's fault is that?!" Eren exclaimed.
Levi stood up, shrugging his shoulders. "Yours, technically."
Eren huffed, his lips forming an adorable pout that made Levi want to dive in and kiss those lips again. Instead, he leaned down and offered Eren his hand, who eyed it wearily. "Come on, let's get changed. If we hurry, we can make it to the hardware store and pick up a new piece for those shitty cabinets."
The brunette beamed, his aquamarine eyes shining as he took Levi's hand. "So... does that mean we're done for the day?" he asked hopefully, allowing Levi to bring him to his feet.
"Not on your life."
Eren let out a string of drawn out groans, dropping his hands away from Levi's. He was surprised, however, when Levi wrapped his arms around his waist. "I'll tell you what though; if you quit you're whining and help me tackle the guest bathroom, we'll call it a day. I'll push grading papers until the morning and we can order food in and make a night out of it. How's that sound?"
Eren's arms snaked their way around Levi's middle, closing his eyes and hiding a small smile. Although it was a beautiful day out, he would choose to shut out the rest of the world, huddling close on the couch with Levi any day. "That sounds perfect," he murmured into his hair, standing a few more moments in the strong hold of Levi's embrace.

honey sweet
word count: 1k+
prompt: close
rating: sfw
content: its another tea shop au, eren is desperate for levi's company lol, first kiss
---------------------------------------------------------------
Levi looks up from where he cleans the counter as the bell over the door rings and a customer barrels into his teashop. Thirty minutes before closing time, on the dot. As always.
Eren gasps in the doorway. His face is red and just looking at him makes Levi warm under the collar. Every time it's the same, the brunet shows up at around 6:30pm, short of breath, as if he had just run a marathon. It's been going on for close to three months now, on a Tuesday, a Wednesday, and a Thursday. Regular as clockwork.
Strange, considering how nothing about Eren seems to be regular or straightforward. He whirls in each day like a tornado, erratic and wild in nature. His order is never the same, always something new from the menu - Always sweet, though.
He walks over Levi's counter, a lopsided grin plastered on his face, his crooked teeth bared. Levi can't help the slight quirk of his lips as his regular swans in.
His green eyes crinkle at the corners as Levi tuts, watching on as Eren drips rainwater all over the wooden flooring.

Falling in love with Eren was slow.
Levi meets him in the first week of Summer and it's a whirlwind. Eren is as bright and blinding as the sun itself. He never stops and Levi gets caught up in it.
He laughs like there's nothing holding him back, bathed in the sun’s gold. Rapidly becoming intoxicated with Eren's voice, his smell, his crooked grin. Levi is absorbed by everything Eren. It's so fast.
But it's when Autumn comes that Levi slows down… The lack of sunshine and short days bring with them that inevitable darkness creeping into Levi's mind.
