some headcanons to go with this post that jackie / @chaoticor made some time ago:

001. porlyusica was not immediately thrilled that apparently, there was a child---and natsu was a child, a powerful one, certainly, but still a child---living unsupervised in the forest. she worried, especially when she realised that makarov had no idea where natsu was staying. she liked to stay out of how the guild was being run, but---she was always the responsible sort. and natsu was energetic and sometimes loud, but he was also a child without a single bad bone in his body. looking after him a bit, making sure he received medical attention and attention in general---it was not hard.

002. while plenty of adults did not believe natsu's stories of igneel, sica believed him as soon as natsu brought it up. compared to her own backstory that involved having fallen through between a gap between the planes, natsu's story of how he was raised by a dragon did not sound all that strange to her, especially since once she took this into account, a lot of his behaviour and his way of phrasing things made sense. sure, it could have been an elaborate game of play pretend, but with his magic in the mix, it made a lot of sense to her.

003. especially when she learnt of natsu's frustration with erza's attempts to teach him how to read; it was then that she realised that natsu could read draconic and an ancient language, but simply not modern fiorean. in her overall experience, treating natsu with respect and believing him when he spoke of his experiences with igneel made her interactions with him very pleasant.

sherry halted as she regarded the knight,  an expression of vague amusement settling on her face as she scrutinised the other woman.  she was not one of avia’s knights, not from what the princess remembered --- and she was usually quite good at remembering the members of her retinue, whether they wore armour or dresses.  ‘ ‘ have you ever danced? ’ ’ she asked, her focus now solely resting on the redhead and leaving the ballroom with all its happy noises be.  after all --- flyta was still perched atop one of the decorative silver trees, she was keeping an eye out for trouble,  not that anyone expected much thereof tonight.

as her mother’s heiress,  sherry was used to . . . reading a room and while she had sought to refrain from it during her stay in this castle  ( death clung to its walls, gently stroking the edges of her conscious ),  she still studied the knight carefully as she folded her hands behind her back.  stately, princesslike.  she knew the role she had to play, especially when she was away from home.

‘ ‘ in my experience,  dancing is only dangerous when you dance with the wrong people, ’ ’  she added as an afterthought as in the corner of her head that was reserved for flyta and the daemon’s essential commentary,  the falcon’s usual dry chuckle almost made her look away from the knight.  not now, flyta,  she scolded gently as she made a grand, wide gesture towards the dance floor.  ‘ ‘ anything is dangerous when you do it with the wrong people, ’ ’  she said sagely,  ‘ ‘ and i could point out the right people to you, if you wish. ’ ’

a random thought | we never got to see gray influence his younger self in the memory days ova, he was the only one, save for happy who was not born yet.

an unpopular opinion | for all the guild preaches about caring for its own and worrying about reputation, i've never felt it. they feel more like coworkers than a tight-knit family.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): Rengoku. I think he was killed too early.

Favourite Friendship: Inosuke and Tanjiro.

Character I wish I could be: Inosuke cause he doesn’t care about anything at all lol.

When I started shipping them: I started shipping them when I watched FMA 2003 and i fell for them when I watched FMAB during the quarantine.

My thoughts: POWER COUPLE, YASSSS.

What makes me happy about them: the way they support and trust each other is beautiful. 

What makes me sad about them: I wish they would be a little bit more “official”.

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: unbelievable, but I hadn’t read a single one royai fanfic.

My unpopular opinion about this character: she is not a stalker (is this unpopular?)

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I want her to get more protagonism and fights. She’s badass and strong and I want to see her kicking some ass.

Favorite friendship for this character: Juvia and Gajeel.

My crossover ship: I only can imagine Juvia flirting with her Gray-sama, sorry, lol.

1. Favorite Character: hahaha crying Laxus Dreyar

2. Least Favorite Character: Ivan Dreyar, but! I love him as a villain and honestly we were robbed—could have had an amazing arc completely dedicated to him.

8. An Unpopular Opinion: I could do without the Alvarez Arc. idk if that’s unpopular, let me try again. People really out there shipping Hisui and Arcadios when he’s like 20 years older than her. Is that unpopular. Wait, let me try one more time. I don’t think Gray’s that impressive. There, I said it. Love the dude, but y’all.... just... it’s okay—breathe. 

9. My Canon OTP: There are canon ships in FT? Oh wait, I guess Gajevy! They’re cute! :D

10. Non-Canon OTP: Laxui. 

11. Most Badass Character: Laxus, Erza, and Jellal are all pretty high up there, Erza and Laxus a little higher than Jellal. 

12. Most Epic Villain: We were really robbed cuz Ivan could have been AMAZING. It’s weird because my favorite arcs the villains eventually became good...? So like... Tartaros—that was pretty good. Oof, everything kinda melds together in my memory. Hades was a good villain. That’s the arc Laxus came back, bless. 

13. Pairing I am not a fan of: Honestly I like a lot of pairings. I think though like any pairing where the age gap is #gross. See: Mest x Wendy, Arcadios x Hisui, Lyon x Chelia. 

14. Characters I Feel the Writer Screwed Up: Ivan. But only because I wanted a bigger arc. 

15. Favorite Friendship: Natsu and Lucy, Natsu and Gray, Gray and Natsu and Erza. All the kids who grew up in the guild together. 

16. Character I Most Identify With: Hmm... probably Lucy, because she has the dream of becoming a published author! She’s also a romantic Hahaha. But also Levy because of her love of books. 

17. Character I Wish I Could Be: Omg... um... which character would get me closest to Laxus... XD jkjkjk I’m not sure actually! I’d prefer to be myself in the FT world! 

Fruits Basket: I’m not going to be able to answer all of these because I have a feeling based on spoilers that I haven’t met all the characters, and we don’t know a lot about the characters yet! So I’ll just do the ones I know I can answer!

Favorite Character: Tohru! She’s soooo pure, and I really admire her and look up to her. I want to be more like her, kind to everyone and so sweet. She offers really good advice and she really helps people. 

Character I would want to be best friends with: Tohru again so she can teach me her ways. Also probably Shigure—he’s *narrows eyes*... something. But he makes me laugh. 

Random Thought: No like seriously, I love Shigure. Also, like, I remember when I first got into FB I was really excited but there are sOME FANS who have been fans since the first anime, or even before that, who are RUDE. I know I don’t have a lot of knowledge about the series yet because I haven’t read the manga. So please be patient, and be patient with all the other new fans too, please! 

OTPs: idk about canon/non-canon or anything really besides the spoilers I have which are ofc Kyoru is canon. but I’ll tell u what I ship. Kyoru ofc, cuties. how can u not? Recently seen that episode with Kureno and Arisa. Idk what that’s about but let me tell u... i can see it. Though... I remember her saying something about their age gap being pretty big. 

Favorite Friendship: Tohru with EVERYONE. Tohru is the sweetest and can successfully make friends with anyone and i love that. Tohru with Yuki, Tohru with Kisa, Tohru with Arisa and Hana, Tohru with EVERYONE. 

Character I Most Identify With: I really want to answer this question because I feel like I should have one. I want to say Tohru, but I can’t because I’m not like Tohru at all, but I aspire to be like her!

An unpopular opinion: Natsu and Lucy weren’t ready for a serious relationship yet at the end of the series, so I’m glad they didn’t explicitly get together romantically.
