Deshi should probably stop irritating people to the point of violence but it was an enjoyable hobby of his. He had been teasing Krista about how she looked waking up with bed head, making various references to horror films and supernatural creatures. Which is how he ended up grinning like a madman while he dodged the cushion from hitting him. “Oh come on, Krista. Don’t be ashamed. You wouldn’t have to be worried about getting attacked in your sleep because they would just end up running away.”

There were few things that would cause Deshi to become nearly feral with rage. Hunters were one of them. Maybe it was his spirit, with the ions of experience, that made him hate them so much. Though, it could be his own experiences that created that wariness.

He was out on the town trying to find a bar that would entertain him for the night when someone had come up behind him. Just by the way the woman fought, he could tell that she didn’t have much experience. Especially when he was stabbed with a knife that was laced with wolfsbane. Getting her into the alley, he easily knocked her out before carrying her off toward somewhere more secluded.

The Kitsune chained her up against the wall, sitting on the bottom steps of the abandoned basement they were currently in. It took longer than he expected for her to wake up, taking the last drag from his cigarette then flicking it to the floor so he could stub it out with his heel. “So how many times have you actually done this, blondie? You seriously need to work on your game.”

Deshi and Krista were still on rocky ground since her confession but things were getting easier. He had been walking around the preserve just to get away from things. If he was smoking a joint, no one was going to know. That was until he caught the scent of the young wolf while he walked, taking another short puff as he walked into the clearing on silent steps.

He hovered his body over hers as she seemed at peace, leaning down to press a kiss to her nose with a grin. When she tensed for a moment and snapped her eyes open, he wasn’t that surprised but as soon as she started to giggle he couldn’t help but follow her lead. Chuckling happily, he shook his head as he placed the joint between his lips and pushed up to his knees. “Have a good nap, pup? Surprised you didn’t notice me sooner.”

Ever since Krista had admitted her feelings toward Deshi and he didn’t return them, they had been on rocky ground. He hated to admit that he missed back when they would just enjoy each other’s company and complain about how idiotic the pack could be. It was rare that he felt comfortable around someone else and he missed those moments.

He had found out about her birthday, despite her not telling anyone about it. He wasn’t sure why he bought her something but he did and now he had to build himself up to give it to her. They were at another pack gather, something Scott and Stiles insisted on at least once a month, when he had cornered her when no one else was around. Clearing his throat, he pulled out a small box from his jacket pocket and held it out to her while refusing to make eye contact. “Here. Heard around it’s your birthday soon. I saw this and just figured I’d buy it.” 

It was a thin silver bracelet with a dark purple stone alongside a small wolf howling. That may have been added just because he thought it was ironic. “Don’t worry, I’m not going to tell anyone that it’s your birthday. Just... figured you should get something.” He shrugged nervously and turned around to walk away without waiting for her response, grabbing a beer on his way out of the room and taking a long swig.
