This thing was sold before it was even finished. One of the other people at the makerspace was watching me work on it and decided it needed to be hers. The sales proceeds went to the local cat shelter where I’m a volunteer.

Glass etching. Made as a donation to the local cat shelter’s Christmas market.

Base is a bowl that I picked up at a thrift store for cheap; pretty sure it is the shortest, widest bowl in the CYLINDER series of vases from IKEA. Made all the snowflakes and cats in Inkscape, cut them out of vinyl, then spent hours weeding the designs (”weeding” is the term for picking out the areas that will be etched). Slathered it in Etchall reusable etching paste and let it do its thing, then rinsed off the etching residue and spent like another hour peeling the vinyl off.

Dimensions: 8.5cm tall, 21cm diameter.
