tl;dr she's suffering so much

her sunflower earrings have been removed + her hair has grown

first one is tragic considering she adores earrings and, throughout all her appearances, is only seen three times without them.

mahiru takes advice from the beautician she frequents so it's likely she's prefers to style her hair rather than leaving it disheveled.

2. her nail polish has been chipped off

this is likely because her arm is broken and she cannot maintain it anymore + she's lost access to her prison benefits.

3. mahiru's restraints had been changed to reflect a birdcage + she's lost her shoes

which just... it makes me sad, y'know? the birdcage represents her relationship and she's being trapped in one again with the milgram she loves. once again she was happy in her prison but realized too late that it wasn't as wonderful as she thought it was.

i hope third season treats her better :(
