Summary: Getting into a sorority party that your friend threw monthly was supposed to be fun after months of not joining in. You didn't know this one thing could throw your boyfriends into a frenzy.
Pairings: yandere!poly!ateez x reader
Warnings: yandere themes obvi, gaslighting, toxic behavior, possessive behavior, suggestive themes
A/N: first req babyy! And it's from my dear friend @starillusion13 , this one for u babes! Hope you like it ;)
Looking at yourself in the mirror, you smoothed down the tight dress you wore for the sorority party. You glanced at your phone, seeing as you still have a few minutes left before the party. You smiled when Taeyeon texted you, reminding to bring some extra vodka for the party.
Your smile turned to a grimace when another text popped up.
Yeosang.
Sangieee: babe, don't forget to lock the door when we're out k?
You bit your lip, texting a reply back before turning off your phone, exhaling softly before walking to the kitchen to grab the stashed vodka you bought a few days ago. The boys all asked why you bought the drink, lying through your teeth that your friend only asked you to buy it since the stores near her sorority was already empty.
You really did felt bad for lying, but when will you have another chance to go to a party without them disagreeing instantly?
The answer? Probably not in a million years.
Your boys are all very protective of you, always with you at every second when they have no classes. You did notice though that after dating them, a few of the boys like Mingi, San, and Wooyoung all appeared in your class.
You asked Mingi about it, him only smiling as he brushed your hair away. "We only did some talking with the administrator, no big deal."
Even though you all went to a prestigious university that has strict rules about moving classes as the semester is still ongoing.
Then again, Hongjoong's parents are the biggest donators for the university. You still have your doubts, but the suspicion is still there in the back of your mind.
Snapping back to reality when your phone rang loudly, you quickly answered your phone, stopping in your tracks as you swore under your breath.
"Baby? What's wrong?"
"Nothing, Yu. Just stubbed my toe," You lied, entering the spare room to grab Jongho's cardigan that somewhat suits your dress perfectly.
"Hmm, well I just wanted to call you to say that we may be out longer than we anticipated. Some idiot made a ruckus, resulting the place being in lockdown since security is checking everyone."
"Oh?"
"Don't be disappointed," Yunho chuckles. "We're probably back in two hours tops."
Two hours? Maybe you could stay a little longer than you expected.
"Okay, Yuyu. Stay safe, okay?"
"Alright, baby. Love you."
"Love you too. Oh! And also the other boys," You smiled before saying goodbyes. You huffed before grabbing your purse and the vodka, walking outside of the shared apartment and into the campus area where students are still loitering around on a Friday night.
You quickly spotted Taeyeon's sorority house, colorful lights and bass blaring from the house indicating that the party already started. You waved at a few of her sorority friends, quickly making way to the kitchen where you're met with the sight of Taeyeon making out with a frat boy named Baekhyun.
"Tae! I brought the vodka!"
She gasped loudly, shoving Baekhyun so hard that he fell to his ass, hissing in pain. "Don't do that! I thought you were Yoona for a sec there."
"Why? She doesn't even care that you're making out with her ex," You snort, placing the vodka down before grabbing the endless red solo cups.
"She might say that but I know from her looks that she's not entirely over him," Taeyeon pointed at him, making Baekhyun quirk his brow in interest. "Wait...really?"
"What does that supposed to mean?" She glared at him, making Baekhyun stammer his way out of the problem. Feeling the tense atmosphere, you slowly walked backwards towards where the party is, waving and giving him a thumbs up as Baekhyun looked at you for help.
You pulled Jongho's cardigan tighter around you, sipping your drink as you made way towards the small group sitting near the TV.
"Yo, there she is!"
"Hey, guys," You smiled at the group, sitting down next to Sunny who instantly chattered away, asking you about your boyfriends. You don't blame her, you never really mentioned them at all except when people asked you directly.
You felt a buzz from the cardigan, heart dropping as Seonghwa's name showed up on the screen. "Fuck me."
"What?" Sunny peeked at your phone, gasping in delight as she realized what's going on. "Did you—Don't tell me you just sneaked out to come here!"
"I mean..."
"Babe, I don't blame you," Sunny holds both of your hands, leaving you to drop your phone as it still rings. "You always join our party before you've met them. And now, it's basically like you're never here! Have fun, don't worry about them."
You glanced at your phone, eyes widening at the numerous texts blasting through your phone. You raised a hand up to Sunny, smiling apologetically as you stand up to walk outside.
23 missed calls.
Damn.
You yelped when your phone rings again, quickly answering it without seeing who called you. "Hello?"
"Sweetheart? Where are you?" Yeosang's voice made you freeze, quickly glancing around before trying to find a quiet spot near the sorority house.
"Um, I'm just—I'm out."
"Out."
"Yeah," You laugh nervously. "Just wanted some fresh air."
"You know you're not supposed to go outside right?"
"It's just—I can't sleep," You quickly lied. "So I went to the convenience store to buy a drink and maybe walk around the park near the university."
He only hums, making you bit your lip as you waited for him to reply. "Is that why you didn't reply to any of our texts?"
"Oh, about that..."
"Sweetheart, we know you're lying."
Your heart dropped, fingers twitching in an anxious manner as you tried to calm your heart. "What are you talking about?"
There was no reply, only hushed talking as it sounds like Yeosang's phone being passed to someone else.
"Don't lie, baby. Although you're near the university, we know you're not in the park," Hongjoong spoke through the phone.
"Huh? How did you—"
"You didn't turn off your location."
Eyes widening in realization, you quickly looked through your phone, cursing under your breath when the small red dot was still on. Your eyes shifted from your location to another red dot approaching yours.
You turned on the speaker, deciding to sit on the bench nearby. "Are you guys going to get me?"
"Hmm, maybe."
"I'm being serious, Jjoong."
"And we were being serious about you staying inside," He replied back, his tone serious and unwavering. "We care about you, we just wanted you to be safe. It's night, (name). Have you been listening to the recent attacks near university?"
You did know about the attacks. In fact, it somehow relates back to you since the guy who got attacked was your study partner, a frat guy named Minhyuk. Sure he was a bit rough and annoying, but at least he did his part of the work.
"I do know, Jjoong," You can't help but roll your eyes. "He was my study partner."
"And now you know why we're being extra careful with you. We don't want you to get hurt. The fact that it's a person who's that close to you, it makes our hearts hurt when we think about how dangerous it is for you."
You sighed, feeling the guilt rising inside your head as you anxiously played with the loose thread on the cardigan. "I just—I just wanted to have fun."
"Are you saying you don't have fun with us?"
"What? No! That's not what I meant and you—"
"It sounds like that, baby. Maybe deep down you do feel like that around us."
"Jjoong, stop it," You closed your eyes. "I'm sorry, okay? I just wanted to have fun like I used to do. It's been such a long time since I've meet with my friends outside of class."
There's talking from the other side, the boys seemingly discussing it together. You didn't even notice the single tear already coming out of your eyes, quickly rubbing it away and exhaling quietly.
"Alright, honey," Jongho said. "We'll talk about it more at home, but we'll agree to let you continue the party tonight."
"Wait, really?"
Jongho hums. "But, we have a set of rules for you to follow."
"Yeah, what is it?" You quickly agreed, not wanting the good chance to slip by.
"You have to be accompanied by two of us to every party you go. We know you're at the sorority party your friend always throw, and we know a few of them to not feel threatened."
"That's why we already sent—"
"Hi, sweetcheeks."
Your head snaps up towards the voice, letting confused smile grow on your face as San and Wooyoung walked towards you, their clothes still the same when they left.
"Seems like they're already there."
"We're here," Wooyoung sighed as he sits down next to you, placing his arm on the back of the bench as San followed his action. "No need to worry anymore. We'll stay here with her for as long as we have to."
"Really? I thought you guys were being checked or something," You asked. But Wooyoung only smirked as San chuckles. "Paid a little bit of money here and there, and boom! We're out."
"Besides, that dinner party was sooo boring," Wooyoung whines, placing his head on your shoulder as he pouted at you. "When we heard you're here at the party, we decided to just come here! You are happy, right?"
"Of course! Why wouldn't I be?"
"I don't know, babe," San started. "Seems like you really didn't care about us when you left the apartment. It kinda hurts, ya know? Being left out from your plans."
"I'm sorry, you guys haven't let me party ever since we started dating. I saw a chance...and I took it."
"Don't worry," It's Mingi's turn to speak through the phone now. "You can party whenever you want. As long as you have at least two of us with you at all times. Got it?"
You hum in agreement. "Alright, you all win."
"But we do have to talk about your punishment."
"Punishment?"
Wooyoung giggles as he kissed your cheek. "You thought you weren't getting any punishment? Honey, you disobeyed us by going out when we strictly told you not too."
"Plus, you guys should all see what's she's wearing," San hums as he rubs your waist with his hand beneath the cardigan. "A very...interesting choice indeed."
"Oh my, is it really that bad?" Seonghwa asked.
"A bit too tight in my opinion," Wooyoung shrugged. "But don't worry! We have a plan to show that she's ours."
"Huh? What do you—" You can't even finish your sentence before Wooyoung kissed you hard on the mouth, making you fall backwards to San as he easily catches you, kissing your neck before he started to suck on it.
You involuntarily moaned at the feeling, placing your arms behind Wooyoung's head and playing with his hair. He hums, satisfied, before following San and started biting and kissing your neck as his hands roamed your body.
"Yah! Don't get too carried away!"
Hongjoong's voice made you all stop, gasping for air as San placed a final kiss on your mouth. "Sorry, can't help it."
"Whatever," Hongjoong sighed. "We'll talk about it later. You both stay with her at all times, alright? No wandering around on your own."
"Got it."
"Good. Bye, baby. We love you."
"Love you too."
When the call ended, San jumped to his feet and stretched, his white button up almost exploding at how tight it is. "Come on then, let's party. It has been a while since we joined a party, let alone a sorority one."
Wooyoung holds your hand as San leads the way to the door, entering it and looking around. "You thirsty?"
"Actually, yeah," You replied. Before you told him what you wanted, Wooyoung piped in with his own remark. "No alcohol, Sannie. She has morning class tomorrow and we don't want her to have a hangover."
You huffed, already knowing that now San will not bring you any alcohol. You catch Sunny's questioning glance, before she smirks as she pointed towards her neck. You blushed, rubbing your neck in embarrassment as you realized that the hickeys and bite marks are probably still there.
"Don't feel so embarrassed, babe," Wooyoung smirks as he gropes your ass, making you yelp in surprise before slapping his arm away. "Wear it proudly, you're ours anyway."

The Cherry On Top • 02 • 03 | Charity stream disaster • 04
Tumblr media
Kenma checked his stream overlay one last time to make sure everything was set up correctly. The streamer was only ten minutes away from his scheduled 24-hour charity stream that Akaashi had set up for him in partnership with the energy drink company, Black Sheep. For every donation Kenma receives during his live stream, all proceeds will be 100% donated to help animal shelters in need of supplies.
For once, Kenma was actually excited about a partnership. As a lover of cats and raising three rescues himself, it wasn’t particularly a hard decision for Kenma to make when Black Sheep had approached him and brought up the idea of a partnership and a charity stream campaign in conjunction with the animal shelter Black Sheep was associated with.
That was why when his sponsorship with Black Sheep had been threatened by a rumor, Kenma ultimately made a public announcement to deny the rumor and personally reached out to the PR/Influencer team at Black Sheep to talk it out with them.
Now, three minutes prior to going live, Kenma’s phone buzzed multiple times. He glanced at the lit up screen and rolled his eyes. It was Kuroo who was blowing up his phone, and Kenma had a fairly decent idea of what the texts were about.
Last week, Kuroo and Kenma had met up with Akaashi and Bokuto for their monthly dinner meet up when Akaashi had mentioned Kenma’s upcoming charity stream.
“A 24-hour stream is too easy for Kenma; the gremlin routinely stays up at least 36-hours once a week anyways.” Kuroo let out a barking laugh as he flipped the meat that was grilling in front of the four friends.
“That’s besides the point, Kuroo.” Kenma rolled his eyes and leaned back in the vinyl booth. “I’m doing a charity stream. All donations I get during the stream goes towards the animal shelter that Black Sheep partners with.” Kenma made sure to slowly emphasize the word “charity” when he explained his upcoming project.
“You know, I’ve never seen Kenma so excited about a project,” Bokuto quipped as he eagerly tucked into his meal.
“It’s for a good cause and Kozume was quick to say yes,” Akaashi added as he flashed a small smile towards the flushed streamer. Kenma still wasn’t used to hearing people praise him, no matter how often he was always featured in esports commentary and articles.
“I have three cat rescues myself, so it was a no brainer,” he mumbled, averting eye contact. He opted to push around the burnt pieces of meat with his chopsticks around his plate instead.
“Aw, you’re embarrassed that you got caught being openly excited for your next project!” Kuroo smirked and nudged his friend. It was all friendly-banter, and Kenma knew that Kuroo meant well and was extremely happy for him, but he flushed harder as Bokuto and Akaashi chimed in to cheer on their friend.
“I’m just being a nice person. Maybe you should try it some day,” Kenma shot back.
“What do you mean?” Kuroo scoffed. “I’m always a nice person.”
Akaashi and Kenma rolled their eyes at Kuroo while Bokuto let out a good-natured laugh at Kuroo’s response.
“Hey, wait! You know what you should do to make your 24-hour stream more spicy?” There was a mischievous glint in Bokuto’s eyes as he waited for his friends to respond.
“Bokuto-san, whatever you’re thinking probably isn’t a go--”
“Drunk 24-hour stream!”
“Oh, nice!” Kuroo snapped his fingers and grinned his infamous Cheshire Cat smirk. Akaashi sighed and Kenma grimaced.
"I’m not going to take ideas from two drunks. And we barely sat down to eat, how are you two this drunk already?” Kenma wrinkled his nose.
Kenma unlocked his phone and quickly scanned through his group chat. Yup. There it was: a barrage of texts from Kuroo asking Kenma if he had his booze ready followed by a spam of suggestive eye emojis by Bokuto. Kenma was quick to notice that Akaashi had purposely chosen to ignore the group texts and offered no help in diverting the suggestions.
Tumblr media
Kenma snorted quietly at Bokuto's message as he locked his phone. He looked up at the monitor to his right and read some comments that were starting to flood in his stream chat. He gave his camera a small smile and leaned back in his chair, answering some questions that caught his attention and saying "hi" to others.
Kenma usually liked to start his stream off rather chill by interacting with his viewers. After playing his music playlist and adjusting the volume, he finally announced his agenda for the day after a few minutes.
"Today I'm partnering with Black Sheep for a charity stream. It's going to be a 24-hour stream and we're gonna spend most of the time playing some League. All donations I get will go towards helping an animal shelter which you guys know I'm all for." Kenma paused as his donation notification sounded and his text-to-speech setting began to read the donation to him and his viewers.
"meowriachi donated $25: 24-hour stream? too ezpz kodzuken"
Kenma laughed and ran a hand through his messy half-up styled hair.
"I was telling my friends about today's stream and Kuroo said the same thing. Maybe in our next collaboration we'll do a longer stream if you guys want that. We'll also be able to have more fun and do more things, too."
Kenma was smart and sneaky. He always was. Kuroo did always say he was the brains of the team back in high school when they played volleyball together. Kenma was good at analyzing situations, and because of this strength, Kenma knew when to use certain words and situations to create benefits for him and his career. This was no exception. The streamer knew Black Sheep would be moderating his stream, so now the company had slight pressure to partner with him again if there was an in demand from his fans. And this was Kodzuken we were talking about. There was no doubt Kenma knew there would already be a second sponsorship in the works.
Kenma smirked. Easy peasy stream indeed.
Tumblr media
Kenma loved his job. He truly did. It wasn't every day someone could wake up every day and actually look forward to going to work, and for that, Kenma was thankful. He was thankful that he had the skillsets to do well in competitive gaming and that he had a knack of being able to pick up mechanics of new games so easily. He was thankful that he had a fanbase that enjoyed his commentary and sarcastic humor, and a fanbase that supported and helped him build his brand from ground up.
Kenma knew he owed one-third of his success to his fans and another one-third to his own hard work and passion. But Kenma also knew he owed the last one-third of his success to his friends.
Not once did Kenma regret making Akaashi his manager; Akaashi had gotten him way more sponsorships than Kenma himself could've if he was still balancing streaming, content creation, and managing his own projects.
Kenma was thankful for Kuroo for always challenging him to step outside his comfort zone. Even when Kenma was irritated and didn't want to hear Kuroo's words of advice and encouragement, Kenma was still grateful for it all.
And Bokuto. Kenma guesses he can be thankful for Bokuto for always hyping him up when he needed it the most. Especially when he was extremely hung over from a night out of (forced) drinking and had barely ten minutes to wake up and set up his stream on time.
Yes, Kenma was truly thankful for his friends. But right now, Kenma wanted to kill them. He wanted to kill Kuroo and Bokuto for coming over to his house uninvited even after he warned them not to and for raiding his stream in real life.
Right now, Kenma was seething. One, he was in the middle of a very important sponsorship deal. Two, he was in the middle of a ranked game in League of Legends and he didn't want to lose his winning streak. And three, his two goofball friends had showed up to his house with alcohol and announced out loud to his viewers that Kenma would now be participating in a drunk 24-hour stream.
Kenma doesn't remember the last time he got this mad. What's worse was that Kenma's fans were all for it. His stream chat was getting spammed with poggers emotes, and it was difficult for Kenma to admit that he had been getting more and more donations ever since Kuroo and Bokuto had shown up and the alcohol was brought out. And because of that, Kenma had begrudgingly surrendered and cracked open a White Claw.
Except he didn't stop only at one; not if Kuroo and Bokuto could help it. And at only about 5'8" with a smaller build, Kenma unfortunately fell victim to being a lightweight. And with Kuroo and Bokuto, kings of being instigators, were there to egg him on along with his stream chat, Kenma downed can after can.
Just a little something to take the edge off a work week, right?

end notes:
→ kenma’s twitch stream took me 30 minutes to piece together 😪
→ if you see the same comments on kenma’s twitch chat twice... no you didn’t 😀🔪
→ also peep the stream title change 👀
→ kenma’s the type to use scuffed candids of his friends as their contact photos, but it didn’t work out too well. he actually respects akaashi enough to use a decent photo, and bokuto never takes a bad photo. ever. i guess kuroo’s the only one he can easily clown.

We're all second-screening. Here's how you're doing it wrong.
Tumblr media
Second-screening — watching TV while also looking at your phone, tablet or laptop — is probably the  most widely adopted destructive behavior of the decade. We keep hearing that it's bad for us; we keep doing it regardless. It's the smoking of the 2010s.
Psychologists were sounding the alarm as early as 2012 that this kind of screen-based multitasking seemed to be correlated with depression and anxiety. Did we listen? Did we hell. Back then, according to Nielsen, a mere (!) 40 percent of American adults looked at their phones or tablets every day while parked in front of the tube. By 2017, according to eMarketer, that number had climbed to over 70 percent.
The same study anticipated that second-screening would afflict 76 percent of us by 2019; looking around our living rooms now, that figure seems too conservative.
SEE ALSO: Dear significant others: Please let us watch our shows alone
"It relaxes me," my wife says, slightly defensively, when I catch her playing a mobile game rather than paying attention to our show. And really, who am I to judge? Many's the time I've thumbed through Twitter in the dull moments of a so-so episode. No one could be faulted for trying to hide from the commercial break by plunging into their phones instead.
Let he who has never second-screened cast the first stone.
So if we all do it, perhaps it's time to acknowledge that — and instead of wagging hypocritical fingers at each other, try to limit our second-screening in sensible ways that can help head off the worst, most anxiety-inducing aspects. Here's a look at the ways we're doing it right and wrong.
RIGHT: Stay on topic
Probably the most positive use case for second-screening is breaking news. Cable channels can give you one stream of information on a fast-developing story, the internet can provide another, and the two together make you less quick to jump to wrong conclusions.
When you've got multiple sources agreeing on the details of any still-murky event, you're doing news right.
With one eye on the news anchor and a thumb on Twitter, you're less likely to feel useless in the face of the latest unspeakable tragedy. You can donate, you can write to your representatives, you can motivate and console friends. A 2015 paper on "Second Screen Use and Its Effect on Online Political Participation" reached the conclusion that it actually makes us better, more engaged citizens.
The record high youth voter turnout in the 2018 midterm election, the most recent test of our activist second-screen culture, certainly did not disprove this theory.
But you don't have to be saving the world from your couch to feel good about second-screening. The psychological toll (not to mention the IQ-dropping effect!) of multi-tasking seems to derive from the effort of making our brain pay attention to two disparate topics at once.
If you're looking up the answers to questions brought about by the show, or live-tweeting it, you're going to have a better time than if you're just randomly browsing Instagram or scrolling anxiously through your email.
The early 2010s saw a brief flurry of interest in official second-screen apps specifically designed for popular shows, such as ABC's Grey's Anatomy Sync. That app has since vanished from app stores — possibly because it was redundant, given Twitter's ability to host all kinds of conversations, but more likely because Big TV realized that most of us aren't second-screening that way.
According to that eMarketer study, 131.5 million U.S. adults were looking at unrelated content on their phones and tablets while watching TV; just 46.2 million were browsing something related.
Be smart. Be one of the 46.2 million.
WRONG: Don't do it tired
There is, my wife the expert suggests, a limited pool of mental energy available for second-screening. The research on multitasking would seem to back this up, although we probably need more specific research on second-screening itself.
But anecdotally, I think we all know this to be true. Second-screen for too long, or do it too late in the evening, and you end up in a kind of mindless zombie second-screening situation. One where, if you were suddenly asked at any given moment what was happening on either of the screens, you might be hard pressed to answer. Where has your mind gone?
Our current global epidemic of sleeplessness is at least partly caused by the blue glow of LED screens. There's also a second-order effect involved: our obstinate insistence at bathing in two screens at once, too close to bedtime.
RIGHT: Stay alert for ads
Tumblr media
An unsuspecting family about to be lured in by marketing.

The zombified nature of the worst kind of second-screening may also be responsible for another  trend: we are ridiculously receptive to advertising when we're doing it.
That's partly because we're in more of a position to follow up on a TV ad if we have a device in our hands already. A 2018 study found the average viewer is 75 percent more likely to search for the product if they're second-screening, and that you're even more likely to do so if you're over 40.
But it also works the other way around — in terms of the screen and in terms of generations. A more recent study by Aki Technologies found that viewers were 59 percent more receptive to mobile ads if they're second-screening, moreso if they're millennials.
In other words, the more screens we use, the more advertisers and marketers have us right where they want us. Far be it for a journalist to decry this state of affairs and bite the hand that feeds us, but we should at least be aware that it's happening — not just to us, but to our kids too.
WRONG: Doing it alone
Tumblr media
Pick a screen, dude.
Image: Getty Images/Maskot
Second-screening makes a kind of sense for couples and families. It surfs the fine line between together time and alone time without you having to move from the couch. Your significant other can watch their favorite show while you catch up on work, indulge a good old-fashioned Facebook session, or maybe even — whisper it low — read a book.
But if you're flying solo, there's less of an excuse — and more of a possibility that you're just using multiple screens as a substitute for sociability. Are you getting that bright zombified buzz from being bathed in completely disparate kinds of media at once? Maybe pick a lane and stay in it.
Better yet, invite a bunch of introverted friends over, specifically for second-screening purposes. The lure of alone time together is stronger than you might think.
RIGHT: Stay connected
Even if you and your partner/family are all on the couch together, there is a right and a wrong way to second-screen.
Everyone's mileage differs on this, depending on your ideal level of physical affection. Personally, I'd argue that second-screening without some form of snuggling is no kind of second-screening at all. Holding hands while staring at different devices, occasional squeeze included, is a good way to remind each other that you're present, no matter how deep your internet rabbit hole has gone.
The other element of second-screen connection to consider is this: are you creating a safe, warm, happy space for conversation? Can anyone look up from their device at any given moment and say what's on their mind? Or are you hushing them, or dramatically rolling your eyes when you have to hit the pause button to hear them out?
I'm occasionally guilty of the latter. But it's important to remember, especially in our digital age, there is literally nothing we can't put down or pause for a chat. Humans come first.
No matter how many screens you have around you, remember: they come second.
WATCH: Report says popular apps are silently recording your screen
