this does also feel related to my secret belief that i think having an excessively happy childhood is unhealthy in the long run
#the thing about having a fucked up childhood is#literally not once as an adult have i ever missed childhood or looked back on it with any wistfulness or longing#even when it sucked real bad adulthood has always been very obviously superior to childhood for me on every level#my childhood didnโt give me emotional stability or a healthy psychological foundation. but it did give me that.#and sometimes when other adults talk about childhood iโm like. you know what. this was a rare and precious gift to receive
