I want to read a LCF x Assassination Classroom crossover only for the sake of seeing OG!Cale interact with the principal.

They would fight and OG!Cale would win because he's such a little shit and fears exactly one thing— and manipulative assholes aren't that.

Principal Asano (whatever his name was) would have an aneurism trying and failing to intimidate him.

This brat (because any version of OG!Cale would kick his ass, but teenager!OG!Cale would be funnier) not only isn't affected by his bloodlust (he grew up around Ron, that was rather pathetic), he can see through his manipulations and plotting as if he was reading a book— an easy one, at that—, and had been going in circles around him since he entered through the door!

What is worst, he has been switching back and forth between almost calling him out and playing dumb since he tried to use one of his usual tactics with him. He's laughing at him inside— he knows it.

He ends up giving Asano a nervous tick.

So, AU where teenager Og!Cale transmigrates to AssClass world— maybe he appears near Karasuma's colleagues so he has to deal with him (because whatever God that delivered him knows that kid needs a responsible adult around)— and proceeds to take it really well. Can't say the same about some people (cofcof Asano cofcof) who fucked around him and now find out.

Meanwhile, Karasuma is very busy with his job, the supersonic octopus, getting his teaching license, and the strange kid with self-esteem issues that crossed worlds— who's now living with him.

Curiously, helping Cale to accommodate to a whole different world and society is the less difficult task out of all of them. The hardest part so far was explaining him why his happiness and reputation isn't a "good price to pay" for someone else's wellbeing.

(Although the talk about "why exposing yourself to any nocive substance was a bad idea even if you have a great tolerance or immunity to them, and therefore, is forbidden" had been a close one. Seriously, why does he knows how poisoned food tastes like?)

Fandom: Stranger Things, Steddie, Nancy's POV

A/N: Finished my first semester of grad school! Here's a small fic to celebrate.It's kind of a different style than what I usually go for. Lmk what you think. :) /gen /pos

Nancy Wheeler knew she was far from perfect. But, for all her faults (bossiness, impatience, her tendency to be a know-it-all - okay, Mike thank you for elaborating!) she considered herself to be a good friend to her ex-boyfriend, Steve Harrington.

It certainly didn’t start out that way. Nancy still felt a curl of guilt deep in her stomach when she thought of the cruel, drunken words she spat at Steve that Halloween, or the way he still winced when anyone said the word bullshit. But, after saving the world with her four times in a row, Steve had somehow found it in himself to forgive her. That was a gift horse that Nancy certainly wasn’t going to look in the mouth.

Here’s the thing: Nancy knew Steve. Like, better than most people. Her unique position as ex-turned-friend meant that she had access to information that few others did. And one such piece of information was just how much Steve craved physical affection.

It was obvious to her, the way he would lean into Robin’s touch when she fixed his collar, or the way he seemed to always be the last one to let go in a hug. Steve wanted to be touched, and no one was doing it enough.

At first, Nancy was stumped. She didn’t necessarily want to be touchy with Steve again - that just wasn’t the type of relationship they had now, and knowing the kids they would assume that the two of them had gotten back together, which was a conversation she wanted to avoid if at all possible. But it seemed too weird to walk up to Robin or Dustin and ask them to touch Steve more.

The perfect solution fell into her lap one movie night. The Babysitter’s Club, as the older kids had dubbed themselves, tried to meet at least twice a month, more to get high and shoot the shit than to actually watch movies. This particular night found Robin and Nancy digging through Steve’s parents’ extensive movie collection, yet to find one that they both agreed on. Jonathan and Argyle sat on the couch, being unhelpful, Nancy thought to herself when neither of them backed her up when she suggested All The President’s Men. Steve had situated himself on the other couch, stretched out, languidly watching Nancy and Robin argue with half closed eyes. Eddie strode into the room with all the grace of a newborn deer, nearly spilling the giant bowl of popcorn in his hands.

Eddie reached Steve’s couch and prodded Steve’s foot. “Move these, big boy, this spot has my name on it.”

Steve raised one eyebrow and made a show of looking at the seat in question. “Huh. Weird. Nope, nobody wrote Eddie Munson’s Spot on here. In fact, I figured that this couch was reserved for me, since this is my goddamn house,” he snarked, smirking and crossing his arms over his chest.

Eddie squawked, throwing a hand over his heart as he began a dramatic monologue about betrayal and the king’s throne. Nancy was suddenly struck with a mischievous idea.

“Eddie,” she said, cutting off his rant mid-sentence. 

He turned to her and raised an eyebrow. “Yes, lady Wheeler?”

Nancy smiled, blinking innocently. “Steve’s ticklish.”

Steve’s eyes shot open in panic and Eddie’s in delight. “Nance!” Steve protested, trying to vault himself off the couch frantically, only for Eddie to throw his entire body on top of Steve’s, knocking the wind out of both of them.

Eddie recovered first, crowing in delight when a poke to the side had Steve recoiling with an aborted giggle. Without further ado, Eddie rained ticklish pokes up and down Steve’s torso, cackling madly. Steve, failing to wrestle his arms out from underneath Eddie, bit down on his growing grin and squeezed his eyes shut.

“Ohhh, Nancy Wheeler, Chaotic Good doesn’t even begin to describe you,” Eddie said, switching to rapid spidering along Steve’s flanks. 

Steve puffed out his cheeks, desperately trying to contain his laughter, but Nancy could tell he wouldn’t be able to hold on much longer.

“If you get under his arms, he’ll break,” Nancy said confidently.

“Would you just shUT uhuhuhuhuhup, Wheeler,” Steve yelped as, just as Nancy predicted, he collapsed into frantic giggles as soon as Eddie wormed his way under his arms.

“Not a nice way to speak to someone who knows all your tickle spots,” Nancy teased, watching as Steve’s already pink face turned crimson. 

“Oo, I take it back, Nance, maybe Chaotic Evil fits you best,” Eddie laughed as he dug deep into Steve’s underarms, prompting a howl from Steve. “Any other tricks up your sleeve?”

Nancy pretended to think for a moment, taking her time as Eddie took Steve apart. Steve shook his head back and forth as Nancy tapped her chin.

“Nonononono, Nahahancy, plehehehease,” Steve craned his neck to look at her desperately as he laughed.

Unable to keep up the charade, Nancy grinned evilly. Steve might as well have given her permission. “If you squeeze his thighs, he’ll scream,” she told Eddie.

Immediately, Steve started babbling, pleading with Eddie, who evidently would have none of it as he reached down and squeezed the top of Steve’s thigh.

Steve exploded into laughter, almost bucking Eddie off of him as his hips shot towards the ceiling involuntarily. They quickly collapsed back down, though, as Steve’s energy sapped as his two worst spots were tickled at once. Tears of mirth gathered at the corners of Steve’s eyes and slipped down his cheeks.

Nancy caught Eddie’s eye and motioned for him to let up. Eddie did so, got up off of Steve, before lifting his limp legs and sitting down victoriously, placing Steve’s feet in his lap as Steve came down from his giggle-high. Eddie grinned at Nancy and she responded with a smile of her own. Then she mimed running her fingernails gently over the tops of her own feet, nodding at Eddie when his hand hovered, hesitating, in the same position over Steve’s.

Nancy looked on as Eddie ever-so-lightly brushed the tips of his fingers over the tops of Steve’s feet, and felt a warmth bloom in her chest at Steve’s responding tired, pleased hum. Eddie looked like he was going to keel over from how cute Steve was. 

Steve’s eyes slipped closed as he focused on the tingly sensation. Nancy knew he wasn’t far from sleep; he was worn out. Before he completely drifted away, however, he mumbled in her direction, “And fuck you very much, Wheeler.”

Nancy snickered to herself. Oh yeah. She was definitely the best ex-girlfriend-turned-friend that Steve had.

“In the times before the great undoing, a mythical Phoenix swooped the underground causing an eternal fire to light. That, was the beginning of life.”

The Realm of Demons (Known as Ura) had come to life only when the seven fallen princes were banished to a barren underground land. The sun didn’t shine, yet it appeared that the land was naturally lit up with the fire that burned as well as odd crystals that soon enough would be harvested to create an eternal light source. Each prince began plans for what they wanted to do with the land, and upon arguments they came to a solution. They were to create seven cities across the land, each city ruled by one of the princes. Six in a circle with the final seventh city built around the burning fire that never seemed to go out; Shortly named the Infernal Fires. To build these cities took time and they had to gather followers. With their fall however, roughly 2,400 angels came with them. With more buildings created, the cities grew into something like metropolises, brimming with life and energy. Each city had its own rules, yet main rules governed the Realm of Demons, keeping a neutral ground for all. These rules weren’t as strict as those of angels, and were almost nothing alike to the human ones. Many demons inhabited the cities. From Demons of Fate, goblins, Incubi and Succubi, Wandering groups of Demons visiting from other realms that decided to settle. Demonic familiars, Drudes, elemental demons, demons that were born from a union of a demon with a human. The mischief makers, the chaotic. The dangerous and the ones not to be underestimated. There were many demonic races within the realm that came together, making the Realm what it is known as today. The seven cities and their princes are known as; Plamerium, the city of Greed and led by Mammon. This city is what you could compare to Las Vegas the most. Bright with many lights, there are a lot of casinos and flashy buildings here where demons can waste their time away making bets and deals that to a rational human might be beyond understanding. Everything is fair game here. The more you own, the wealthier you are, the better for you. The more you gain in this city, the better your position is on the hierarchy and the billboards. Azepolis, the city of Lust and led by Asmodeus. Azepolis is known for its high population of Incubi and Succubi, whom find it the most attractive place to live. If you’ve ever heard of the ‘Red Light District’, imagine this the huge version of that. Plenty of places to visit if you wanted a ‘good time’ although you coming out of there alive might not be guaranteed. Lust for sex, lust for life, this is how the demons of this city roll. Vakadeium, the city of Envy led by Leviathan. Envy is a powerful one to tamper with, and oftentimes in this city there is a lot of stealing. Finders keepers as they say, although it’s not always about just the taking of people’s physical items. From statuses, abilities, to even powers and traits, this town is known for being a huge masquerade of thievery. Everything and nothing belongs to everyone, it’s a constant fight to see who can collect the most.  Visit with caution. Liosontry, the city of Gluttony led by Beelzebub. The city of food! Everywhere you go there’s places to eat. Restaurants, demonic versions of fast food restaurants. And the food? The food is well known for being addictive, making the individuals want to eat more and more. Even with demons having a rather quick metabolic system, the amount of food consumed really could leave you in chair for days. Luckily a lot of demons are good with burning down toxins. Now, anyone up for a pig leg? City of Straka, lead by Amon and the city of Wrath is the home to some of the most dangerous demons in the Realm of Demons. Even by the realm’s standards, some of the demons that live there are outlawed due to how chaotic they are, destroying things in their path. The demons living here have a notorious tendency to escape to the human world, which causes grave danger for the supernaturals living peacefully with the humans around them. There’s no love, just fury and hatred. Enter at your own death wish. De’Klaco, the city of Sloth belonging to Belphegor. The

quickest way the the best way.  This city is filthy in more ways than one; The demons living there are known for their laziness and procrastination. They want to play but not put any effort into what they do, which leads to half-assed efforts from them and oftentimes unfinished businesses.  These demons can’t be trusted with anything and honestly are the worst when it comes to productivity. They’re sly too, they know how to get things with the least effort to put into it. And finally the central city Stellatinam, the city of Pride led by no other than Lucifer. The city of pride, the excessive belief in one’s own abilities. There’s a strong Victorian theme running throughout the city,- Horse carriages pulled by demonic steeds can be seen trotting through. Those living in the town are often rather prideful of their abilities, but it’s also known as the least dangerous city to live in. Not to mention that this city is built around the Infernal Fires of the realm, protecting them and of course, priding themselves in being so close to the ‘treasure’ of this realm, reminding them to burn as brightly as those flames. The city has a fancy feel to it and while formal clothing is often seen outside, who knows what kinds of deals go behind doors and windows of the buildings. Would you dare to visit?

It is known that sometimes other supernatural races might visit the realm when they need something to be done. But the most interesting thing is the fact that in the Central city, Stellatinam, there is a main building that holds every single file of every supernatural living on Earth. From where they came from, to the main points of their lives, all information seems to be noted down about each person. The place is run by demons who sort and file out sheets, keeping in check with any newcomers and timestamping actions that happen in the individual’s life. After all, someone has to take care of the beings on Earth after the increased supernatural apperances, and Lucifer seems to have taken it onto himself, alongside his daughter. The archive building is perhaps one of the most important locations within the City.

Over time, the Infernal Fires began giving birth to demons. It is a very rare Occurrence that roughly happens every thirty or forty years, producing a single demon each time. No one is quite sure how this happens or for what reason, but these demons tend to have unique traits unlike most of their kind. It is sometimes said that the souls of demons that died return to the flames in hopes of one day coming to life again. Whether this lore is true, no one knows. One thing is well known though, is that demons born from these fires are often born curled around a large crystal of some sort. The colours differ but more often than not, they're called the demon's 'soulstone'. Whether they are kept or not is up to the demon to choose. 32 Attitudes That Sabotage Weight Loss

It's time to detect them to finally untie the knot of weight loss!

They are on the kitchen counter, on the office desk, on the bedside table in the room, and inside your head.

Worse: as they are not usually directly related to weight gain, these clutter sabotage efforts to lose weight year after year.

1. "Only kill yourself for a few months"

There are two kids behind this reasoning, very widespread among those who want to wipe out the measures. Firstly, too restrictive regimes or heavy workouts are difficult to adopt.

"Then you have the following: the incorporation of balanced habits should not be seen as something temporary," says physical education professional Antonio Herbert Lancha Jr., author of the book The End of Diets (Ed. Abril).

"Otherwise, you may even lose weight, but you will regain weight once you restore the old pattern."

2. Do not plan

Food behavior expert Brian Wansink often asks clients and research volunteers how many food decisions they think they make each day.

"They respond between 20 and 25. But they make around 200, mostly unconsciously," notes the scientist, director of the Food and Brand Lab at Cornell University in the United States. When stating a goal, design the choices that will lead to compliance.

Example: If you want to have fruit at home, you need to make time to go to the market.

3. Unrealistic Promises

"In the fight against obesity, motivation is fundamental," says psychiatrist Adriano Segal of the Brazilian Association for the Study of Obesity and Metabolic Syndrome.

To keep it high, look for possible targets to be hit without so much suffering.

"The choice must come from the individual, not from the professional," recalls Cynthia Antonaccio, a nutritionist at Equilibrium Consultoria and one of the authors of Behavioral Nutrition (Ed. Manole).

You can determine that you will swallow at most one serving of potato chips per week.

4. Messy agenda

Leaving to buy vegetables only "when given time" culminates in a pantry full of biscuits and instant noodles. Yes, our daily schedule is full of chores, but two verbs help find space for weight-loss attitudes: prioritize and organize.

Think about going to the fair or exercising as related tasks and outlining your routine to see where to fit them.

5. Empty kitchen

In his book, Brian Wansink recounts the case of a journalist who reported to his services to win the dispute with the scale.

When he said he'd take a look at her kitchen, he heard, "This room is not the problem because it is always empty." But that is where deception lives.

"If the refrigerator is deserted, people order pizza or sandwiches, even when they just want a snack," notes Wansink.

Now, do not think your house is forbidden from harboring any remnants of goodies. Ideally, most foods should be light. However, there is room for small indulgences.

How to store

Believe it or not: the probability of snatching the first item you see in the closet is five times greater than that of eating the fifth. But you can use that to your advantage. Store the vegetables on the shelves more noticeably and save the sweets in the bottom of a drawer.

It's amazing how the eyes define our behaviors.

6. Chaotic environment

Dirty crockery in the sink, leftovers on the countertop, open drawers. Is this description familiar to you? Such attention!

In a survey of the University of New South Wales, Australia, 108 women have left in a zoned or otherwise perfect kitchen - both contained pots of cookies, crackers, and carrots. After a measly ten minutes, the participants in the messy room consumed 53 more calories in cookies.

7. Eating with friends

Let's face it: According to a paper from Cornell University, men fill their belly more (30% more, to be exact) when they feed on a group.

In women, the sensation of being observed has the opposite effect. It is not that, from now on, the lads should only dine in an isolated room.

The message is not to compete to see who gets more bogged down, but to take advantage of the presence of colleagues to keep up the conversation and to give folks calmly.

8. Refer to the show

More than 200 homes in the city of Syracuse in the United States were photographed before Wansink, and her team arrived at the following observation: women who live in a kitchen with a bottle of soda on the bench are on average 11 pounds plumper compared with neighbors free from this temptation.

Those that left a bowl of fruit in the same place were 5 kilos thinner. Got the message?

9. Table sleepers

Never underestimate what a few feet away from the food source do for the waistline.

"The need to get up and walk to the edge of the stove helps us think if we want more, rather than picking up another spoonful of autopilot," says nutritionist Cynthia Antonaccio.

American experiments show that the tactic reduces food intake by about 20%. It is no small thing.

10. Noisy place

At the University of Illinois in the United States, 60 families were recorded during a meal.

Half heard the noise of a vacuum cleaner between a fork and another. The result of martyrdom size? Parents abused cookies, soft drinks and even carrots, a sign of distraction to the extreme.

Curiously, the noise did not influence children's habits, but scientists realized that they received less attention from adults.

11. Delicacy in service

A hidden camera and bullet pots. These were the materials needed for a unique experiment mentioned in the book Slim by Design. For days, office workers were filmed.

At one point, the container with candy was dropped within reach of the employee. In another, he appeared on a table two feet away or hid in a drawer. And did not those 200 centimeters have a consumption of 125 calories less?! Ah, laziness.

12. Failure to clean the dish

After a series of interviews with individuals who have always been thin, the Cornell University class has revealed that they have three times greater tendency to sit with their backs to the platters after passing the self-service queue.

"Watching a lot of customers filling their plates makes me want to repeat," justifies Wansink. In fact, the skinny people he and his colleagues went to tables farther away from the food source.

17.  Inattention in line

In the rush of lunch, it is common to thicken the row of zombies that enter the restaurant by the kilo, pick up the cutlery and are already starting to serve.

Tell me what you think we least understand about the social costs of inequality.

Keith Payne

One big misunderstanding is that when people start talking about inequality, their minds go straight to poverty, but poverty’s only half of the equation. Inequality is about the size of the gap between the wealthy and the poor. It’s obviously important to be concerned about poverty and to alleviate the suffering that accompanies it, but that’s still only half the problem.

What’s the other half of the problem?

Keith Payne

What people underappreciate is how having extreme inequality driven by the high end of wealth also causes trouble for society and for people’s well-being. Poverty is a related but separate problem. The presence of extreme inequality destabilizes a society in ways that are hard to understand but absolutely devastating.

Let’s get into that. What sorts of problems spring from these wealth gaps?

Keith Payne

For starters, it produces serious health problems, and not subjective problems but objective health problems, like chronic diseases, obesity, drug and alcohol problems, and, ultimately, shorter life expectancies. You see comparatively higher rates of these health issues in countries with the most income inequality, and that’s after controlling for average income.

Sean Illing

I know what you mean when you say “controlling for average income,” but can you make that clear for people who don’t have a background in statistics?

Keith Payne

Sure, it means that if you take two people who make the same income, but one lives in a very high-inequality place and one lives in a low-inequality place, the person in the high-inequality location is more likely to deal with these chronic diseases, more likely to deal with these drug and alcohol problems, more likely to actually die sooner than the same person living in a low-inequality environment.

The high-inequality countries also have more crime, more incarceration, more school dropouts — things that we normally associate with poverty, but in wealthy developed countries, they’re actually more closely linked to inequality than to poverty rates.

It seems obvious that wealthier people with more resources and better access to medical care will be healthier than poor people. But when you compare across societies, you find that the average person in a high-inequality society like America is less healthy than the average person in a low-inequality society like Sweden or Norway. How do you explain this gap?

Keith Payne

The perception of inequality around us has a couple of different effects. One is that it makes the average person feel poorer, [in] comparison to those who have more. And the second is that it raises our expectations. It raises our standards for what we think it is to be normal. Now, that all seems very subjective, but when you perceive yourself as poor compared to other people, that sets off a chain of events that translates into physical outcomes.

Sean Illing

That’s what I’m getting at: What’s the pathway from subjective perceptions of one’s relative poverty to actual physical health problems?

Keith Payne

One pathway is stress. If you perceive yourself as relatively low on the social ladder compared to others around you, it’s stressful, and the body treats that stress in the same way it treats a physical threat. So if you get the fight-or-flight response, you get immune responses that in the short term are good, but if they go on over the long term, over weeks or months, they can cause health problems.

Another pathway is that feeling lower on the status ladder compared to other people changes the way we approach decision-making in our own minds. It makes us riskier in our decisions; we focus more on the short term as opposed to the long term. So you have more people playing the lottery, taking payday loans, making questionable choices to try to get ahead economically. The long-term effects of these choices are usually bad — economically, emotionally, and physically.

Sean Illing

You also find that high-inequality societies are more polarized, more chaotic, and more dysfunctional. What accounts for this?

Keith Payne

What you find is that people who perceive themselves as having low status in a society often search for meaning in various ways, and one form that takes is believing in conspiracy theories. People disillusioned by their status in society look for various kinds of patterns around them, ways to justify their place, and that often takes irrational forms like conspiracy theories. Other times, it takes more normative forms like enhanced religious devotion.

Feeling lower status also has the effect of leading people to feel that the system is rigged against them. And so you hear a lot in the news about lower-education white voters feeling left behind as a function of the current economy and the kind of political consequences that has.

This feeling of being left behind is a real thing, but it’s not necessarily traceable to the fact that factories have gone overseas and that robots are replacing jobs. That’s clearly part of it, but the resentment is far worse when it happens in a society where people with higher educations and good social connections are getting wealthier and wealthier. It’s not hard to see how that can create political problems.

Is it fair to say that economic inequality produces more political tribalism?

Keith Payne

I would call it more polarization, but you can call it political tribalism. And it happens on the left and the right. Again, people look for ways to make sense of a world that seems unfair, and often they do that by retreating into tribal identities — whether it’s political or religious or ethnic or whatever.

Sean Illing

A lot of the psychological problems you point to stem from our tendency to measure ourselves in terms of our social status. But humans have done this since we started living in groups, and certainly since the emergence of private property and individual rights. We’re just hardwired to detect relative differences. Is there something unique about what we’re seeing now?

Keith Payne

There’s nothing new about this psychological tendency to measure ourselves against others; that’s no different than it was 100 years ago or 1,000 years ago. What’s different today is the scale of the inequality around us, which is about as high as we’ve seen since we started keeping records of it.

Sean Illing

Do you think we would be healthier and happier if we had more poverty and less inequality?

Keith Payne

I think there’s a case to be made that trading off some measures of wealth, like the gross domestic product, would be worth it for the benefits that come with reduced inequality. The problem now isn’t that there’s too much wealth; it’s that nearly all of the increases are going to the wealthiest members of society.

Even if by some miracle we doubled everyone’s income tomorrow, that would only increase the inequality because when you double the income of millionaires, they get a lot richer than when you double the income of somebody making $20,000.

Usually, there isn’t a trade-off between more wealth and less inequality, because if you look across countries, the countries with lower levels of inequality actually have greater levels of social mobility. It’s easier to climb up that economic ladder if you’re in a place where inequality is on a human scale, as opposed to the astronomical levels of inequality that we see in America.

Sean Illing

A free society is going to produce unequal outcomes, and that’s fine so long as those inequalities don’t explode to epic proportions. So how do we negotiate these tensions?

Keith Payne

You put it well. That’s the trade-off we face. I don’t think there’s one optimum level; each society has to sort this out for itself. What works for Norway might not be the solution for America.

But the argument isn’t that everyone should be the same, or be equally successful. The argument is that democratic societies have got to negotiate these trade-offs and find the right balance between free markets and a progressive taxation system or a safety net that helps to even out the winners and losers in a way that preserves equality of opportunity but doesn’t allow society to become destabilized by inequalities.

I’m not a policy person, so I don’t have the answers. But we have enough data to know that this is something we ought to do if we want to keep our societies stable and healthy.
