Karma: But why act so smug? You won by only 1.8% :P
Gakushuu: Shut it—a win is a win.

Some doodles based on this very hectic poll. I know I’m a little late, but I’m also on a trip up north rn.
A hint of AsaKanza because I haven’t drawn AC in a while, and I’d like to include the gal. That, and I got some encouragement from Luna to include Yukiko.
That, and because I be hella biased towards my favorites, as y’all should know by now :P

Spider man ATSV x Assassination Classroom au!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ramblings about the au below!
The characters aren't going to be like the characters they're based off of btw :)
I was going to draw someone based off of pavitr but I couldn't decide whether it should be nagisa or kaede
Koro sensei is the same one from the anime and somehow ended up in the society. He decides to dress up as spiderman for fun and he's allowed to stay as long as he behaves. He's like Peter.B in terms of being an educator. He goes there when he isn't teaching his class to bother gakuho (Miguel) there
Gakushuu is a student at a prestigious school and his dad is a professor there. He's gotten in a lot of fights with him because being spiderman caused him to miss some classes. Big five is the guy in the chair. The E class doesn't exist because Ikeda is alive (until he isn't) so he's not familiar with karma/Korosensei/Nakamura even though they had all met a variant of him at some point in their world
Karma is a Gwen variant and is basically the same but is more hated in his world because of his pranks lmao. He got his haircut the same way Gwen did. The peter that died in his world was his best friend nagisa and he didn't make friends until he met Gakushuu
I actually don't know a lot about punk culture so Nakamura is probably gonna be different but she lives in an oppressive society and ever since she became spiderman there she pretended to be carefree/silly like the anime to be some sort of beacon of hope there. She's actually serious/careful and like hobie she'd help people 👍
Ask me some questions about this au! :D

Terasaka: It's just, you sound a lot more like Hazama than I expected.

Gakuhou: You’ll have a hard time believing this because it never happens, but I made a mistake.

After reading the 'Karma x Gakshuu reader' I'm genuinely curious what if the roles were reversed? Amano Gakshuu x Akabane Reader?
Hm, I think I'll answer this ask in a sort of headcanony way, if you don't mind...
Reader pronouns used: they/them
Tumblr media
I think a lot of what was key to the original story was the whole 'opposites attract' trope as well as the 'enemies to lovers' theme, and I don't see that changing here.
However, due to Gakushuu being the focus love interest here, I would personally set the whole story in his natural habitat: the Main Campus.
Reader would be a student from E-class, and they would rise up the ranks to join A-class. I don't think most E-class students would want to leave willingly, but I doubt Reader's parents would force them to go, since they didn't seem to care when Karma dropped down.
Therefore, I would have the Principal himself pressure Reader into going to A-class... possibly because they're a great asset to the system due to their high intelligence and talent, and so he wouldn't want to let go of such an asset.
Additionally, I think it would be also a good idea if the Principal wanted to make Reader go to A-class so he can control them. Why? Because reader is stirring up a rebellion. They're talking to their D-class friends who haven't cut Reader off after their drop, and Reader is trying to convince them to drop to E-class, and rebel against the system.
And the Principal can't have that, can he?
So Principal sends Reader to A class, but Reader hasn't had their rebellious spirit quashed yet. They're in class, sure, but they're questioning the teachers, debating with their classmates, encouraging them towards new ways of thinking that don't involve the system, trying to spark a change in the top instead of the bottom, which is not very good for the Principal either.
This is where Gakushuu comes in.
Principal Asano makes it Gakushuu's task to keep Reader under tabs, and to neutralise any trouble they make. Gakushuu does this by making Reader part of the student council, and then promptly drowning in work.
Asshole move much, Gakushuu?
Reader is now hanging out with Gakushuu a lot more, and they get talking as a result. Reader is not happy with him, and there's plenty of passive-aggressiveness, but not nearly as much hostility as there was between Asano!Reader and Karma in the og fic.
Because Reader actually is a bit more compassionate here, and they see Gakushuu as a victim of the system, same as the other kids in Kunugigaoka.
They have plenty of debates and the such, and slowly but surely, Reader begins to change Gakushuu's mind. Emphasis on the slowly, btw. Gakushuu was raised on this philosophy, he's not going to change that easily.
But eventually, he eases up. And things become a lot more fun. Gakushuu gets a little lax on making sure Reader is too busy to start a rebellion, and they get some free time.
During the free time, they both go to Reader's favourite arcade, and despite Gakushuu never having played a single arcade game in his life he is somehow ridiculously good at them? Which pisses off Reader.
Which means they get into a gaming contest.
They spend longer and longer spending time with each other, going to arcades, markets, or just hanging about in general. And it's fun.
Gakushuu begins to think of you as being a little less annoying. Maybe even kind of a friend.
Maybe even something more, but even he doesn't realise that.
It's all fine and dandy and cool and hip and– wait, what do you mean the Principal wants to speak to Gakushuu?
Things are not fine. The Principal has found out about Reader and Gakushuu's trips, and he is NOT happy. And he begins reprimanding Gakushuu.
Oh, but what's this? Gakushuu's arguing back! He's arguing against this whole twisted philosophy of his father's, he's rebelling, he's–
Aaaand the Principal brainwashes Reader. Fuck.
It's fucking terrifying. Reader is not themselves at all, and Gakushuu hates it, hates it hates it. No matter how he shakes you or screams at you, you just keep repeated the Principal's propaganda, a puppet of the system.
He's on the verge of breaking, just like his father wants, but then, he thinks: what would Reader do?
He pretends to submit. For now. The Principal is satisfied, but he keeps you brainwashed. For insurance, he says.
Well, it doesn't matter, because Gakushuu will set you free.
And that he does, when he starts a revolution.
The Principal should have seen it coming; Gakushuu's an amazing orator, but somehow he didn't, and now there's hundereds upon hundreds of students protesting, ripping up exam papers, burning textbooks.
You, in your mind-haze, look upon the chaos, and something stirs in you.
And like that, you're back. Vive la révolution! you shout, before spiking the teacher's coffee machine with extra-hot chilli pepper powder + laxatives. Karma taught you well.
And when all is said and done, and you finally see Gakushuu again at the end of the day, he give you a Big Damn Kiss. Roll credits.
Gakushuu doubts his father would appreciate him coming home after all that, so you let him stay at your place.
Karma is a bit hesitant about letting Gakushuu stay, but you tell him he started the Kunugigaoka Revolution and Karma agrees pretty quickly.
"If you get up to any hanky-pankying, keep it quite, alright?" he says. "I don't want to lost my beauty sleep."
You roundhouse-kick him for that.
Ah, but even at the happy end, there is still one problem.
There's only one bed. Whatever will you and Gakushuu do?

So so so... I'm sick, and for whatever reason my brain decided that this is a good time to start writing an amnesiac Asano fic. I've so many other fics in the works that I don't know if I'll ever continue this, which is why I decided to post it here before it gets buried and forgotten in the depths of my computer. Mainly I just had this one scene in my mind, and wanted to use this chance to have Shuu say something to his father.
But yeah. Here's a little untitled fic snippet for you, about 1000 words.
One cold December morning a boy woke up. He was lying on his back in a bed, and he remained there a good while, absolutely still, staring at the ceiling. Gradually, the frown on his face deepened.
Where… was he?
He sat up, looking at the room. A desk with schoolbooks on it, a bag on the floor, clothes set ready on a chair… were those his clothes? He touched them, hesitantly. There was something familiar about them, true…
Still confused, he decided to dress up. Whatever was going on, better not to face it in the pyjamas.
He gave the desk with the books one more glance and slipped quietly out of the room. The empty corridor behind the door was quiet and gloomy. He swallowed and started walking it down, instinctively stepping as quietly as he could. He took careful peeks into the rooms he passed, but there was nothing familiar in them, nothing to solve this mystery.
Ah, a toilet. That might be a good idea, no matter what was going on.
As he was washing his hands, his eyes fell on himself in the mirror, and he paused. Wait, was that what he looked like? Strawberry blond hair, violet eyes… He blinked, touching his cheek. Yeah. That was him.
Him…
He… who was he?
“My name is,” he started to say to his mirror image, but no name came to his tongue. “My name is,” he repeated more strongly, but to no avail. Nothing. His mind was empty.
His heartbeat sped up as he stared at himself, trying fervently to think. Who was he? Where did he come from? What did he do, what did he like?
He didn’t have a clue.
Also… what was this place he was in? His home? That would make sense, but… he pushed the toilet door open and shot a careful glance around.
This didn’t feel like home.
He didn’t know where he was, but he did know that he wanted to get out of there.
He came down the stairs, making his way slowly through the house, trying to spot a single detail that would seem familiar. Nothing. Step by step his nervousness rose, and he could feel his breath getting caught in his throat.
In the kitchen, there was a man sitting by a table, drinking coffee while reading something on his laptop. The boy paused at the doorway, wondering if he shouldn’t just go on, but the man had already noticed him. He gave the boy a curt glance.
“Sleeping late today, Asano-kun?” he said.
The boy blinked. “Asano… kun? Is that my name?”
The man lowered his coffee mug to the table, frowning at him.
“Is this some kind of a joke? Or are you implying you’re going to leave the family and pick a different name? Well, you’re free to do that once you’re an adult. For now, as long as you live in this house, you are still Asano Gakushuu.”
There was a long silence as the two stared at each other. The frown on the man’s face deepened as he looked into the boy’s eyes that reflected nothing but honest confusion.
“What are…?” he started to say, but the boy shook fervently his head.
“Are you serious? That’s my name? What the hell… why am I called ‘study’?”
“It’s written with the kanji for learning and excellence, you know,” the man started to explain, his tone hesitant, but the boy (Gakushuu? What the hell! He would not be called that) cut him off again.
“If that really is my name, I think I am gonna change it! It’s ridiculous!”
He was growing increasingly agitated. What was going on here? Was he caught in some strange nightmare? This house that made him so nervous, not to talk about this man… and that ridiculous name. This couldn’t be real.
“I’m dreaming, he muttered, squeezing his eyes shut. “This got to be a dream…”
A chair scraped against the floor as the man stood up. “Are you truly trying to say you can’t remember anything? Gakushuu?” A hand touched his forehead and he instinctively drew back. Opening his eyes, he found himself staring straight into the man’s. That unblinking, piercing stare made him feel cold inside, and he took another step back.
“Or is this some plot of yours?” the man went on, but he couldn’t really pay attention to what he was saying. Being so close to this man… made him even more nervous than this house. “What are you planning to accomplish? Amnesia is a serious matter, not something to joke about!”
“Who the hell are you, anyway?” the boy spat out, ignoring everything he had said.
The man paused. As he stared at the boy in front of him, the sterness on his face gave way to hesitation. “I… I’m your father,” he said then.
“No.” The boy denied it firmly, unhesitatingly, without even pausing to think about it. “No, you… you can’t be.”
“But…” Now the man seemed to be at a loss. Something about that amused the boy, but even so, he couldn’t help being on his guard. This man was dangerous. He knew that much.
“But,” the man repeated and swallowed. “If you don’t remember, how could you know…?”
“It doesn’t feel right,” he said. “I just can’t… can’t believe that you…” He shook his head. “There’s no way that’d be true. You’re not my father. Can’t be. You’re someone… I...” detest, he was about to say, but his voice trailed off. Was it a good idea to antagonize this man?
The man stared at him long and hard, his face utterly unreadable. “Wait here,” he muttered then. “Wait. I… I need to make a phone call.” He left the kitchen, fishing out a phone from his pocket.
The boy waited a moment, tiptoed then out and peeking into the living room, saw him standing by the window, talking with someone on the phone. Good. This was his chance.
Moving as quietly as he could he headed to the front door, put on shoes (interesting that there were clearly several shoes that could be his), grasped a coat and slipped out.
Leaving the house behind he finally felt like he could breathe again.
(tbc??? who knows, if I get inspiration)

Daddy’s Girl
Pairing: Asano Family x Young!Reader
Genre: Angst, SFW
Summary: It’s not easy living in your older brother’s shadow. When he’s your fathers protégé and you’re just a spare…
Warnings: Child neglect, mentions of abuse, cursing, toxic behavior
Notes: The names “Babes”, “Angel”, “Darling” and other endearments are used in a platonic manner.
Tumblr media
Your brother never treated you like your father did. He actually acknowledged you as a person and as a part of the family.
Gakushu would take care of you once your father decided you were old enough for him to stop caring, saying you were old enough to be able to handle yourself.
You were only 6 years old.
Maybe it was because Gakushu was already 15 that he took care of you. He certainly had more time in his schedule than your father. For you at least.
Even now, sitting in your fathers office on the floor in the corner, he’s not paying attention to you. You could be setting a fire and he wouldn’t notice until the room was in flames.
Gakuho is a man only concerned with self-preservation. The desire to only be the best. Nothing below perfection.
And you are the epitome of imperfection to him. A daughter that looks practically nothing like him. A brain for creativity rather than realism. And compassion for all, rather than for none.
“Father… can I go see Nii-San…?”
He barely payed attention to your words.
“You’ll only distract him. He has important responsibilities, angel. Not that you’ll ever understand.”
Despite how used to his words you were, they never stopped hurting. Your father… who was supposed to be the first man you’d ever trust and love, treated you like you were dirt.
“Now go back to your useless activities and keep quiet, darling. I have work to do.”
His words were always said with the fakest of smiles and the blandest of tones. He acted like a machine. He treated Gakushu like a machine. A well-oiled machine that would always be able to achieve perfection.
But not you.
You were but a bucket of spare parts.
It didn’t matter how hard you worked in school, your father never noticed. Or rather, never cared.
But even still, you wanted to please him… to earn his praise and maybe even a smidge of affection…
And to you, a small child who doesn’t know any better, even being spanked with his belt was affection. Proof that he was acknowledging you. Something you did, even if it was absolutely horrible. A failed test, a missed assignment, a swear slipping past your lips.
You wanted to have your fathers attention.
Yet Gakushu did everything he could to try and keep you away from him. Tried to reach you better. Get you to understand that “Babes, Father is not a nice man.”
And you never listened.
Because that was still your father.
You were still his daughter.
And no matter what, you’d always be Daddy’s Girl.
And the scars on your body and on your heart would prove that.

Mimi’s Notes: did i write this in one sitting? Yes. Will I go back and edit it at some point? Hopefully. Did I think this concept through? Kinda. Did it seem like a good idea? Yes.

I really love how Gakuho only allowed Gakushu to be slightly closer to his desk within the range of the 3 windows than the others (except Koro)
I really hate Gakuho but this is the most cutest thing ever 😫💕 Their relationship is really interesting, honestly I would love to learn more abt them

That one karmagisa neighbor au
Basically based on that one prompt where Person A wants to buy some embarrassing things, but doesnt want people to see them buying it so they use their neighbor's address instead and Person B (the neighbor) is like so your the person whose sending 10in dildos to my house and shenanigans ensue
Karmagisa edition: Karmagisa never met before and so in college, Nagisa's mom keeps trying to send him dresses and girl products and Nagisa doesnt want anymore people thinkings hes a girl so he gives her his neighbor's address to send them to and Karma eventually catches him in the act and the rest is history (bonus: Karma knows the perfect address to send the dresses to instead)

Who wants to go on a museum tour?
I was so excited to write this lol, the html kicked my ass but it's done! It's an interactive fic on ao3 that attempts to simulate a walk through an exhibit, moving from room to room and looking at one display after another.
Honest opinion it's not as cool as you think it will be BUT it is also cooler than you think it will be

The theme of change in Assassination Classroom is one that is present throughout the entirety from the series. Several of the characters continue to evolve and develop as the series goes on. It is one of the main draws of the show when looking at it from an analytical standpoint.
In some cases it is done so well, specifically in both Terasaka and Irina’s cases. They have very similar arc’s, both starting out distant from the class, even being mean to them. At one point they end up working for an antagonist from the story (Terasaka working with Itona and Shiro and Irina working for the reaper) before they realize they were in the wrong and help to stop the antagonist.
I really like how in both of these cases it isn’t just a one and done type thing that is used to squeeze another episode out of the show. It is shown through small moments written in how much each has evolved and grown by the end. It’s a constant.
The opposite could be said for a character like Hiromi. She is used for a couple of episodes, and never is properly shown to change. We don’t see the lasting effects (or any effects really) of the trauma her abuse could’ve caused to Nagisa. We see her once in an episode, then once in the Finale when she shows up at graduation. Like that’s supposed to make up for everything. This was honestly just poor writing in my opinion. It could have been set up much better and had little things thrown in the show that actually demonstrate a change in Hiromi’s actions.
Gakuhou’s arc is actually a weirdly interesting mix between the two previously mentioned scenarios. Throughout the entirety of the show leading up to the final exam episodes tension is being built up about Gakuhou and what direction his character is gonna go. He keeps getting progressively worse and worse, doing more horrible things in order to achieve a “total victory.” It’s all leading up to final exams and what’s going to happen.
The first part was executed nicely, showing the effects of his past actions on the people around him (ie. Gakushuu, E-Class, A-Class, etc.). We have a slightly confrontational scene between him and Gakushuu as well which I believe was also written well. We get his interesting sob story that explains why he did the things he did and then it all comes to an edge in his suicide attempt. He’s saved and then has the second confrontation with his son.
This is where the writing just falls flat. He doesn’t apologize or even explain to Gakushuu why he did what he did. He just declares he will change and then that’s that. And Gakushuu essentially forgives him (in not as many words). Then their story line is done. We don’t really see them again after that until graduation, and that’s more of a Gakushuu development thing (I’ll probably do a separate rant for that). Again, like with Hiromi, we don’t see any proof of change.
This (Gakuhou and Hiromi’s “character arc”) also pushes a narrative that abused or brutalized children should just forgive their abusers.
Overall the potential some characters, specifically Gakuhou, had was so wasted. The arcs were rushed for both Hiromi and Gakuhou and if just an inkling more time was spent on their character writing it could have been amazing.
