Leader and Healer

They were the ones the Clan trusted the most. No one suspected them, not even when so many Clanmates began to go missing or fell sick. They plagued ShadowClan for years, presenting as the saviours, the protectors, the friends.
But it was all just a game,
one they weren't quite done playing.

“Evil medicine cat” is such an underrated trope in warrior cats because think of the possibilities.
Imagine a medicine cat who makes up fake prophecies in order to shape clan politics. Who may not be the official clan leader but deep down has full control of the clan, through the leader’s actions. They control anything and everything without getting their own paws dirty. And no one suspects them of crime because a medicine cat is supposed to be a respected position, a cat who cares for others and has a strong bond with StarClan.
If they are really clever they could get away with even more things, like killing people who disagree with them. Someone comes into the medicine cat den because of sickness but they never get better, they keep getting worse and worse until they pass away, but no one realises that their death might be the result of poisoning.
Some might even suggest that the medicine cat could receive prophecies from the dark forest instead of star clan, but I wasn’t really aiming for a supernatural feel. I just want a cool smart evil medicine cat that manipulates clan politics to their own benefit, and might have even faked an omen (like Mothwing) in order to become medicine cat.

Warrior Cats Discussion/Idea #1- Evil Medicine Cat character
This is the first 'Discussion/idea' post of many that could come in the future! For this post, I'd like to discuss a possible role and character idea that I would like to see in future books: What if there was an antagonistic medicine cat?
Throughout the Warrior's arcs, there has always been a antagonistic character that poses a threat to the safety of the clans and its members. I've always wondered: what if one of these characters served as a medicine cat?
Now, I'm going to go over how I believe a villainous medicine cat could work and how they could pose as a dangerous threat to the clans. To start, let's look into their role and what powers they hold in their position: (quoted from the Warrior Cats Wiki) 'Medicine Cats are members of the clan who treat diseases and injuries.. They receive and interpret omens and prophecies from Starclan. They are highly respected by all the clans.'
Medicine cats are well respected by all of the clans, they also hold important knowledge, such as: their leaders' nine lives, receiving important prophecies and omens about the future of the clans through Starclan, etc. What if this was exploited by a cat with malicious intentions? A medicine cat receives directions and guidance from Starclan, helping their clan in the right direction. Being a highly respected member of the clan, this cat could possibly make false claims and 'guidance' from Starclan to manipulate their leader and other cats to their pleasing. This guidance is usually given through 'prophecies' or 'omens'. These are usually given to medicine cats to foretell or warn them about a situation or event in the future. Now, let's say this cat 'received' one of these and told their leader about what they now know. This sign could be ' interpreted' as: attacking another clan; exiling a cat; sending the clan or an individual to their possible demise, etc. Or quite possibly, have the role of the clan leader also to themselves if it was 'Starclan's wisdom and what they had decided'? This cat could be highly manipulative and dangerously so.
In their respected position, these cats would easily be believed compared to a warrior in the clan due to their strong connection with Starclan and trust amongst their clanmates. As medicine cats look after their clanmates' injuries and sickness-why would this cat possibly need to be questioned if all they do is look out for the good of their clan and interpret messages from their ancestors?
Another thing that medicine cats are responsible for and have access to is the clan's herb supplies. Medicine cats are highly trained in medicine and herbs and have expansive knowledge of herbs and treatments. What if this cat brought in lethal herbs such as death berries or other deadly herbs to use against a cat or possibly another clan? They would have far more knowledge about these herbs than other cats and could they cover it up quite easily too? If there were to be a Villain medicine cat character in the near future, a concept that I have thought up of is what if they could possibly get their 'guidance' and prophecies/omens from the Dark Forest? Another scenario could be that a Dark forest cat could be pulling the strings behind the scenes and manipulating this medicine cat into doing bad deeds or they could be working together to plot something sinister against the clans.
I've always loved the idea of an antagonistic Medicine Cat character and I really hope we can see it in future books. I doubt that we'll get one soon, but there is always a slim possibility that there will be such a character and I can't wait to see that and read about it! I'd love to hear your opinions on this too!

next up: Larkspurleaf!
this is crowpaw's mentor and shadowclan's healer. she's fairly old (probably about 80-90 moons) and has abysmal bedside manner; she's very cold but she works hard and gets done what she needs to get done, which means that she's pretty much the perfect shadowclan cat. she is Not Nice to crowpaw, though. larkspurleaf did not want to take on an apprentice, but StarClan demanded it, so she was forced to agree. in fact, larkspurleaf has a very strained relationship with starclan!
larkspurleaf originally trained as a warrior apprentice, but was taken on by the former healer when she was about ten moons old. she is extremely well-respected within the clan, but there's definitely something a little darker going on behind the scenes...

Not related to absolutely anything but silly little kitty antagonists.
Imagine being so bored that you willingly allow some vengeful loser dead man to hang around over your shoulders as you ruin the lives of your friends and family.
Silly little piece based off my goofy Clangen cats from CovetousClan, Thorntail and Flailbird.
Flailbird is literally just some sociopathic kid who finds his life and everyone around him boring and dull and Thorntail is a bitter former deputy trying to finish evildoings that he failed to do because he died early from illness like a loser. Flail just happens to be the perfect cat to do that through, since they both hate everyone.
Thorntail is evil stupid and evil smart, smart in some scenarios but mostly, he refuses to take responsibility for anything that goes wrong ever and laughs off any criticism given to him, he always has an excuse for something. Flailbird is smart evil, he's the brains of the two and honestly is almost as annoyed with Thorntail as he is with everyone else, but he has nothing else better to do but help him.
Ultimately, the piece is just a little story bit about Thorntail creating a stupid prophecy for Flailbird to lie about in an attempt to frame his former apprentice and the new deputy, Gullwing.
"Destruction will be brought upon a bird's wing."
Completely overlooking that it could also incriminate Flailbird in the process, because he's stupid like that. Flailbird isn't exactly the most trustworthy cat anyway, and they were literally trying to lie to the face of an old woman who already hated him and didn't trust his ass so that went about as well as expected.
Oh well, Thorntail had a bullshit excuse for everything going wrong anyway <3

Number of Murders: 17
Murder Method: varied, primarily herb-related kills
Known Victims: Fluffstar, Pooldapple, Frisk, Lupinehusk, Trembleclover, Shimmerfur, Beaverseeker, Heatherpaw, Sharkpaw, Sofritobeetle, Grizzlybeetle, Primrosepaw, Chiveswipe, Honeytooth, Brokenstar, Clovesplash, Goosesting
Victim Profile: Clanmates that gave her grief about her origins, anyone she blamed for her mate’s death
Cause of Death: bitten by venomous snake
Cautionary Tale: a kit not welcomed by the clan will burn it down to feel it’s warmth, grief will consume you if you let it
Story:
They found them next to their deceased father. It was just a moral obligation to bring them to the Clan--the warrior code said to help any kits in need, and who were they to break the code?
But ever since they opened their eyes, they felt unwelcomed.
An argument broke out in camp about keeping them, Fluffstar insisting they don’t need more mouths to feed while they sat in the nursery alone. Maybe if they proved themself, everyone would get off their case.
They had the other kit in the nursery, Rookkit, keep it secret while they snuck out. They had killed a mouse, and stuffed it full of things that looked tasty. Like those red berries they noticed! Returning back to camp, they eagerly presented her gift to Fluffstar, who, while upset they snuck out, did compliment the fact they were able to catch something for their age.
She never got up again.
But Butterflykit realized they really liked herbs more than hunting! So they managed to convince Pooldapple to let them become a medicine cat apprentice. They were getting old and needed an apprentice one day anyway!
So, as their friend Rookpaw became apprenticed to Chiveswipe, Butterflypaw was apprenticed to Pooldapple. But they didn’t realize how much of a drag Pooldapple was!
Constantly criticizing them, complaining about every little thing they did....It irritated them so much, they ended up just quieting her down forever with some nightshade squeezed into her water.
But.. they ended up being the only medicine cat after that. It was so stressful, they ended up having to have another mentor! Beaverseeker was able to help out with certain herbs, and he even encouraged their violent trends once he realized how many poisonous herbs the apprentice liked to collect.
That barn cat Frisk got let in with no complaints while you had to fight for your worth? Yeah, that’s so unfair, why not offer them a mouse with foxglove seeds inside?
While he taught them plenty of stories, he didn’t teach them much about actual healing. So once they became a full-fledged medic, they decided that he outlived his use. As they offered him some traveling herbs on their way to the Star Tree, he collapsed writhing in pain as they just kept walking, not willing to look him in the eyes.
Butterflywing went through their ceremony alone, choosing their name themself, as Starclan refused to name them.
They had become a full medicine cat at sixteen moons, waiting long enough, they figured. And once they got back, they silently got rid of the meditator.
They were actively trying to ruin their friendship with Rookpelt! Come on, he was the one cat they liked in this Clan.. Well, maybe a bit more than liked, considering how the two leaned upon one another like they only had two legs.
As their life continued, so did their murders. Albeit much slower now, as they had a mate who they loved dearly. The thought of him hating them for what they did made their stomach drop--and they even had a litter of kits!
They didn’t really want to raise kits while killing their Clanmates, so they decided to stop harming others, at least for the time being. Life was good, happy and comfortable; they had their mate and both of their litters were beautiful, what more could they ask for?
Then, a patrol Rookpelt was on suddenly reappeared early, explaining that Rookpelt slipped while traveling across a flooded river and drowned.
They couldn’t get his body back.
And something inside Butterflywing snapped.
Day by day, one Clanmate after another disappeared.
Honeytooth.
Shimmerfur.
Grizzlyplume.
Each kept showing up dead, even apprentices were disappearing suddenly.
Butterflywing cursed the Clan for taking the one thing they loved more than anything away from them, and wanted to make them all suffer in return. It didn’t matter if they were almost a friend to them like Brokenstar or Trembleclover.
They all had to go.
Then, they heard an agonized sob. “Mom..?” Cried out a voice.
They looked down at their paws to see Goosesting, writhing in pain. Deathberry seeds scattered across the medicine den. Their own son was killed by their paws in their blind rage. Starclan, what were they doing?
They had killed her own son, once a kit that they lulled to sleep with stories, now a dead warrior. They didn’t know why he made such a difference compared to all the others they watched grow up only to be killed by their paws, but they broke.
Days went by slowly, Butterflywing not even caring to take on an apprentice. Their surroundings felt like nothing but fuzz. Even when their daughter became leader, they struggled to cheer louder than the crowd.
They had hoped they would go out in a blaze of glory, perhaps fighting against an executioner. But instead, they laid in Brookclan territory, a copperhead’s fangs sinking into their leg as the poison took hold.
‘How ironic,’ was their last thought as they slipped away.
Additional Information:
--Submission by @umbranoxs
--Lifegen kitty! (Clangen mod).
Umbran: "I somehow managed to kill the leader as a kit and it remains my proudest achievement."
--They loved Rookpelt more than anything. Dude went “I can fix him” and it somehow worked.
--Rookpelt is considering trying to sneak into the Dark Forest just to be with them--He was a loner himself in life, and just wanted to befriend Butterfly for the longest time.
--Their birth name was ‘Flicker’, but they were renamed to Butterflykit for their four ears. I DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE.
--Embodiment of the “Looks like a Cinnamon Roll, Will Kill You” meme.
--Only cats they regret killing are Goosesting and kind of Beaverseeker. Beaverseeker was an impulse kill that made them go “why did I do that” while Goosesting was completely unintentional, they were just blinded by rage and wanted everyone else to go.
--Probably has caused Brookclan to nearly get wiped out for seasons before being able to recover. No they do not regret it.
--Umbran: "I normally hate making characters with airbrushed markings in their designs, so she's a bit of a step out of the norm for me." She looks great!

Dark Forest Resident: Nightpond
Tumblr media
Aliases / Nicknames: ??
Gender: she-cat
Sexuality: lesbian
Family: unnamed mother, unnamed ShadowClan father, Sparrowshade (sister)
Other Relations: unnamed mentor, Redleaf (apprentice)
Clan: SkyClan
Rank: warrior (formerly), medicine cat
Characteristics: great at hiding her true intentions and feelings, will go far to achieve justice, can run with the speed of a hare and among the branches of trees just as fast, very lithe but not at all lacking in muscle
Murder Motive: justice
Number of Victims: 3
Number of Murders: 3
Murder Method: poisoning
Known Victims: Stemdusk, unnamed she-cat, unnamed tom
Victim Profile: abusive mentors, abusive fathers
Cause of Death: infection via rat bite
Cautionary Tale: do not harm anyone undeserving of your wrath or who needs you to guide them with love and patience, for you will face pain you cannot chase away and know fear you're too weak to fight
Story:
She had never wanted to become a medicine cat, but Nightpond knew now that it was the most important decision she had ever made in her life.
She had been a warrior first, and a good one at that. She was a skilled hunter and brave fighter, and it didn't bother her in the slightest that she wouldn't settle down with a mate and have kits. She flirted with some of the other she-cats every now and again, but she never saw it going further than that, and the toms....well, they were out of the question.
Then Sparrowshade had died quite suddenly after falling from a branch that had been broken during a storm the previous night. Her mentor said that it was risky, but she had been reaching for precious herbs. She risked and gave her life so that her Clanmates could be safe.
The mentor in question was elderly. All of the apprentices were far in their training, and there were no kits or expecting queens in the nursery. Nightpond took it upon herself to train as the new medicine cat, in order to keep her Clanmates safe, as her sister had so dearly wanted.
It was little things at first, that's how she noticed them.
Some apprentices with bruises or sprains more harsh or frequent than others. Mentors who were impatient for them to heal so that they could get back to training.
Mentors who were concerned so little.
Apprentices who lied so often.
"I tripped."
"I did the wrong move while training, it's my fault."
"He's teaching me how to be better."
Nightpond could sense the lies as easily as if they were thrown at her face. But she needed to see for herself. So when a particular mentor and apprentice, Stemdusk and Conepaw, left the camp to train, Nightpond followed them.
She stuck to them like a second shadow, watching from above in the shelter of the trees.
When they stopped, so did she. And when the claws swung, her blood boiled.
She immediately brought the issue to her leader's attention, but Hollystar refused to believe that there was anything wrong with 'a mentor teaching his apprentice in a way he sees fit,' and that if Conepaw never mentioned a problem, then there must not be one.
Nightpond saw no other option. And frankly, she wanted to see that mutt suffer.
Lucky her that Stemdusk was a frequent visitor as well, perhaps the only bit of luck in this whole situation. He was prone to anger and had a "tough it out" mentality that had him visiting the medicine den long after he should because his paw pad had shockingly become infected when he chose to deal with a thorn himself, among similar things.
It took great restraint for her not to end him there and then, but she had to be smart about the way she was doing this. So little by little, visit by more frequent visit, she gave him herbs with a speck of something else, covered his wounds with a poultice that had a pinch of stinging nettle that would have his injuries burn and make him hiss in pain--which was probably embarrassing for a 'pain is nothing' tom like him.
He got sicker and sicker, until finally he was reduced to a sweaty pile of wet fur, and Conepaw got to train with Briarroot, a much kinder young tom.
No one would question if he died in the night, but Nightpond wouldn't let him go so easily. She made sure that he was conscious and aware when it happened, because she was going to tell him exactly what she had been doing and exactly why.
When she did, he was furious. He tried to lunge at her, hissing and spitting-- tried to. He had only nudged his body forward a few whiskers and let out a sound that more closely resembled a groan.
He was the weak one now, mercy in the paws of someone who enjoyed hurting him. Upsetting, wasn't it?
She didn't need to bother with more herbs. That felt too kind. Instead, she bunched up the extra bits of moss that lined his nest and forced his muzzle against it, holding it up with one paw and holding his struggling head in place with the other.
When she was sure he was dead, she wailed the distressing news, and purred as Briarroot was made Conepaw's official mentor.
It was the first situation of a few. It wasn't for many moons--perhaps three years--before a similar situation occurred. Nightpond repeated the process, this time a little faster with some more nightshade in the pulps.
Then it was another several years before a different, but still similar, abuse had to be dealt with. It was a father this time. He pressured his kits into weaning before they were ready so that he--she presumes--could brag about their early development.
When they were sick and needed her care, he would insist that they only had a sniffle and that they could tough it out. Eager to please him, the kits would agree and would refuse to take the needed medication. Fine. He thought illness wasn't so important? Then he would suffer for even longer.
Nightpond didn't know if StarClan would accept her. Quite bluntly, she didn't give a rat's tail. She did was she had to do. She made those awful toms suffer, and she didn't regret it one bit.
When it turned out that StarClan condemned her actions and sent Redleaf a vision to announce it to the Clan, she made sure they all knew why she did what she did. She wasn't afraid of punishment, she was dying anyways.
So with her last bit of energy, she eyed every cat in her Clan and warned them of the punishment they shall face if they chose to follow in the steps of her victims.
Additional Information:
--Another song resident! This one is song #15 on my playlist, as requested by @starfalcon555
This song is "I Know Your Secrets" by Liv Ash and Tommee Profitt (lyrics here).
--Stemdusk was a lot like Thistleclaw in terms of mentoring.
--The second situation was probably a female mentor, and her death was quicker because Nightpond had a sliver of experience and was more confident in her ability to keep the murder secret while freeing the apprentice faster (if she got caught, then there was a huge possibility the apprentices aren't going to be saved).
--I really like the idea of her story being passed and either by simple twisting to make it more fantasy-like or by alterations from generation to generation, she becomes a cryptid watching the training grounds and/or nursery to make sure that the adults never step out of line, an unseen figure that can and will inflict you with terrible wounds in the blink of an eye with claws like stinging nettle that will make your blood burn and/or cover the fresh wounds with infection.
--I hope this is comprehensible, it's 4:00AM.

So. Warriors AU for Saeyoung and his MC.
*pulls up a chair* 😻
Ohohoho, you have come to the right place for that particular brainrot! I had my own warrior cats au for mm for several years now, I just never really shared it 'cause it's super self-indulgent and I suck at writing cats interacting with each other organically. So! Gonna share the basics of my storyline, and how it could go, as well as introduce you to our lovable cast in their kitty forms.
I honestly see the story playing out similarly to the very first arc of warriors cats, as in, mc is an outsider that gets thrust into the clanlife and has to figure themselves out as they adjust to this change. It also allows for the reader to really immerse themselves into the story without feeling confused since you're experiencing this new world together with the protagonist! If we're talking romance with Saeyoung-kitty, a kittypet mc is a very neat idea! It gives a very fun contrast to these two as they slowly get to know each other throughout the story. Saeyoung had a rough life... the scars on his fluffy red pelt are a good proof of that. But mc? They've lived their entire life up until this point being loved and pampered by their two-legs. Still, they've always dreamed of something more... like a prophesy they had to fulfill. And the kindness their two-legs have given them became the reason behind mc's determination to see good in every cat they meet.
Similarly to the casual story in mm, mc gets lured into the forest by a mysterious white tomcat... promising them a life of excitement and adventure. But, as they walk further and further into the dense forest, it becomes harder and harder to make out their surroundings, and it doesn't take long for the unknown cat to seemingly disappear into the darkness like a ghost (which is rather impressive considering his white pelt). Mc is left scared and lost, surrounded by unfamiliar scents and sounds. It's hard to know your way around the forest! Warrior apprentices take moons to learn that skill. They stumble through the forest underbrush, meowing for the white tomcat to come back, but oh no! It looks like they stumbled right into a fox den! It's a good thing their horrified yowl attracts the attention of the nearby patrol. A flash of red flashes before mc's eyes and suddenly there's another cat! They throw themselves fiercely at the fox, clawing at its muzzle until it gives up and scatters away, yapping and tucking its tail in between its legs. And wouldn't you know, that's none other than Saeyoung! Long story short, that's how mc ends up in Sunclan (RFA). While it's rare to accept a kittypet into a clan... they do need more warriors in their ranks to keep themselves safe and fed. Besides, it seems like their leader is rather adamant on mc becoming their newest member. I wonder why...?
With that small intro into the story out of the way, here is our entire gang and their respective descriptions! I already have saved up cats I use for them in clangen, so I will use them as an example of their appearance. If any of you are interested in playing with your own warriors cats clans, check out an amazing fanmade game project by @/officialclangen!
Saeyoung:
Saeyoung is the deputy of Sunclan named Swiftclaw, honoring his high skill in battle and his deep loyalty to his clan. Oddly enough, while every cat in the clan respects him deeply, he doesn't seem that eager to become leader one day. In fact, he tends to keep a very low profile at gatherings, sitting tucked away in the shadows and grooming his pelt, as if he's trying to hide his appearance from other cats as much as possible. Rumors say that the only reason Swiftclaw has become deputy of Sunclan in the first place is because of a grave secret he and his leader share. What is that secret, you may ask? Who knows. Swiftclaw is a mysterious cat without any known blood relatives, although he considers his leader to be his adoptive father.
Tumblr media
Yoosung:
Yoosung is a young medicine cat named Cloverberry after his boundless energy and willingness to help every cat in need. He had to become a full medicine cat without fully completing his training once his former mentor, who had also been his beloved cousin, mysteriously disappeared. Cloverberry is a bit clumsy on his paws, but he is determined to keep his clan safe and healthy. It's what his mentor would have wanted for them... So, despite his grudge against their apathetic leader, he does his best to honor his mentor's legacy and tend to every cat in need with all the care they deserve. He's one of the first cats to fully accept mc into the clan and he's eager to help them adjust, as well as teach them about the nature of Starclan.
Tumblr media
Zen:
Zen is a beautiful tomcat named Echoblossom, honoring his charisma and determination. He's a well-trained warrior who has joined Sunclan after escaping from his cruel two-legs in his former home. Despite being a kittypet, his skills in hunting and battle are undeniable and he has earned himself a respectable reputation both among his classmates as well as in other clans. He has been suggested for the role of the deputy once, but he denied it, stating that he couldn't imagine anyone protecting their clan better than Swiftclaw. Echoblossom is warm and friendly towards mc once they join the clan, since they both come from a past of kittypet life, although their experiences are quite different. He's a charismatic and flirty tomcat who can easily fool any opponent with a sway of his tail and a quiet purr that will leave his rival utterly flabbergasted.
Tumblr media
Jaehee:
Jaehee is a diligent warrior named Featherbreeze after her coolheadedness in the face of danger and her responsible approach to her duties. She's often the voice of reason amidst a recent conflict and she keeps a close eye on the state of the camp, making sure that everything's in order. It'll take her some time to warm up to mc, as she doesn't believe that a coddled kittypet like them will even survive the next Leaf Bare, but once she sees how much more livelier her clanmates have become with their arrival... she'll keep an open mind. She's also the one tasked with mentoring mc through their adjustment to their new clan life, as she's a naturally great teacher and has a very patient attitude. Don't let her quiet demeanor fool you, though. She's one of the fiercest warriors in battle, and once took on a badger solo!
Tumblr media
Jumin:
Jumin is a respectable mediator named Crowfur, honoring his intelligence and devotion to his clan. In case this sounds confusing, mediator is a fairly new role cats can take up in the clans in the newest arcs! Mediators are tasked with solving disagreements, disputes and unjust situations between other cats, regardless whether these are happening between their own clanmates, or with other clans. In other words, mediator is a role that takes responsibility on keeping the clan just and peaceful. Although, the last few moons, Crowfur took on a far more important role in his clan. Ever since the disappearance of their former medicine cat, who has also been their leader's beloved mate, Crowfur acts as a temporary leader figure in the clan, both because he wants their leader to grieve in peace and because he doesn't want to see his clan in disarray. He's a very responsible and coolheaded cat who will ensure his clan's safety no matter what. While he may come off as cold, he's fiercely loyal and is willing to lend a paw to any cat who, in his eyes, needs to be reassured.
Tumblr media
Jihyun:
Jihyun is the current leader of Sunclan named Miststar after his caring nature and close connection to Starclan. Formerly, he was known as a just and kind leader who was always involved in his clanmate's affairs and kept a good peace between other clans, no matter how tough the seasons would get. However, after the disappearance of his beloved mate and an unfortunate accident that left his eyesight forever damaged, he's been spending most of his time either curled up in his den or wandering the territory where no one can guess where he is. This left Sunclan feeling distant and disappointed in their leader, although there are many cats who still keep their faith in Miststar and his abilities. Miststar was formerly a kittypet, just like mc and Echoblossom, which is why he is so willing to give a chance to other cats who want to escape from their former lives. Not much is known about this cat, and those who are still close to him, refuse to share any of his secrets. There are rumors that Miststar had made enemies with a vicious group of rogues who are planning on attacking the clans... But, that sounds like nothing but mousedung, right? And are those burn marks on his pawpads? What could have caused those to appear?
Tumblr media
Rika:
Rika is the leader of an outsider clan by the name of 'Moonclan'. Although she calls herself a leader, she hasn't been granted her 9 lives by Starclan, and her clan is not considered as an accepted part of the rest of the clans. She named herself Duskstar, promising to the inky sky above that her rule will bring an end to the scorching sun that only hurts the lives of countless of innocent cats. Formerly a medicine cat of another clan, she has been tormented all of her life by being rejected by Starclan. Despite her willingness to help those in need, Starclan denied her time and time again, refusing to communicate with her and not granting her any visions a proper medicine cat is supposed to experience. She's been ostracized from her former clan for her refusal to give up her medicine cat position, and that's how she first met Miststar... a cat she eventually fell in love with. She became a well-loved medicine cat in Sunclan despite her inability to communicate with Starclan. Still, her resentment for the starry cats above continued to grow overtime, until it started to harm her relationship with Miststar. She was envious of him. He was blessed by Starclan from kithood, often telling her stories of his wonderful endeavors with their ancestors. It wasn't fair. Nobody knows what happened between these two mates... However, Duskstar holds no love for Miststar any longer. Her goal is to free the clans from the cruel paws of Starclan and the rules they install onto every kit being born inside any of the clans. Moonclan consists of rogues, former kittypets, abandoned kits, ostracized warriors and loners - those who are rejected and shunned by Starclan as undeserving of their blessings, just like Duskstar once was. But, while her goal is righteous... is truly the right thing to do?

Saeran (Unknown):
Saeran is the second cat in command of Moonclan, a small scrawny tomcat named Tatteredheart, a name given to him by Duskstar herself to always remind him of the way his destiny wronged him. He's a battered and heavily scarred tomcat who's fiercely loyal to his leader. He's the one that leads mc into Sunclan's territory and he is going to keep an eye on them throughout their stay. Tatteredheart will visit mc in late hours of the night, learning about any important affairs inside of the clan and instructing them on what to do next. It's easy to convince an oblivious kittypet with a heart of gold that they're doing a good thing, and it's not like he's lying to them! But, he has a personal grudge against Swiftclaw and Miststar... and he is not going to be pleased to find that his pawn seems to be courting that traitorous deputy of Sunclan. But, why does he hate Swiftclaw this much? And where did he get all of these horrible scars? Mc will have to find that out themselves. A horrible secret is brewing right underneath their nose, they just have to put the clues together and find it.

Vanderwood:
Vanderwood is a battlescarred rogue named Boulder. They seem to be very well acquainted with Swiftclaw for some reason, to the point where the deputy of Sunclan won't mind them strolling through the territory of his clan and snacking on a squirrel or two. These two will meet up occasionally where none of the other clanmates are there to see them... But, nobody knows why. Boulder is a very skilled and smart fighter, though, and their claws will definitely come in handy once the peaceful clan life that Sunclan has established for itself will inevitably be put in danger. (Couldn't put a pic for them 'cause of tumblr's limit for pics but Vandy is a large dark brown tabby!)
Bonus round for my oc's, 'cause hey, if I'm going all in, why hold back!? :D
Natasha:
Natasha is a former loner named Flowerpelt. She takes on a role that is similar to a traditional medicine cat in Moonclan, although she does her best to follow the strict rules of Duskstar and not mention a thing about Starclan or medicine cats. She is someone who lacks skills or determination in battle, but is quick on her paws and observant enough to notice any cat limping or hissing in pain after an intense sparring session. Her knowledge in herbs is completely self-taught, and she has no concrete knowledge on the traditional clan life, or why is it as bad as Duskstar says... Although, secretly, she wishes things could be more peaceful, so that no cat had to be hurt, even if it's for the greater good. Especially as she applies a new compression made up of bindwind onto Tatteredheart's flank, purring softly to ease his pain. She could be a good ally for mc, should they ever meet.

Chaewon:
Chaewon is a fierce battlescarred cat named Smokefur, a name she chose for herself after successfully defeating a fox solo to prove herself. She's a former rogue who has met Duskstar back when she was still Sunclan's medicine cat. She's an experienced and vicious battle cat who's loyal to Duskstar almost to a fault. She's often the one cat tasked with dirty work like punishing traitors or training new recruits. While it may seem like there's nothing to her but sharp claws and fangs, it's only once the night falls and the rest of their members are tucked neatly in their respective nests, when Smokefur can be seen curled up protectively around Duskstar, licking her golden fur clean and purring so loud almost her whole body vibrates.
