Ruby releases comeback solo single “The Spring″
Lipstick’s Ruby has made her solo comeback with a new single! Ruby last met with fans as a solo artist last October when she released her first solo mini-album Epilogue and has recently finished promotions for Lipstick’s latest comeback “Ticket.” Ruby’s newest release, “The Spring”, is a return to form, showing similarities to her solo debut last year, “Hopefully Sky”. “The Spring” is a folk-tinged mid-tempo acoustic track and takes on a more melancholy tone lyrically than Ruby’s last spring release, as she laments the loneliness and jealousy she feels with the coming of spring and the couples she notices around her. In the music video, Ruby plays a lonely taxi driver in the music video. Ruby wrote the song’s lyrics and is also credited as one of the composers. She will be promoting the song on music shows for two weeks.

Ruby releases first solo mini-album “Epilogue″
Lipstick’s Ruby has released her first ever solo album! Ruby made her solo debut earlier this year with the release of “Hopefully Sky” and has since also released her first solo Portal song “Being There” through BC’s wing of the Portal digital music project. Coming off of the end of her run playing Elle Woods in Legally Blonde The Musical, Ruby has made her first solo comeback in the form of a mini-album titled Epilogue.
Epilogue is a five-track mini-album consisting of ballads that highlight Ruby’s powerful vocals and emotional delivery. Overall, the track list is largely piano-driven, though it ends with the more rock-tinged “Timeless”, which includes electric guitar. As the title eludes to, the album has a lyrical sense of ending to it brought about by the number of heartbreak and break-up songs in the track list, all produced to put the ear’s focus on Ruby’s voice instead of modern electronic production tricks or beat drops. Several other idols appear in the album’s credits, including Knight’s Duri as the lyricist of “Wasted” and Element’s Sun as the lyricist and composer of “Lonely”. Sun also helped to produce “Lonely” and “Timeless”, the latter of which he is credited as one of the composers of, alongside CHARM’s Andy. CHARM’s Dai helped to write and compose “The Hardest Work” while Unity’s Soo helped to write and compose “Unacceptable”.
“Wasted”, the first track on the mini-album, is also the mini-album’s single. The music video stars Lipstick’s Hyeju and Element’s Sun. Ruby will be promoting "Wasted” for three weeks on music shows and “Unacceptable” will be staged as an auxiliary performance for the first week of promotions.
The track list and notable song credits can be found below.
TRACK LIST
Wasted (lyrics by Duri)
Lonely (lyrics, composition, and partial production by Sun)
The Hardest Work (partial lyrics and partial composition by Dai)
Unacceptable (partial lyrics and partial composition by Soo)
Timeless (partial composition by Andy and Sun, partial production by Sun)

Ruby & Dai release BC Portal song “Happening”
Lipstick’s Ruby and CHARM’s Dai have collaborated to release a new single through BC Entertainment’s wing of the Portal digital music project. The two previously collaborated when Ruby featured on “For You Now” off of Dai’s Self-Portrait mini-album last September. “Happening” is a bittersweet guitar-driven track about the end of a relationship, turning what once could have been a “happy ending” into a brief, ill-fated “happening”. Ruby and Dai both appear in the music video, though they seem to exist in different realms with Dai’s scenes centered around a train and Ruby’s centered around a diner.

Lipstick’s Ruby and Element’s Sun star in CF for TikTok
Lipstick’s Ruby and Element’s Sun star in a CF for social media brand TikTok, released today. The app features an algorithm that tailors a “For You” page of 15 second to 1 minute videos based on your interests. This is Ruby’s first CF outside of Lipstick since their debut in 2012, while Sun has featured in several CFs, including work with Ruby’s group member Hyeju.
In the CF, while walking along the street together, the pair come across a TikTok store, and excitedly enter to use their surroundings to film videos for the app. Special effects magic mimics the plentiful filters available on the app, as the two magically change clothes and play games together, all over a short ditty in the background, featuring the brand’s name on repeat.

Earlier today it was confirmed that Minah has been cast in the leading role of Elle Woods in an upcoming production of the popular musical Legally Blonde.
Legally Blonde is based on the 2001 American comedy movie and novel with the same name. The musical tells the story of sorority girl Elle Woods that tries to win back her ex-boyfriend’s affection by attending Harvard Law School and in the process overcomes many stereotypes people have towards blondes.
