A/N: Omg another draft I'm on a roll imao, hope you like it! Also, just to clarify, Aaliyah and Raleigh are actually half-siblings. It's not super relevant to this fic but I thought I would point it out

"Does it always take you this long to send a text message, Ral?"

Raleigh practically jumped at her sister's sudden appearance behind him. "What the hell, Liya?!" She chuckled and handed him a glass of apple cider.

"As someone who works for the FBI," Raleigh rolled his eyes before Aaliyah could finish her sentence, which earned him a slap on the shoulder. "AHEM! Roll your eyes at me again and see what happens."

"Cute, is that what all FBI agents say? Or is it just insufferable sisters who never shut up about being an agent," he said, casually shielding the screen from her.

"I was actually going to say you're horrible at being sneaky. Like anyone could see you nervously attempting to text her from a mile away. You usually only take a few seconds to reply to texts."

"Okay, Genius," He mumbled, knowing it wasn't a great insult if it was technically true.

Raleigh sighed and invited her to sit next to him. She settled herself onto the couch and rested her head on her palm. "Why are you so jumpy? Are you asking her out on a first date or something?"

"I wouldn't say first date..."

Aaliyah gasps dramatically. "Raleigh Bartholomew Carrera!"

"How are your fake middle names only getting worse-"

"You're falling in love with your fake girlfriend!" she says uncharacteristically excitedly. She clapped her hands like an eager child who was given candy. "What's her name again?"

"Wouldn't you like to know?" he asks sarcastically.

"...Yes Ral, that's why I'm asking," Aaliyah sighed, her eyebrows furrowed as she thinks. "Wait! It's the One in a Million winner...something Katz? She was incredible."

Destiny.

"Shocking. You guessed who it was by using the internet," he scoffed.

"Destiny!" she called out, ignoring his tone. "Maybe it was fate you were both meant to be in love." She gently elbowed him. Raleigh didn't like getting his hopes up, but the fact that his own sister was being so optimistic about his relationship which she never was had to mean something, right?

"We have to go on another fake date before some award show and I remembered she said she's always wanted to go to an opera."

Aaliyah groaned. "Then take her to the opera, Ral! You don't need to overthink that part of the date right now. You already know her and what she likes and from the way you describe her, I'm 100% sure she likes you back. Now focus on being a good guy. I could see the headlines now: Raleigh Carrera's New Relationship Shows Operatunity."

"Since when do you care about my public image?"

"I don't. I care about your publisher not dying of stress," she comments, casually stealing the phone from him. "You know what? I'm going to handle this, just stay back until I get your final text approval."

"Whatever." Aaliyah smiles and furiously texts away at what she considers a perfect response. Raleigh leans back and sips the cold apple cider and suppresses a laugh. It's been a while since he's last cared this much about impressing a fake girlfriend. Or making sure they eventually end things on a good note.

Hopefully, he doesn't mess it up.

Four Drinks | F!Raleigh x MC (Talia Lewis)

A/N: This fic just kinda… happened. Sorry if there are any grammatical errors, this was written in a very short period of time and English is not my first language.

It was long over.

Raleigh was inside a bar, three empty shots of tequila in front of her, and one in her hand. Her surroundings began spinning, the ground beneath her was not enough to keep her steady.

It was already a month since they broke up.

Their relationship was supposed to fake. Then fake feelings turned out to be true. She was afraid at first, afraid that she was already catching feelings as how Talia phrased it. Raleigh had the reputation of a heart breaker and a player, but when it came to Talia, it was different. It was like she set her aflame every time their eyes meet, like her heart would burst out every time they touch. It wasn’t anything like what she had before. Her relationship with Talia was entirely a new feeling for her. That was why she was afraid. She was afraid that she would only break Talia’s heart.

And she did.

The first months of their real relationship was easy for the both of them. They were fake dating before, the only thing that changed was they were not pretending anymore. As time pass by, their relationship went through rough patches, as all couples did. They fought, but they always resolved it before the dawn comes. But as time continues to fly, things started to change. Before, they had the time for each other, but now, they’re barely together anymore, with Raleigh working on her new album and Talia who just finished her tour. And when they would fight, unlike before, Talia would walk out and she wouldn’t return until tomorrow. They would fight, she’d walk out, and again and again. 

They’ve changed. 

But what happened last month was different. Raleigh was coming home from recording for her new album. She was tired and all she wanted to do was sleep. Talia sensed it and wrapped her arms around Raleigh to ease some of the tension, but she wasn’t in the mood for anything. That was when she snapped at her. 

“Jesus Christ! Stop being so clingy and let me sleep” Raleigh said as she pushed her away.

“The hell is wrong with you?” Talia asked, outraged by Raleigh’s sudden lashing out.

“I told you, I’m tired. Now, won’t you shut up so I can rest now?”

She saw a tear falling down Talia’s cheek, before her face harden with resolve.

“Fine. I’m fucking tired too.”

Talia got up stood up from the bed and walked out.

This time, she never came home.

Raleigh tried calling her but she wouldn’t answer. She tried going to her house to apologize but she would not open the door. The next time they met was a week after. Talia was the front of her door. At first, Raleigh thought that she was just drunk, that she was just imagining seeing her. 

“Raleigh.”

“Talia!” her voice was slurred from the alcohol. “Where have you been? I thought that you’re not coming home anymore”

She noticed how Talia looked away from her. “No, I’m not. I… I’m just getting my stuff”

“What?”

Talia blinked back her tears. “I can’t do this anymore, Raleigh. All we do is fight, again and again. I...I think it’s best for the both of us if we break up”

 “I…” Raleigh was stunned. She cannot move or speak, or even form a coherent thought.

“I’m going to pack my stuff now, if you don’t mind”

It was already a month since she fucked up. Funny how her wounds feel like it was still bleeding. Funny how she, the heart breaker got her own heart broken. Now, she was celebrating the success of the release of her new album (one of the things which got in the way of their relationship) getting wasted, when she had nothing else to do, and no one else to celebrate with.

She downed her fourth shot of tequila. 

Then, she saw a very familiar figure with a straw-blonde hair. But maybe it was just the alcohol. She had four drinks and she was wasted.  But maybe four drinks would be enough to see her again, to taste her lips against her very own. Maybe it would be enough to feel her own body pressed against hers. 

Maybe four drinks would be enough to be hers again, even if it was just all in her head.

So, in short, to soothe my grief for the end of Platinum which was totally a godtier book, Raleigh and Rachel (MC) reminisced the first time they met and Raleigh shares a little secret.

"Do you remember when we first met?"

Rachel asked out of the blue as Raleigh lazily played with her hair. It had been a while since they had the chance to enjoy a lazy morning in bed as tours, tv interviews and recording sessions kept both of them busy and apart for a while. But there was nothing better for Raleigh than indulging in bed with the familiar and comforting warmth of Rachel's body at her side and to Rachel waking up to find Raleigh's tattooed arms protectively draped around her waist was the definition of happiness.

"Well good morning to you too, nena, and...should I be offended by the subtle implication that I could have forgotten it?" Raleigh teased, her voice still a bit groggy from sleep.

"I'm not saying that you forgot, I just ask-"

"How could I ever forget the day I met the one and only girl who didn't even know who I am, I mean me, Raleigh Carrera?" 

Rachel playfully punched her arm, trying and failing to refrain laughter.

"O c'mon, that's not true! I knew who Raleigh Carrera is! I just didn't recognize you straight away!"

"Yeah, which is weird. Oh wait, does it mean you're weird?"

"I'm not!" Rachel protested, rising to sit. "Am I, Big Tease with a Cocky Smile?"

Raleigh grinned and grazed the singer's arm with a finger.

"Nah, you're not...you were just obsessed with Avery Wilshere" she added, sticking out her tongue.

Rachel rolled her eyes but a smile formed on her lips. Raleigh always knew how to draw a smile on her face.

"Fine, I guess a bit awkward back then, but..." she conceded before leaning back down to her girlfriend. "...but in the end I think I made clear what celebrity I want to be with, didn't I?"

She sealed her words with a deep kiss, her lips still smiling over Raleigh's. When they parted the R&B Queen looked fondly into her eyes as a winning sly grin curled her lips.

"I warned you I was a bad influence"

"Not quite as bad as you think though, babe" Rachel noted: it was amusingly endearing how Raleigh kept calling herself a bad girl after she showed her the soft and caring side she hid deep inside her.

Raleigh raised an eyebrow to her in a display of amused skepticism. Then, as if those words echoed as a personal challenge to her, she wrapped her arms around her waist and in a swift move she rolled Rachel over. When her back hit the mattress, the girl shrieked before bursting into laughter again.

"Okay, I take it back" she giggled.

"You better: how did you dare question my bad reputation?" Raleigh asked, squeezing Rachel's side, full knowing that hitting that ticklish spot would make her squirm.

And she did. It didn't take long before she begged the Puertorican star to stop. When she finally caught her breath again, she spoke again.

"I don't question your bad reputation, you will always be my bad girl. What I meant is that I love all of you. Your bad, wild side and your soft and sweet one equally. I love you, Raleigh"

The sly playfulness on Raleigh's face immediately disappeared, melting into tenderness and devotion. This time she even refused to hide her face not caring if Rachel, and Rachel only, would see the pink coloring her cheeks. She stared deeply and fondly into Rachel's eyes and gently caressed her face. The young woman leaned to the touch and a comfotrable silence settled as Raleigh tried to find the right words to express what she wanted to tell. What she needed to tell.

When she finally did, she flashed Rachel a shy smile and spoke again:

"Do you know when I realized you were the one?"

"No, you never told me. When did you know?" the girl answers in her softest voice, placing a kiss on Raleigh's wrist.

The Puertorican singer bit her lip before continuing.

"Do you remember that time we bumped into each other in the backstage of One In A Million? And you were so surprised that I don't enjoy being famous much?"

"Yes, I do recall that moment actually" Rachel nodded after a moment.

"It was...what you said next. I mean, I didn't realize it at that very moment but you know, later, when we got closer thanks to that fake relationship stunt. When I started catching feelings for you I found myself thinking back to that conversation. Don't even know why but it got stuck in my head and didn't go away. So one day I was traveling to the studio to have a meeting with my agent and a message from Fiona reminded me of our fake date for the night and...again, I don't why but your words echoed in my head and I couldn't think of anything else for the whole day. I was probably distracted that night, you might have thought I was playing distant and cold but the truth I kept thinking of when you said that I needed-"

"...someone to keep you grounded" Rachel completed, smiling fondly.

Raleigh was caught off guard by the interruption but after a moment smiled softly back at her girl.

"Exactly. Nobody has ever told me that. Ever, since I moved here, since I became Raleigh Carrera. And it was so...shocking at first hearing you saying that as if it was the most natural thing to say. It is, it was actually and it was true...but it was also completely new to me. And this beautiful girl out of nowhere just came by and figured me out as if she knew me for ages. I may not have fallen in love with you at first sight but you had my curiosity and my attention very soon. You...looking back, it's crazy but it's almost like you had always had the key to uncover what I hide to the world or" -a tender laughed escaped her- "...or as if those amazing glasses of yours could see right through me from the start"

"Didn't I mention that my glasses are magic?" Rachel giggled even if she could feel a lump forming in her throat at Raleigh's confession.

"Nice try but I'm sad to inform you that they're not, nena. Good news: you look hot wearing them no matter what" Raleigh pecked her cheek. "But now let me finish. I'm trying to be serious here!"

Rachel laughed and pretended to zip her lips.

"Good girl" Raleigh giggled before composing herself again. When she did her voice was the sweetest sound Rachel had ever heard:

"Everyone wants to know how it is to be around Raleigh Carrera, what wild stunt she will pull this time...you didn't give a damn about it. The only thing you wanted to know was who I was. Who Raleigh truly was beneath that bad girl persona. I saw it in your eyes when you looked at me...you scared me, I'm not used to this but I should have known- " - she took a deep breath and smiled down at Rachel - "I guess I should have known that you were special from the very beginning. I should have known that it was always you, nena."

Before tears could stream down her face, Rachel propped herself up and pulled Raleigh in for another kiss that could hopefully convey all her feelings for the woman she loved. When she couldn't contain tears anymore she buried her head in the crook of her neck and wrapped her arms around her waist, making the two of them lose balance and fall back to the mattress.

"Hey, no need to cry, Rachel!" Raleigh smiled holding her close.

"Good tears, babe. These are good tears, no need to worry" Rachel sniffled. "Thank you so much for sharing this...I...can we stay like this a bit longer?"

"Of course, I'm not going nowhere" Raleigh reassured her, placing a kiss on the crown of the her head.

"Thanks a lot"

"No need to thank me. Oh and nena?"

"Yes?"

"...Te amo"

Raleigh x mc drabble request for the talented and sweet @omgjasminesimone. This one hints at n*fw.

The whole night had been nothing but glances stolen from across the room and tender touches exchanged in passing. A sea of people too enraptured with their own enjoyment that those looks went unnoticed by all but the two lovers.

What had started as a publicity ploy by their two teams had quickly become something more; something much deeper. Kisses exchanged publicly for the cameras were matched by those same kisses shared later behind closed doors. For practice they told each other. They have to be able to sell it to the public. Dinners eaten in open air restaurants where anyone could watch them feeding each other and whispering softly into each other’s ears were matched by more and more meals eaten in their homes. For a break from the mundane they had told themselves.

All those lies sold to the press that turned around and sold sensationalized versions to the public added up and were only compounded by the lies they told themselves. So much had changed that when her people said it was time to put an end to the relationships the two continued those closed door lies for a time until their teams put a stop to it. Then they continued as just friends. Eventually it proved too difficult for them and they ended it.

Lie upon lie upon lie drove them to extremes; both trying desperately to convince themselves and the world they weren’t still together. What had started as fake became real and threatened to destroy them both.

Raleigh scratched a yacht that didn’t even belong to her against yet another that she didn’t own. “At least it’s just a scratch and not like that Boston Harbor incident,” she had smirked at the press. “Guess I’ll have to do better next time.

Xiomara had been going out less and less and spent most of her time in her room writing down lyrics. She had googled that Boston incident at was shocked to see Raleigh had racked up nearly half a million in damages to the boats and another 2 million in damage to the actual harbor.

Fiona spoke to both separately and had it was time they got their their lives back together and started acting like adults. Raleigh asked her to define adult and then adult behavior before agreeing to act like her childish self. Xiomara had rolled her eyes and promised to make an appearance or two and that is what had led her to this event.

Raleigh had shot her a text, probably a drunk one, telling Xiomara that the whole affair was stupid and pointless and screw publicist; they should do whatever the hell they wanted. Xiomara had dismissed it with a text of her own joking that if that’s how Raleigh really felt then she’d meet her backstage after her performance at the event.

When she slipped into her dressing room after her performance to change she never expected to actually find Raleigh there but somehow she was still disappointed at finding an empty room.
