#fable smp ender language

thinking so many thoughts about ender at the moment . disco i blame you entirely /lh /pos

thinking about how ender as a language system would be written as cursive, because it is not a very easy language to write by hand since a lot of the letters require you to take your hand off the page, which people do not enjoy doing very much - as evident by cursive existing in latin scripts and even in others like russian. but in ender it is extremely difficult to intuitively connect the letters to each other, especially the letters with underscores beneath them: ⊑ ⍜ ⎐ ⍙ and other letters with gaps in them like ⏚ they don't fit into the quick, keeping the pen on paper that is typically prefered with cursive

so i set out to try and make it cursive, to do that you would need to change some of the letters, in the same way they're changed in english to fit how we write cursive, but then i got extremely sidetracked about how the language of ender would have developed in fable smp and also the reasoning behind it not having capital letters

i dont fully remember the order of mortal creation in fable smp, but in my mind of minds it makes the most sense to be fable > enderian > netherum, with alerion obviously never creating his own mortals, instead having space for the deceased souls from all other realms. and to me it makes the most sense for humans to develop more agriculturally, as in the barren landscapes they had to find their ways to survive and develop farming etc. whereas i think in the end, with the abundance of food in the form of chorus fruit, which i imagine they also get their hydration from (of course if they even need hydration), they don't have much else to work with, so i would imagine enderian's people would start devoloping intellectually much faster rather than agriculturally- all this meaning i think they created a writing system first, as you can see in many places in ender some of them are so similar to english script, namely ⏃ ⎎ ⟟ ⋔ ⋏ ⍜ (A F I M N O) you can really see how these could over a couple hundred years evolve into the common script.

this led me onto the thought of "how did common then get capital letters when ender doesn't have them" which led me to go down a bunch of rabit holes about when english started using capital letters - and i found that latin started out with the captital letters and then developed the lowercase script for cursive writing, which is incredibly similar to what i was doing which was taking the letters of ender and making them easier to write without taking your pen off the paper- what i was essentially doing is creating a lowercase alphabet, because ender is all uppercase, it makes the most logical sense.

this all being said, i have taken it upon myself to change up a couple of the ender letters to make them easier to write fluidly

my first attempts at cursive, before all this deep diving and thinking, perhaps reads as a more stylistic cursive

both say "ember"

And my attempt at a sentence, cursive, normal ender, and my english cursive handwriting

translation is already there but to keep consistent all three sentences say "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog." which is a sentence that has all the letters of the alphabet.

I love a few characters for different reasons.

In summary:

Will and Seven were my OG favourites and go to POVs to watch. I loved the contrast of all shit going lose and the calmer, peaceful vibe they brought.

Rae, I relate to and watching his character development was so fun. I love his design too! It's so prebby!

I love Icarus' story! When it comes to long running series and they start to introduce concepts of Timetravel and multiverses, I think the story is stretching and leaves a lot of plot holes, but Sherb did an amazing job of having this not be the case! Watching Icarus arcs was so fun and I love to watch Sherb act!

Hey there! It seems as though at least a few people are seeing my posts. Considering that this is the only social media where I'm actively posting, I thought I should write a little introduction!

You can call me Indigo. I'm almost 20 years old as of posting this. I'm aromantic and asexual, my gender is still to be determined. My pronouns are they/any, which basically means that any pronouns (including neos) are fair game as long as you throw in a "they" every once in a while.

(This is long so I'll cut it here)

If you've seen my posts you'll know that I enjoy yelling about mcyt stuff, specifically about fable smp. I'm also following smps like bound smp, mer smp, siege smp, craft smp, EoD, Hermitcraft and occasionally the life series though.

I'm also an enjoyer of fictional languages/writing systems. I learned Ender back in the day and I wanna at least write down Telchin, Enchantment table, Quixian and Luxtent to name a few. There's a bunch of others that I wanna write down too, with the goal of having a key for a bunch of them in the same place eventually. I'm so normal about languages guys ^^

I also enjoy reading. I have a lot of books and will gladly give book suggestions if anyone asks me. I mostly read fantasy and science fiction books, ideally without a prominent romance aspect. I also read what might be considered murder mysteries? That's probably not what the genre is called, but you get my point. I've read thinks like a "a good girls guide to murder", "Dune", the aurora cycles, most of the grishaverse books "the priory of the orange tree" and "the sunbearer trials". This isn't a complete list by any means, if i wrote a complete list this would be way too long.

I also enjoy watching crafting content on YouTube. It's really fun to watch other people make stuff! I mostly watch people who make cosplays or just regular clothes, but there's some diorama/sculpture makers in there too.

If you've been here for a while, you've seen the posts about the beginnings of my technoblade cosplay journey. That is still a project I really want to make and it's the reason I started posting here in the first place. I am going to finish it at some point, I don't know when yet though. I'll still post updates here if I work on it.

I likely won't post here all too often, it'll mostly happen if I've got more mcyt theories or other fandom related stuff that I need to yell into the void to get them out of my head. Other than that it'll be reblogs of stuff for the most part. I am working on a tagging system but it's not done yet (:

Here, an AU for fable SMP

What if Rae grew up in the end instead of the overworld?

(TW for torture and cult activity)

Soon after Orchid left Rae had been wondering about looking for his sibling when they happened across a manor, owned by a wealthy family. The Mistvales a large group of people who enjoyed farming. Who happened to have a young son around Rae’s age. Rae, who was lost and turned around, looking for his sibling. He decided to stay the night.

That night he was taken to a secret basement, where they decided to try a ritual on him. He survived the first of the nonmembers to survive the first infusion. they then began to keep him below the house, scared that they lose him. He began to gain scars. Wherever he had been hurt and damaged, thanks to the infusion, it would scar over with Enderman skin. On the third and final infusion, one of the members forgot to close the cellar door. Young Centross curious about what was happening in the seller snuck down to watch them do the third and final infusion.

They finished the final ritual, Centross watched as Enderian spoke to all of them. Shocked by the fact that they not only sacrificed a child to her, but the child sacrifice had worked. taking Rae to the end, she realized that he would probably be lonely and the Mistvales, helpfully offered up Centross as a bonus.

Both children were brought to the end, where Enderian gave them a large house with a lot of land to play with. On each of their birthdays, the children could ask for one gift of any kind.

The first gift Centross asked for was one of every plant Enderian allowed him to get the dirt and materials necessary to grow everything. the young boy instantly fell in love with glow berries and filled his entire bedroom with them.

The first gift Rae asked for was an entire library filled with books on other dimensions, the gods, curses, and empty notebooks for him to write in. Enderian also included dictionaries in all known languages including Ender, Telchin, and Vo’lète.

Centross next asked for a single dog. He was given a small dog that he named Hope. She always follows him around while he works in his garden.

Rae asked for an abundance of fabric and thread. He began to make his and Centross’ clothes.

Centrist asked for a clock that responded to the time in the overworld so he could finally nag Rae about a proper sleep schedule.

Rae asked for an animal that would be his companion. Enderian gave him a white cat with dual-colored eyes. He named it Bucket.

This went on for several more years-resets. Rae eventually began to forget the overworld and how he got to the End. Centross didn’t forget how his family gave him up to a random goddess. He didn’t forget how they tortured and sacrificed Rae. He promised himself he never would.

One day Ray, in his curiosity, decided he wanted to go see what was in Perix’s prison he discovered that there was an overworlder in there. And although the overworlder was asleep, he could easily tell that that person had been seriously injured and abused. Making up his mind to do something, he snuck into the alchemy room with the help of Epros.

He found the warden’s journals and how they didn’t match up with the reports and how Perix has been going behind Enderian‘s back and trying to take her place as leader. he instantly delivered this information to Enderian. He also found the love letter however, he decided to keep that bit of information to himself.

Enderian furious puts Perix into the mirror and keeps it as a personal trinket on herself at all times. Rae then advocates for the release, and to apologize to the overworlder, for the unjust treatment as a prisoner. Enderian agrees to his release from prison however, he is not to leave the dimension and will stay with Rae and Centross.

Ghosty who had grown used to the constant abuse and torture wakes up in a very different place with two people he’s never met before.

The more Endermen-like one introduces himself as Rae, he’s taller than Ghosty, but not as tall as the purple-eyed overworlder, he wears nice fancy clothes and has long dark hair and piercing green Eyes Of Ender with round glasses.

The purple-eyed overworlder introduces himself as Centross, he’s easily taller than Ghosty, and a few inches taller than Rae He wears simple clothes, but there’s still very nice. There’s dirt and mud caked on hands that are calloused with work. Obviously, he is someone who is used to working outside though he doubts the soil, in the end is similar to that of the overworld.

As for himself, Ghosty has a ripped and torn jacket. His memories of the overworld are foggy and hazy much to Rae’s disappointment. The ender-hybrid seems to be fascinated with the overworld. Not that he’s complaining these two make far better company than the warden.

Bound helped me realise that I acctually dont want to be a theorist, I dont want to write down all of the lore and think real hard about it. I just want to look at the silly minecraft people and shake them really hard and yknow what, it doesnt matter if I predict a plot point and it doesnt matter if foreshadowing goes right over my head, because this is something I enjoy watching, I can enjoy it any way I want.

For some people that means writing everything down and predicting and analysing, but for me I think its just getting to watch to talk in chat every now and then, getting to see what other people who enjoy these things make. And I can just do that, and I never really thought about that
