For those who have great dad’s today is a day to celebrate them. Today for me is just another day that I am reminded that I wasn’t really wanted. I called my dad to wish him a happy father’s day which I was promptly transferred to my grandma to speak with her. I wish he liked me for me. I wish he liked me in general. I wish I knew my heritage, he struggled with being a Native American and not being white. He burned everything from my grandfather except a few rings that I had taken from a drawer. I wish he was proud of what I’ve done in life. There’s a lot of things I wish for but at least I know who he is and at least I have a very broken but there relationship with him.
