hello hi. have you read the side story and after story of S-classes too? where can one read it, do you know?
Yes, I have read Side Story and Afterward/Later Story for S-Classes that I Raised (that's why I have fanfics based on that part of the story). I have a bigger post on where to read the novel, but Side Story and Afterward/Later Story are only available on Naver in Korean! That's where I read it.

@richislittlecircus replied to your post "Thoughts on the live-action adaptation of The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells, Episodes 3: Risk Assessment . . . ":
Idk i started the book but i kind of dont like the writing style? At least now at the beginning. I cant really immerse myself into it. That said ive only read like two pages so far but usually if i dont like the first few pages i dont enjoy the reading of the rest. What do you think about the writing style of the book? Does it get better (or am i judging it too hurshly)
This doesn't really have to do with my comment that the books are better than the show, which is a subjective opinion anyway, but it's cool you're giving (I assume) All Systems Red a shot!
It depends on what you didn't like and your own mileage when it comes to reading. Generally though, my rule of thumb is, if there's something you're not into in a story at any point to the point you don't feel like continuing, it's fine to quit, no matter how deep into it you are.
I don't specifically know what it is you don't like about the writing style, so I can't tell you if something you don't like is going to go away/change, particularly in a way you like, especially since you've seemingly read so little of it. If you don't like first person narration, that doesn't change. I'm not a fan of first person myself, but I think Wells does a good job of writing it to the point that I'm comfortable with it. She's one of the few authors I can stand doing it, and I think that in itself speaks for the writing quality.
If you don't like reading an anxious, unreliable narrator's perspective, there's no getting around that. If you don't like critiques of capitalism and somewhat gritty dystopic science fiction, or you don't like the humor, the story may not be for you. Or maybe the story just isn't grabbing you for whatever reason. I have no idea.
Personally, I think The Murderbot Diaries is one of the best pieces of science fiction writing I've ever read. It's not perfect, but it is incredibly well-written. It is also one of the most approachable examples of hard SF, which again speaks for the quality of its writing. I've read other hard SF that we call doorstoppers because they're so huge. Murderbot's beauty is that it's so short and yet so dense while also being approachable by a lay reader. The writing doesn't "get better" at some point to me because it's already excellent from the beginning of All Systems Red. I first read the novella in one sitting (well, standing, as I opened the book as I walked into my bedroom and then stood in the doorway until I'd finished reading it). And after the first trailer for Murderbot dropped last month, I reread All Systems Red in one sitting. It has one of the best openings I've seen in a story. The overall novella and series is funny, fun, and just extremely well-written from start to finish. The cast is fun and plots are very enjoyable. Murderbot is an extremely relatable character. I actually think the earlier entries are the stronger part of the series, though I enjoyed System Collapse, the most recent entry, well enough. And I liked Murderbot enough to pick up some of Wells' other works, including Ile-Rein, Raksura, and The Rising World, though I think Murderbot is the best written (followed by at least the earlier parts of Raksura). I've even written fanfiction for Ile-Rein, and I'd like to write some more for the series, and I have one ship I'd like to write for in Raksura (though I don't recommend anyone read Ile-Rein, honestly; if you want more Wells, read Raksura).
That being said, Murderbot will not be for everyone, for any number of reasons, and what I enjoy is not necessarily going to be what you enjoy. If the opening is turning you off, then it's probably not for you. I don't love all of Wells' works (which is why I don't recommend reading Ile-Rein, even though, after Murderbot, it's maybe what she's most well-known for, as The Death of the Necromancer won a Nebula award), so I can understand not being a fan of at least some of her writing (though style wasn't my issue in Ile-Rein, nor was style the core of my issues with The Rising World).

Hey! I'm new to the ENNEAD fandom and have been on a fic binge for the past few days. I've noticed the tag "AU 19" on a lot of your fics. Would you mind explaining what that is?
Welcome to the fandom! I hope you enjoy any fanfics you try!
The number system refers to the age rating between the two different versions of ENNEAD: the 19+/Complete/Mature version and the 16+/Older Teen version, which contains censored and sometimes new and more safe for work scenes. 19+ tends to be used on the original Korean listings (it's why there's typically a little 19 on the covers when you buy episodes on places like mcomics or Ridibooks):
("Complete" is how the 19+ version is referred to in Korean: 엔네아드 (ENNEAD) [완전판] (the brackets say "Complete Edition"); it's complete in that it hasn't been modified for younger audiences like the 16+ version has)
Tappytoon doesn't use an age rating for the 19+/Complete Edition, sticking to "Mature" for its translation of that version. Seven Seas also calls it Mature, which is designated for age 18+, likely because Seven Seas is a U.S. company and Korean ages start newborns at age 1, not 0, so a 19-year-old Korean would be 18 in other countries (like the U.S.). The English translation of ENNEAD didn't begin until March 10, 2020, which was shortly before season 1 concluded in Korean (by that point, ENNEAD had been ongoing for at least around 3 years). It took a long time for the English translation to catch up, and by that point, both the post-season 1 AUs were out. There was fandom outside Korea prior to the release of the official English translation (e.g., in Japan, which got a translation of the 19+/Mature release starting February 28, 2020), and I imagine most people differentiated it based on the 19+ and non-19+ ratings.
"AU 19 ENNEAD" is one of the fan-designed tags to designate fanfics related to the alternate universe short story extra for the 19+/Mature version of ENNEAD season 1 about Horus becoming king and keeping Seth prisoner. The AU is non-canon and based on an earlier draft of ENNEAD that Mojito scrapped before creating the current version of the story, and is available as episodes 74-75 of season 1 on the 19+/Complete/Mature version.
It was also included in an extra booklet in the Taiwanese box set of season 1, and with luck it'll be included in some form in volume 6 of the English physical release via Seven Seas, perhaps like it was included along with Tiny AU in volume 6 of the Panini German release.
The 19+/Mature AU is sometimes referred to as AU 19, to differentiate it from Tiny AU, a fan name for the AU attached to the 16+/Older Teen version of ENNEAD season 1, where Seth is sentenced to become tiny (which is available as episode 74 of the 16+ English translation).
The 19+/Mature AU is also sometimes called R19 AU (e.g., Rated 19, again for the age of the story version), Gaiden 19 in Japan, or as I prefer, Dark King Horus AU, because it's more specific in the same way "Tiny AU" is and doesn't require knowledge of the rating system.
I only have the tags for AU 19 ENNEAD/Dark King Horus AU on two fanfics, my one-shot for ENNEAD Week 2022, which is set within the 19+/Mature AU universe, after what's shown in S1E74-75, and my longfic, As Long As You're Mine, which is set after that. This is in comparison to my Tiny AU fanfic. At the time I posted my first 19+/Mature AU fanfic, I only found one other fanfic for the AU, so I used the tag they used, which was AU 19 ENNEAD. There were apparently two other fics at the time, in Chinese, both of which referred to it as the r19 AU. Other folks seemingly followed suit after the English fics.
#fallfasks#ennead#r19 au#dark king horus#horuseth#I'm not sure what a lot means...?#2/71 doesn't mean a lot to me#unless you're seeing the tags where I'm not for some reason#unless you mean like the fandom as a whole...?#while I have published 9.2% of the fandom fics in the tag on Ao3 I am not the whole fandom#and only 2/14 of the AU 19 fics are mine

Your jinx analysis of the chapter made me very much aware that mingwa has yet to bring up homophobia in the universe.
And it made me wonder that Jk hugged Dan in front of everyone and we were shown that there was press present with cameras and all.
I can see this evolving into a scandal. A scandal which only Jk will be responsible for and cannot blame Dan for it. But also people finally noticing Dan in Jk's life. A can see some reporter fishing into Dan's past and making a headline of his assualt history.
That would have very big consequences on the story as well as Jk understanding Dan's previous aversion to sex. Jk is always intrested in tidbids of Dan's past and this could be something big which make him understand him better.
Mingwa honestly might not bring up homophobia at all! She hasn't seemingly done it at this point, which is intriguing, and it may not ultimately matter. She doesn't have to write about it: it's authorial choice, and I also typically don't bring it up in stories because it's fun to imagine a world where homophobia isn't real, so I can easily see her avoiding it. There are many, many other things she could focus on, like Dan and Jaekyung's everything, their sleeping issues, the landlord getting a name, Jaekyung's comeback, the resolution of the hospital lawsuit, the resolution of the spray + aphrodisiac investigations and presumably Gilseok (Junmin's gym owner) and Manwook's (loan shark leader) potential downfalls, the reveal about Dan's history with the Hospital Director, Okja's decline, a potential return to Seoul, Dan's parentage, Jaekyung's backstory, anything about either Dan or Jaekyung with South Korea's compulsory military service (which both of them are still eligible for if they haven't done it already, barring any particular factors that may make them exempt; potentially, Dan's being an orphan might have exempted him, assuming his being raised by his grandmother still makes him one, and we don't know whether or not Jaekyung is an orphan), Dan and/or Jaekyung adopting one or more of Boksoon's puppies... There's a lot!
I've also been focusing on the hug and how public it is. It came up a bit in my Episode 69 fic that I've been working on (though I got sidetracked a bit in the last 24 hours lol), though not quite like this (though Dan is a bit worried about it). That would require a longer story to address it than I have spoons for. However, I've reviewed the episode a number of times, and I don't see press, cameras, or even anyone holding a phone anywhere on or around the dock. There's at least one emergency vehicle (likely for hospital transport), lots of flashing lights, people pointing, a guy on a walkie talkie, lit shops, docked but otherwise normal boats, and obviously Jaekyung listens to the news in the car, but I can't find anyone potentially recording anything. That's not to say no one is, but, so far as I can tell, "press present with cameras and all" is not a thing in the episode, unless I'm missing something somewhere. The broadcast Jaekyung is listening to is likely from a regional news station, based on the wording of the broadcast, not apparently from the dock (they don't even mention the dock incident).
As I mentioned in my other posts (post 1, post 2), yes, I think it could turn into a scandal very easily. It just depends on what, if anything, Mingwa wants to do with it. She hasn't really laid the groundwork anywhere for it to be a concern. When Jaekyung fucks Dan at Team Black's gym, Dan is worried about other people finding them fucking, not necessarily about their reputation as being in a same-sex relationship. I imagine he'd have the same concern if one of them was female. It's still an issue if people find them fucking, but it's different when the concern is just a work ethics violation and not also homophobia.
People have actually already noticed Dan in Jaekyung's life. That's seemingly part of why Gilseok targeted Dan with the deal about Okja's health in Episodes 46 and 48, and the photography in Episode 48. It's possible the loan sharks told him about the connection (after learning Dan was working for Jaekyung in Episode 17), which might have prompted Gilseok to send an investigator after Dan, but if nothing else, Dan is already considered an accessory to be used against Jaekyung.
I can also see Dan's backstory at the other hospital popping up in something like this, and maybe Jaekyung feeling guilty about Dan's history being exposed for the public due to association with Jaekyung (especially after Jaekyung's doctors leaked Jaekyung's info and Dan was dragged into the shit with the MFC security because someone tried to poison Jaekyung, but Dan drank said poison first). Even without the homophobia angle, it might just be a gossip thing like, "Who is this guy Jaekyung is dating? Here's his past! Did you know he was fired and no one would hire him!" And perhaps people even spinning it, maybe with an interview from the Hospital Director, that Dan literally seduced the Director. And Dan spiraling as a result, and Jaekyung trying to help, perhaps Dan even losing his job at the hospice... There's a lot Mingwa could do with it. Jaekyung's already a little keyed in that he has to figure out more about Dan to know what's going on, so it'd definitely be a way for him to figure things out without bumbling around trying to figure out how to ask, especially when Dan doesn't want to talk to him.

• I thought Dan's reaction to the news of the match was intriguing. I hadn't really considered it until I read your post on the latest chapter. I think his primary thought in having heard the news is that Jaekyung just had his downfall a short few months ago, having lost his unbeatable streak, suffered from a severe and ongoing injury, and was essentially sabotaged just to watch him crumble, and now, as if nothing has happened, he's being invited back into the world. And while it has been a few months, I'm sure to both Dan (and probably Jaekyung as well) that this is a very abrupt decision made without any regard to the participating party's opinions on the matter. I feel like his initial state of panic/shock comes from the fact that Jaekyung, having not fully recovered as well, is about to just walk right back into this world of his, one that Dan has grown far too familiar with, and he knows it's not going to bode well. I agree with you that the last thing on his mind is the jinx, which I think is an interesting development for it to become probably the most insignificant matter in this whole dilemma.
• Jaekyung's reactions as a whole in this chapter felt so out of character for him. Usually he lives in a perpetual state of discontent, anger, and spite. In this chapter, though, he's so expressive. It feels like that usual Jaekyung facade we've grown familiar with is beginning to deteriorate? Though it may just be an oddity from this chapter alone.
• What I don't understand is how this season's story is progressing. The author had initially stated that, while this season wouldn't be very long, it would be longer than the first, so presumably maybe a dozen or so chapters more. But for us to be this far ahead and Jaekyung only just beginning to show signs of humanity, and with the very realistic risk of reverting back to his old ways for angst purposes, I can't really tell how the next few chapters will go. I do think this next fight of his may be one of the last few fights we see him in, whether it be due to the webcomic coming to an end or his career coming to an end.
• You have a very interesting take on the state of homophobia in this universe. I never stopped to consider it until I read your stance on the matter, and it's true, there hasn't been much attention on the matter. I'd also like to know what will happen considering Jaekyung's fame. I also like your addition on the sexism in sports. I also wonder if anything will come of it 🤔
(This is about my thoughts on Jinx Episode 69). This got a bit long so I'll put it under a read more. This will be spoilery for Episode 69 of Jinx. (CW: Blood)
I think Dan's experiencing a lot of feelings when he's listening to the call and looking at Jaekyung to gauge Jaekyung's reaction, especially given the last time Dan voiced a warning about Jaekyung participating in a match in Episode 42, Jaekyung got angry at him. It's likely part of the reason Dan doesn't say anything here. The other part is also likely a number of things: Dan is not Jaekyung's personal physio (Jaekyung just sees him as a specialist employed by someone else), Dan has repeatedly tried not to involve himself in Jaekyung's life so he has no reason to try to interfere or actual desire to, and Jaekyung has repeatedly insisted he doesn't want to hear Dan's opinion on things, particularly matches. Not to mention, Dan feels responsible for Jaekyung losing his last match, and he's afraid of making the same mistake in future when it comes to Jaekyung.
I'm not so sure Jaekyung feels in that call like Namwook and/or the MFC are being inconsiderate of him. I think he expected this at some point - as he notes in Episode 66, he's been out of the game for a while - and is just facing the writing on the wall now.
I don't know that the jinx is insignificant, per se, as it's perhaps just not the primary concern at the moment. Dan has stated he knows there are other people who could better help Jaekyung with his rehabilitation, and he believes that Jaekyung only needs Dan for the jinx. Mostly I think people could look at this as Dan panicking he'll be necessary for the jinx before the match, but I think Dan is focused elsewhere. The jinx also isn't the most important part of the narrative in general, to be honest. Ostensibly, it's the main reason Jaekyung hires Dan (on top of the physical therapy stuff), but more of the story is spent on Jaekyung using Dan, even in sex, for non-jinx reasons. Jaekyung only has three known matches while Dan works for him in the story at this point (Randy Booker, Dominic Hill, and Baek Junmin), which would mean he only needed Dan three times, and they have sex a lot more than that, as part of their agreement when Jaekyung hires him (there's maybe at least one other match we don't know, if the flashback in Episode 61 isn't referring to any of those three matches). Not to mention Dan is also working as a physical therapist, and that is also important in his interactions with Jaekyung. Obviously it's the title of the story, it's important, but it's not so important that other concerns aren't taking precedence.
I don't personally think Jaekyung is acting out of character, and I'm honestly not sure why you do lol You wrote, "Usually he lives in a perpetual state of discontent, anger, and spite.", and although I disagree this is true, this is also, to a degree, how he acts in the episode, so I'm confused on what the issue is lol Jaekyung in Episode 69 is discontented that Dan is acting so weird, he's discontented with his own physical fitness, with the concept of returning to the match, and with Namwook surprising him with this, especially as he's leaving Seoul. He's angry at his own potential inability and that he feels unprepared, and he's angry at Dan for being out of sorts. He is also spiteful because he blames Dan's behavior for his mood and his lack of preparedness, and he blames Junmin for things going to shit (and likely imagines he's punching Junmin's face while practicing).
However, throughout the episode, Jaekyung also expresses confusion over Dan's eating habits (and irritation), frustration with the call, nervousness about the match, rage at Junmin and Dan, patience with the landlord, professionalism with the MFC folks at the meeting, fear at Dan's potential fate, panic, and elation.
As for his general expressiveness, Jaekyung is and has always been very expressive, he just might not be the expressive you want him to be. His facial expressions are actually one of the more marked parts of him and the story in general (he makes a lot of funny faces, but also he smirks a lot). Jaekyung has been lusty, angry, confused, territorial, determined, wrathful, contented, amused, alarmed, sad, giddy, jealous, etc.
This is one of the first panels of Jaekyung, and it's meant to show that he's determined, focused, and kind of scary (Episode 1). In Episode 1 alone he also exhibits protectiveness over his work, confusion, exasperation, weariness, annoyance (when Dan grabs his dick), anger, curiosity, surprise and content, vocal dismissal (calling Dan a "little wimp"), and a manipulative kind of satisfaction when he lies to Dan on the phone.
I don't plan to spend many hours going over every single instance of Jaekyung's expressiveness across 69 episodes of manhwa (especially because I kind of already did that here), but he is extremely expressive, and what I imagine you might be having an issue with is how he expresses himself (or, more likely, how he vocalizes his feelings, which he has some issues with, but also still does). I can, however, share some highlights.
This one in Episode 9 in particular I like because he's clearly impressed and I think actually charmed in his own way by Dan guzzling down the giant mug of mixed alcohol at the hiring party. I will also note that he does not hide his disgust when he visits Dan's apartment in Episode 10. You could argue he's "discontented", I guess, but I think that specific brand of disgust is different than mere "discontent".
Jaekyung is very clearly surprised when Dan begs him to be gentler in Episode 14, which prompts Jaekyung to realize he's letting his anger at the match (and Randy Booker's taunting) get to him, and to remember the advice of the medical professional whom Jaekyung called for Dan of Jaekyung's own volition in Episode 13. As a result, Jaekyung tries to follow the man's advice, and tries kissing, which he has never done with Dan before. Dan notes in Episode 15 that it's aggressive, and Jaekyung seemingly indicates he enjoyed it by licking his lips. When he wins the match, he enjoys being celebrated.
Jaekyung is very cocky fighting the loan sharks, and pleased when he's fucking Dan on the table in Episode 18. Jaekyung is also extremely expressive in denying the assertion Dan was not making that Jaekyung was in love with him and that's why he was taking Dan in, to the point Dan is alarmed by it. Like he is bizarrely defensive about it and so bad about laughing it off in an attempt to seem distant that he fails, spectacularly, in proving his point.
These are two rather good ones in Episode 27, first when he's just completely flabbergasted by Dan thinking he's drowning in a standing height pool, and Jaekyung's... I sort of call this his "I want to fuck Dan really bad" face. He does this a lot: you can see, repeatedly, that he's really into Dan's body, constantly eying him up and imagining things. This is sort of related to his territoriality, which he can keep a bit of a cool face for, but he shows his feelings through his actions, starting in Episode 7: he gets annoyed when Dan gives attention to other members of Team Black, which is why he eventually pulls Dan into the showers for sex. He's reasserting his ownership. His fucking Dan while the other two guys are there is likely partially for fun (and/or because it's hot and heady, semi-public sex is a kink), and to show off, and maybe send a subtle message to Dan ("if I have to watch you with other guys, you have to remember that you're mine, not theirs"). He does that again in Episode 23, when he gets annoyed Dan is being so nice to Yoon-gu, and pulls Dan into the meeting room for sex. And again in Episode 32, when he's annoyed Dan (and himself, and Team Black) is getting played for fools by Heesung, and Heesung is trying to make moves on Dan, so Jaekyung uses the toy on Dan in the car to, again, reassert his authority (and kind of ruin Heesung's plans).
This part of Episode 34 is actually one of my favorite panels and sequences in the series, because Jaekyung cornering Dan here is so dragged out and charged (also the posing is beautiful). Jaekyung wants to get one over on Heesung, yes, and he wants to, again, prove his ownership. Jaekyung is also extremely pointed in how he's pressing his leg against Dan's crotch and grasping Dan's butt with his entire hand (wouldn't be surprised if he's rubbing a finger between Dan's cheeks as much as he can with Dan's pants in the way). Ownership, yes, but he's having fun, too. He wants to fuck Dan (as shown in Episode 33, when I would argue Jaekyung did not plan to fuck Dan in the car, but did so anyway when Dan kept struggling with the toy), and getting back at Heesung is icing on the cake.
I think it's very interesting how Jaekyung reacts to Dan's love confession in Episode 39. He pauses, he's clearly confused, and he says, "...You're so fucked up you're talking nonsense."
He even looks a bit worried. He's not happy, but he's also not angry (like when Dan nearly confesses his feelings later). He doesn't believe it, and thinks something's wrong. I again expound on this a lot more in this other ridiculously long post, and Jaekyung's potential feelings on love confessions.
This panel in Episode 40 is another of my favorites. Usually, Jaekyung will push Dan away or out of bed, or make him get up, but instead, he sees Dan sleeping peacefully, and is content, and lets Dan sleep in. Like, he's happy. Maybe it's partially being pleased he could fuck a guy so well into unconsciousness, but I genuinely think he's pleased at the sight of Dan sleeping peacefully in the sunshine.
Here, he's genuinely surprised. I don't think Dan usually cuddles up to him like this (we at least don't see it in the story), not to mention Jaekyung's got some memory issues from drinking. He's also genuinely disturbed by the sight of the hickeys on Dan's neck while Dan is cooking, because it's not like him (which seems to indicate to me that his surprise in this instance isn't the visible hickeys on Dan's body, but that Dan is cuddling up to him and sleeping against his back). I also think Dan is spot on about Jaekyung acting like a sulky cat while drunk in Episode 44 lol It's very funny.
Jaekyung is remorseful here. Perhaps a bit sad. He literally raced back to Dan's empty room, read the note, raced around his apartment to ensure it was empty and Dan wasn't hiding somewhere or something, and then walked back to Dan's empty room, and sat on the bed. Then he picked up Dan's jacket - the gift he gave Dan - and held it, before tossing it away in alarm when the memories hurt him.
I've compared this shot for too many hours against a close-up of Jaekyung's eyes in the same Episode (66), and my only conclusion here is that Jaekyung is worried.
What we witnessed since the match with Junmin concluded is Jaekyung's fury turn into anger - when he attacks Dan and then Junmin - then regret and sorrow, and anger at himself. He then wallows, eventually turning to drink when nothing helps, despite his hating drinking vehemently. As shown by Heesung, after Jaekyung determines to pursue Dan, he starts going on a rampage for any clue of Dan's location, like when he essentially breaks into Heesung's apartment to look for Dan/clues to Dan (Episode 58), and he demands the truth from Yoon-gu after Yoon-gu drops the photo into the group chat. He's repeatedly demonstrated worry for Dan, too, such as when he barged into the ocean to pull Dan out, provided CPR, took Dan to a hospital, and even said that Dan should rest in accordance with the doctor's wishes (which is fascinating, given Jaekyung's own dismissal of doctors for his own treatment, but in line with Jaekyung listening to the medical professional he called to look at Dan back in Episode 13; Jaekyung believes other people should help themselves when it comes to medical advice, but he's less into that when it comes to his own body). Dan was also shocked when Jaekyung grabbed Dan's arm in Episode 61, showing alarm that Dan was injured. He's been struggling since before the match with Junmin, where his arm injury was already bad and getting worse before the match, and he was getting angry with everything happened - which is largely what prompted Dan to get the birthday gift in the first place (Episode 42). His paranoia worsened, prompted by Choi Gilseok's text message with the photos of Dan and Gilseok meeting, the pain from the spray, his feeling of betrayal, and the frustrating results of the match. Between the MFC disqualifying him, tying with someone he loathed (and wanted to murder), and having to go through surgery, and then losing Dan and being stuck waiting for his body to heal (which he hates doing), while resorting to alcohol abuse, is all part of his deteriorating (which isn't how I'd phrase it, but still). That's been going on since before season 1 ended (at least Episode 41). It's not new. Lest we forget, his increased anger at the state of everything was what caused him to scare off Team Black members, which was a big reason why his coaches were worried about spies (Episode 46).
Jaekyung also has a history of being a good companion to Okja, whether it's in Episode 21, where Okja describes him as, "a very good listener, and so pretty with his words... He's such a kind, sweet young man." Or in Episode 61, where he visits Okja and delights her while chatting with her. Or in Episode 65 where he does the same. He's being a bit manipulative in 61 and 65, in that he's trying to weasel Dan back into his control, but at least from what we see, he doesn't really do anything other than be nice to her. Okja goes off on her own about Dan, to Jaekyung's surprise and frequently flustered confusion. He's also friendly enough and helpful to old folks in general, as shown by his helping the folks in town and the landlord thinking well of him.
He's realized his feelings for Dan are complicated going back to at least Episode 35, where he questions why he's been so weird around Dan, when he isn't this way around other partners (he's noticing his territoriality around Dan is strange). And he's at least starting to confront his odd "feelings", whatever they are, by Episode 61. His issue is he can't put into words how he feels, likely out of fear of appearing vulnerable and weak. He's, on multiple occasions, panicked about Dan's safety, whether it's running into the sea to save Dan, performing CPR, carrying him to a hospital, insisting Dan rest, being worried about Dan's arm injury, been weirded out by Dan collapsing in the middle of the road at night and thus taking Dan back to his place to rest, snatching the Jack Daniel's bottle out of Dan's hands in the hotel, and, rather than like sponging Dan off or drying him with a towel, getting into the bath with Dan for a prolonged period of time.
All this to say, this has been a progression for some time, with the main difference being the evolution of his understanding of what his feelings are, and what he allows himself to do. He embraced Dan in Episode 68 in the bath, too, while thinking about how he realizes he needs to keep Dan close; his hugging Dan in public is an escalation, but an understandable one. So no, I don't think his behavior in Episode 69 is odd, nor do I think it's out of character.
Season 1 is 53 episodes long. It's my understanding that manhwa authors don't tend to count special episodes (like the Heesung/Yoon-gu interlude) as part of the season length. Season 2 is currently 14 episodes long. Since Mingwa said Season 2 would be longer than Season 1, that means, bare minimum, there are 40 episodes left, and I highly doubt she meant "it will be precisely 1 episode longer", so likely, there are are more than 40 episodes left. If the interlude is included as part of season 1, that would mean there are bare minimum, 42 episodes left. If the interlude is included as part of season 2, that would mean there are, bare minimum, 38 episodes left. That is a lot more than 12. A lot can happen in just a single episode. As we see in 69 (though Mingwa on twitter called this one very long), there are 6 locations, and 5 different people interactions. I don't know that there's a "very realistic risk of reverting back to his old ways for angst purposes", but I do know that Jaekyung is avoidant of his potential romantic feelings, seemingly as a self-defense mechanism, and I doubt that will be resolved in a single episode (though it doesn't have to be). He hasn't reverted to anything, so much as he's still doing a lot of the same things he's done before. When he tosses the bowl/bucket thing in Episode 69, and Dan flinches, that was very reminiscent of his actions in Episode 45, when he threw the keychain, and Episode 14, when he punched the locker, and Episode 55, when he punched the shower wall. He has issues with a need to assert control and appear strong, and seeks easy answers (e.g., "Other people are the ones fucking up, not me, I am doing my best, and what is wrong with them is not my fault").
Mingwa is a hard one to predict. There's a lot of things that could happen, and I can guess at a lot of things that might happen, but she also might do none of them. My best guess recently was that they'd take a shower together after the recent sex scene (and they didn't, but they did take a bath together). As indicated by Mingwa's comments in the post-season 2 hiatus episode, she says, "there's nothing more satisfying than when the toxic top grovels after a long drag-out... The slower the burn, the sweeter the redemption." So I'm pretty sure we are going to continue to see that, which we have been! (Especially with Jaekyung following Dan around the hospice, trying to talk to him) Jaekyung doesn't realize Dan's mental health needs to be addressed before his physical health can be mended, and he needs to realize he's part of that mental health issue. He gets close a number of times, and I think he's very close here, when someone spelled out how Dan was wronged before. I think we're going to see more of that. There could be backpedaling (as Jaekyung did a bit in Episode 67), but he seems to be focused on fixing issues, namely, that Dan is unwell and needs to be made whole, and that his being near Dan has not solved all of his own issues (e.g., his migraines are back, despite his thoughts around Okja that he was sleeping better).
I don't know if this will be the last fight we see him in. I don't even know that we'll see the fight. There is a non-zero possibility of him cancelling it, because he doesn't feel ready. Maybe he won't, who knows! I think it'd be interesting as he seems, in Episode 69, to realize that he's really not ready, something he was less willing to accept for the fight against Junmin, but that was before he saw the consequences of that decision. Again, 38+ episodes is a lot of time (he had four matches in season 1 alone, at minimum), and if he's still fighting through the end of the comic, I wouldn't put it past there being at least one match of some kind, even in like one panel or as a reference, in whatever epilogue we get.
I don't know that Mingwa will do anything with homophobia or sexism in this story. It's an authorial choice whether or not to address it (I typically don't in my writing, because I like living in fantasy worlds where homophobia isn't a thing), and its seeming absence in the narrative is an interesting one. Not everyone is the writers of Love So Pure lol (that's not a criticism of that manhwa, it's just an important thing for one of the leads, which isn't the case in Jinx). I'm also not sure sexism will be addressed, either. There are a number of female characters in the story, whether that's Okja, Jaekyung's nameless lawyer, Miseon Kim (the medical professional who oversaw Okja's case at Sallim University Sacred Heart Hospital), various nursing staff for Okja, many coworkers for Dan, some of the elderly folks Jaekyung helps in town, some of Jaekyung's cleaning staff, reporters, the sleep specialist, etc. But there's no real sexist moment other than some of the guys calling each other bitches (and a noted absence of focus on or reference to female MMA fighters or athletes in general, or women in authority positions, outside that one lawyer). Mostly my point was that sexism and homophobia tend to go hand in hand in sports, and there's relatively little of the former in the manhwa and seemingly none of the latter, and that's interesting, especially after I recently read Netkama Punch!!!, which deals with the issue more directly, just with e-sports. It's a plot that could easily come up in the time we have, but it also might not, especially since it probably should have if it was going to before, but hasn't. Netkama Punch!!! is notable in that while it is more heavily emphasized in the final act of the story, it is also part of the central thread of the narrative in one form or another throughout the story. Even Love So Pure started the narrative thread on it early on.
And to be clear, Mingwa doesn't have to address either of these things. The story is what she wants it to be. She could address them, but she doesn't have to, and given the thread of the narrative, there's no reason to assume she will. I do think it would make for an easy scandal to bring up, especially given Jaekyung is hugging Dan so publicly, but we'll have to see where she takes it.

For the fic writers ask 2 & 32 please and thank you x
Ahh thank you so much for asking <3 (From the fic writer ask meme, which folks can still ask about :D)
2. In your opinion, what’s your best fic?
It's hard to pick, but I'll choose two.
I personally think my best fic is Sunlight, my 2023 what if ENNEAD Horuseth fanfic where Seth gives testimony at his sentencing about the night of usurpation. I fully outlined it and stuck to the outline and feel it's well-executed and enjoyable. It was also a lot of fun to write and I'm very proud of it.
My second is Empty Places, my 2019 Broadchurch/Detroit: Become Human Reed900 fanfic fusion. I am not great at writing mysteries, and I felt I did a very decent job, at least to the point many people were actually surprised by the solution to the mystery (which I felt was at least somewhat foreshadowed, though the motives were left unclear). I think the world was developed well and I liked the character dynamics a lot.
32. Have you ever written a ship into a fic without meaning to?
This one's waaay longer, so I'll put it under a read more.
This has happened a few times lol The more notable example is when I was drafting You reluctant demon, my 2023 Castlevania: Nocturne Mizrox fanfic, and started drafting Adrian and Olrox meeting, and the chemistry between them was uncanny lol I was truly not expecting that, I just liked both characters and enjoyed the idea of them meeting each other in any potential future season (season 2 was not confirmed immediately after the release of season 1, it took some time). I was also - like others - worried that Adrian would not be in much of any potential season 2 (so the story could focus on the new characters, even though Adrian does show up in most Castlevania games), and that he'd just briefly show up again in season 2 and that'd be it (again, it took a while for season 2 to be confirmed to be a thing, although the first stuff we saw when it was, was images of Adrian), so the fic was initially designed as wish fulfillment for two characters I enjoyed a lot and could conceivably cross paths. Their chemistry overtook the fic and I considered either making it an Alurox fic entirely or having a polyamorous conclusion with Mizrox and Alurox (it was actually hard to drag them apart and get Mizrak into the story, that's how good their chemistry is T-T). I also drafted several versions of the end of the story, which included Mizrak dying and Adrian becoming Olrox's partner, or Mizrox never reconciling and Adrian becoming Olrox's partner... and Mizrak dying lol The hardest thing about that fic was writing an ending where Mizrak didn't die, honestly lol Which is funny, given how season 2 turned out. I have a planned Alurox part 3 that I never put up, in part because I worried folks would be angry with me about it, because it's a Mizrox series and it was pairing a character of color with a white guy when there was already a canon pairing of two men of color, even though one of them (Mizrak) has a lot of religious and racist baggage to unpack and one of them does not (which made Adrian, who I already liked, far more appealing, too, but I also really didn't want to write a fic that felt kind of bashy towards Mizrak).
At any rate, to make the Alurox plot bunnies relax a bit, I wrote Too much conversation. The only Alurox fanfic at that point in time on Ao3 was a pre-Nocturne fanfic purely based on the game versions of the characters.
When I was thinking of Solas/male!Lavellan for a Dragon Age: Inquisition fanfic, I didn't really intend to include everyone/male!Lavellan, and then ended up doing that lol I honestly just thought that Solas' interactions with male!Lavellan were funnily shippy, even though Solas in the final game can only end up with female!Lavellan (which makes sense, as apparently more characters were intended to be romanced with anyone, including Cullen, but they ran out of time). I tend to ship the protagonist with everyone anyway, so it wasn't that unusual (hence why my female!Hawke fic exists as it does), but it was not the original intention. Mostly it was because I didn't have much to do in the fic other than "vignettes maybe of Solas banging male!Lavellan" and Solas being an unintentional voyeur was a funny concept. Originally it was going to be Solas observing everyone else doing stuff and keeping Lavellan for himself, but then it made me happier to just have everyone/male!Lavellan, and it made everything make a lot more sense.
Another time this happened was when writing The Point of It, my 2020 Castlevania (animated series) post-season 3 fanfic. I struggled a lot with ending it happily. Although I'd already written what I intended to turn into a general Trevor/Hector and maybe everyone/Hector fanfic after trailers for season 3 dropped, I didn't know how to end The Point of It with a happy Hector, and didn't intend to make it an everyone/Hector fanfic for a long time. But while drafting scenes, he kept having chemistry with everyone (particularly... Adrian... why does that man have chemistry with everyone T-T When I was writing You reluctant demon I was like NOOO NOT AGAIN alkdjalj), and the Trevor/Hector library scene was so easy to write, that that's how the story ended up going.
Another time this sort of happened was when writing Look at Me, my 2021 The Scum Villain's Self-Saving post-canon fix-it with Zhuzhi-lang. This was originally intended to be a non-ship fic, and then eventually he got a friendship with Liu Qingge, which I felt had shippy vibes to it. I also wanted to bring Gongyi Xiao back to life (so to speak, he never died), and I like the Gongyi Xiao/Zhuzhi-lang ship, so it was for a while just intended to be Gongyi Xiao/Zhuzhi-lang and Zhuzhi-lang & Liu Qingge, but then I thought, "well he has two hands, why not", on top of Bingqiu making their way into things, so it became a polyamorous fic.
Year of the Rabbit, my 2023 Heaven Official's Blessing Quanyin fanfic, was originally just intended to be just Quanyin. But I couldn't figure out how Yin Yu got into the costume lol So Xie Lian coming in made sense, but it was odd for him to be doing that, so Hualian also having some background fun made sense. Thus it became what it was, and a lot easier (and more fun) to write.
This isn't quite I think the intention of this question, but Permission, my 2023 Hunter X Hunter/Given Wing/Murata Ugetsu fanfic was extremely not intentional. I wanted to write Ugetsu fanfic for years, but didn't want to write him with either Akihiko or the other main cast members of Given, and making a male OC was frustrating work, so I put it off. While watching the Hunter X Hunter anime, I also really loved Wing and wanted to fic for him, but couldn't decide who to pair him with (because I wanted to pair him with someone for an m/m fic). And given I was already struggling with the series (which I ultimately dropped), I worried I'd never find someone proper in canon for him, and again, making a male OC was a hassle. And then I thought about how I had these two male characters in different series I liked and wanted to write m/m fanfic for, and Ugetsu was a bottom and Wing was a top, and they had fun chemistry, and the rest is history.
Again, not quite what this question is for, but Technical Difficulties, my 2023 The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Tauro/Link fanfic, was originally just going to be the shrine mechanical arms/Link lol Tauro was meant to solely show up and disentangle Link. I fell in love with Tauro while playing the game, and wanted to do Tauro/Link fic down the line when I got to know him better, but I really wanted to do mechanical arms/Link fic, especially since no one had seemingly done it, and Tauro sticking around longer made the story better. So. If I'd done as originally planned and waited to fic for him until after I finished the game, that fic would still not be published lol
My Nuisance, my 2022-3 Heaven Official's Blessing Yin Yu & Qi Rong and Quanyin fanfic, was originally just going to focus on Yin Yu & Qi Rong and Xie Lian & Qi Rong, but adding Quanyin (one of my favorite ships) made the writing more fun and easier (especially because exploring more of Yin Yu's thoughts involved Quan Yizhen a lot, and just having him in the story rather than just Yin Yu pining made sense), so it ended up being a Quanyin fic, too.
Consume Me, my 2024 Alien Stage IvanTill fanfic, ended up going to unintentional kind of shippy places with Ivan and Dewey, which I thought about including in the fic proper but didn't end up doing. If I'd made the fic longer (or do so someday), there was a planned plotline involving the ship, but I never got around to it. It was very much unintended when I was writing chapter 1, though: I just needed one of Hyuna's helpers to help Ivan (since Till was unavailable), and he was going to be nice to Ivan. I didn't (and still sadly don't) have much attachment to either Isaac or Dewey, so even picking which one I used was entirely random.
My Ayashi no Ceres M/M series is actually kind of this, because all the pairings are just random things I was thinking about while wanting to write the fic I haven't finished and put up yet. I think it's funny (and sad) I haven't put up the one and sole fic I actually intended to write, but I assumed (correctly) that no one would care about the other random pairings, so if I wrote those last, I never would due to the crush to my self-esteem. Therefore the idea was "end strong" or some nonsense, as I assumed the fic I most cared about would be the one with the most interest. Unfortunately the lack of interest has meant I didn't put up the one fic I wanted to write in the first place, and it's hard to go back and finish a fic knowing likely no one will care.
Washed Up For You, my 2023-4 Heaven Official's Blessing Hualian fanfic, was not meant to have Quanyin in it for a while. It was just going to focus on Hualian. But while struggling to finish the story and wanting to write more Quanyin, and because of Yin Yu's donghua debut, I ended up adding them, especially because I like Xie Lian & Yin Yu. It made things a lot easier and harder, because I felt the story needed more time to flesh things out, but I also didn't really want to write it anymore while not leaving it permanently unfinished. So it's a bit of a rushed mess.
Generally, though, side ships I feature in some degree are for intentional world-building. I used to pair off Tina with a female OC in DBH fics because that meant Gavin was free and Tina wasn't alone. Hualian will basically always be a background ship for TGCF fanfics I make if it's not the main ship, same with Wangxian in Mo Dao Zu Shi fanfics where they're not the main ship and HankCon for DBH fics that don't star them or feature Convin. I also like a lot of ships, so squishing them in the background when they're not the focus is fun. I'm a multishipper and am generally down for everyone/everyone ships. I also have relatively few notps. So if I think of something and start exploring it, generally that's where I end up with things.

What do you think was Isis’s wager? I don’t remember that it was explicitly stated for readers right?
There is some open-endedness to it, but we are seemingly given the gist of it in S02E52 as a furtherance of Isis' discussion with Sekhmet in S02E26. S02E52 is when Isis is still trapped in her nightmare. She first begs Osiris to look at her, and then attacks Seth for taking Osiris' attention. I use the Tappytoon translation, since Seven Seas is very much not here yet.
In S02E52, (Presumably Sekhmet as) Seth, says this, "This is why you tried to make me fade away? After all that talk of betrayal and revenge, that wasn't the real reason? It was all because of jealousy? The lives of those humans weren't actually that important, were they? It's okay. No need to be embarrassed. It's only natural. We all think that our own wounds are the most painful, after all. Like Osiris, who experimented on countless souls, for his own personal reasons."
Isis: "What?"
Sekhmet as Seth: "Or Seth, who slaughtered all those humans, just because his wife had an affair. But you took it out on Seth alone, so should we say that's better than both of them?"
Sekhmet: "Sweet Isis... I came to tell you the honest truth. I'm curious to see if you won't change your mind after hearing what I have to say. Shall we make a wager?"
This is all seemingly about Isis' recurring nightmare (of the night of usurpation, when Isis witnesses some part of Osiris and Seth together), as mentioned in S02E26, when Sekhmet is trying to "help" Isis not have her nightmare anymore. Isis rejects her help.
It's unclear if the wager is something new after Sekhmet's speech in S02E52, because we switch scenes after "Shall we make a wager?" and the next time we hear about it is in S02E78, but given Anubis invades Isis' dreamspace/mind/soul/who knows and sees the visions Sekhmet is sending Isis of Osiris' memories/past, it fits with what Sekhmet is saying. Sekhmet is seemingly showing Isis Osiris' memories/Osiris' past to maybe show her that Osiris was never really hers and Seth wasn't to blame for Osiris' attention being "diverted" from Isis: Osiris was attempting to make Seth his even during their war with Ra prior to Osiris taking the throne (and heck, even Ra seemingly knew back then that Osiris wanted to make Seth his, when Isis had no apparent clue until the night of usurpation).
The wager seems to be something like, "If I show you what Osiris was doing/what his goals were, you'll change your mind about Seth/yourself."
In S02E52, Isis also insists she doesn't want to hear Sekhmet/need her help. It's possible the wager is that Sekhmet wins in proving she's right and Isis did need to listen to Sekhmet cause she knows all the stuff about Osiris that Isis did not know (as indicated by her "What?" when Sekhmet is talking about the experiments on humans). Sekhmet just seems to enjoy one-upping people a lot (she does this with both Seth and Horus).
We don't know what either of them will win if they win. I imagine the idea is that Isis will stop having nightmares. Sekhmet... gets to be right/be the one to stop the nightmare? And/or be owed a favor from Isis for doing this? Possibly she just wants to do this so she can lord it over Seth (e.g., "See I convinced Isis to not hate you so much, cause you suck at this stuff") but I doubt that'd be part of a wager with Isis.
So it's not explicit precisely, but it does seem to kind of be there in some form.
Update: This post was written prior to the release of S02E86. Since that came out, we know that Isis lost the wager, which is why she agreed to let Hathor marry Horus. Sekhmet asked Isis to give Hathor security and watch over her, so she didn't get hurt. And to consider Hathor "insane" and let her have her with everything, because her "love doesn't last long anyway".
(If you'd like help reading the series, here's a guide)

hey hey so glad to have found you on tumblr. it was a bit hard for me to find content creators for ennead on this site, oddly enough
i saw some of your ask me prompts and i was wondering if you could do 4 and 10?
Hello!! And welcome :3 Thank you for the ask!! And yeah, tumblr is very quiet for the fandom. Twitter, pixiv, Ao3, and instagram are far more hopping.
I think this is for the ENNEAD ask me meme, so I'll answer based on that!
4. Who is your favorite character (if you have one)?
Shockingly I know, after publishing 48 fanfics that star or otherwise feature him in some fashion... it is Seth alkdjaldja he is best boi for me. Sad man, angry man. Love him. He's beautiful, he's tragic, he's fun. I love the way Mojito is exploring so many things with him, whether it's suicidal ideation, self-destructive tendencies, self-blame for things that are out of your control, cycles of violence, anxiety, responsibility... Just a lot of things. I love his power set (no pun intended). Shapeshifter characters have been my favorites since I was little (big fan of werewolves and shifters generally, and always have been, pretty sure it's why The Little Mermaid and other similar stories about water people who can change their shape have always stuck with me), especially when they can like dissolve into particles and reform. And I love his relationship with Horus. He's also really smart and can be quite thoughtful and I love how creative he is. Also I love when he gets into Situations. Angsty, whumpy man.
Second place is Horus. I love him so much. He's gorgeous, he's such a fun character, and he's hilarious. And his wings are so gorgeous T-T He and Seth are so cute and I go feral whenever I see them.
I like most of the cast, though.
10. How do you think ENNEAD will end?
I don't have good luck with guessing what Mojito will do intentionally, so take this with a lot of grains of salt lol I do have some luck doing it unintentionally when I write things into fics with like, "This would be cool if it happened", and then it kind of does lol And I do have some luck guessing what she won't do, so. Anywho.
We know Horuseth is the endgame ship, so they'll end up together. I assume they'll rule Egypt together in some fashion or, worst case, go off into the sunset together. Seth will fully get his powers back and the curse will be resolved. I imagine whatever's going on with Hathor's mirror will also be resolved (I think Nephthys was split into two people, and she'll be recombined and get all her memories back, and I think Hathor did it to take revenge for Ra). I'm still on the fence for whether Horus will actually "ascend" properly or not, or what that'll look like. He's kind of a strange demigod (Nut calls him the "link between the gods and humankind" (S02E44)), so I wonder if he won't actually ascend/he already has. But his ascension might also just be different than other gods, at which point I think Isis will step aside and let him rule fully on his own, with her help as needed. He doesn't marry Hathor. She gets booted out of Heliopolis. I also don't personally think he's going to lose his memory. He could, but on top of the circumstances around the whole "ascension involves memory loss" thing being still kind of unclear and questionable, he's a special kind of demigod/god, and his power involves knowing things. I think he'll be fine.
I assume Osiris will be defeated in Duat in some fashion (possibly by Seth, Horus, Anubis, and maybe FG) and just be stuck down there, stewing (Mojito likes sticking to the original mythology in a lot of ways, and I don't think she'd like... perma-dissolve Osiris of all people), and he and Anubis will be on more of a balanced power stance, and just sort of share a power domain. I feel like part of ENNEAD's conclusion will involve Anubis leaving his control and just coming into his own power entirely. And he gets his memories of Seth back to some degree.
I assume FG will head home after/around when we learn his name and the Egyptians will be like "huh, well idk who that was, but whatever, I guess we'll keep an eye on [FG's home country], though." Which... if it's Greece or Rome... -cringes a little-
I also hope that Anubis will have a heavily implied partner of some kind. It's not gonna be Seth, and I don't really think it'll be Khnum, much as I love that ship (though I'm rooting for it fully and he's as likely as anyone), but it could be Isis, too. Mojito did do some Anubis/Isis art years ago. I just want him to not be so alone.
I think Isis, Seth, and Nephthys will reconcile to some degree. I don't know that they'll be very close, but I think they will be on speaking terms, though I honestly think Seth and Nephthys are the least likely of the group for this to happen with. It depends on whatever is actually happening with the mirror. Seth and Isis are already on the path to reconciliation. Nephthys is the only actually sort of static one.
If anyone would like to ask more questions, here's the meme again :D
(If this is for the fanfiction author ask me meme I linked, I can answer that one, too! I just didn't know which meme it was, and assumed based on context it was the ENNEAD one)
#ennead#asks#ask me meme#I can see why people think what they do about the memory loss thing and it tying into the eye of horus stuff#I just think Mojito leaves the whole ascension involves memory loss thing very open ended#and Horus intuition is finicky#so who knows#this assumes he even ascends normally when he already kind of hasn't#or maybe he already has#who knows#I'm writing some more Khnubis fic that'll hopefully go up soon so like I will go down with this ship#but also idk that it'll be even remotely canon beyond Khnum looking after him when he was a demigod#this was fun :3#fallfthoughts#fallfasks

Your "make up for it" fanfic was such an excellent read. you tackled yuri and loids ship in such a satisfying way that just make these twos work, and i love that kind of character portrayal. you did an awesome job !
Ahh thank you <3 <3 It was a fun fic to write and I've been meaning to write something like it for ages (since mid-2022 lol), so it was nice to put up at last :3 The movie was very inspiring XD
Yuri and Loid are so fun, and it was interesting to kind of try to double-down on how ridiculous they both are lol Yuri is so thirsty and Loid will do whatever it takes for the mission >:3
I'm glad you enjoyed it <3 <3 <3

(Ennead anon) ahh I see, thank you! Looking forward to that chapter. I’ve been really enjoying the deeper lore of this comic. There’s something bigger going on and so many threads in the background, like the fact that Ra is having children again while denouncing her kin for becoming too human, Sekhmet’s whole deal, FG’s whole deal, now these ancient gods that are becoming relevant to the story…
I’ve also been really loving Isis’s journey to acknowledging/accepting the monster that her husband was all along (and her feelings and actions That night).
There’s so many threads that Mojito’s weaving
You're welcome! Hope you enjoy the episode!
This got a little long.
I'm not sure what "something bigger" you're talking about is. In re: Ra having kids again, it's implied the goddesses in the temple Seth and Horus are in starting in S2E104 are decently old, at least by some years, since they were placed there to teach humans how to procreate back when humans were more primitive. If you mean Ra's baby with whom she was pregnant at the end of season 1, I'm not even sure that's all that relevant to the story since it hasn't been brought up since the end of season 1, so ~108+ episodes (at least not officially). Some folks theorize that the grape kid Seth keeps running into is that baby, but it's just a theory based on there not being many other kids to choose from (I kind of doubt it's one of the two other kids they talk to in Hermopolis).
I'm not sure what having children has to do with Ra denouncing her kin for becoming too human, since it sounds like you're implying she's hypocritical or something? Ra's whole deal is seemingly that she doesn't have to be pregnant in the way humans do. For all we know, she can reproduce by parthenogenesis, where an egg can be fertilized without sperm (or in some other way wherein she can just get pregnant without anyone else's help). In most myths, Ra gives birth to the first gods on his own, through means other than pregnancy (e.g., spit, ejaculate), and at least the opening of ENNEAD says this is the case, even if some of the narration in that format isn't true. So how she is able to be pregnant/have kids is possibly very non-human. If anything, humans imitate her with a modified version of pregnancy, since she, at least according to the myths in universe, had kids first (it's what happens when you create most things). Even if she had help, having children and potentially being pregnant isn't an innately human act. Animals do it, too.
Ra's issue with her descendants is that they're obsessed with stuff like marriage as concerns humans, which is screwing them over (S1E70). Marriage is a legal status created by governments. It's not something innate to existence. It's used to mark property and other rights, generally. In S1E70, when Ra says, "This is why I should've never made marriage", she also notes, "that may work for humans who only live for 30 or 40 years, but how can an immortal be expected to do that?" She explicitly made marriage for humans, not the immortals who are getting all fussy over it (e.g., Nephthys insisting she's to blame for everything Seth did because she cheated on Seth, which is bad because she's his wife). In her view, immortals should be allowed to sleep with whoever they want: "What's there to gain by being exclusive? When perfect beings tie themselves to imperfect bonds . . . their love is bound to cause bloodshed . . . Originally, such useless rules never existed for gods in matters of lived. . . . If you liked someone, you became lovers, and if you didn't like them anymore, you broke up." She's specifically saying that Seth and his siblings obsessing over following human rules on physical + romantic relations is an issue. If they didn't follow those rules, Nephthys and Osiris being together shouldn't, hypothetically, bother Seth and Isis, so it's a non-issue, and Anubis' parentage is also a non-issue, since all of them are responsible for raising him. Further, Ra insists that they shouldn't be trying to pretend to be humans (who have to follow human rules, like human marriage). This is allegedly tied to what Horus was talking about in S2E70, where Ra, worried about Thoth's prophecy, is still trying to discourage her descendants from destroying everything.
I say allegedly because Horus, as shown in the recent arc, can greatly misinterpret his intuition, so the conclusions he draws are really speculative if not wrong. That being said, there's possibly a grain of relevance in Ra being worried about the downfall of her descendants due to one particular child of Geb and Nut (as mentioned in S2E70), and it is and isn't related to the Ogdoad.
I don't personally think the Ogdoad stuff is part of the "something bigger" exactly so much as background world-building (I think it's notable they're all gone and their temples are in ruins, and most things Seth and Horus are uncovering seem to be related to Thoth, not the Ogdoad). In S2E78, Ra notes there are other creation gods. Mojito likes mythology, so she may just be exploring all the different gods. I'm not sure how ultimately relevant they'll be to the overall plot. But maybe they'll show up in some more important way, I guess. Maybe some of them are hanging out in Thoth's moon temple. Maybe they'll help in the fight with Osiris. Maybe they'll make FG go home. Maybe they'll help Horus and/or Seth ascend. Who knows?
Honestly how Hermopolis fell kind of has vibes of how Osiris essentially sabotaged his chunk of the pantheon. Potentially one person (one child of Geb and Nut) destroyed everything: Osiris struck down Ra, brainwashed Nephthys, drove Seth and Isis batty, helped lead his son to suicide, is a big part of why Horus has Issues TM, and as a result of Osiris' machinations, Seth destroyed a lot of temples and infrastructure, and now the humans are struggling and there's massive distrust for the gods. It's possible this is just a "this kind of happened before, and if we (Seth, Horus, FG, and maybe Isis and Anubis) don't stop it, it could happen to Heliopolis in a way far worse than what Seth did". Especially because Osiris is seemingly causing havoc in Duat and wants to drag Seth down there before he's done with his work. He's already on the road to destroying everything for good this time, since balance between the living and the dead is so important. Then the Ogdoad/Hermopolis stuff is just foreshadowing, not part of some bigger scheme.
I also think it's notable that in Hermopolis, a library, a place of records, was targeted by whatever past person destroyed it. Whatever Osiris did with Ra kind of shut her up for a bit, and he used an artifact from her hoard that no one knew about, allowing him to do his evil in secret. A good chunk of the story is other characters uncovering - in pieces - records of all the stuff Osiris did, and a central theme is recording, memory, hearsay, and propaganda. History in the eye of the beholder, something easily twisted (e.g., the narrator's frequent lies about Seth; Osiris testifying in half-truths about the night of usurpation; Isis twisting things so that she can punish Seth, sort of protect Osiris, and punish him in her own way; Horus' half-truths to Seth and himself through his misunderstandings of his intuition, lack of experience, and fear). The opening is literally a story within a story.
Osiris has a lot of the info, basically. He controls the narrative, still. He's beloved and respected by gods and humans alike. For centuries, he was working in secret doing stuff. But now, stuff is coming to light: Isis and Anubis are learning some of what he did. Anubis is hopefully going to be able to talk to Isis and Nephthys about what's happening in Duat. Horus is figuring out what happened with Nephthys, and because of all that, there's potential for Seth and Nephthys to realize just how much they were manipulated. Maat, as well, has a sort of realization here, especially if what Osiris is doing is worse than what Seth did (and I think in some ways it is). If Bastet realizes she's been had, she's not gonna be happy. A bunch of people are potentially about to realize they all share a common enemy, and there's an easy solution to dealing with that, especially with Ra and Sekhmet happy to support taking Osiris down.
A big chunk of season 2 is Seth being reminded of why he's a guardian deity, and that he still has a role to play in Egypt. He can't keep abandoning his duties. Between FG threatening to invade, Horus needing guidance, Isis struggling, and now this reminder of the potential worsening of their circumstances from without and without, as has happened before, I think Seth (and allies) will be galvanized to stop it before it happens again, which will cause Seth to be welcomed back by the other gods to some degree. Seth already knows Osiris is an issue, but once he learns about the mirror, I think he's going to be very charged towards, "We really need to deal with him, he's a danger to everyone," in a proper retaking his god of war title. He doesn't actually know how far back Osiris' treachery goes, or how bad Osiris' actions continue to be, and learning about all that will change some things.
Though I also think he might just head to Duat for revenge, especially since he already wants to go in order to save Anubis.
A shorter version of this is that ENNEAD as a whole narrative is sort of fanfiction of the myths of how Osiris went to Duat and the battle between Seth and Horus, and an important question is what happened the night Osiris died and why, because it's the subject of a lot of different myths. It's always been that mystery, whether it's Osiris obsessing over Seth for centuries, or Seth's - and Isis', Anubis', and Horus' - main trauma coming from Osiris' actions. I think the only "big" thing going on is that once people put the pieces of his actions together, Osiris is going to be dealt with, and people can go back to living their lives and restoring Egypt.
I'm not ignoring the ability of South Korean authors to bring in new and very complex lore and plots relatively late in a narrative, and maybe that'll happen, who knows, but I honestly think everything really ties back to what it's always been about, and it feels more complex than it is because most people in the story only have bits of the truth and aren't working together (and have various reasons and agendas for avoiding each other). Once the latter is fixed, and people work together to piece together what they know, things should smooth out.
I don't know that Isis is accepting Osiris as a monster so much as coming to grips with the fact that she still loves him and she can't keep loving him, or at least allow that love to dictate her actions. He was monstrous, and he was monstrous for a while, and Seth didn't make him that way. But yes, it is good she is coming to grips with the reality of the situation.
Detailed stories tend to be detailed, especially long ones, like ENNEAD, based on very complex mythology. But most of it is just world-building set-up. It's not honestly that complex when you get down to it. Currently, Seth, Horus, and FG are trying to get to Thoth (and Maat) to deal with FG's contract (and I think Seth wants to talk to Thoth for his own reasons, possibly for Anubis and what's what's up with Seth's curse bracelet). Horus just wants to be with Seth. Osiris is still hunting down Seth to claim him. Isis, Nephthys, and Khnum are trying to fix Anubis. Bastet (and maybe Sekhmet) is trying to help Hathor win over Horus, and Osiris is possibly trying to recruit Bastet for his ends, presumably for dragging Seth to Duat. The series was originally going to be two seasons, so I don't think there's necessarily a ton of story left to be added, it just takes time to tell, which is why it became 3 seasons (or at least that's my theory anyway; Mojito had the whole story outlined in advance and noted in a recent tweet that it's a matter of deciding what to leave in or not). The big events remaining are probably Seth learning about the mirror and how the fallout goes with Horus, some sort of reconciliation between Seth and Isis (maybe), Anubis getting his memories unblocked and his head unmixed-up, Horus ascending (maybe), Seth getting his powers back for good, Nephthys getting her memories back (maybe), a big battle with Osiris, FG returning home, and presumably Seth and Horus having their happy ending.

Do you know who’s the glowey figure hugging Seth in the Ch105 preview on tappytoon? I know Horus’s wings glow gold but I don’t recognize this silhouette….
The glowing figure in the preview for ENNEAD, Season 2, Episode 105 of the English translation on Tappytoon is an illusion created by a goddess in the temple Seth is in. She vaguely looks like Nephthys, but her hair and eyes are wrong, and her make-up looks more like Hathor (or at least her face reminds me of Hathor, which might be intentional because she's one of Hathor's sisters). It's not Horus at all.
This is the panel from the episode on Ridibooks (the Korean is up to Season 2, Episode 108; 105 came out in Korean in October). Also, Seth is actually embracing her. She's sitting in his lap and has her arms against him.
Horus' wings (this time from Season 2, Episode 104) glow a brighter golden/white. The illusion just has very bright blonde hair. You can see a little more of her in the Korean preview for this episode.
#fallfasks#ennead#ennead spoilers#I mean it's not really spoilers for an episode 3ish episodes behind the most recent one but eh#seth ennead#horus ennead#realizing I should link to my tumblr post of the preview rather than twitter cause witch routinely deletes their previews#link rot is depressing

Which character is your favorite from ALNST/Alien Stage? It seems you like it! ᐢᗜᐢ
I do like the series a lot XD I've written three fics for it and feel deeply humbled by the response to them, especially Consume Me. And I'd like to write more for it. I regularly check the tag for new fics, too! It's a wonderfully active fandom with a lot of great writers and so many great fanartists. And I put Blink Gone, Cure, Ruler of My Heart, and Black Sorrow on repeat a lot while I'm doing other stuff. The art book showed up recently and it was so fun to go through. The animation and art for the series are so incredible.
My favorite is Ivan, though I really love Till as well :D I have acrylics of them sitting on my shelf by my desk XD Everyone's really fun, though!
#fallfasks#alien stage#alnst#consume me was my copium fic after round 6 and I'm so honored other people liked it

OH OH im so sorry, that was very, very dumb of me.. but im asking about the ennead chapters! Sorry again for the inconvenience of me : (
It's all right! I get being too excited <3
Unfortunately I'm not sure which ENNEAD episodes you're talking about, because the Korean is ahead of everything else, I also read in English, and I'm not sure how many episodes you mean!
Spoilers for S2E107-8 of the manhwa below
I've enjoyed the last few episodes in Korean a lot (we'll say S2E107-8 for this). They're really great! The art is lovely, Seth and Horus are so sweet and fun together. I love that Horus got to call Seth by his name. The smut is awesome. I love when they clasp hands and cuddle. Seth is cute when he laughs, and Horus is so adorable when he's happy. It's just all fun! And I'm excited to see if we get more in 109 or something else, whatever comes (Seoul Comics kind of implied it's more smut based on their original contest, which was for 107-9, but who knows!). Horuseth is my favorite ship and it's fun to see them together like this and to see Horus admitting his love and Seth responding strongly to it :3 They're so in love and they're such a great couple. I'm excited to see where they go from here. It's nice to see that they both trust each other a lot, and Seth feels so comfortable and confident with Horus. Things could go really badly, depending on how Seth learns about the mirror stuff, but it could go a lot of ways, so who knows? I'm curious what Isis will think lol
I started a fic that's set after 108/9 that'll sort of just be a "what if" for how the story could end I guess? Just messing with information we know to pass time during the hiatus.
I've also enjoyed S2E99-100 as they've come out in English! It's nice to finally understand what was happening with the mirror and mirror!Nephthys, and what Horus' perspective is on it. I also really enjoy getting confirmation that Horus can misinterpret his intuition and that means the conclusions he comes to aren't necessarily accurate, and require a lot more fluidity in interpretation, and he has to take a better understanding of his own mental landscape and assumptions. It goes with the general theme of truth being in the eye of the beholder, and experience and bias framing what you view as "truth", and it humanizes Horus in a neat way (he's very fallible). It's also interesting seeing more into Nephthys' character, like how she was before the mirror, and what her relationship with Seth is like, and hints at what she might be like if her memories are restored.
I'm also curious if Mojito is going to keep pairing up Anubis and Khnum. Anubis is a love interest for Seth but he's not the endgame love interest (that's Horus), so Anubis has the potential to be paired off with someone else, and she keeps connecting these two. These shots in S2E100 are particularly pointed, especially since the last time Anubis was like this, he was attacking Seth.
The second shot reminds me of a scene from one of my Khnubis fics in a minor way, which is fun, too lol
There's just some interesting posing here and as someone who likes Khnubis as a ship, but honestly wasn't sure we'd get more of them, let alone have them be potentially endgame, it's been a fun time in fandom :3 I'm still not sure they'll be endgame, but I can dream XD
And I'm looking forward to seeing the translations of the other episodes! We're getting double updates for at least the next two updates in English, and I hope that means it might catch up enough to get us simultaneous publication/near-"simulpub" alongside the Korean, rather than the current schedule, which would be five episodes behind the Korean when the Korean comes off hiatus on December 20th. If the double updates keep going, we could be at simulpub on January 20th, or even just one episode behind if it goes back to single episodes then instead. It's never been simulpub or near-simulpub the entire time I've been in fandom, and it'd be so nice to have official English translations in ~14-15 hours after the new Korean episode drops (the English updates ~14-15 hours after the Korean, so even if they were on the same episode, it'd still be a little later). Even just being one episode behind would be such a nice change.
Hope you're enjoying the episodes too <3

(Sorry if you get this ask 2 times, my device is lagging pretty badly..)
It is sometimes said, about another god, Wepwawet, that his father is Seth. But Wepwawet isn’t even present in Ennead, (yet?). Some are saying this is because he will appear, to be Seth and Horus’s child. May I ask what you think of and or believe in this theory, and if you don’t, what you think of why Wepwawet isn’t present?
I only saw one ask so you're fine <3
The answers to this that I can share are complicated, and I am not a historian, theologian, Egyptologist, or mythology expert, particularly with Wepwawet, nor am I a follower of Kemetism (the religion that worships the ancient Egyptian gods), but I shall do my best. I also only joined the fandom in late 2021, and ENNEAD began around 2017/maybe a little earlier, and Mojito seemingly deleted most of her online presence (including the original site the comic was on and most of her public social media stuff) prior to my joining the fandom, so my knowledge of fandom history prior to my joining it is based on what I've dug up and asked other fans from that time. So just take what I write with many, many, many grains of salt.
The mythology
I'm not sure where you're looking, but a lot of people in fandom rely on Wikipedia, which lists Seth and Nephthys as Wepwawet's parents. I don't know where Wikipedia got that from, other than, at least in some instances in the mythology, Wepwawet is claimed to be a child of Nephthys (not with Seth, purely Nephthys alone), and Nephthys was sometimes married to Seth (so people assume that Nephthys had a child with her husband, Seth, which, as we know, is not true in ENNEAD in re: Anubis). I read one of the articles the Wikipedia page cites, which is Wepwawet in Context: A Reconsideration of the Jackal Deity and Its Role in the Spatial Organization of the North Abydos Landscape from Journal of the American Research Center in Egypt (2007) by Mary-Ann Pouls Wegner, which, to my recollection, doesn't mention his parentage at all, or at least doesn't mention Seth (but if you make a free account on JSTOR, you can read the article in full for free and see yourself, I would highly recommend it, it's a neat article).
From a general search elsewhere, there's no clear indication of who his parents are. Jenny Hill's page on Wepwawet doesn't mention Sutekh/Set/Seth at all in the article, though she notes that Wepwawet's origin and family changed over time as belief systems changed and merged, like all the gods, as groups of people came together through marriage, trade, war, etc. He has apparently been noted at times as the father and/or brother of Anpu/Anubis, the son of Osiris and Nephthys, the son of Isis, sometimes even with connections to Horus... It just depends. He's also sometimes viewed as a sort of parallel to Anubis and Osiris (The Complete Gods and Goddesses of Ancient Egypt by Richard H. Wilkinson (2003) 191-2). Since Anubis is sometimes viewed as a child of Seth, so too is Wepwawet (though as we know in ENNEAD, being Anubis' brother doesn't de facto make you Seth's child, as Anubis and Horus are half-brothers through their father Osiris, and both are Seth's biological nephews, not his biological sons). He's also sometimes connected to Ra.
In sum: there really isn't anything I can find, from a historical and mythological standpoint, about Wepwawet specifically being Seth's child in mythology (other than by association with Nephthys and/or Anubis), let alone Horus' child and/or Horus' child with Seth. This is not particularly relevant for fanworks or fan theories or ENNEAD, all of which can do whatever they want, but that's what I found.
The fandom perception
One thing to know about this fandom is that mpreg is popular in it, as are child OCs (and, to a degree, omegaverse, but not all omegaverse has mpreg and not all mpreg is omegaverse, nor did omegaverse originate the concept of mpreg). Many folks in the fandom latch onto any character, particularly actual gods they can find who might somehow be Seth's child so they can have Seth have more children/actual biological children (particularly children who are gods). Any commentary from fans that Wepwawet will appear in the manhwa, possibly because he hasn't yet, is honestly baseless speculation and wishful thinking and/or them talking about their own fanworks without making it clear. I don't think he's ever been mentioned anywhere in the manhwa, and so far as I am aware, Mojito has never commented on it. If Mojito has mentioned Wepwawet somewhere, particularly in context of his showing up in the manhwa, either I've just not seen it or it has otherwise been lost to her mass deletion of most of her public social media presence outside her twitter account some years ago.
Wepwawet is popular in fandom I think because:
Anubis is popular and Wepwawet is often associated with him
The idea of Anubis having a brother with similar abilities is popular, especially if Wepwawet is a rival/otherwise makes Anubis jealous/can work as a teacher
The idea of Anubis having a brother, older or younger, is popular, or even possibly being a twin
People like dogs
People like how it's sort of a black-and-white thing because Wepwawet has a sort of opposite color scheme to Anubis (to differentiate them in art)
People just like Wepwawet as a mythological figure, some also worship him
Omegaverse is popular and it sometimes involves wolves
There are just a lot of reasons this character in particular is popular in fandom, particularly as a child OC for fanworks. Generally, though, he's not the most popular fan child (that's usually the Four Sons of Horus or fully made-up characters, though I admit I don't really keep track of it).
I have seen no indication that Mojito plans to have Seth and Horus be parents of anyone (other than Seth being Anubis' father, and maybe a cat dad; he's friendly with the three human children he's met, but there's a difference between being a protector god/being friendly with children, and being a father). Horuseth being parents, either through adoption or mpreg, is popular in fanworks, often due to folks liking/knowing of The Contendings of Horus and Seth, which is from 1147 BCE, and features a story of Horus and Seth fighting, wherein Seth eats Horus' semen and later during a trial, Thoth (in some versions) is born (often from Seth's forehead). ENNEAD!Osiris preparing to impregnate Seth by feeding him the power of creation (which Osiris did not actually accomplish because he was interrupted by his own lust and Seth in S01E42, and then he used the power on himself in S1E48), has only encouraged a chunk of fandom's desire for mpreg. That both the mythological Seth and Horus, depending on the story, have a variety of kids to pick from (but usually not with each other, outside maybe Thoth) only helps.
Allegedly, Mojito said there would be no more about mpreg in the manhwa than what Osiris attempted, though I'm not sure where she said it, under what context, or what she specifically said. Mojito's alleged words here are from fandom repetition (what people in fandom have told me, and I believe what they were told by other people; the Discord I first learned this in is locked and was dying when I left it some years ago). What we do know is that the story universe has a built-in rule that male gods cannot create children, only female gods can, because only female gods have the power of creation (S1E48, S1E70, S2E78). As Osiris is the god of life, and even he couldn't get around this rule without trading Nephthys for her power of creation, I don't know how exactly Horus would get around it in canon (heck, we honestly don't even know if Osiris' plan would have been successful, given he failed a lot (S2E78)). In my own mpreg fanfic with Horuseth, I just messed around with it because Horus is a sun god (like Ra) and so Just That Special and Seth is a shapeshifter, and Horus got messed around with the magic mirror, which has (in the fanfic), Hathor's magic on it. (and Wepwawet is not in that story, Horuseth's child is someone else). But I don't honestly believe that or anything similar to it will happen in canon. Otherwise, I just did the one eggpreg story by doing a Venom crossover, which doesn't rely on the rules of ENNEAD, as Seth is human and Horus is an alien parasite.
But regardless of what Mojito said, that doesn't stop the fact that mpreg is at least presented as a possibility in the story, and that encourages folks to wish for more, especially as it's been years and maybe her opinions on the matter changed.
In sum: there is no evidence Mojito will add Wepwawet in any capacity to the manhwa, let alone as a child of Horuseth, or Seth alone, and little to none she will add in mpreg or make Horuseth parents. Wepwawet as an OC of sorts in varying capacities is a relatively popular fan conceit, though.
My thoughts on the theories/fanworks
Folks are free to imagine whatever they want for headcanons! Folks have fun making child OCs and writing mpreg stories, and I wish them the best of luck (I had fun with my own mpreg and eggpreg stories, though I don't have more planned). This particular fan idea of Wepwawet as either the child of Seth and/or the child of Horuseth is, unfortunately, not my cup of tea. It also has no basis in canon, very little if any in the mythology I'm aware of, and Mojito has not hinted at it being a thing, now or ever, so I think it is extremely unlikely to happen in canon. I also honestly hope it doesn't happen in canon, purely because Horuseth having babies/children outside my brief time with the idea in the fanfic I wrote (mostly as a writing challenge) is not something I'm into, but if Mojito writes it, I'm sure it'll be interesting.
For folks who love it, though, there are a number of people who are into it, so that's awesome for folks who like it and want fanworks of it!
I actually think Wepwawet sort of gets referenced in See You My King, an unrelated boys love manhua by Wen Yuan that sometimes uses Egyptian mythology as a base, as Mohemisi (who has dark hair) is very aligned with Anubis (and Horus), and he has an older brother, Hattsutter, who has white hair, so it's possible Wen Yuan is using the story of Anubis and Wepwawet as brothers.
Hattsutter was also reborn as "Anubis" (with the help of a human clearly masquerading as Seth), who is made out of white energy. But SYMK focuses on different mythology (when it does so at all), and Anubis is much more central to the narrative as Mohemisi is one of the leads and the sole love interest for the protagonist, whereas Anubis in ENNEAD is a side character and non-principal love interest of the story protagonist. But if people want Wepwawet stuff... well, it's sort of there, I suppose?
Why I think Wepwawet is not present in the manhwa
The simple answers: Wepwawet is not present in the manhwa because Egyptian history and mythology is huge and Mojito cannot include everything as that is literally impossible, and the story is also not about him so it's less likely he'll show up.
We as humans struggle to comprehend just how long Egypt has existed in some form. It is thousands of years old (there's a viral post floating around tumblr somewhere about how ancient it is). It has a great number of gods and immortal beings in its culture and mythology and many, many stories about them, many of which we only have fragments of, but we sure do have a lot of them. It is quite literally impossible for one manhwa to focus on all of them, particularly when the manhwa is focusing on Horus and Seth, not every god in existence. Mojito is writing a boys love comic, not a history of Egyptian mythology. Hamish Steele actually did a robust job in trying to cobble together a graphic novel that covered a great deal of the known myths in all their often conflicting glory (again, different gods were worshiped different ways over time: e.g., Horus and Seth have been brothers and uncle/nephew and completely unrelated; also there are many falcon gods named Horus). And even Steele couldn't cover everything (I don't think Wepwawet is in there, either), and he accomplished his work mostly through humor and not focusing overmuch on any particular character (though much time is given to Seth, Isis, and Horus), whereas ENNEAD is more focused on drama (albeit with humorous moments). So again: Wepwawet is likely not in ENNEAD because Mojito cannot cover everything, and the number of things she has chosen to cover simply does not include him, at least not yet. That doesn't mean she won't, but it doesn't mean she will, either. He's not the only Egyptian immortal being who hasn't shown up in some form.
Wepwawet is also likely not in the story because the story is not about him. He is not closely connected to Horuseth, he is connected to, if anyone, Anubis, and sometimes Nephthys and Osiris. If he shows up, it will likely be as a shadow figure or side character with no lines, as a number of other gods have seemingly showed up, like in S01E20 and a few other places:
(The assumption is this is showing gods like Serket, Ptah, Sebek, Seshat, Min or Amun, Anukhet, and some other gods surrounding Isis in the middle)
It's a way for Mojito to incorporate more mythology without dedicating a ton of story time to it, and keeping the focus on the central cast. Though considering the similarities in their silhouettes, he'd probably just show, if he does at all, as a side character in color, so the audience can tell it's not Anubis.
If there is a trip to Duat, I think Wepwawet may show up in some form. He may not. Who knows! He could show up as a mentor for Anubis, an ally in Duat, or something else. He also might not show up at all because two jackal gods is kind of confusing, and he could overshadow Anubis. We already have a prevalence of cat gods (e.g., Tefnut, Sekhmet, Bastet). But that Mojito is willing to include similar gods does show she'd potentially be willing to show other gods similar to Anubis.
That was long, but that's all my thoughts on that. Thank you for asking <3
#fallfasks#ennead#wepwawet#mpreg#not gonna touch on how too many folks assume everyone in the fandom is into mpreg#when like um no#as someone who is into mpreg and will likely write it again elsewhere I enjoy it in specific circumstances#not all of them#that's not to lambast folks who are into it more than I am#I just have never seen the way some fans treat it in all my years of dealing with fanbabies in fandoms not dedicated to pregnancy#it's very strange#think it'd be less of an issue if the fandom weren't so small#but alas#and tbh the unexpected was partially written so folks would stop bugging me to write horuseth mpreg#it was a fun fic#I just have complex feelings about it#fallfthoughts
