Everything is connected, so that might have been obvious.
[Quite the lovely change of events happened here!! I can’t really get into FC5 atm so I wasn’t planning on doing anything with it on this plant thing, but HERES THE DEAL. I’ve got a FC3 oc (right side) named Datura, right? I’m lookin it up at random, and it turns out that the flowers that are keeping Faith (left side) absolutely faded are brugmansia. This flower is in the same species as datura!! And, in an even more shocking turn of events, brugmansia is also known as “Angel’s Trumpet” while datura is also known as “Devil’s Trumpet”!!!!!! HOLY. HECK. HOW DID THE STARS ALIGN THIS WELL?????? So, seizing this opportunity, I just had to draw them together. I know the FC5 fandom is prty big here so I hope y’all dig this!!
I am finally finished with one of my biggest projects, both as a celebration of the FC5 anniversary and a sort of homage to the amazing FC5 community that keeps me coming back and keeps me inspired <3
The whole comic was inspired by one singular hearing of this song and it has kept me tied to the computer for a week
Context and some explanation under the cut:
The idea is that while walking through a field of dandelions Noah finds one dandelion clock. He picks it up to make a wish, and as he takes a breath to blow it out a wish he isn't particularly fond of pops into his head. That wish is being with Joseph.
Having his 'I won't say I'm in love' moment Noah discards the intrusive thought right with the dandelion. But whether he likes it or not, the wish is made when the wind takes the seeds away.
And be it coincidence or God's will the one last seed lands on Joseph's bible, on a particular name. And the man himself being the Voice hearing prophet, he just knows. And with the single dandelion seed, he too makes a wish. :)
What was victory in a holy war? Everyone was a martyr. Words such as 'sacrifice' and 'faith' were poisoned, sat salty and bitter on his tongue.
Eli Palmer left the glowing wall of surveillance screens to follow the sounds of warm laughter, to see what inspired such a moment of fragile humanity in the late hours of the Wolf's Den.
She was sat atop the back of the couch, a throne of sorts as the golden light above haloed her hair. A goddess of war and orphans, Eli might've considered Cappie to be holy in her own right, as devout as he was to her smile.
"Come here!" beckoned Cappie, parting her legs to give him room. "Come stay a while!"
Other Whitetails saw their leader lingering in the doorway, baited him with a cold beer and a flurry of waving hands, and damn was Eli so, so tired.
What was victory in a holy war?
It was fleeting. It was an exhausted smile shared amongst friends. It was tight shoulders weighed down by a lover's thighs, and lover's hands over a steady heartbeat. It was thanks pressed into the rim of a beer bottle and a toast to live another day.
The end of the Project's holy war was nowhere in sight, but in that moment on the couch surrounded by friends, Eli Palmer felt victorious.
My 1st CappiEli art ♥️ I am so proud of this and overjoyed with how it came out!
