We’re talking like TOPS. Like this is low brow smut. The lowest brow smut.
I write them both ways round, but I’m not sure what the general consensus is.

The “I’d like to put some real time into writing my fanfic this summer” has not particularly precipitated (none of my summer goals have precipitated except for “have the house packed for moving,” which is has no choice but to finish precipitating this weekend).
But! I am back from camping, which involved a lot of top tier “thinkin’ about blorbo” time while hiking and driving. 🥰 I’ve come to the conclusion that I’m never gonna finish this fic and instead will end up writing some kind of weird, experimental story that is “there is an entire story behind this somewhere but I only wrote the Akon lines” because it feels like I mostly have only written the Akon lines and whenever I think about it I just end up with more Akon lines.
Brain, Akon only has *one POV chapter* please give me Renji lines instead I’m begging you
Still, outside of the preponderance of Akon lines, l feel like I’ve made important progress around the conceit of the fic/how the mythos logic works and that’s super exciting! Both in terms of like, tiny little narrative fascia/plot logic scenes that link one thing to the next, which are always so very satisfying, and also me realizing the logical consequences of the mythology I myself have set up but didn’t actually... process. Because it occurred to me in the car yesterday that the entire conceit seems like it would have some intense repercussions for Rukia, and I was like oh shit lol if it isn’t the consequences of my own storyline, which I absolutely had not foreseen and now feels obvious. So I need to figure out how those repercussions work. I hope they don’t have to be too intense, because I am already self conscious about the levels of Blorbo Misery in this fic.
Hiking pic for inspo, even though this isn’t really what the fic setting looks like, and summer is not the right season for their trip, either:
