Fell into the trap of following a trend :) I have been seeing these funky handmade balaclavas around lately and I thought it might be nice to have one. I followed a pattern by Petite Knit and used some yarn laying around in my stash. So far, obsessed!

Rubber soles
We could debate the aesthetics of sneaker-shoes, or their appropriateness as Oval Office wear. In fact, the debate is already raging, touched off off by this photo of a White House meeting.
The hybrid footwear appears to be losing the argument.
“Awful,” declared Yank-Yi Goh, style director of GQ. “The hybrid is the worst possible choice ... You’re trying to pass this tech-y monstrosity off as a proper dress shoe.”
Jim Moore, another GQ staffer quoted in the New York Times, said, “When you see a guy strutting through the city in a suit and your eye reaches the sneaker, the whole look collapses.”
Yeah, you expect a man in a suit and tie to be wearing a pair of buffed wingtips, but, leaving aside the aesthetics of it, the thing that amazes me is the speed with which the trend is spreading. I first began noticing “dress sneakers” on suited men a few months ago - mainly on the floor of the House or Senate.
Now the white soles are everywhere.

saying it rn . the “ideal female body type” is about to switch from curvy to 2000s skinny . this is due to the surge in y2k fashion and the resurgence of low rise waistlines . it’ll feature young women like olivia rodrigo and emma chamberlain and no doubt the hadids will begin to fall under this as aesthetic figureheads as well
wait actually i want to throw this in the main post
