Soo yuurivoice just finished his stream and he said something about Auron that got me thinking. He said that that big fuck-off tower painting behind him had meaning, and he discarded the whole fairytale Rapunzel thing. The only other tower reference (that I know of) is The Tower from the Major Arcana in tarot.

Upright, The Tower signifies destruction, a shaking of foundations, a great change to come, all due to external circumstances outside of ones control. It’s the reason many are scared of getting this card during a reading but the great change in itself doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a bad thing. It’s just something that will make your life go topsy turvy.

Reversed, it signifies that the great change that will alter your life will come from within yourself, a change in ideals, methods, way of thinking, etc.

So, seeing as this latest Auron video takes place (supposedly) around the same time as the Bittersweet storyline, the whole Tower symbolism could have to do with the fact that Auron’s business could go belly up (because of Derek and the confrontation with Boo/Sugar), or that his newfound, strange relationship with the Rookie will change something within himself. The other significant option has to do with the only other character with a connection to tarot, Faust. Maybe something about their relationship will change so significantly that their whole world turns upside down.

But who knows! We’ll have to wait and see. Hell, maybe it’ll be all three options at once.
