please don’t blink - nomu!deku
i-i hope it’s okay i wrote stuff for this au... i saw a lotta fanwork and got inspired so i threw this together in thirty minutes.
check out the complete au by @garbageisland-0. it’s so beautiful and so fuckign sad it’s 2am here and i am in tears
Izuku breathes in sharply, his senses coming back to him in waves.
He’s scared, but this feeling overtakes him for less than a second. A quick blink and he realizes the shift in his surroundings; no longer is he strapped to the table, restraints wrapped around his arms and legs.
No longer is Izuku alone with the man identified as All For One.
He blinks rapidly, taking his time to study his whereabouts. Wary, Izuku takes a step towards the door behind him before a monotonous voice stops him dead in his tracks.
“I wouldn’t wander too far, Midoriya.”
The hero-in-training flinches at the agonizingly familiar scorn in that voice. But, for once, the scorn is absent and Izuku is almost able to sense… sympathy? Pity, was it? He was never good at reading Aizawa’s undertones—really, he wasn’t very good at reading anyone.
“M-Mr. Aizawa,” Izuku breathes out shakily, his shoulders slumping when he turns, met with the (somehow reassuring, in the moment) chilling figure of his teacher. “Wh… what happened? Where am I? I-I—this isn’t… was I-”
Aizawa hushes him with a narrow of his eyes. It takes Izuku a moment before he clamps his mouth shut, eyes widening when he notices the bright red glow in the pupils of his teacher’s eyes.
“Y-your quirk,” Izuku states, vocalizing his thoughts. He’s unable to follow his teacher’s demands, mind whirring a mile a minute with his realizations. “You’re using your quirk, Mr. Aizawa. Why?”
“There is not much time for this conversation, Midoriya,” Aizawa sighs, feeling dryness chipping at the corners of his scleras. “And I assume you have a lot of questions. A lot of emotions. Feelings.”
Izuku is unable to comprehend what Aizawa was trying to bring to his attention. He blinks once more, a feat that grows more tempting to the U.A. teacher with each passing second. “I-I have a lot of memories, but they’re foggy. I remember a lot of pain. A lot of… emptiness. Wh… what happened to me, Mr. Aizawa?”
He’s able to notice the awkward shift in posture his teacher takes, almost as though he wants to avert his stare. Aizawa refuses to break his eye-contact with his student, wishing he could keep the effects of his quirk activated without the lingering stare.
I’m sorry, Midoriya. I’ve failed you.
    “Mr. Aizawa…?”
“I am sorry, Midoriya.” Aizawa’s voice is threateningly close to breaking, and Izuku’s green eyes shrink with fear at the weakness he exploits. “I… truly am sorry for what has happened.”
Izuku opens his mouth to ask what he it is he’s apologizing for, but then it all comes back to him in a flash.
The Nomu. The torture. The pain.
Tears immediately form in his eyes and before Izuku knows it, he’s wrapped himself around his teacher. He longs for the embrace of someone while he can still comprehend the flurry of emotion it brings. He clings tightly, almost shocking Aizawa into blinking.
“P-please,” Izuku’s voice has broken, the twist on vulnerability stunning the Pro Hero for a second. He shudders as he takes in a breath, practically trembling while his arms were wrapped around Aizawa’s waist.
    “I remember everything. Please, Mr. Aizawa, please… please don’t blink. I-I don’t know what I’ll do. I don’t want to go back. Y-you can’t do this to me… please…”
His words shatter Aizawa’s heart. The dark-haired hero grits his teeth tightly in order to refrain from both blinking or crying.
His eyes sting from the dryness. Their time is running out.
Aizawa opens his mouth to speak, only to be interrupted by Izuku’s muffled sobbing.
“I can’t be lost inside of my own mind anymore! Y-you can’t just abandon me! D-d-don’t leave me, Mr. Aizawa, please…” Izuku’s voice breaks and the only thing muffling the silence of the room is his hiccups between the crying.
“I don’t want to go back. I-I can’t go back. Don’t leave me.”
Aizawa sucks in a breath—the first noise he’s made for the last few seconds. His eyes are practically half-shut by now, but he finds the willpower to keep them open. He feels the tears prickling at his already-dry eyes, and Aizawa can’t even react when they begin rolling down his cheeks.
Fuck—Aizawa never cries.
But this… this was heart-wrenching.
Aizawa places his hand behind Izuku’s head gently but firmly, pressing the boy into the cloth of his shirt as he bawls his eyes out. He feels the moisture of his shirt pressing against his skin, though Aizawa doesn’t shift uncomfortably. He wraps his other hand around Izuku’s shoulders, offering a weak attempt at consolation.
“Midoriya.” Aizawa’s sudden calling—and the firmness he has in his voice—shocks Izuku into a temporary silence. His tears are still running and seeping into Aizawa’s shirt, but the sobs stifle. “...I’m going to need you to do me a favor. It’ll be easy, I promise.”
Izuku sniffles in response, clinging tighter to his teacher.
“I won’t leave you, Midoriya. Nobody will leave you… I promise. But please, do this for me. One more act of heroism. Show me that strength, boy. I know you have it in you.”
Through the trembling, Aizawa can identify the faint nod of Izuku’s head. Despite the tears that have stained his cheeks and the pain of his strained eyes, Aizawa speaks in his normal, monotonous voice.
“Close your eyes, Midoriya. Close them, and do not open them until I tell you to.”
Aizawa cradles the boy closer to his chest, feeling his constant trembling. The mere sight of his student, the confident influencer of Class 1-A, reduced to this…
Aizawa felt like he’d failed.
He’s about to continue, ask if his eyes were closed like he’d asked, but he hears something. Mumbling—Izuku’s strange habit of it, in fact. He hears the brokenness of his voice in his pitch, barely able to make out the wisps of words he uttered.
“Please don’t blink. Please don’t blink. Please. Don’t. Blink.”
Izuku murmured these words to himself like a prayer.
While they seemed to be an earnest last request to his teacher, it was also his only beacon of hope. Izuku’s last moment of coherency; his final words that he’d have the ability to control. His comfort in hoping that Aizawa would save him, as heroes are meant to do.
“Midoriya… are your eyes closed?” Aizawa chokes out after another moment, his eyes eerily close to squinting. “Don’t be afraid. Close your eyes, please.”
Silence. Then a hiccup, and a whisper of a response from Izuku:
“Please… don’t forget about me while I’m gone.”
And that’s when Aizawa loses it. His composure, the endurance he has in using his quirk. A simple blink of his eyes and he feels Izuku go limp in his grasp, face still wet with tears but eyes devoid of feeling.
He doesn’t need to look at the student to know that vacant expression is there.
Aizawa wraps his arms around Izuku tighter, screwing his eyes shut as his hair falls back onto his shoulders. Tears stream freely down his face and the hero contemplates using his quirk once more—if only to grant his student release from the torture he was subject to.
But he doesn’t.
And it completely shatters Aizawa to refrain from doing so. He felt as though he denied the pledge he’d made as a hero to save anyone. Although, doing that would only bring Midoriya more pain. More suffering. Another moment of consciousness to lament over his loss.
Instead, Aizawa sucks in a deep breath and doesn’t let go of Midoriya. He apologizes countless times, hoping to earn some sort of response from the Nomu-turned-student. And countless times, Aizawa is met with a tormenting silence.
“We won’t forget you, Midoriya. We will never forget you.”
And at that, a last tear trickles down Izuku’s cheek.

The Boss’ Girl Ch. 10
Lee Minwoo (Shinhwa) X Reader X Jeon Jungkook (BTS)
(Feat. Yoon Dujun (Highlight), Kim Dongwan (Shinhwa))
Office!AU

Ch. 9 | Ch. 11
Mina and Jungkook have been officially dating for two weeks.  Like any gossip, the whole company knows about it the day after.  Mina wasn’t shy to tell all of the secretaries as soon as Jungkook gave her the okay.  They teased you a bit for the boy finally dropping his effort with you.  You thank Mina for taking him.
By now the flutter around the new couple has settled.  As a couple they aren’t super lovey dovey at work.  Being in different departments means they don’t see each other often.  The only painful part is Mina twittering about their dates every time the girls get together.  They’ve been on three dates so far, all of them completely planned by Jungkook.
Mina always drones on dreamily about how much of an old romantic Jungkook is.  They’ve barely gone passed first base in a month.  You’re the only one who doesn’t gush over her stories.  You can’t even remember the last time a guy took you out on some sappy rom-com date and that’s more than fine.
The best part of their dating is how much your office life goes back to normal.  Jungkook still comes nearly every day to drop off papers but there are no more little notes to you.  He’s turned confident and casual with you, not cold or unfriendly just professionally amicable.  Your elevator rides out of the office are once again solo trips.
Upon hearing the news, Minwoo simply said he was glad your little problem was resolved.  He rewarded you well for the accomplishment that next weekend.
Saturday is the first company versus company soccer game of spring.  Minwoo and Dongwan have been organizing their teams for the last 8 years.  The companies meet once a month from March to September.  They say it’s great team building but it’s more another way for the two to compete.
Minwoo has been so excited to show off Jungkook.  He’s the best player for the team in a long time.  Dongwan has an employee, Dujun, that lives, breaths, and sleeps soccer.  Dongwan’s company has been winning the year end award for 3 years in a row.  Minwoo is hoping Jungkook can be his key to victory this year.
These soccer games are so important to Minwoo that he matches game weekends with your menstrual cycle.  He doesn’t go out the Friday night before a game and doesn’t have you over to play.
Early Saturday morning he warms up with a short jog.  He comes home to you sitting at the kitchen island sipping a cup of coffee.  There’s some egg scramble and his favorite smoothie waiting for him beside you.  He doesn’t even have coffee in case it upsets his stomach or gives him a caffeine crash during the game.
The soccer turf is still slightly damp with melting frost when you arrive.  The morning air has a chill even though it’s nearly eleven.  Minwoo meets Dongwan and a few others out stretching on the field.  You go to the small bleachers on the side.  Most of the interns, a few of the secretaries, and a couple other employees are already huddled in groups on the cold benches.  There’s usually a good turn out of spectators.  Partly because lunch is provided and partly for the female employees to watch the hottest guys in the office run around and sweat.
The secretaries wave you over.  They have a few big blankets draped over their laps and offer you one end.  Proving your point of why they’re here,  Yoona is pouting that there won’t be much sweating in this weather.
Ten minutes after eleven the stands are fairly full and almost all the players are ready.  Mina and Jungkook arrive soon after.  Jungkook walks Mina over to the seats.  They bow and say good morning to everyone.  Jungkook looks you up and down, his gaze lingering a bit too obviously.  You raise a brow in question and he snaps out of it.
“I've never seen you all not dressed in office attire.”  He grins sheepishly and you all giggle.  Of course it must be a big change to see everyone dressed so casually.  “Surprise we're actually normal humans on the weekends.”  Sooji teases.  “You're still pretty of course.”  He adds rubbing his neck and looking to Mina if that was okay to say.  She laughs right along.
Minwoo calls Jungkook to stop flirting and come get ready.  He asks Mina to watch his duffle bag and pulls his sweatshirt off over his head. Jungkook mentally scolds himself for thinking you looked so cute and feminine in a big puffy sweater dress and thermal leggings.  Your makeup is much lighter, just mascara and tinted lip balm.  Your hair always perfectly coiffed in neat corporate fashion is down in a loose braid.  Maybe this is what you might have looked like in college.  It shakes him up more than he's comfortable admitting.
Without the baggy sweatshirt you all get an eyeful of Jungkook outside of work attire.  He’s wearing a form fitting long sleeve athletic top paired with skin-tight leggings and soccer shorts.  Even with the shorts you can tell the boy is hard lean muscle from head to toe.
“Quit drooling you hyenas.”  Mina scolds you all.  Jungkook looks cutely confused, making his baby face clash with his body.  Mina pats his shoulder and pushes him toward the field.  “Have fun and good luck.  We’ll be cheering for you!”  He jogs off with a wave.  Minwoo introduces him to Dongwan, Dujun, and some of the others.
Standing next to each other you can’t help but compare Minwoo and Jungkook.  Minwoo is wearing a very similar outfit.  The biggest difference is his slightly thicker shirt is neon green as opposed to Jungkook’s all black attire.  Minwoo is also a good bit shorter but looks much more manly and commanding.  He’s just as muscled and fit, his strong jaw and slight stubble give him a much more mature look.  You think to yourself that you’ve got the better of the two.
It’s a close game from the start.  Jungkook is a huge help to slow down Dujun.  The two are always on each other.  Dujun only beating him with experience.  He knows better where to run, when to pass, and how to fake out.  Jungkook keeps up by sheer stamina and athleticism.  Dongwan and Minwoo cover each other in equal fever.
At the half point break the game is 1-0, Dongwan’s team winning.  Jungkook comes over for his water bottle.  The poor boy is panting and slumps on the bleacher in front of you.  “They really play seriously.”  He huffs. “You’re doing great though.”  Mina grabs the towel out of his bag and dabs at the sweat around his face and neck.  He smiles and lavishes in her doting.  A group of girls behind you from the other company are thoroughly upset at the scene.  The cute newbie already has a girlfriend.
The ref blows the whistle to end the break.  With a groan Jungkook gets back up and goes back to the field.  It’s obvious Jungkook and Dujun are tiring each other out.  Jungkook blocks Dujun’s pass and your team makes a goal.  It’s nearing 1 when the lunch delivery shows up.  As always you get up and take charge of where they set up the table of food and signing the receipt.
A cacophony of shouts and cheers are coming from the stands.  You turn back to watch the end of the match.  Kim Yongmin of your accounting office passes the ball to Minwoo.  Dongwan intercepts the pass and runs it to their side.  Minwoo is on his heels trying to reclaim the ball.  Dongwan struggles but makes a pass to Dujun.  Jungkook is right there to stop him.  There’s a long struggle.  Dujun fakes left and kicks a back pass to their shooter.
In the last second they make their goal.  The ref blows with whistle to end the game.  Dongwan’s team runs together cheering.  Your office team stops to catch their breath.  Both teams shake hands for a good game.
The food delivery offers different beautiful lunch boxes and hot barley tea.  There's plenty of food for the hungry players to get as many boxes as they want.  It's all delicious but having to watch Mina coo over Jungkook scarfing down 3 whole boxes diminishes your appetite.  The boy beams and blushes at nearly every doting praise.  You're sitting with Minwoo and Dongwan only a few feet away trying to ignore the sickening scene.
Kim Sangmin the head of financing approaches the three of you, thankfully giving you something else to focus on.  “Sir.  The Beyond company president is on the phone.  They're not happy with the budgeting proposal.”  Minwoo sighs deeply at this but takes the cell phone from him.  He stands and walks out onto the field to finish the call.  From here you can see how irritated he is and with good reason.  The CEO for Beyond cosmetics is an intolerable old miser.  If he weren't such a big customer Minwoo would've dropped their contracts years ago.
Minwoo ends the call and comes back to where you're waiting.  “He's unhappy with the project meant to launch on Monday we're having an emergency meeting at 3. That gives you about an hour to collect everything you need, get detailed spreadsheets reprinted, and be in the main conference room ready to stick your pitch to them.  Did you have anyone else working with you on this?”  Minwoo gives these instructions all while handing back the phone, cleaning up his lunch, and pulling on his jacket.
“Yes, sir.  Jeon Jungkook worked with me on this.”  Sangmin replies.  Minwoo gives the faintest smirk then calls over to the intern.  “Jungkook!”  He jumps to attention right away.  “Yes?”  “We're having an emergency meeting with Beyond.  Come along and help Sangmin.”  The boy looks shocked but grabs his things right away.  He says a quick goodbye to Mina while Minwoo says goodbye to Dongwan and the company in general.
Sangmin had his car there so he would drive himself and Jungkook to the office.  Driver Park pulls up minutes after Minwoo calls for him.  It's a less than ten minute drive even with Saturday traffic.
At the building, you and Minwoo go straight up to his office.  To clean up a bit Minwoo washes his face, straightens up his hair with a wet comb, changes into an extra shirt and slacks, and sprays on a bit of cologne.  That's as much as he can do with the time given.  You switch your sneakers to the spare pair of black pumps you keep in the office closet.  These last minute meetings are common enough for you both.
While Minwoo was cleaning up you made a pot of coffee, hot water, and a pitcher of ice water with all the accoutrements for the conference room. You had the insight to also grab a few boxes of pastries from the lunch delivery to offer on a tray.  That's about as much as you can help with.
It's 2:50 when the four of you are in the conference room with everything set.  Minwoo comes in last, giving last minute orders without a pause.  “Sangmin you wait here, I'll go down to the lobby and bring the CEO here.  Jungkook you're not dressed for a meeting you wait in my office with secretary Y/N if we need you for anything.  I hope we can get this done fast.”  Jungkook looks sheepish and apologizes.  He can't really be blamed.  He hadn't really brought a change of clothes besides a spare t-shirt and there's no real way for him to get cleaned up.  Sangmin luckily hadn't been playing soccer and was dressed nice enough.
Minwoo ducks out the door after these last instructions.  You and Jungkook leave as well after wishing Sangmin the best of luck.  The intern follows behind you quietly all the way up to the office.  You sit at your desk and check your cell and the desk phone.  It takes you a few minutes to realize Jungkook is standing awkwardly by your desk looking at the painting on the wall but not really seeing it.
“You can sit down you know.  They'll probably be a while.”  He jumps a bit at your speaking.  You give him a skeptical look then turn back to your desk phone.  He rubs the back of his neck gives an awkward laugh and finally sits in the seat across from you at the desk.  He feels so stupid that being alone with you is putting him so on edge.  His stupid brain goes right back to the last time the two of you were alone here like this.
He'd done so well not thinking about you clutching onto him right here every work day.  Now it's the only image in his brain.  You quivering against him through an orgasm.  What could you be doing with Minwoo today?  You're busy listening to voicemails and not looking.  He tries to see if anything is out of the ordinary but you look fine.  No flushed cheeks or panting breath.  You do look especially pretty today though.  This relaxed casual look is really captivating.  Jungkook is crushing on you all over again seeing you this way and it's so wrong.  He's so stupid to think that when he's got Mina but he can't help it.
You can feel Jungkook staring at you so you turn.  Before he looks away you think he looked afflicted by something.  “Is there something wrong Jungkook?”  “No.”  He mumbles.  “Good, then would you please find something else to do while we wait besides staring at me?”  He looks up to defend himself but you’ve turned back to the phone.  He huffs and pulls out his cell phone.  Social media does keep his attention for a full 20 minutes.
All of your voicemails are heard through and taken note of for Monday.  Sitting on that cold bench for hours and even sitting in your desk chair has your back pretty knotted up.  You stand to stretch but an abdominal cramp makes you double over to clutch to the desk.  Seeing you like that gives Jungkook immediate flashbacks.  It makes him more angry than anything.
“Really?  Are you really doing this again?”  He snaps.  You look up to throw daggers, surprised to see he’s giving you his own.  “What exactly do you mean?”  You snap back.  Jungkook can’t believe you’re playing dumb right now.  “You’re playing one of your little games with CEO Lee right in front of me again.  I guess you really don’t care.”
It takes you a moment to realize your current position might look differently given past experiences.  That doesn’t excuse Jungkook for being this snippy.  “I’m having a menstrual cramp for your information.”  All of the anger drops from Jungkook’s face then flushes with embarrassment.
“Oh.  I’m so sorry.  I just thought that you were.  You know… doing other things in front of me again.  Can I get you anything?”  You roll your eyes at his dumb ramblings.  “A cup of tea would be nice since you’re asking.”  Jungkook scrambles out of his chair.  “Of course!”  He’s hurried over to the elevator without asking what kind of tea you even wanted.  He’s just glad to get out of the room.
While he’s gone you try to stretch out your back without cramping up your stomach again.  A few yoga poses would be great right now but the last thing you need is for Jungkook to walk in with you doing a cat-cow pose on the floor.
He’s back quickly with a cup of coffee, a cup of mint tea, and a few pastries.  “I brought you mint tea.  I hope that’s okay.  My mom drinks it when she’s not feeling well.”  He places the steaming mug and the pastries on your desk.  Mint tea is for upset stomachs not really cramps but at least he tried.  The two of you sit in silence again, sipping tea and nibbling on the snack.
“Are you feeling better?”  Jungkook asks not sure what else he should say.  “A little tea isn’t going to really help you know.”  Jungkook frowns.  “Is there something else I can do?  Maybe massage your back for you?  Not in a weird way of course just like a normal massage.”  That came out way worse than he meant it.  You weigh your options a moment.  The last thing this awkward tension needs is him touching you but a massage sounds too good right now.
“If you really wouldn’t mind that would help.”  Jungkook stares wide eyed for a moment.  He didn’t expect you to say yes.  It was a stupid thing to suggest in the first place.  “Sure.  It’s your back that hurts right?  Maybe you could um… lay over the desk?  Is that weird?”  You hadn’t really thought about how you’d go about this.  Laying over the desk is really the only option.
The two of you clear enough space for you to bend with your torso on the desk and Jungkook standing beside you facing perpendicular.  Once you’ve settled Jungkook presses his thumbs along the tight muscles along your spine right where it’s knotted.  You can’t help the moan at just how good it feels.  Of course the golden intern is also great at giving a massage.  He continues to work out all the tightness along your back.  Even at the awkward angle and posture, you’ve never had someone’s hands feel this good.
Each new spot pulls more sounds out of you.  No amount of biting your lip can hold them all back.  So much for the massage not being weird.  Jungkook is dying with all this stimuli.  He’s trying to think of anything else to not get aroused.  Maybe if you’re talking you can’t make these noises.
“This is a weird time to ask, but why do you hate me?”  The question catches you off guard.  “Jungkook.  I don’t hate you.  You’ve just given me reason to keep my distance.  If you weren’t so persistent about dating me I might be nicer.”  He frowns at this and thinks a minute.  “Then would you tell me besides money and age what you like more about CEO Lee?”
It’s mean to laugh but you can’t help it.  “The most important thing between me and CEO Lee that you’re missing is sexual experience.”  That sounds like a stupid reason to Jungkook. He stops massaging but rests his hands on your back. “Is that really all?  I can easily make up for that.  That’s not a great reason to pick a man.”
You keep laughing at just how naive the boy is.  “Jungkook you’re forgetting that our relationship is not a romantic one.  It’s purely sexual.  Experience and ability are the most important factor here.”  Jungkook is silent for a long pause.  He’s struggling to grasp the concept.
“Think of the filthiest porn you’ve ever watched and assume that’s the sort of thing we do together.  You can’t compare that with some virgin boy’s experience.”  Jungkook takes a step back.  “I’m not a virgin!”  He exclaims.  You sit up to look at him.  “Fine barely not a virgin then.  Have you had sex more than once in your life?”
He can’t argue against that.  The red cheeked angry pout gives him away.  “Let me guess.  You dated an older girl in college and she took control of everything.  She took your first time, showed you the basics, then tossed you away when she was done?”  Jungkook stays quiet.  Your words hurt with accuracy.  No one has ever figured him out so easily.  You’re reading him like an open book and he’s mortified.
“You see now why I continue to deny your advances?  I don’t have time for to train a kid with a noona fetish.”  You straighten your posture and stand back on your feet.  Jungkook crowds you back against the desk, arms trapping you in.  You’ve pushed him too far.  “Why not try?  I’m a fast learner.  It could be something new and interesting”
You give him the coldest glare you can.  “Minwoo keeps me well interested.  Besides you’re already dating Mina.  I’m not going to start useless office drama for you.” Jungkook doesn’t hesitate.  “I’ll dump her.”  “No.  It’s still not worth it.  She’ll be heartbroken and I’ll have to hear about it for months.”  Jungkook knows he sounds desperate but he can’t seem to care.  “Please just tell me what I can do.  I’ll do whatever you say.  I just want to please you.”
You should push him away.  He’s at the point of groveling that should really disgust you.  Instead his words spark the smallest bit of interest.  You hate how solid his body feels against yours.  He could easily overpower you.  His height and build towering over you but you’ve got him like putty in your hand.  Being the one in control for once is a thrilling experience.
“All I want is for you to back up.”  Hurt flashes in his pretty eyes.  He was really hoping that your pause in answering meant you were considering it.  Still he’s not going to give up.  He drops his head and takes a big step back.  You know what he’s playing at.
“If you’re waiting for me to tell you to kneel down and kiss my feet you can forget it.”  You joke.  Jungkook knows he’s pushing it but he drops to his knees anyway.  He reaches for your foot but you step it back.  With the toe of your shoe you push his head back up.  He’s really testing your patience.
“That wasn’t a command.”  You snap.  You’re in a bit of shock knowing he would really do anything you ask to please you.  Guys who will drop their pride to be dominated by a woman are very rare to come by.  There’s no way he could be faking this just to sleep with you.  Any normal person should be outraged by someone pushing their face with a shoe.  Jungkook looks like he’s almost enjoying it.
You tap his chin with the toe of your shoe to close his hanging jaw.  “Look at you.  Absolutely pathetic.”  You snear, crossing your arms.  Jungkook doesn’t move.  “Do you like me treating you this way?  I that why you keep bothering me?  You enjoy being degraded?  I didn’t take you as a masochist.  Are you turned on by me bossing you around?   I bet you were getting hard just from giving me that massage.”
You watch the boys reactions.  You keep pushing to see how far he’ll let you go.  The only answer you’re getting are unfocused sparkling eyes.  You tap his cheek to get his attention.  “Answer me.  Did you get hard from touching me?”  “Yes.”  His voice cracks on the single syllable.
He’s close to tears.  Not tears of pain but tears of being overwhelmed.  He had never thought about wanting this until now.  Having a kink pressured out of him breaks him up.  He’s not telling you to stop so you keep pushing.
“Can’t control yourself touching me like a little boy.  You need training don’t you?”  “Yes.”  Jungkook waits just long enough to be sure you’re done talking before answering.  “Yes what?”  You demand.  “Yes, noona.”  That’s not the answer you were looking for but it sounds so good you go with it. “Good boy.”  His cheeks flush from the praise.  He’s really in deep but he doesn’t care.
“I’ll give you one training and nothing more because you obviously need it.”  He looks at you in disbelief.  What could you mean by training?  “If you blow your load two minutes after Mina touches you, the whole office will know how much of an inexperienced little boy you are.  You should be careful dating girls like Mina.”
He’s thought of this once before.  It’s one of the reasons why he hasn’t slept with Mina yet.  Mina is much more a girl who expects to be taken care of.  She would absolutely destroy him if she knew he was a useless quick shot.  Training is exactly what he needs.  “Please help me noona.”
He looks sinfully innocent.  You’d be a monster not to help this poor little lamb.  “Of course.  First, put those hands behind your back since they cause you trouble.”  He obeys instantly.  The toe of your shoe comes to his chest and moves him to lean back and straighten his back.  You keep traveling down, drawing a line down his torso to his knee.  From his knee you toe right up to his groin, resting his balls on your shoe.
The breath stutters out of his lungs.  He almost whimpers when you drop your foot back down.  With underwear, sports leggings, and soccer shorts there are too many layers for your idea to work.  “Without getting up, I want you to take these shorts off and your sweatshirt.”  He strips off the articles you asked for and get back into position.
This was an excellent decision.  He’s left in the skin tight athletic top and leggings.  You can see the outline of every toned muscle and best of all the length of his dick hard along the inside of his left thigh.  You take your time soaking in every inch of this young Adonis.
The suspense frays Jungkook’s nerves.  He’s afraid you’ll stop and send him away.  He sits poised like a show dog waiting for the judges approval.  He doesn’t notice you slipping off your heel.  Your bare foot touching his thigh knocks the air out of him again.
The top of your foot runs up the inside of his thigh on the opposite side of his hard on.  Just before the apex you drop your foot back to his other knee, travelling up over the trembling muscles.  He’s shaking, not from holding himself in position but from excitement.
To his agony, you continue just brushing over his legs two more times, never once touching where he needs it.  The fourth pass up the right side you turn and firmly stroke down and up his throbbing member.  Even in the tight confines of his leggings, it jumps out at your touch.  Jungkook moans loudly, not holding it in.  Touching him through his pants with your foot shouldn’t feel this good.  He’s had lubed hand jobs give him less of a reaction.
You rub him through three slow strokes and he’s already feeling the tightening in his balls.  You drop your foot and he groans.  He’s panting and out of breath.  “Look at you.  You can barely handle a little touching like this and you think you can compete with CEO Lee?  You need to learn control.”  You scoff.  He hates to hear his boss’ name from you but he wants so much to please you.  “Yes, noona.”
You tilt his head up to look you in the eye again.  “I’m going to keep playing with you but you’re not allowed to cum until I say.  Understand?”  “Yes, noona.”  It comes out like a plea for you to keep going.
There’s no teasing this time.  You go right back to slowly stroking him.  Every four or five times you stop to let him compose himself.  Gradually you pick up speed and add more strokes.  Jungkook tries so hard to think of something else to get his mind off the need for release.  He doesn’t realize how much he’s trembling, mouth hanging, flushed and panting for breath.  There’s no focus in his eyes.  You’re spurred on by how hot and fucked out he looks.
He’s so entranced in the pattern you’ve set.  When he next expects you to pull away you instead roll the head of his cock between the pad of your foot and your toes.  He doubles over moaning out loudly.  “Noona!”  “Don’t you dare cum.”  You scold, not letting up.  He cries out trying to hold it in.  “Please… I can’t!”  His eyes fill with tears.  His dick twitches uncontrollably.  You pull back your foot and give his length a firm slap then drop back to the floor.
You let Jungkook have a long break to collect himself.  He takes a full 5 minutes to slow his breathing and lean back into place.  “Are you okay to continue?”  You ask when you think he’s ready.  “Yes, noona.”  His voice is gravely and cracks again.  He’s not ready to move on but he wants to be a good boy for you.
Starting again from the beginning he can tell he’s so much more sensitive.  He only gets up to seven strokes before there are tears running down his cheeks.  You can see he’s trying so hard to be good.  “You’re doing so good.  Do you want to cum?”  Jungkook jerks his head up to look at you, his watery doe eyes pleading.  “Please noona.”  “Are you sure?  You want this to be over?”  Oh no, he hadn’t thought of it that way.  If he cums you’ll be done with him.  By what you said, done for good.  He panics.  There’s no way he can hold back anymore but will you be disappointed that he wants to cum?  You can see the wheels turning in his head.  “You’ve been so good.  I won’t be mad if you want to finish.”  With your permission he caves.  “Please noona.  I need to cum.”  You smile a little.  “Okay you can cum baby.”  You go right in to rolling the head of his cock again to help him out.  He moans, cumming right away.  His hips thrusts up on their own with each wave of his orgasm.  The warm sticky liquid soaks through his leggings and you use it to keep stroking over him.  The pleasure fades all too fast into over stimulation.  He tries to tilt his hips away from your touch.  You’d love to work him right into another orgasm but there’s no time.  It’s getting dangerously late now as it is.
Jungkook slumps forward with a sigh.  You grab a tissue from the desk and wipe the dampness from your foot.  “You did well.  Better than I expected.  Try edging yourself to help build your stamina it should help a lot.”  You slip back on your shoe and take one last good look at the quiver boy in front of you.  “You free to do what you’d like now.  We’re done”
Jungkook lets his arms fall forward to help hold him up.  His whole body relaxes, all the tension slipping away.  He takes a deep breath and stands.  The blood rushes to his numb legs and feet.  Every step shoots pins and needles up his legs but he needs to get out of there.  Embarrassment and disappointment come welling up like the blood rush.  “I’m going to get cleaned up.”  He mumbles and stiffly walks over to the bathroom.
This floor has two single room bathrooms by the elevator and a private bathroom in Minwoo’s office.  Jungkook locks himself in one of the front bathrooms.  He’s leans back against the door, tempted to slip down to the floor.  Some time to alone to reflect would be great but he needs to get cleaned up.  He strips out of his underwear and leggings and does his best to clean the cold drying jizz out of the fabric.  It’s a good thing he grabbed his shorts to put on.
The sweat and tears are washed away.  The cold water helps to cool him down and compose himself a little.  He can’t wait to get home and have a nice hot shower, a stiff drink, and curl into bed.
Still so many thoughts are buzzing in his head.  It’s been a long time since he’s felt this pathetic.  How could he stoop so low for your approval.  Why does it even matter that much to him?  He has a girlfriend who would be more than happy to have regular sex with him and love him.  Being humiliated, controlled, and used like this shouldn’t turn him on this much.  It’s not right.  You didn’t even look affected by anything that just happened.  Hearing you call him a good boy had been so fulfilling but it was probably empty words to you.  At the end you were just as cold and distant as ever.  It hurts knowing you don’t need him at all.
Jungkook has no idea how long he stands there staring blankly into his reflection.  The sounds of the elevator ding and two male voices outside snap him out of it.  He slips on his shorts and sweatshirt and braves going back out to the office.  Minwoo, Sangmin, and you are standing at the coffee table in Minwoo’s office.
Jungkook tosses his bundle up wet bottoms into his duffle bag.  He enters the office where the three are going over the last notes from the meeting.  Minwoo looks at him when they’re done.  “Jungkook, help Sangmin put away the files then we can all go home.”  “Yes, sir.”  He answers quietly and happily leaves with Sangmin.
You follow Minwoo over to his desk with your tablet in hand.  He goes over what changes are to be made for Monday’s schedule and any other notes.  The papers get filed away.  You switch back to your sneakers then the two of you go down to the lobby where the others are waiting.
“Thank you gentlemen for spending your Saturday working.  I owe you a dinner but I think we can all agree on having it another time.”  Minwoo says.  “Yes I’m sure we’re all looking forward to hot showers and some rest at home by now.”  Sangmin thankfully speaks for you all.
Minwoo notices Jungkook’s legs on their way out the door.  “What happened to you pants aren’t you cold?”  Jungkook doesn’t stop walking or even turn back to answer.  “No sir,  I was uncomfortable from the dried sweat.  I don’t live far.  I’ll be fine.”  Minwoo doesn’t press.  “Well have a goodnight everyone”  Jungkook does turn then to give a quick bow then makes a beeline for his apartment.
Sangmin calls over a cab.  You and Minwoo get into the car waiting for you.  The ride home is silent.  Minwoo thanks driver Park when you arrive at the apartment building.  In the elevator, you hit the buttons for your floor and his.  Minwoo unclicks your floor.
“I have something I’d like to talk to you about.”  Minwoo isn’t giving you an option.  You’re definitely confused.  He never asks you to come up on soccer weekends.  Of course you go with him anyway without question.
You both take off your shoes once you’re inside.  “Have a seat.”  Minwoo gestures to the couch and goes over to his mini bar.  You sit where he pointed and wait while he mixes himself a manhattan.  He takes a long sip then turns to face you.  “Y/N, you like your job right?”
Of all the things you were considering that was not at all what you expected him to say.  “Yes, I love my job sir.”  You answer right away.  He sips his drink and hums.  “You like the relationship we have right?  You aren’t tired of me?”  He sounds too casual for such a heavy question.  “No of course I’m not tired of you.  How could I be?”  All these questions put you on edge.  Not once since you started this relationship has he asked you things like this.
Minwoo steps closer to where you’re sitting, stirring the ice around his glass.  “I’m just getting the feeling that maybe you’re forgetting some of our company policies on coworker relations in the work place.”  Realization hits you right away.  Minwoo must know all about what you did with Jungkook.  He must’ve watched the security footage at some point.  Perhaps even watching it during the meeting.
“Sir, I’m so sorry.  I don’t know what came over me.  I swear it’s the last time it will happen.”  “It better be.  It shouldn’t have happened at all.  That video footage could get you into a lot of trouble.  If Jungkook ever wanted to take that issue up to HR I’d have to fire you.”  That’s a really harsh blow for you.  You know it’s nothing personal, the company comes first for Minwoo.  You can’t blame him, it would be completely your fault.
“You know there are good reasons why those sorts of activities are not allowed in the workplace.  I’m disappointed in you for slipping up.  Our hot young intern must attract you quite a lot.”  You hang your head low in shame.  It hurts to hear Minwoo be disappointed in you.
“No, sir.  I apologize for my actions.  You’re right.  I’ve made a mistake.  Jungkook thinks he could take your place in this relationship.  He wouldn’t drop it so I decided to teach him a lesson.  I should have been the bigger person and left it alone.”
Minwoo finishes his drink and sets the glass down on his crystal top coffee table.  “I’m still concerned that you have some lustful attraction for the boy.  I just want to know if I should be worried about you looking for a new relationship.”
You look back up to make eye contact.  “No, sir.  I was clear with him that we were done after today.  I swear I only need you.”  You’re as sincere as can be.  There will be nothing more between you and Jungkook.  There’s no way he would want more of the treatment you gave him.
Minwoo steps in front of you and takes your chin between his thumb and forefinger.  “I want to believe you my dear, but you seem to cave everytime you’re left alone with him.  Of course our relationship has always been open and you’re free to have any other fun you want to just not at the company.”  He smiles tightly.
Your relationship is open but there has been an unspoken agreement that the two of you were exclusive.  “I’ve been weak, but I promise I’m only yours.”  Minwoo is happy to hear that.  He really hopes this is the end of the problem.  His smiles turns to something a bit more mischievous.
“Still you made a big mistake that I think deserves some punishment.”  He narrows his gaze and drags his thumb over your bottom lip.  His hand drops and he takes a few steps back.  With a crook of his finger he beckons you forward.  “Why don’t you start by getting on your knees.”
You slink down to the floor to kneel in front of him.  “And put your hands behind your back.  You don’t deserve to touch today.”  Again you obey.  You recognize what he’s doing, putting you in the same position you had Jungkook.  “I couldn’t help but notice you took control over the intern.  You said he needs to learn his place.  I think you need a reminder of your own place.”
Minwoo’s voice is deep and commanding.  It was fun to have the control with Jungkook but Minwoo makes you realize how much you love being submissive.  You’re anticipating the punishment which soft of defeats the purpose.
Minwoo takes an ice cube out of his drink glass.  “Open your mouth and hold out your tongue.”  As soon as you do he puts the ice cube on the end of your tongue.  With two finger he rubs it in little circles all over the surface.  Little by little your tongue gets colder.  Temperature play isn’t unfamiliar to your sessions but this is something new.  You’re curious where he could be going with this.
When the ice cube is nearly all melted there’s spit and water running all over your mouth.  Without taking away his fingers, Minwoo tells you to suck.  You close your lips around the digits and swallow down the liquid pooled in your mouth.  He appreciates the extra effort you take licking and sucking his fingers clean.
“Open again for me.”  You open your mouth right away.  Minwoo grabs another ice cube and repeats rubbing it across your tongue.  Your tongue gets even colder and wetter than before.  It’s starting to get a little numb.
The ice cube melts away.  You expect him to tell you to suck again but he places another ice cube on your tongue.  “Stay just like that for me.”  He commands, wiping his wet fingers on the front of his slacks.  The ice cube doesn’t melt very fast on your cool tongue.
Minwoo unbuckles his belt and undoes his pants.  He pulls them down just far enough to pull out his length.  The sight of it has your throat reflexively swallowing.  You’d been drooling if you hadn’t already been dribbling all over yourself.  You’re a good girl and keep your mouth open and waiting.
Minwoo takes his dick in his hand and uses the head to rub the ice cube around.  He shudders at the first cold shock.  It doesn’t take long to feel good.  With the heat of his skin the ice cube melts much quicker.  Once it’s completely gone he tells you to suck again.
Your warm lips wrapped tight around him give a contrast to your frigid tongue.  It feels amazing for him.  It’s a strange sensation to you that you can barely feel him with your tongue cold and numb.  This doesn’t hold you back from working him properly.  You know just what he likes.  Keeping tight suction, rolling your tongue in his sensitive spots, and bobbing your head.
He lets you work him for a good while simply enjoying the service.  All the extra liquid makes for an amazing slickness.  You’re so beautiful to him like this.  You know this is where you’re meant to be.
Gradually your mouth comes back to a consistent temperature.  That’s Minwoo’s cue for a time to change.  He runs a finger over your cheek to get your attention.  “I’m glad you’re enjoying this, but it’s supposed to be a punishment.”  He threads his fingers into your hair at the back of your head.  “Loosen your jaw and keep those hands behind you.”
That’s the only warning you get before Minwoo gives a few shallow thrusts of his hips.  You relax your jaw muscles and let him take over.  He starts with slow strokes gradually getting deeper.  Then with his hands firmly pressed to your head he sinks in all the way to the base.
Your throat stretches around his girth.  With little warning your the muscles spasm.  Your hands want to reflexively come to Minwoo’s legs but you keep them behind your back.  He sees them twitch then still.  You settle enough to swallow around him once then he pull out of your mouth completely.  He barely let’s you catch your breath before pushing back in.
The pattern is repeated twice more.  Your jaw, throat, knees, and scalp are sore but you sit still and let Minwoo use you.  His thrusts this time are quicker and sloppy signaling how close he is to losing it.  When he pushes into your throat again you barely flinch.  This really pleases him.  “You’re such a good girl for me aren’t you?  Always a good girl.  Shame you have to get punished like this.”  His voices is so low and gravely it gives you chills.
Minwoo moans when you swallow around him.  He’s way too close now.  He pulls you off his length completely and takes it in one hands.  The other hand holds your head back.  “Keep that mouth open and don’t take your eyes off me.”  He strokes himself quickly to the finish.  Thick streams of cum land all over your face and tongue.
He puts the tip back between your lips and has you suck the last few drops from him.  Once he’s sure that all of it has come out he uses the tip to smear the globs on your face into your skin.  He spends extra time painting it over your lips like lip gloss.  “I hope this helps you remember in the future just who you belong to.”
Minwoo takes a step back to admire his work.  “I ought to take a picture of this and send it to Jungkook.  He’d get the point pretty fast I think.”  Just the idea gives you a thrill.  Jungkook would no doubt use that as spank bank material for weeks.  It would probably urge him on more than deter him.
“Too bad I’m definitely keeping this pretty image all to myself.”  Minwoo must have had the same thought.  He grabs the tissues from the coffee table, first cleaning himself up then helping you.  You try to stand but your legs are asleep from the knee down.  Minwoo picks you up by the waist to sit you on the couch.  He leans down and kisses the top of your head.  “Thank you sweetheart.  I do hope you learned your lesson.”  He smirks and walks away.
While he’s gone you try to get some feeling back into your legs.  Minwoo comes back with a warm washcloth and a cup of honey lemon tea.  You let him wipe your face completely clean then take a sip of tea.  It does soothe your sore throat.  “Have some cough drops later.  I wouldn’t want you to have a sore throat for work Monday.”  He teases.  At this point you wish Monday were much more than a day away.

The Munchkin Nein - Mollymawk Tealeaf
Explaining this series
A Mollymawk is a genus of albatross...i honestly have no idea what that means, I am not a taxonomist, I just know it’s something birdy. And I can read wikipedia to get a feel for what they are culturally. Something something sailors and mariners (maybe that explains why he rooms with Fjordy our resident shady sailor)
Anyway, we’re here for the crunch. And admittedly, this character is one of the reasons I got into thinking about this series to begin with, since there has been discussion about how ...well, unimpactful Mollymauk has been in fights. Going to lay out a couple of my thoughts before we actually get into the mechanics.
[Also, edited one day after the post, before M. Mercer decided to whoop dee doo, it’s time to put an end to the naysayers and give the poor Ghostslayer some buffs. And here I was defending Molly as he was; oh well, gonna update the crunch]
First off, if you’re going to compare each character’s output with one another, there can only be one eventual winner and that’s no damn good for anyone. If you compare the options taken as compared to those available, then you’re going to be critiquing on choices and once again, De gustibus non est disputandum, so I’m not gonna go there.
So let’s take a step back and see what Molly has thus far presented himself as and is, from what we can see. I think first and foremost, Mollymauk Tealeaf is a carnie, possibly influenced a great deal by Taliesin Jaffe our pyramidal fey lord and saviour ‘s extensive carnival experience. I will admit, I have never met a carnie, or know what they actually do or are. But from my internet gleaning and perusing (and Talks Machina thank you Brian Cabbage head), I’ve come to think of them as style over substance, highly extroverted and verbose individuals. Competence is optional. Laughter is not. Which really makes for an interesting character, in D&D or real life, I would love to meet a carnie and talk about the meaning of life with them while being as drunk as a sailor on shore leave.
Anyway, back to Mollymauk, there is actually a very recent post on reddit on his actual performance in combat that paints him in a better light, and the usual reddit discussion shenanigans. The one part of that that shifted my view decisively, is the realization that dual wielding is an aesthetic. Molly isn’t a fighter; he isn’t a master swordsman whose blades are an extension of himself nor does he have an instinctive feel for moving his blades in a fashion to cause harm. His scimitars are made out of cheap carnival glass for god’s sake; it's a miracle they haven’t shattered yet. I get a sense that those blades were mostly for show, until they had to be more than that. Still, that isn’t the comfort zone of Molly, who would rather talk and charm his way out of a situation. Which is reflected in his repeated use of Charm Person, Enthrall, and the infamous Vicious Mockery.
So in my opinion, the combat style of Mollymauk reflects his partially revealed backstory. He wants nothing to do with his potentially violent past and is all in on his solely carnival memories. If he could choose, I think he would be a pacifist.
Nonetheless, this is D&D where unless you are an Oath of Redemption paladin, pacifism is not going to be all that attractive since there are so many things that want your hide. So violence it's going to be. With that in mind, that doesn’t always mean you leave behind what you are, going into combat. I can write a whole other series on the human behind the soldier, but that’s for another time, so I’ll just leave this quote from LotR here
“I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend.”                                                                                   -Faramir, The Two Towers
Right so, proper crunch time. Level 5 Tiefling (Devil Tongue Variant), Blood Hunter Order of the Ghostslayer.
Armaments: 2 Scimitars that do 1d6 + 3 (DEX mod) apiece, due to the Two-Weapon fighting style. Two attacks with the main weapon, and using a bonus action, can attack with the second scimitar, giving three strikes tops.
As a bloodhunter, one of the ways to increase your damage output is crimson rites to imbue your weapons with magical damage. In Molly’s case, he has Rite of Dawn and Frozen, to add d4 radiant or cold damage respectively. He will gain an additional option at Level 6, that’s just more versatility, but more importantly the damage die increases to d6 (which on average is worth 1 point more). Having 3 damage types is not really versatile, but not completely one dimensional either. Each rite comes at the cost of 1d4 HP deducted from the maximum that only recovers when the rite is deactivated (he isnt healed by that  d4 when max HP returns)
At the moment however, this makes his scimitars 1d6 +1d4 + 3 if activated. As many have pointed out, it takes 1 bonus action to activate each scimitar and Molly only has 1 bonus action each turn. Also, striking with the second scimitar takes a bonus action. It doesn’t help that many of the blood curse options, one of which we do not yet know when Molly leveled to 5, takes up a bonus action as well.
Speaking of blood curses, the one we do know Molly has used is Blood Curse of the Eyeless, which has saved the asses of many of the Nein by inflicting disadvantage on one or two of the incoming attacks. Being a reaction with 60 feet range has contributed greatly to its usability.
Molly’s archetype of Ghostslayer is a situational benefit that contributes a WIS mod to damage undead creatures (+3), at level 11 this will affect all creatures, but for now, only undead creatures will feel this dual wielding sword swinger’s wrath.
[7/6/18 11pm GMT+1 update: Crimson Rite die is now d6 at level 5 bloodhunter, instead of the d4 mentioned above. Also, the Ghostslayer archetype halves the damage suffered when activating Rite of the Dawn. Considering the damage taken also increased, this is a welcome change (though compared to previously, on average, Molly suffers .75 damage less (rounded up to 1) per activation of Rite of the Dawn, though 1 damage more when using Rite of the Frozen. This downside would have happened anyway at Level 6, but now there’s at least a slight improvement.
Also, as part of the update, Molly would have the option to switch out Blood Curse of the Eyeless. I suspect he would, based on more metagaming logic of a greater variety of playtesting. So might bring us up to 2 unknown blood curses. There are many many other fascinating options, and we might see them within 4 hours of this update]
A couple of things grant Molly some durability in combat. He took the Feat “Tough” which gives more HP when levelling, so at Level 5, he already has the highest HP total of the Nein. Also, his AC is listed as 15 which implies either studded leather or chain shirt. That’s probably on the lower end for the Nein, but sufficient for combat (i guess? depends on how hot Matt’s dice are). Finally, he purchased the Periapt of Wound Closure, which stabilizes him if he goes down. Also, when he rolls dice to regain HP, the results are doubled. (I’m unsure if it applies to healing done to him, or just healing he does on himself; if its the former I can already see the disaster tiefling combo come to life).
Edit: I’ve asked around and it appears to be specific to interactions involving self healing with hit dice (d10s for Molly) such as healer’s kit and short rests. Still the point stands.
Regardless, it allows Molly to function like a glass cannon, just like his swords. Yes he’d take hits, but he’ll return the favour, and the difference is that he won’t break, while the monster will eventually be shredded.
And we move onto the Tiefling part of Molly, which mechanically, has 3 spells. Vicious Mockery, Charm Person and Enthrall. All of them involve the target making a WIS save against Molly’s DC 11 [ 8 + 3 (proficiency) + 0(CHA mod)] and if succeeded, the spell does nothing (which has fuelled the perception that Molly hasn’t done much)
The first is a cantrip, while the latter 2 are level 2 spells that can only be cast once per long rest.
For vicious mockery, failing the WIS save causes the target to suffer 2d4 psychic DMG and suffer DISAD on its next attack roll, functioning as a second blood curse of the eyeless. Of note, this and Enthrall, are the only abilities of Molly at >30 to 60 feet ranges, unless he chooses to pick up a rock and throw it. Not very effective, but definitely worth a laugh.
For Charm Person, up to 2 humanoids can be affected. The WIS save is made with advantage if Molly or the Nein are fighting it (debatable if they are being attacked and not fighting back would negate this). Failing the WIS save imposes the “charmed” condition for one hour, unless the spell ends prematurely or they start harming the target. The charmed condition gives advantage to social interactions checks, which with Molly’s CHA mod of 0, would probably be very helpful. Also, for 1 hour, the target cannot attack Molly with weapons or harmful spells
Finally, Enthrall targets visible creatures of choice. The WIS save is made at advantage if in combat. Failing it gives the target disadvantage to WIS (perception) checks on any creature other than Molly for up to a minute. Once again, probably not a combat spell. But Taliesin did use it successfully against the alligators to distract them temporarily from Kiri, so who am I to judge?
The only thing I could think of for these two spells, is possibly to use them together. So while Molly, this colourful spray of bright clothes, tattoos and energy of a tiefling, charms and enthralls a high value target, the rest of the Nein slaughter their guards and entourage.
So there it is, Mollymauk Tealeaf, performer extraordinaire and occasional sword swinger! I personally think that if this is what Molly is, there could be advantages in going full carnie. Make use of that acrobatics proficiency to climb the head of a giant, wield a scimitar in your tail with that sleight of hand +6, hell juggle swords in combat to look threatening and maybe force a WIS save or two to take the heat off of others. The options are endless outside of the book rules and it is up to Taliesin Jaffe to play out this disaster of a tiefling. Hopefully, Matt is kind in these rulings, to reward good RP which is what everyone is here for.
Fortunately, Taliesin is a very experienced D&D player as demonstrated by his extensive knowledge of other character’s abilities (I think he, Matt and Liam together could probably recite half the rulebook and write out the other half by instinct). If I had to make one mechanical optimization choice, for the next ASI, take a +1 to DEX and +1 to CHA to round that score up and get that bonus. It’s also an upgrade without drastically altering the RP choices that can be made.
Thank you everyone who’s reading and liking this series! It’s almost thursday and I’m pretty excited about the next episode like I always am. Maybe even more so now I’ve got a blog. Might liveblog it idk it’s at like 3am in UK when it goes live so depends on my sloppy schedule.

Pundit makes Jack Clarke revelation that has a solution already waiting - opinion
Noel Whelan believes Jack Clarke won’t stay at Leeds beyond January but is confident that he won’t be missed too much, as there are a number of quality wingers at the club.
What did he say?
Leeds took Clarke on loan from Tottenham after the club signed him over the summer, but he has made just three appearances this term and clearly isn’t a central part of Marcelo Bielsa’s plans.
With a lack of game time possibly harming his development Whelan is correct to suggest Spurs may look at a recall, and though he possesses pace and a direct style, Clarke leaving shouldn’t have too much of an impact, according to the pundit.
Whelan is confident in his assertion of what will happen and how such a development affects the club, but he is confident in the squad at Elland Road.
Speaking to Football Insider, he said:
“There’s no doubt Jack Clarke will leave as Tottenham won’t allow him to stay on the bench all season.
“Leeds have plenty of wide men in the squad so I don’t expect they will sign someone to replace him.
“I can see him [Alioski] filling in as a winger, and replacing Clarke, if the first choices like Harrison and Costa are out, or come off. He’s played there most of his career, can create and score goals and is one of the best finishers in the squad.”

Ready to step up
Bielsa is blessed with a number of options in his current set-up and so far he has used a number of players in different roles to his advantage.
Most notably, the deployment of both Stuart Dallas and Ezgjan Alioski at full-back, which isn’t their natural position, has led to notable success and even displaced Barry Douglas in the starting line-up.
That is some feat given the Scot played left-back regularly for Wolves when they won the Championship in 2017. It just goes to show the positive effect both players have on the team.
Virtually impossible: Can you name the year all of these Leeds flops arrived at Elland Road?
Alioski, in particular, has provided a threat going forward. His four goals and one assist indicate the danger he poses in the opposition’s final third and playing him on the wing would allow him to take up threatening positions more often.
If Clarke does indeed leave then Bielsa may opt to push Alioski further forward, and given the form he has shown this campaign that could be a switch which really pays off, as the Macedonian has years of experience playing there – just as Whelan suggests.
Clarke may possess energy and a different skillset to others in the squad but his absence shouldn’t be felt too hard, and if it allows Alioski to show his true potential then the team will benefit significantly from the development.
In other Leeds news, one of Europe’s most in-form strikers has been captured signing a Leeds shirt…

We’re Back!!!! The 2019 College Football Season is upon us, and your humble correspondents have returned. Yes, Scott Criscuolo & Logan Crosland will give you a recap of the previous week’s games and look ahead to the big games the following week. Clemson is your defending National Champion, and they’re likely going to be back in the Playoff this year, along with Alabama. Will we see yet ANOTHER championship game between the Tigers & the Tide. Will former Bama QB Jalen Hurts spoil things and get Oklahoma back to the Playoff. Can Notre Dame get back and perhaps actually WIN a playoff game? We begin here. Let’s get started with the Week 1 takes.
LOGAN:
SEC Struggles to Open Year: One of the big things that stood out to me on opening weekend, is that outside of maybe 3 teams the superpower that is the SEC struggled mightily. Even teams who ended up winning like Florida, Alabama, Mississippi State, and Kentucky struggled through at least portions of their respective games and though they might’ve won it was ugly at times. Then their are the teams that lost to what was perceived to be lesser competition such as Ole Miss, Missouri, Tennessee, and South Carolina. South Carolina is the most excusable one of those as North Carolina is a power conference team, so they were at least a little stiffer competition. Tennessee on the other hand met, lost, and pretty much got dominated by lowly Georgia State, while Ole Miss and Mississippi lost to Memphis and Wyoming respectively. While most of the struggles can be attributed first week jitters, the conference better kick things into gear if it wants to continue its dominance.
Auburn Wins a Thriller Behind Freshman QB: In what was probably the best game of the first weekend, the Auburn Tigers took on the Oregon Ducks. A lot of the hype coming into this game was surrounding the QB matchup between projected early first round pick Justin Herbert and true freshman Bo Nix. While it looked like the experienced Ducks and Herbert were going to run away with this game, it was young Bo who was able to lead his team back late from the brink of defeat. The defense for these Tigers are going to be able to win them a lot of games, but if Bo can show the poise he did in this game they could be dangerous. The Ducks on the other hand, while this doesn’t completely sink their season, the room for error has shrunk significantly.
Iowa State Escapes in Triple OT: The Cyclones come into this season with much more hype than usual and have expectations of contending for the Big 12 title with the likes of Oklahoma and Texas. With Northern Iowa coming to Ames, I won’t say they were expecting a walkover but definitely weren’t prepared for fight they ended up getting. Northern Iowa hung around and even led most of this game. Iowa State made a late field goal to force overtime. During the third overtime Northern Iowa had a chance to win the game when Iowa St RB Sheldon Croney fumbled at the goal line, before QB Brock Purdy dove on the ball to save the game for his team. Croney would make up for his mistake and score the game winning touchdown on the very next play. The Cyclones were able to avoid disaster this week but will need to clean things up if they want to be players in the Big 12.
Oklahoma…Heisman 3 Peat?: Before I say anything else I am not beginning to say anyone is a Heisman front runner one week into the season. With that out of the way, Jalen Hurts in his first game for the Sooners, that neither of their consecutive Heisman winners Baker Mayfield or Kyler Murray did. That feat was scoring 6 total touchdowns in just 3 quarters of play. With his experience in big games and talent, if he continues to put up numbers like these he’ll be in the mix for that coveted trophy and could give Oklahoma their third consecutive winner.
Boise State Pulls One Out: Ever since Boise State emerged on the scene in the early 2000s, they have been a dangerous team for anyone power program that schedules them. While in more recent years they haven’t pulled as many upsets as they may have at one time, they are always very well coached and a hard out. This weekend’s game against Florida State was originally scheduled to be played in Jacksonville but was moved to Tallahassee due to weather. So for Boise this went from being a neutral site game to being a true road game, which puts them at a little bit more of a disadvantage. Add on top of that, they started a true freshman at QB. They were able to overcome both of those odds, as well as a rough first half, to pull of the huge road win against the Seminoles 36-31.
SCOTT:
Easy opener for the Champs: Travis Etienne spent all offseason trying to ignore the national attention headed his way. Well after last Thursday he won’t be hard to find. The reigning ACC player of the year rushed for a career-high 205 yards and three touchdowns, including one from 90 yards out, as Clemson overpowered Georgia Tech 52-14 to open defense of their championship. Trevor Lawrence was average in this one, going 13 of 23 for 168 yards, but honestly it didn’t matter. The defense played great and everything clicked. It will have to click next week, because Jimbo Fisher’s Texas A&M Aggies aren’t Georgia Tech.
Typical ND…start awful, finish strong: As usual with Notre Dame in an opening night prime time game, they start lousy and finish strong. The crowd at Louisville was pumped and ready for the Scott Satterfield Era. The offense was hot and the intensity was there and with 2 minutes to go in the half it was 14-14, but a turnover led to a late ND touchdown and the defense held firm in the second half. The Irish win 35-17 and Ian Book threw and ran for a TD. He struggled early as he wasn’t comfortable in the pocket and his throws were all over the place. But Brian Kelly settled him down and he was fine after that. A bye this week, then the home opener next week against New Mexico.
Scott Frost’s new slate: Scott Frost is going to do his best to try and get Nebraska back to the top of the heap and not be a doormat like they’ve been pretty much since they left the Big 12. Well the jury is still out after Week 1. Yes they defeated South Alabama 35-21, but it was only 14-7 at the half and the offense was sluggish throughout. Not quite sure of the Black Shirts defense has returned but they did play very well and forced five turnovers. But the Huskers turned the ball over three times themselves. Adrian Martinez didn’t sparkle and has more to prove. They hit the road this week to face Colorado in an old Big 8 rivalry.
79 points????: For the first time ever, two conferences teams score over 70 points in the same week. Penn State destroyed Idaho 79-7, while Maryland crushed Howard 79-0. I…just wanted to point that out.
Academies Update: As in past years, Scott will update how the three Service Academies do on a week-by-week basis. Army won the CID trophy for the second straight year in 2018, and opened the year with a lackluster 14-7 win over Rice. Navy struggled last year, but opened Saturday with a 45-7 win over Holy Cross. Air Force also opens with a win, 48-7 over Colgate. This week Army is at Michigan, while both Navy and Air Force has byes.
No rankings yet, as the CFP poll won’t be for another month or so. Let’s just dive into this week’s schedule and take a look at the biggest games:
3:30pm: #12 Texas A&M at #1 Clemson
7:30pm: #6 LSU at #9 Texas
10:30pm: #23 Stanford at USC

Mamadou Sakho (born 13 February 1990) is a Senegalese-French professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Premier League club Liverpool, and the France national team. He is known for his tackling ability and his passing accuracy.
Sakho began his career at Paris FC before moving to Paris Saint-Germain‘s youth system in 2002. In October 2007, on his league debut, he became the youngest player ever to captain a Ligue 1 club. Sakho made over 200 appearances for the club, winning all four domestic trophies. In 2013, he transferred to Liverpool for £18 million.
Sakho is a senior international who has previously earned caps and captained the nation at all youth levels. Since making his senior debut in 2010 against England, Sakho has over 25 caps and represented France at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Early career[edit]
Sakho started his football career at the age of six playing for the juniors of hometown club Paris FC. In 2002, he was lured away to professional club Paris Saint-Germain. Sakho was originally a striker, but due to Paris Saint-Germain’s youth team having fewer defenders than strikers, he was moved into a more defensive role.
Sakho struggled to adapt during his first year at the Camp des Loges, the headquarters of the club’s youth academy, often refusing to accept orders handed out by the trainers, such as when to go to bed. At one point, he was threatened with expulsion from the club due to his constant bad behavior. Following guidance from his parents and, particularly, under-13 Paris Saint-Germain coach Christian Mas, Sakho curbed his bad behavior and began to focus on his studies and football. When Sakho was 14, his father suddenly died. The resulting pain led to Sakho considering leaving football, but he later described that idea as “useless” and returned to the club after bereavement. Sakho quickly became one of the club’s most sought after prospects winning numerous MVP awards during his time in the youth academy. In April 2005, he was a part of the Île-de-France region team that won the 2004–05 Coupe Nationale. That same year, he was a part of the Paris Saint-Germain under-18 team that won the Championnat National des 18 ans league title, despite being three years younger than many of his teammates.[3]
In total, Sakho spent nearly six years at the Camp des Loges. A day after his 17th birthday, manager Paul Le Guen called the youngster up for the club’s UEFA Cup Round of 32 first leg match against AEK Athens on 14 February 2007. Sakho started the match picking up a yellow card in the 20th minute. He played 85 minutes before being substituted out as Paris Saint-Germain won the match 2–0.[5] Sakho played his second and final match of the season in the UEFA Cup Round of 16 first leg match against Benfica, he played the full match in a 2–1 victory.
Paris Saint-Germain[edit]
2007–10[edit]
On 14 June 2007, Sakho signed his first professional contract agreeing to a three-year deal.[6] He was officially promoted to the senior side for the 2007–08 season, despite being only 17 years old, and was assigned the first team number 3 shirt. Sakho made his first start that season for Paris Saint-Germain in the club’s 3–0 win over Lorient in the Coupe de la Ligue on 26 September 2007, starting in the centre back role alongside the experienced Colombian Mario Yepes.[7] Sakho made his league debut on 20 October against Valeciennesin a 0–0 draw.[8] In an effort to galvanize the questionable leadership of several senior team players, such as first-team captain Pauleta and vice-captain Sylvain Armand, Le Guen named Sakho captain for the match. Sakho’s role as captain made him the youngest-ever captain of Paris Saint-Germain at the age of 17 years and 8 months and also the youngest player to ever captain a side in Ligue 1.[9] In the following match against Lyon, he was named captain again and tasked with the role of containing fellow French starlet Hatem Ben Arfa. Despite Sakho and the club putting up a strong fight, Ben Arfa scored two goals in a span of three minutes as Les Parisiens suffered a 3–2 defeat.[10] In the club’s following match against Nancy, Sakho picked up an extensive injury, which ruled him out for two months.[11] He returned to action on 23 February 2008, playing the entire match in a 1–1 draw against Monaco.[12] On 29 March, Sakho started and play the full 90 minutes in the Paris Saint-Germain’s 2–1 victory over Lens in the 2008 Coupe de la Ligue Final. The victory awarded Sakho the first major trophy of his career. In total that season, Sakho made 16 appearances.
In the following season, Sakho made 34 total appearances contributing to the Paris Saint-Germain’s successful play where the club reached as high as 2nd in the league, reached the semi-finals of the Coupe de France, and made it to the UEFA Cup quarterfinals. On 30 January 2009, due to his positive play and clubs from abroad constantly inquiring for his services, Paris Saint-Germain awarded Sakho a contract extension until the June 2012.[13] Two weeks later, he scored his first career goal for the club in a league match against Saint-Étienne on 14 February 2009, a day after his 19th birthday. The goal gave Paris Saint-Germain a 1–0 lead and the club went on to win the match 2–1.[14]
Sakho opened the 2009–10 season as the incumbent starter partnering either veterans Sammy Traoré or Zoumana Camara in defense. Midway through the season, Sakho was embroiled in controversy when he allegedly slapped a Le Parisien newspaper journalist at the Camp des Loges, the club’s training center. Before the incident, Sakho had allegedly confronted the journalist to question the accuracy of an article he had written referring to the controversy surrounding why Sakho went to a nightclub following Paris Saint-Germain’s embarrassing loss to Lorient hours earlier.[15] Sakho reportedly insulted the journalist and then slapped him before walking away. The journalist, who preferred to remain anonymous, filed a complaint the following day with both he and the newspaper describing Sakho’s attitude as “unprofessional”. Paris Saint-Germain president Robin Leproux and manager Antoine Kombouaré issued an apology on the club’s behalf and Sakho later apologized to the journalist by telephone.[16][17][18]
2010–13[edit]
Sakho signing autographs at Paris Saint-Germain.
Sakho started the 2010–11 campaign partnering with Camara in defense. He was also installed as the team’s captain in the UEFA Europa League by manager Kombouaré due to the unavailability of Claude Makélélé. Midway through August, Sakho began appearing in the centre back position alongside veteran Sylvain Armand. He scored his first goal of the season on 11 September 2010 in a 4–0 victory over Arles-Avignon.[19] In Europe, Sakho captained the team in their 5–4 aggregate victory over Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Europa League playoff round.[20][21] He accomplished this feat again in the group stage leading the team to a 2–0 victory over Ukrainian club Karpaty Lviv.[22]On 16 October, Sakho scored the game-winning goal in a 2–0 victory over Toulouse.[23] In the team’s first match following the winter break, he scored his third goal of the campaign in Paris Saint-Germain’s victory over Sochaux.[24] After a prolonged period of negotiations, on 8 March 2011, Sakho signed a two-year contract extension with the club until June 2014.[25] On 20 April, he captained the team to a 3–1 victory over Angers in the semi-finals of the Coupe de France. The victory inserted the club into the 2011 Coupe de France Final; the club’s second consecutive appearance in the competition’s final match.[26] Paris Saint-Germain lost the match 1–0 to Lille. On 10 May, Sakho was nominated for the National Union of Professional Footballers (UNFP) Young Player of the Year award. Two weeks later, he won the honour. Sakho was also named to the organization’s Team of the Year alongside club teammate Nenê.[27]
Sakho began the 2011–12 season as the club’s first-choice captain under Kombouaré. On 13 August 2011, in the club’s second league match of the season, he suffered a hamstring injury.[28] Despite initially being ruled out for three weeks, Sakho missed two months and returned to the team in its 3–1 away win over Ajaccio. He remained a fixture in the team for the rest of the autumn campaign as PSG finished the first half of the league in first-place position.[29] In January 2012, Kombouaré resigned from his position. He was replaced by Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti. Under the helm of Ancelotti, Sakho retained the captaincy and appeared as a starter through March. However, after unconvincing performances in draws with Lyon, Caen, and Bordeaux, which resulted in the club losing its grip on first place, the captain was benched by Ancelotti and stripped of the captaincy. Ancelotti based Sakho’s benching on the increased competition in the squad as the Italian preferred the central duo of Milan Biševac and Alex.[30][31][31] Sakho was also questioned by club director Leonardo for being “slightly overweight”.[32]
After making a cameo appearance in the Le Classique,[33] Sakho made his second appearance since his benching on 29 April 2012 appearing as a first-half substitute for the injured Biševac against fellow title contenders Lille. In the second half, with Les Parisiens leading 1–0, Sakho conceded a penalty after fouling striker Nolan Roux.[34] The foul also resulted in a red card. Lille converted the penalty and later went on to win the match 2–1.[35]
On 26 May, in PSG’s final game of the season having already won the league, Sakho came on as an emergency goalkeeper for the final seven minutes against Lorient after substitute goalkeeper Ronan Le Crom had been sent off for fouling Julien Quercia to give away a penalty. Arnaud Le Lan converted the penalty, but PSG won 3–1.[36]
Liverpool[edit]

On 2 September 2013, Premier League club Liverpool announced the signing of Sakho for a fee of £18 million.[37]
2013–14[edit]
Sakho made his debut on 16 September 2013 against Swansea City in a 2–2 draw at the Liberty Stadium.[38] Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers had described the Frenchman as “a beast in training” prior to his debut.[39] On 7 December 2013, Sakho scored his first goal for Liverpool in a 4–1 win at Anfield against West Ham United.[40] Intermittent injuries limited Sakho to just 19 appearances, however he played a key role in Liverpool’s surprise title challenge where they eventually finished as runners-up in the Premier League.
2014–15[edit]
On 27 September 2014, Sakho was left out of the squad for the Merseyside Derby clash against Everton. Upon hearing the manager’s decision, he left the stadium. The Frenchman later apologised for his action.[41] After a poor beginning to the season, manager Brendan Rodgers switched to a 3-man defensive line in October – with Sakho playing a crucial part. His pace, athleticism, and ball playing abilities were key in this formation.[42] Sakho returned to the Liverpool team for a 2–2 draw with Arsenal on 22 December 2014[43] and went on to help the Reds to five clean sheets in eight Premier League matches.[44]
2015–16[edit]
Sakho began the season as backup to Dejan Lovren. On 17 September 2015, Sakho made his first start of the season; a man-of-the-match performance in a Europa League away match against Bordeaux, captaining the side in a 1–1 draw.[45] A day later, it was announced that he had signed a new long-term contract with the club.[46] Sakho was restored to the starting lineup and under new manager Jürgen Klopp was praised for his excellent form.[47] On 8 November, however, he sustained a knee injury in a 2–1 defeat to Crystal Palace at Anfield that ruled him out for two months.[48]
Sakho was praised in Liverpool’s victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League quarter-finals. He coped against in-form striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the 1–1 away draw in the first leg,[49] and then scored a header as they mounted a late comeback to win the second 4–3.
On 23 April 2016, it was announced that Sakho was being investigated by UEFA for violating an anti-doping rule, after he was tested on 17 March following a Europa League game against Manchester United.[50] The club, along with Sakho, agreed that while UEFA were investigating, he would not be available for team selection.[51] Five days later, after testing positive for a fat-burner, UEFA punished him with a 30-day ban from all European football, which FIFA extended to cover all world football.[52] On 28 May 2016, the ban expired after the substance was found to not be in the banned substance list.[53] On 8 July 2016, the case was dismissed by UEFA.[54]
2016–17[edit]
On 18 July 2016, it was announced that Sakho would wear the number 3 jersey for the 2016–17 season, switching from the number 17 he had worn since he joined Liverpool.[55]During Liverpool’s pre-season tour of the United States, Sakho was sent home by manager Jürgen Klopp for not respecting the rules that had been put in place for the squad. Klopp revealed that Sakho had been late for the team’s flight as well as for a subsequent medical treatment session and a team meal time.[56] As a result, Sakho was demoted from the senior squad and thus only played competitive football with the reserves in the Professional Development League that season.
Loan to Crystal Palace[edit]
On 31 January 2017, Sakho signed with Crystal Palace on loan until the end of the season. Sakho made his debut appearance in a 1–0 victory over Middlesbrough on 25 February, and was praised by manager Sam Allardyce for his role in Crystal Palace’s victory.[57] After Palace kept clean sheets in victories against West Bromwich Albion and Watford, Sakho was named a nominee for the Premier League’s Player of the Month award for March[58] and was also awarded Crystal Palace’s Player of the Month on March 31.[59] Sakho followed this up with well-received performances in Palace’s 1–2 victory at Stamford Bridge over league leaders Chelsea and a 3–0 home win over Arsenal.[60]
International career[edit]
Youth[edit]
Sakho has been active with France at youth level.[61] As early as the age of 13, he began featuring with regional youth sides playing for Île-de-France alongside fellow youth internationals Yacine Brahimi, Tripy Makonda, Maxime Partouche, and Sébastien Corchia. Sakho made his debut for the under-16 team on 21 March 2006 in a friendly match against Germany in a 3–1 victory.[62] He scored his only goal for the team in their 1–0 victory over England in the Montaigu Tournament.[63] France later won the competition defeating Italy2–1 in the final.[64] With the under-17 team, Sakho made his debut in the team’s opening match against Cyprus in an international youth tournament.[65] Midway through the season, Sakho was named captain by coach François Blaquart who noticed the player’s leadership skills. Under Sakho’s captaincy, the team reached the 2007 UEFA European Under-17 Football Championship and, later, the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup by virtue of their semi-final appearance in the UEFA-sanctioned tournament. At the U-17 World Cup, which was held in South Korea, Sakho captained the team to a quarter-final appearance where they lost to Spain in a penalty shootout.[66]
Due his increased playing time with his parent club, Sakho only made four appearances with the under-18 team. He made his debut for the team on 18 December 2007 in a friendly match against Portugal and later featured in two friendly matches against Germany, one of which was played at the GAZi-Stadion auf der Waldau in Stuttgart.[67][68] Similarly with the under-19 team, Sakho’s play with the team was limited not only due to his playing time with Paris Saint-Germain, but also due to his commitments with the under-21 team. Despite making only four appearances with the team, he was selected to play in the 2009 UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship. Paris Saint-Germain, however, refused his participation in order to preserve the player’s fitness with the player having already played in the 2009 Toulon Tournament, which was held the same month.[69]
Sakho made his France U21 debut on 19 August 2008 in a friendly match against Slovakia.[70] He played in the 2009 Toulon Tournament and captained the team on two occasions serving in place of the lead captain for the tournament, Étienne Capoue, who came off the bench. On 8 September 2009, Sakho scored his first under-21 goal in a 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship qualification match against Ukraine. The match ended in a 2–2 draw.[71] A month later, he was installed as the first-choice captain of the team following the selection of former captain Moussa Sissoko to the senior team.
Senior[edit]

On 5 August 2010, Sakho was called up to the French senior team for the first time by new manager Laurent Blanc for the team’s friendly match against Norway on 11 August 2010. He didn’t make his international debut in the match, but was subsequently called up by Blanc for national team matches in September and October 2010. On 17 November 2010, Sakho made his senior international debut against Englandin a 2–1 win at Wembley Stadium, appearing as a substitute at the start of the second half for Philippe Mexès.
On 19 November 2013, in the second leg of their 2014 World Cup qualifying play-off against Ukraine, Sakho scored his first and second international goals, giving Les Bleus a 3–2 aggregate win to qualify for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.[72]
On 13 May 2014, Sakho was named in Didier Deschamps‘ squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.[73] He made his FIFA World Cup debut in the team’s opening match, keeping a clean sheet in partnership with Raphaël Varane in a 3–0 defeat of Honduras.[74] In the second match, Les Bleus were again on course for a shutout with Sakho in defence, leading 3–0 against Switzerland when he was substituted with an injury in the 66th minute. The team eventually ran out 5–2 winners to qualify for the knockout stage.[75] Sakho returned to the side for the next match, helping France to another clean sheet in a 0–0 draw with Ecuador.[76]
Style of play[edit]
Sakho is renowned for his energy on the pitch, and has a cult status at Liverpool for his interaction with the supporters. In April 2016, Richard Innes of the Daily Mirror described him as “a defensive maverick; a man who plays by his own rules”, who practises an “often highly alternative approach” to defending.[49]
Personal life[edit]
Sakho is married to Majda, with whom he has two daughters, born in 2013 and 2015.[77]
As part of Liverpool’s work in the community, Sakho helps teach the French language to local children.[78]
