The last time they had spoken he had completely blown up at Midnight. For good reason, of course, but it wasn’t like he enjoyed doing so. 

“Let me see it.”

 He is holding his hand out, unflinching as he normally would have when considering the concept of touch. But this was too important to let his own discomfort cloud his judgement.

"Listen up, little man!" Hizashi smiled widely, eyes glinting behind his glasses. He had a good few hours before his shift at the radio station started, though given that he had just gotten off his patrol, he was still in his hero attire.

"Tsunagu is busy today. He got backed up at work. I know you two were supposed to go shopping for new clothing and what not, so he asked me to take you instead." Mikumo was a good kid. Tsun saw that in him. Hizashi just wished he could see that side of Mikumo as well. He knew the kid could be nice, but he obviously didn't like Hizashi all that much- given how rude he could be. However, Hizashi had put up with far worse. Maybe this little outing would change things?

Sero peered up at his brother, chatting wildly about how school was the day prior and picking up stones he thought were interesting and shoving them into his pocket to hide away for later. His brother was doing his best to keep up with the constant changing conversation until they reached the park. 

Sero immediately jumped with excitement and let go of his brother’s hand. There weren’t many kids there that day, just a couple but they weren’t the ones Sero usually played with so he wasn’t too interested in going over to them.

Kenzo sighed and just let his younger sibling run off. “Be careful Umiko!” Whether or not Sero heard him was unknown but the young child had made a beeline for the sandbox so he assumed they would be fine.
