You were sitting on the stands of Camp Nou anxiously waiting for the game to end. Barca was ahead by one and the game almost ended, when the referee blew the whistle, you happily stood up and hugged Fermin’s mom and dad celebrating. You and Fermin were long time friends and you occasionally paid a visit to him since his first game. You were so proud of him for achieving his dream while you were stuck in a smaller town you grew up together. You always knew he’d be a famous star and your admiration turned into something more over the years but being too afraid to ruin the friendship, you never told him. Your families, being close friends, always wanted something to happen between you two but you always shut it down embarrassed. You knew he would never feel the same and just stopped holding out hope after he became a Barcelona star entirely, just content with having him as a friend.

“You should go to him, dear.” his mom said after players started getting off the field.

“Oh, I’m sure he’s busy celebrating in the locker room. I wouldn’t want to interrupt.” you coyly smiled, even though you have been to many games you never went to him after the game. It felt like something a girlfriend could do.

“Oh don’t be silly, I’m sure he’d be more than happy to see you.”

You just nodded and made your way into the tunnels nervously fidgeting with your hands and texted Fermin you were out there to congratulate him. He didn’t text back but soon he opened the door to the locker room still laughing with his friends.

“Hey you.” he said as he picked you up happily and you embraced him. He was still sweaty but you didn’t care.

“I’m so proud of you, you were amazing out there.” you smiled and said.

“Well I couldn’t disappoint my biggest fan.” he cheekily said and you laughed.

“Well, you didn’t.” he kissed your temple and grinned from ear to ear.

“Listen I need to get back in there to shower but there’s this party to celebrate the win. Do you think you can make it?” you actually had a ride tomorrow and still had to pack but seeing his big eyes pleading with you did wonders.

“Of course” you smiled and he hugged you once more before going inside the room. You made your way to his parents also informing them that you’ll catch a ride with Fermin to his friends’ house and be back together. They simply nodded and told you to have fun but make sure he doesn’t do anything stupid, you just laughed.

Fermin has texted you to meet him at the car park, you were incredibly nervous because even though you’ve been here before you never actually met his friends in person. You saw them when you facetimed Fermin but that’s it.

You soon heard his voice behind you and smiled as your eyes met. His smile was enough to melt you, he was so dreamy looking with his damp hair and normal clothes. You realized you were staring and turned your head to his friends examining them. He was with Ferran and Gavi.

“Hi” you smiled shyly “I’m Y/N”

“Trust me we know who you are, Fermin here doesn’t shut up about you it’s kinda cute.” Pablo said and you looked at Fermin only for him to look down and smile.

You all went into Ferran’s car, you and Fermin in the backseat.

“So you talk about me to your friends?”

“No, maybe” he said and turned around to look outside the car, embarrassed. You could feel your heart racing at the thought.

When you finally arrived at Pablo’s house he told you to get comfortable and went into the kitchen to get snacks and drinks. You thought it would be rude if you didn’t help so followed him shortly after.

“Hey” you smiled “Can I help you with anything?”

He looked back and smiled.

“No it’s all good, you’re the guest just enjoy yourself.”

You were about to reply when the doorbell rang. It was some of their other friends, you didn’t know it was that kind of party but decided meeting new people couldn’t hurt. Unfortunately, it didn’t go as planned as you saw the girls that came in circle Fermin almost immediately. Since you weren’t always around, you didn’t exactly know about his love life. He never told you anything about it and you didn’t have the heart to ask but tonight, you understood his lifestyle completely. You were wallowing in your own sorrow whilst he was enjoying everything that fame brought. He had his arm around one blonde while talking to another and you were staring with a nearly full beer bottle in hand. Story of your life. That was until you felt the couch move next to you.

“If you want him to notice you, you need to have fun.” Pablo smirked and handed you a cocktail.

“I- I don’t”

“Don’t even say ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about’ when you’ve been sitting with heartbreak written on your beautiful face.” you immediately looked up at him not knowing how to feel but he just giggled.

“Don’t worry I’m not trying to steal you from him, I’m not that evil. I just want to help.”

“Why would you want that?” you inquired.

“Because he’s too dumb to see how he really feels but I think we can make him see you.”

“How?” you said intrigued by his proposal but also, terrified of doing something to hurt Fermin.

“First, as I said before, you need to let loose and start having fun.” he again tried handing you the glass and you took it with caution.

It was well into the party and you were on your fourth cocktail getting more relaxed with each. Pablo never left your side and made conversation with you. You were actually glad you took his advice because this was way more fun than sitting in silence feeling bad about yourself. Pablo was cracking jokes left and right and you found yourself laughing harder and harder. You occasionally felt Fermin’s eyes on you questioning your sudden demeanor change but Pablo said not to give him any attention, he also told you Fermin was too confident in his relationship with you to understand he could lose it easily. You really took in his words and decided he was right, no matter if you were single or taken, Fermin knew you would drop everything to be by his side any time but you not even speaking to him for hours made him feel uneasy.

Pablo looked at Fermin glaring at you two and leaned in your ear to tell you he was looking like he’s about to explode and from the outside, the state you were in seemed like full on flirting with him in your ear and you giggling like a school girl. When he finally pulled away you were faced with a distraught Fermin in front of you.

“We’re leaving. Let’s get your stuff.” he said reaching his arm out for you to take it.

“But I was having fun.” you whined with alcohol in your system, yes you were tipsy.

“Y/N I said we’re leaving.” he said sternly and was about to give in when Pablo interrupted.

“I can drop her off tomorrow, you don’t have to worry about her bro.”

Your eyes widened and you could see Fermin getting more worked up. He didn’t say anything just reached for your arm, he wasn’t harsh but put enough pressure for you to get up. You quickly looked at Pablo who gave you a knowing smile and mouthed ‘it worked’ You smiled to him and Fermin caught on, being more hasty and getting you away from Pablo immediately.

When you were waiting for a car to drive you back to his house, it was dead silent. You wanted to speak but didn’t know what to say and Fermin didn’t look like he wanted to speak at all. You thought of an idea with your drunk mind and executed it before your brain can stop you, you quickly wrapped your arms around his torso and put your head in the crook of his neck. You could sense him freeze for a moment before embracing you. You knew he could never say no to you, as you could never say no to him. As you hugged, the tension slowly disappeared, he was much more calm now.

“I don’t like the thought of you with one of my friends.” he finally confessed without looking at you.

“Why not?” you questioned.

“Because they don’t deserve you.” he said and you tried to get him to look at your eyes but he was looking everywhere else.

“You said that about all my boyfriends Fermin, who is good enough for me then?”

Please say me, please say me, please say me you thought. You knew this was a risky conversation but Pablo’s words and Fermin’s actions tonight made your hopes go up again. You thought it’s tonight or never.

“Fermin?” you questioned when he didn’t say anything.

“What?”

“I’m asking, who’s good enough for me?” you pressed.

He paused again which made you incredibly irritated. Why wasn’t he saying anything?

“I am, okay I’m the only one who knows you and loves you. I know everything about you and I believe I’m the only one who can make you the happiest! And I always thought we’d be together until tonight, when I saw how comfortable you were with Pablo and it freaked me out because I’ll never forgive myself if I lost my chance!” he finally yelled out, frustrated.

You couldn’t even react due to hearing what you’ve always dreamed about. You wanted to scream and run to him but all you could do was stand there while you tried processing the information Fermin shouted your way and you could see his eyes closed.

“I shouldn’t have said any of that Y/N I’m sorry I don’t know- I just needed you to know I’m sorry I really-

You cut him off by kissing him while his eyes were still closed, he opened them with shock but quickly shut them again kissing you back. You thought about every possible reaction you could give him but nothing seemed as good as this one, you’ve always dreamed about kissing him and your emotions took over. His hands found your cheeks as he held you like you could break, his kiss was gentle and sweet filled with love. You were on cloud nine enjoying your first kiss when a car honked forcing you to break the kiss. He smiled at you and you smiled back, noses still touching.

“I think that’s our ride.” he whispered, still smiling.

“Yeah” you said out of breath.

He held your hand and opened the car door for you to get in and hopped in after you. You were still in shock trying to understand if this is a dream but your thoughts soon disappeared when he held your hand and pulled you closer in the backseat helping your face settle on his chest allowing you to hear his heartbeat and it was almost as fast as yours. You closed your eyes taking his scent in, being happier than ever. You were at peace.

another match day! it was always fun, you were always in company with your brother and just looking out after him. sure the loan to barçelona was a lot but to see your brother in a smile and just not down, was all you wanted. you were now sitting at the very front with your vip lanyard around your neck watching your brother interact with his teammates while warming up. you were looking around watching the others, only for pedri to be staring at you. you looked at him before he smirked at you and went back to his warm up, you furrowed your brows confused, what exactly did he want and what was his issue.. you thought to yourself. he was quite handsome tho, you saw pedri talking to a friend of his. you just shrugged it off and continued watching joão interact with his teammates and do what he had to do. afterall being his sister meant to take you out anywhere, the two of you had a close bond so when he had told you that he got into barçelona it was happy tears for him and you. now you were sitting at the stadium with his jersey on you. you saw him talking with pedri, not that you didnt find it weird, you were known already in the locker room just as “joão’s sister” everybody. and by everybody the whole locker room, knew your name because of a few stalkers on instagram stalking posts about you. joão had to try and put something to an end and that was because of how protective he was over you, he knew what’d happen if any of the younger ones your age would get near you. who’d know. everybody knew you had a crush on some of the players..everybody but your brother himself. and that was what sucked for you, pedri knew you liked him & so did fermin. as in for your brother he just didn’t know anything.

eventually it was officially time for the match to almost start as you saw joão head down into the locker room. he waved at you to head down to the locker room as you rolled your eyes before getting up from your seating as you walked down to the locker room. you saw joão standing there as you smiled before you ran to him and jumped into his arms, “someone’s very happy to see me..” he said as you smacked his arm before getting down, “well si, i had to watch you warm up. that’s about it..” you said as you heard a pair of cleats drop on the floor making you and joão turn around towards the locker room as pedri looked at you yet again, you swallowed as he picked the pair of his cleats up smirking at you again, “what’s up with her coming in here joão?” he said as you gripped the hem of your shirt before he walked towards your brother, “es mi hermana tonto, what do you expect.” (she’s my sister dumbass) he said slapping his arm as you giggled, he looked at you as you blushed looking back. you thought the innocent but bad thoughts, this would be fucked up slightly for you..but for him? “joão! i’ll be going now. do good out there!” you said before kissing his cheek as you walked out the locker room before you heard pedri shout, “adios y/n!” you went to the bathroom, you washed your hands and just flicked water on your face. you let out a shaky breath before walking back to the pitch as you sat back on your seat, you took pictures of the view and then yourself, you saw pedri looking for you, of course.. after the interaction in the locker room, that was besides the point until you heard the whistle blow. the match had officially started. you watched joão pass the ball & keep it away, you were only focused on your brother. you were here to watch and support him regardless of either a loss or a win, barely into the game the other group scored into the net, you looked immediately for joão as he was dissapointed and just stood there shaking his head. you huffed loudly rolling your eyes as it was only SECONDS in, just already one goal for the other team. few minutes go by and you witness joão make his first shot, leaving it blocked by the others goalkeeper. you witnessed one of fermins shot as well, you bit your lip staring at the boys hands, god what were you thinking. as the 20 minutes went by joão kept shooting & just aiming for the net, but the other goalkeeper kept blocking. the whistle blew for half time, so far 1 to 0. you saw the others dissapointed, as gavi went up to you. “so si veniste.” he said as you jumped and hugged him, “si, te dijo mi hermano?” you said as he hugged you back, “pues si, habla de ti como cada dia.” he said as he rolled your eyes, you giggled before the two of you made your way down to the locker room. “gavi tengo una pregunta-“ you said as he stopped walking and looked at you, “dime?” he said furrowing his brows as you played with your fingers, “desde que vine, pedri y fermin me an mirado mucho. o sea que saben que yo quiero a los dos poco menos a pedri pero mas a fermin, o algo pero me hacen caras..” (since i came, pedri & fermin have been giving me looks, like as if they know i like them but not as much with pedri but more with fermin or something, but they make faces..) you said as he widened his eyes, “no te preocupes, yo les digo.” he said patting your head as you smiled before the two of you went down to the locker room, you saw joão talking to fermin as you stopped walking and stood there. you saw fermin stop talking to joão as your brother stopped talking before turning around, “quien te trajo para aqui-“ he said as you pointed at gavi, “oh..” he said as he kissed your forehead, you smiled as your hands ran through his sweaty hair. your face being grossed out as he punched your arm slightly.

“not funny.” you said as he smiled before you saw pedri come by and eyed you up & down, “aw you came back to visit, how cute..” he said as you gulped, “no pienses tú en tenerla.” (don’t even think in wanting her.) joão said as you giggled watching him get overprotective, “joão no pasa nada..” (joão nothing bad is wrong.) you said smacking his back as he rolled his eyes, “si. si pasa algo.” he said as you whined before pedri chuckled, “yo no hago nada, ademas ta bonita tu hermana, even fermin thinks so too right?.” he said as you blushed, before fermin looked at you then pedri, “shut up.” he said as pedri winked at you the second joão looked away as you felt a heartbeat down on your clit, as in for fermin he was looking into your eyes. you looked at him as you smiled at him before you kissed joão’s cheek, “well, my cue to go now. do well in your second half of the game loser!” you said as he slapped your arm playfully, you pouted before you waved bye at the three boys as you and gavi walked back to the pitch. “ni piensen ustedes a tocarla o nada. vale?” he said to both pedri and fermin as they both nodded their heads, “shes off limits.” he said as pedri chuckled, “really? she’s very innocent but either way maybe tell fermin that.” pedri said before fermin rolled his eyes, “shut up already.” it was time for the players to go back into the pitch for second half. you sat back down on your seat as you watched all the players walk out of the locker room and into the pitch. you saw joão run to his position as he waved at you, you waved back smiling. as for pedri he gave you a smirk again you rolled your eyes as fermin waved at you, your heart did the little flutter beat. as you waved back. no goal so far as minutes passed by, but until the 50th minute you saw a teammate of your brothers start arguing as joão stepped in. you saw pedri push the other players away from your brother as you shook your head in dissapointment, but then that was until the next 3 minutes when the boys had scored. the loud cheers of the goal as you screamed in happiness, the 1 to 0 frustrating the team until you saw your brother happy.

by then the next minutes went by as barça was given the penalty, you saw the teammates all huddle for the penalty as everyone cheered the second the ball went into the net, marking it 2 to 0. you screamed again jumping around as you saw the smile on your brothers face, you giggled as you were happy. the last minutes went by and it was finaly, barçelona won as you were happy. you saw joão clapping for the chants as he waved at you and you waved back, you smiled a lot, you were so glad he was happy. seeing him happy made you happy as well. once everybody starting leaving gavi went to your seating as he pat your head, “niña vamos con tú hermano” he said as you giggled before the two of you made your way to the locker room, you didnt see joão so you thought he must’ve taken a shower which you didnt mind since your driving but you saw pedri and fermin. gavi held you by your arm since your obviously the youngest and you have to be around somebody older than you due to your brothers call. pedri went up to you as he towered you, “what do you want..“ you said before looking up at him, his scent drove you insane as he was out of the shower. you swallowed as your breathing began to change, gavi pushed him off “no jodas, te cacha joão y es tu culpa.” he said as you giggled watching his reaction, gavi gave pedri a glare before going to fermin to talk to him. pedri towered you again as you gulped, “so how’d you like the game after i had to go and get onto your brother..” he said as you nodded your head, “it was okay, you know you’re really good at your job..” you said giggling as he smiled, “you’re very pretty you know that right..” he said as he ran his finger on your cheek, caressing it with his cheek. “i-i don’t think y-you should-“ you said before you heard joãos voice, you smacked pedris hand off, before pushing him away slightly, as you ran to joão as he lifted you up hugging you, you giggled as pedri watched the two of you interact before your brother put you down. you smiled as he kissed your forehead, “you played really well again! also am driving.” you said as he chuckled before you saw pedri talking with fermin.

tomorrow was indeed a birthday party..well yours.. but joão would be in charge of it mostly so who knew what this little idiot would throw. “so who’s coming then..” you said holding onto the stering wheel, “well i’m not sure, i thought of the teammates-“ he said as you hit on the break in the middle of nowhere, “are you fucking kidding me.” you said staring at him, “minutes ago you were just saying to not talk to them, what is going on with your head.” you said before driving again, he chuckled at your reaction. “well this time it’ll be different y/n, more equal & more fair. so don’t worry.” he said patting your head as you rolled your eyes before the two of you got home, you parked the car. “it’s okay joão, just be supportive and happy for me, you know..” you said before you got out the car as he got out the car himself, “not with those idiots, they’re crazy.” he said as you giggled before walking inside the house following your brother inside. “hii floki, i missed you more than joão!” you said holding him as you heard him scoff, “don’t lie now y/n.” joão said as you giggled before walking past him to the kitchen, “so what’s the plan for tomo-“ joão shushed you as you stared at him, “that’s a surprise, you’ll be happy. i promise.” he said as you nodded your head giggling before kissing his cheek, “goodnight then! i’ll see you tomorrow!” you said before going upstairs to your room, you put floki down on your bed before walking to your dresser looking for a pair of bra and panties for the long ass shower you were about to take. just as you were about to walk into the bathroom you heard your phone buzz, you looked down at your phone. an instagram notification, you swallowed thickly and nervously as you opened your phone. “_ferminlopez has started following you” you smiled widely as you giggled, you finished everything with your routine.

from there on, you and fermin texted the whole night but let’s just say pedri had done the same thing.

you were currently deep asleep, your hair in a messy bun and you were wearing a white shirt with grey shorts. the door slammed open as you were still asleep, you felt a weight shift on your bed as you heard floki sniffing around you, a small groan murmuring out your lips as you turned around now laying on your side, “wake up, i have something for you downstairs.” you heard joão whisper as you rubbed your eyes before sitting up, “what’d you get me..” you mumbled before he went to your side picking you up, “que chingaos haces! pon me pabajo!” (what the fuck are you doing! put me down!) you said swinging your legs around as you were on his shoulder before he walked downstairs, he put you down as you saw the pink happy birthday balloon and the small red velvet cake, “awww you care for me tooo, thank you!” you said as he hugged you, “of course i do, you’re my sister dork.” he said as you giggled, before you sat on the highchair. “can u get me a spoon..” you said as he nodded his head before giving you a spoon as you grabbed the small cake, before you dug the spoon in the cake. “wait, who’s flowers are those-“ you said before grabing a spoonful of the cake, stuffing it in your mouth as joão pointed at you, “they’re yours. i bought them.” he said as you smiled before your phone lit up.

you blushed heavily as you just hearted the message, you kept just eating the cake before you heard joão come out his room. “i’m going to the store for later on, text me if you need anything and-“ he said before you giggled, “and don’t open the door unless it’s someone here to babysit me or your teammates. yes joão i know, now don’t worry as much about me dork.” you said as he chuckled before he left, you put the cake away after licking the frosting off the spoon as you laid down on the couch before going on your phone replying to every birthday message even fermins.

They were at their parents' house, and Pedri got a call from one of his friends that they're going out for some drinks

Fernando walked into the room, rolling his eyes at the twins that always seem to be fighting

"what is it now?" he asked

"Gavi called me and told me they're going out for some drinks. y/n won't agree on coming with me" Pedri said, making y/n huff.

"who's gonna be there?" Fer asked, making y/n look at him suspiciously

"well Gavi and Ferran for sure, probably Fermin and Felix too. I'm pretty sure Raphinha is bringing his wife with him, so y/n should go too" he whined

Fernando looked at y/n with a knowing look when Pedri said Ferran's name, y/n's eyes widened while she shook her head quickly at Fernando.

"she'll go. get up" he pulled her on her feet, while Pedri smiled. y/n groaned and followed Fernando to her room.

"why did you do that? I don't feeling like talking to anyone today" she said annoyed.

An overwhelming sense of panic and unease washed over her when she felt his hand on her waist. Her breath was shallow and a knot was forming in her stomach.

All she wanted to do was push him away, but she seemed to be frozen and can't move.

"hey babe. did you get your drink yet?" a familiar voice said from behind her. The man behind her moving away quickly.

She let out a shaky breath, turning to see Ferran standing there with a worried expression on his face

"you okay?" he asked, taking small steps closer to her.

"I just need to get some air" she whispered pushing past him and getting out of the club

She stood outside, her heart felt like it was about to burst out of her chest, pounding so loud she could almost hear it. Every breath was a struggle, as if the air had turned thick and suffocating.

She clutched her chest, feeling the tight grip of anxiety squeezing her. The world around her seemed to blur as her mind raced with fearful thoughts, making it hard to focus on anything else. She desperately tried to find a sense of calm, but the panic had taken hold, leaving her feeling helpless and overwhelmed.

Ferran ran behind her, seeing her struggle to breath. He sat her down against the wall, cupping her cheeks in his hands and trying to look her in the eyes.

"hey look at me. Take a deep breath. You're safe now preciosa" he said softly, his voice soothing. (precious)

y/n felt his calming presence in front of her, as the blur in her eyes was starting to disappear. Ferran guided her through a breathing exercise, until she was able to breath normally.

He brought her face closer to his, pressing a small kiss on her forehead and hugging her securely

Ferran was giving her a sense of security she had never felt in her life. And that was terrifying considering she only knew him for a little while now

"don't cry precosia. you're safe and no one will hurt you" he whispered in her hair, his fingers running down from her head to her back, rubbing it calmly.

He pulled her head away from his neck, running his fingers under her eyes to wipe her tears away.

"do you want me to take you home?" he asked her, his hands never letting go of her face

She nodded her head slowly, before Ferran got up and pulled her up with him.

You looked at Fermin trying to see if he’s in. He felt your eyes on him and turned to you smiling ear to ear. He squeezed your hand and kissed the back of it. Tonight was first in a while, since Fermin had a lot on his plate you couldn’t really go out and have fun like any other 20 year olds.

“Juguemos!” Pedri chimed in while dropping one arm around you and one around Fermin, you formed a circle on the ground around the coffee table. There were roughly 12 of you and everyone cheered truth or dare.

It was going incredibly fun, Pablo had to discard his shirt while Ferran had to kiss Sara and Sophia and Balde spent 7 minutes in heaven, just then, the bottle spun in Fermin’s direction.

“Ooh Fermin, what should I make you do?” Pedri said while putting his hands together in a playful manner.

“He should strip.” Gavi said while laughing hysterically.

“No he should not.” you said making everyone laugh.

“Someone’s jealous.” Sophia added making you realize you said it out loud. Your cheeks turned bright red.

You were startled by his reaction but since the game was still going on, you didn’t want to ask him in front of everyone.

Throughout the game, you tried to hold Fermin’s hand and talk to him like you did all night but all you got in return was side eyed looks and some light hand holding. Something was definitely wrong and you knew it was probably about your answer but Fermin always knew your fondness of Theo James and he never had a problem. So why was this an issue now?

You also sat in the car and Pedri drove you over to the party, during the car ride you were singing along the songs with Pedri and you felt happy to see him this happy but in the back of your mind, also in the back of the car, was Fermin’s reaction to your hands touching. You couldn’t help but look back a few times seeing him on his phone texting.

Once you arrived, the party was already on and everyone was drinking heavily. When you saw Pedri grabbing a whole bottle in his hands, you figured you should at least stay sober for the drive back and let him enjoy his night. Your eyes scanned the room and found Ferran and Sarah sitting so you decided to join them.

“Hi Y/N!!!” she shouted over the music drunk and you laughed sitting down. You were chatting with them for a while until your eyes fell onto Fermin sitting down on an armchair in the corner, he had a beer bottle in his hand and he didn’t look like he was enjoying himself.

“Hey Ferran, do you know if Fermin’s okay?” you asked getting concerned about his demeanor, Pedri always told you he was like a ray of sunshine and he certainly didn’t look like it now.

“Oh yeah, I’m sure he’s fine.” he said too drunk to care and you rolled your eyes at him.

You thought about it for a while, should you approach him and ask or mind your own business? You decided to go with the first option because this was your nature, you couldn’t enjoy yourself if you saw anyone down. This was a celebration and he had a big part in the game so he should do what his teammates are doing.

You slowly made your way over to him, suddenly feeling a little shy about your decision. You already thought he didn’t like you that much, what if he didn’t want to be bothered

When you finally made your way over, he looked up immediately at your eyes but didn’t say anything. Usually, he’d avoid looking at you but this time he didn’t take his eyes off of you. You suddenly felt vulnerable under his gaze, it was intense.

“Hey” you softly said and just then he looked away.

“Hey” his voice was emotionless.

“I just wanted to make sure you’re feeling okay, you don’t exactly look like you’re at a party, maybe more like a funeral.” you joked trying to lighten the situation and he joined you. This was the first time he gave you any kind of emotion and you immediately felt relieved.

You decided to take a seat at the armrest of the chair because people were coming in every direction trying to steady themselves with anything in their way and you really didn’t feel like being a crutch but Fermin’s whole body tensed the moment you sat. You weren’t even in a weird position, your bodies had some distance but you felt like you were making him uncomfortable. Embarrassed, you quickly got up but he placed his hand on the side of your waist pulling you to sit again. Fermin retracted his hand as soon as he placed it and you didn’t know what to do. You looked back at him and saw he was looking down at his hands holding the bottle, no matter how many seconds passed he never looked up at you.

You decided it’s best if you let him be, he wasn’t your friend and none of his actual friends were actually trying to help him. Maybe this was how he acted whenever he’s out of the pitch or maybe you were right, he disliked you but either way you knew your intentions were good but they made him uncomfortable.

“I just wanted to check on you, hope you have a lovely night Fermin.” you said whilst giving his shoulder a squeeze and you felt it again, his body froze for a second before relaxing into your touch but he didn’t say anything. So you decided not to bother him anymore and went back to the couch Sarah and Ferran were now making out on. You laughed at how much they liked PDA, you weren’t into it at all but seeing them inseparable made you a little sad. Ever since you placed foot into the party Pedri was going around, drinking and singing with everyone but ne never came to you. He didn’t check on you, let alone kiss you all night and you thought for a moment if Fermin’s depression was contagious.

As much as you wanted to be sober tonight, your mind was going places it shouldn’t you had to drown the bad feelings with alcohol. You didn’t go crazy or anything but had one (or two) cocktails which had much more alcohol in it than any club you’ve ever been to. You couldn’t believe two glasses would make you tipsy but here you were, sitting alone at a party with people you know and somewhat like feeling a little buzz. You didn’t know how long you’ve been sitting but you came to your senses when Joao approached you.

“Hey Y/N, we’re just putting Pedri in a guest room for tonight. He’s out of it, just wanted to let you know. You’re welcome to stay with him of course.” he smiled at you but your mood was even worse right now. You were hoping to talk to him about your concerns after you got home, you needed the reassurance but it didn’t look like he could do anything other than sleep now. You tried to act nonchalant in front of Joao and thanked him saying you needed to get home for a class tomorrow but it was obviously a lie, you just didn’t want to be there anymore and grabbed your coat to call it a night. You told your goodbyes and stepped out into the cold Barcelona night.

You knew you had alcohol in your system but also knew it wasn’t a lot. You pretty much sobered after talking to Joao. As you were walking to Pedri’s car your eyes fell on Fermin who had a vape in his hands.

“I didn’t know you vaped.” you said before thinking, if you thought before you talked you wouldn’t even say anything. He’s made it clear he wasn’t comfortable with you.

He quickly turned back and hid the vape in his pocket.

“I don’t.” you laughed at his attempt but kept walking.

“Where are you going?” he asked

“Home, duh.”

“But you’re drunk.” you stopped in your tracks, you just had a glass and you didn’t think anyone would notice.

“It was just one and I’m feeling hundred percent sober.” you looked back at him.

“It was actually two, you can’t drive while intoxicated.”

He was stern, you’ve never seen him this direct.

“Well you’re not supposed to vape but you don’t see me calling Xavi.” you quipped back and he laughed at your attempt.

“Fermin, it was just two cocktails I had an hour ago, I’m fine really.” but he didn’t listen, he walked over and took the keys out of your hand walking to Pedri’s car leaving you shocked.

“What are you doing?” you asked

“I’ll drive you. Get in.”

“No, you’re the intoxicated one. I’m driving.” you said and held out your hand for him to give the keys back but he was already at the door opening it.

“I literally had three sips of beer Y/N, I said I’m driving.” He didn’t let you argue and sat in the car waiting for you.

You huffed and got in the seat next to him, you’d never accept it but you felt a little better now that you didn’t have to drive. If it was under any other circumstances you’d just crawl into the bed with Pedri but you were agitated and just wanted to get home. But Fermin didn’t need to know that.

You decided to put some music on to make the uncomfortable silence go away and quickly realized you were still a little bit tipsy because you started to sing along with whatever was on radio.

You sat there singing the song and every once in a while you felt Fermin’s eyes on you, he looked much more relaxed now and smiled from time to time which made you feel better.

“Are you hungry?” you asked after the song ended.

“Uh, yeah a little.” he nodded. You looked at his side profile, his hair was not styled but it looked nice.

No, you shook your head. No.

“Y/N?”

“What?”

“You asked a question and didn’t say anything after that.” he chuckled.

You felt embarrassed about your action and your cheeks heated up.

“Uh, me too. Do you want to get Mc Donald’s?”

“Okay.” he said and drove to the closest one while you looked out of the window. Stop it, you scolded yourself.

He stopped at the drive through and ordered you both something to eat and no matter how many times you tried, you wouldn’t let you pay.

“Thank you but you didn’t have to pay.” you said feeling a little out of place, Pedri paid for so many things and it never bothered you because you also did it for him.

Pedri, you suddenly realized your current situation. As angry as you were, sitting in his car with his friend having a great time at a McDonald’s parking lot felt weird. It didn’t feel bad and that’s the part that made you freak out. Fermin noticed.

“Are you okay?”

“Hmm, what?” you asked

“You’ve had that nugget in your hand for minutes and haven’t said anything.” he chuckled and you looked at your hand holding the nugget. It was half eaten and you weren’t feeling hungry anymore.

“I think I’m full.”

“Oh okay, I’ll just finish it.” he said and reached over the console taking the rest of the nugget from your hand. You felt shivers.

“You could’ve asked nicely.” you scolded him but he didn’t care just finished chewing.

“It’s pretty late, I think we should get some sleep.” you said after that and he agreed.

“Where are you going?” you asked as he took a left.

“Pedri’s” he simply said not looking at you. The weird tension between you seemed like it’s back or maybe you were just more sober now.

“My house is in the opposite direction.”

“You don’t live with him?” Fermin asked.

“No” you simply said and looked out of the window. It wasn’t like the subject wasn’t talked about, because you spent half of your week over at his but since he lived with Fer, it’s not that easy to move in and Pedri never really said he wanted you to.

“So are you going to give me any directions or should I just go in every street until we come across your home?” he jokingly said and you didn’t know what it was but he felt warmer now. Fermin was truly unreadable. One minute he was all down and cold and in the next minute he was joking with you.

“Oh, yeah. Let’s turn right here.” you started giving him directions and he finally came to your apartment.

“Thank you so much Fermin and I promise to not tell Xavi about the vaping since you were nice to me and bought me McDonald’s. It’ll be our secret.” you smiled and gave him a side hug. Even though it became awkward from time to time, he made your night better.

“Good night Y/N.” he smiled softly and pressed his lips to your cheek with a barely there kiss.

“Good night.” You hopped out of the car and closed the door. When you reached your door you were about to get your key from your purse and looked back on the road to see Fermin was still waiting for you to get in. You smiled one last time and made your way inside.

This was a weird night.

That night after Fermin dropped you at your place you had a weird feeling in your stomach you couldn’t quite place, you didn’t do anything wrong, you kept reminding yourself. Fermin is literally Pedri’s friend, he was just doing you a favor and you’re mad at Pedri because he left you alone, that’s it.

After taking a much needed shower to clear your thoughts you laid on your bed hoping to sleep quickly but unfortunately, you weren’t that lucky and had trouble falling asleep. You felt upset about Pedri’s behavior at the party and suddenly realized all the other times he made you feel uneasy in public, there were times he didn’t feel comfortable being seen with you because you weren’t official yet and that’s understandable given the fact that he’s insanely famous but a part of you felt like you shouldn’t be hidden no matter what. The more you thought about it, the sadder you felt but finally, you felt your eyes closing.

The next morning you woke up a little late and with a headache, great, you thought. You found your phone in between your sheets and looked at missed notifications secretly hoping to see a good morning text from Pedri but there was something else. An unsaved number texted you at 8.32 am

Hey, good morning! Hope you’re okay and don’t have a headache or stomachache, I think eating McDonald’s that late was a mistake 😅

You immediately realized it was Fermin and your heart warmed with his thoughtful words, he didn’t have to text you or check up on you but still did it while your boyfriend couldn’t even bother asking if you went home okay. It’s not like he was asleep because you knew for a fact he had practice this morning so he had to be up. You decided not to let it get to you and started typing.

Hey thank you so much for everything, I don’t know how I’d survive last night without you! And yes the nuggets definitely were a mistake lol, hope you’re okay too

You reread the text trying to make sure it’s not weird but why would it be weird, it’s just two friends checking up on each other even though you didn’t even know he had your number before today. He could’ve easily got it from Pedri, right?

Fermin didn’t text you back after that and you thought maybe it’s for the best but you also didn’t hear from Pedri until well into the afternoon when he called.

“Hey” he smiled softly like he wasn’t black out drunk last night

“Hey” you said with slight coldness in your voice but you weren’t doing it on purpose.

“Are we still on for tonight?” he asked without even mentioning anything about the previous night’s events and you were kind of taken aback.

“What’s tonight?”

“We have that charity event, remember, I told you a week ago.” you suddenly remembered him asking you to accompany him to this fancy event.

At first you were thrilled with the idea thinking this may be the night you make your relationship official but he quickly shut the idea down by telling you he’d pose for the cameras out front and meet up with you once the auction starts. You were less excited now but still said yes and forgot about it all till now.

“Oh yeah, sure we’re still going. How are you planning on going there?”

“The boys and I were thinking about getting a limo, can you take an Uber and meet me there?”

“Do you not want me in the limo?” you asked shocked by how inconsiderate he was being. First he hides you from the world and now he wants you to step in an Uber with a fancy looking dress and ride there alone.

“No of course not, you can come get ready at mine then. I’ll be at the house by five.”

“You know what, I’ll find my own way Pedri. You don’t have to worry about me, not that you care.” you said and ended the call feeling agitated.

He tried calling you a few more times but you didn’t pick up, you even considered turning your phone off and not showing up but wanted to have a nice night with him, maybe this could solve your issues.

You started getting ready for the event, trying on 2 different dresses. One was an off the shoulder black silk maxi dress and the other was a dark red spaghetti strap maxi dress with a wide slit on the side and a corset as a top. You took mirror selfies with both dresses and sent it to your best friend who was on top of your messages app and started on your makeup as you waited for an answer. Your phone pinged not long after and you picked it up expecting it to be Elena but was shocked to see Fermin’s name on the screen. You remembered saving his number in the morning. He sent you a single text.

Your cheeks heat up immediately realizing your mistake, you sent the photos to Fermin instead of Elena because he was the last person you texted.

You wrote back but made a mental note to wear the red dress, maybe it was that much better. You anxiously waited an answer from Fermin but it never came and you felt stupid, did he think you did it on purpose or was he being the cold and stoic Fermin you know again? You felt like you managed to make him open up more and made progress in your friendship and would hate if he went back to being distant. You thought about what can you text him that would make him answer but before you could find something your phone started ringing.

You picked it up slightly nervous.

“Hey”

“Hey, are you not riding with everyone else to the venue?” he asked straight away without even asking how you were.

“No, um, I’ll go straight from my place so…” you drifted off not knowing how to explain why you weren’t going with your boyfriend.

“Are you ready?”

“Well, I’ll probably be ready in 15.” you looked at yourself in the mirror, you had the dress on and your makeup was almost done.

“Okay, I’ll pick you up then.” he suggested but his voice was so neutral you couldn’t understand any emotion behind it.

“What? Fermin you don’t ha…”

“I’m on my way Y/N. I’ll text you once I’m outside.” he said and hung up before you could even reply.

You stood there for a few moments trying to understand what just happened, why was Fermin this interested in how you’ll arrive at the venue or how you’re doing and more importantly, why wasn’t Pedri?

You decided to push these thoughts away and put on your accessories for the night but was a little too slow because Fermin already texted you before you could put everything on. You told him you need 5 more minutes and he was welcome to wait in your living room whilst you finish up and he soon rang the doorbell.

You opened the door revealing Fermin in a suit, this was the first time you’ve seen him this formal and admittedly, he looked nice. Actually he looked so good that you had to tear your eyes away from him but he didn’t look like he noticed, he was too busy looking at your figure with wide eyes. This may be the longest he’s ever looked your way but once you made proper eye contact, he immediately looked away.

“Hi” you smiled and hugged him softly, kissing one of his cheeks. He smiled at you and placed his hand on your waist careful not to put it too low. It felt more like a fancy first date than two friends carpooling to a charity event where your boyfriend was waiting for you and the thought made your stomach turn. There was something about Fermin that you couldn’t understand, he was never inappropriate or weird with you but you couldn’t help but feel something and that something scared the living shit out of you.

“You look amazing, told you this was the best dress.” he shyly said and your cheeks turned red with his compliment, you knew he preferred this dress but it was also your favorite. You didn’t wear it for him.

“So do you.” you replied and it was his turn to have reddened cheeks. He looked down at his shoes and didn’t look back up until you spoke again.

“Let me put on my shoes and we can go.”

You went into your shoe closet and picked out the nude heels you had in mind. They weren’t too high but still elevated your look. You dropped them in front of your door and tried getting in them but struggled because of your dress hugging your body tightly, Fermin soon noticed your uncomfortable state.

“Here, let me help you” he didn’t even let you reply and kneeled down in front of you to help you step into your shoes and buckle them, he did one foot and lightly tapped your calf for you to hold the other one. His one hand on behind your calf steadied you while the other helped you and you were standing so close that you could feel his breath on your exposed leg which made you shiver. You placed one hand on his shoulder and he looked up at you, his eyes were filled with yet another emotion but this time you knew it wasn’t something like sadness or anger, it was pure lust and you hated that you also had the same look on your face.

He slowly rose to his feet but you didn’t let go of his shoulder, you felt glued to him at that moment. Fermin must have felt the same because he stood so close to you that your noses nearly touched and he made no effort to pull back, you knew better you really did, you should’ve taken a step back thank him for helping you and go to the event but Fermin had other plans.

He suddenly closed the gap between you two and pressed his lips onto yours in a hasty manner like he had to do it, he did it so urgently as if he needed you and you couldn’t help but move your lips with his placing your hand on the back of his neck. Your judgement was too clouded to stop as he walked you back into your living room without breaking the kiss, he only stopped when your back hit the wall and a soft moan escaped your lips.

“Fermin” you mewled as he was moving his hands all around your body and on your exposed leg.

He pulled back slightly, your foreheads still touching and both of you panting. His eyes opened for the first time since he kissed you and looked straight into your soul.

“Fermin” you whispered this time not even sure if you were asking him to stop or carry on.

“Y/N, I want this. I want this so fucking much but if you don’t, I can get out of here now and we can pretend this never happened. I’ll never bother you again.” he softly said and you were surprised at how calm he was talking contrary to how passionate he was being mere seconds ago.

You closed your eyes to try to slow your heartbeat down, your whole body was shaking a little. You tried to think but all you could think about was his lips and hands on you.

You stood there for a moment before leaning in again and he happily accepted your advances telling you to jump and you obliged not caring about anything else in the world other than Fermin. He was making you feel that alive.

“God, you’re perfect” he said while carrying you to your room and kissing every inch of skin he could find.

“Just make me feel good” you begged him and he nodded eagerly. He was going to do just that.

Fermin woke up to his phone buzzing constantly. The first time he tried to ignore it and not let it get to him but it started ringing again soon. He huffed with annoyance and reached for his bedside table. The number looked ordinary, he didn’t have it saved and he wasn’t planning on answering a crazy fan’s call at 2 in the morning. He let the buzzing stop and left the phone back trying to go back to sleep but something in him worried, with a loud sigh he reached over again typing the number on his search engine finding it belonged to a local hospital in Barcelona. His heart started racing, his initial thought was Pablo but he was okay at the match today so why was a hospital calling him at this hour?

He tried calling the number back but it went straight to a prerecorded message, Fermin was stressed until the phone connected to the reception.

“Hello, this is Alana from Hospital Clinic. How can I help you?” she asked

“Hey, um, I was just called from this number twice. Can I know the reason?” he said fidgeting with his hand trying to understand if it was just a misunderstanding.

“Can I have your name?”

“Fermin Lopez.” Fermin hesitatingly said, he was recently getting recognition from football fans and was also kind of overwhelmed with it.

“Oh yes, I found it Mr Lopez. It looks like your girlfriend Ms Y/N was in an accident, we tried reaching her family members first, they said they’d come as soon as possible but since they’re out of Barcelona it could take a while and you’re just below them on the emergency call list.”

Fermin listened but after he heard about you in an accident he lost focus, everything the woman said going unnoticed by him. If he thought about it, you weren’t his girlfriend anymore, he said he needed a break but hadn’t tried to reach you ever again. It’s been 2 months with no contact other than the night you called him drunk and cursed him for how easy he let you go and he took your scolding, he knew he deserved it and he also wanted you to be safe so he stayed on the phone with you until you went inside your apartment saying he’d call you to have a proper conversation. He didn’t.

He chickened out, he knew you were head over heels for him, that you’d do anything for him but he was just debuting in first team and his career just took off and everyone kept reminding him that he’s too young for this. He should just focus on his football and girls shouldn’t be a priority. He couldn’t do anything he wanted if he’s tied down at 21 and he let those intrusive thoughts get in his head and became irritated with your presence in his life.

He hated himself for it but couldn’t help himself and picked fights constantly tiring both of you. He’d became cold and distant, forgetting important dates and choosing to go out. Even then you tried to keep the relationship going but everyone has their limits and he crossed yours when he forgot your presentation for your finals. It was the most important thing in your whole academic life and he promised to be there but forgot, prompting your biggest fight ever. That’s when he proposed taking a break until he figured himself out, as he hated the state he put your relationship through. You didn’t even fight him on it, just accepted and went upstairs to gather your belongings. He stood still on his place on the sofa not trusting his legs to work if he’d stand up. You came out the room soon and said goodbye to him, kissing his lips one last time and left your keys on the dresser shutting the door behind you. Fermin still remembered that feeling he felt once he realized you really left, he thought it’d be relief as this is what he wanted all along but it wasn’t. It was pure pain.

“Mr Lopez?” the woman at the end of the line repeated as Fermin was too lost to speak.

“Is she okay?” he asked with a trembling voice. He couldn’t believe something this bad can happen to an angel like you.

“Unfortunately I can’t discuss her state on the phone but she’ll be okay, our best doctors are taking care of her.”

Fermin was already up trying to find any pieces of clothing to throw on as he was just in his boxers. He checked the location on his phone and thanked the receptionist quickly ending the call. He didn’t even realize how much he was shaking until he sat behind the wheel. He had tears on his face and in his eyes occasionally blurring his vision for a second until he finally made it to the hospital. He was shocked that he could drive without getting in an accident himself. He couldn’t lose her, there was no way he could lose her. Even though he knew he didn’t deserve you in the slightest, he loved you with his whole heart. You were his first real girlfriend, his first love, even after all the stupid things he did to push you away he knew you’re his person and he’d do anything for you.

He quickly ran to the reception who asked him for ID and sent him to your floor.

“Room 203” he whispered to himself as the elevator doors opened and he rushed over. A nurse was just coming out of your room with charts in her hand and he stopped her frantically.

“Is she okay? Is Y/N okay?”

The nurse was startled but she was used to seeing people going crazy for their loved ones.

“Yes, don’t worry she just has some minor bruises on her face and body and a sprained ankle. She’ll be here tonight but tomorrow after the doctor clears her she’ll be good to go.” the nurse smiled but Fermin couldn’t bring himself to return the kindness. All he could do was feel relieved, she was okay.

“Can I go in?” he asked

“Um, she should really get some rest. It’s been traumatizing for her.”

“Look I need to see her, I need to make sure she’s okay.” he pleaded and the nurse finally gave in opening the door to let Fermin in.

“Fine but not for too long, she needs some sleep.”

Fermin nodded and took a deep breath, it just dawned on him that this was the first time he’d be seeing you in two months and he was so distraught to even think if she’d want him there or not. Maybe she hated him.

Fermin even thought about turning back and just waiting in the hall but he really needed to see with his own eyes that you were good so he pushed the door further, wishing he had peonies to bring you. They were always your favorite.

“Fermin?” you asked clearly shocked seeing him walk in. Your face had some red and purple marks and your foot was in a big black boot elevated. You looked so beaten and tired but Fermin could swear you’ve never looked so good. He couldn’t take his eyes off of you, even when you were apart he tried not looking you up. He didn’t want to go down that rabbit hole and he knew if he started he couldn’t stop until he was begging on his knees at your doorstep.

“Mi vida.” he hesitantly said as he stood by the door afraid to come closer even though everything in him wanted to hug you and kiss you.

“What are you doing here?” you asked. If this was under any other circumstances you’d be pissed at him but you were feeling so ran down that you were just relieved to see him. You were in Barcelona for uni and your parents were back in Sevilla, you only had friends here. Well, and Fermin but not anymore.

“The hospital called.” he said and as scared as he was, he walked over to your bed and sat down on the chair next to it. You could see him lift his hand and then retract it until he just went for it and held your free hand. The other one had a tube in it.

As soon as your hands touched you felt your eyes tearing, you were too weak to hold them in.

“No no no please don’t cry. You’re okay, I’m here please don’t cry cariño.” he tried reassuring you.

“I hate you.” you murmured but leaned in his touch, it was like your mind and body were fighting each other but no matter how angry you were at him you were happy to see him.

You knew he loved you and that’s the reason your break was so painful, you knew this was just a phase but he wouldn’t let you help. He just pushed and pushed you until you were out of his life.

“I know. I know and I’m so sorry but I’m here now and I’m never leaving again. Y/N I know I can never undo what I did but I’m willing to try everything. I can give you as much space and time as you need, I just want to be with you and I can’t stand being far anymore. I’ll take care of you and I’ll do anything for you.” he ranted with tears in his eyes and kissed every single one of your knuckles.

You wanted to act tough, you wanted to make him pay for not giving you enough attention, making you feel insignificant but in this state there wasn’t much you could do other than relying on his words. You never wanted to be apart anyway and he said he was willing to do the work this time so you believed him. Maybe it was naive of you to do, but you did. You loved him.

That night Fermin never left your side, he held your hand until you fell asleep and when you woke up he was still there watching you with dried tears on his face. His hair disheveled, eyes bloodshot and bags under them but he never looked more handsome to you.

“You need to sleep, don’t you have practice in the morning?” you asked as you slowly came to your senses.

“No, what I need is for you to be okay. Everything else can wait.” he said while placing a kiss on your temple and you smiled at him, it had been a long time since you felt that at peace and it was ironic as you were at a hospital bed.

“I also talked to your sister, they’re going to be here today. It’s the earliest flight they could find.”

You smiled up at him, you were feeling a lot better with little pain left and couldn’t wait to be out of this room.

“Did the doctor say when can I go home?” you asked excited to see your family again.

“Yes, he was in here earlier and said as soon as you woke up he’d come and check. Then we’re free to go.”

Just as he finished talking the doctor walked in and asked you some questions about your injuries and looked at his charts.

“Well, I think you’re ready to be discharged Y/N” he smiled and Fermin helped you get up. You still had to use crutches for a while but other than that you were feeling fine.

Even though you tried to argue, Fermin found a wheelchair and brought it to you just for you to get out of the hospital. He was being over affectionate and helpful and you couldn’t help but feel blessed. You knew you had to have a long talk about what happened but right now you were happy to have him back.

“Wait, don’t you dare get up!” he said as you reached his car. You were about to ask him what until you felt his hands under your knees and on your back carrying you bridal style to his car. You missed him lifting you like a feather, you felt so good when he flexed his muscles like that.

You blushed a little when he placed you down and reached for your seatbelt even though you were perfectly capable of doing it yourself, as he buckled you in you couldn’t fight the urge to lean in and kiss him. He was shocked for a second and you thought maybe you misread the situation but soon his hands found your cheeks delicately holding you while deepening the kiss. You knew this was a hospital and you needed to be respectful but his lips on yours made your world stop, it was just you two. He backed off with a smile on his lips. You pouted a little but that changed when he pressed kisses all around your face and your new bruises. You felt safe and sound.

“Where are you going?” you asked when he started the car. “You don’t even know where I live.”

He turned to you looking a little unsure about what he was about to say.

“I was hoping I could bring you home. Like, our home.”

You thought about it for a second.

“I know I said I’d respect your boundaries and wait and I will I promise but I can’t let you be out of my sight ever again Y/N and I’ll do anything to make you feel at ease, I can sleep in the guest room as long as you want me to. Also, your parents have already been there. That’s our home and I’d do anything to prove it.”

You weighed your options, you could go to your 1 bed hundred year old apartment and be miserable with your parents and sister coming in and be far away from Fermin or you could do what your heart wants to and accept his offer and go back to the only place you’d consider home. With him.

“Vale, take me home Fermin.” you smiled and he smiled even more holding your hand and pulling it over to him kissing every bit of it.

“Thank you, thank you for not giving up on me.” he said.

“Thank you for being there for me when I needed you.”

"who's going?" y/n asked Pedri

"ferran gavi and fermin. coming?" Pedri asked again.

When she heard Ferran's name, she decided to go out for breakfast with them. She hasn't seen him in a few days and misses him.

"yeah I'll go. let me just grab my jacket" she got her jacket from her room and followed Pedri to his car.

The drive was silent, and for some reason y/n felt that Pedri is still sensing something, after she found out he overheard her phone call with Ferran. When he asked her who it was she just said 'no one' which he obviously didn't believe but he didn't ask further.

"is everything okay?" she asked, feeling like he had something to say

"are you like seeing someone right now? why won't you tell me who it is?" Pedri asked, glancing at her for a moment.

y/n let out a sigh. She was sensing that it's about time he's gonna know, it was close and she was fearing that moment.

"you don't know him" she replied, trying to avoid the conversation with him

"then why won't you introduce me to him?" he asked again

y/n huffed and rolled her eyes, crossing her arms over her chest. He was annoying her with all these questions and she's not much of a good liar so she doesn't really know how to answer most of the times.

"it's too early" she murmured, looking outside the window.

"then when is it not early?" he asked again

"god Pedri just shut up and stop asking so many questions already" she snapped.

Pedri rolled his eyes and scoffed. Luckily they arrived to the cafe they were supposed to meet the other guys at.

He parked the car before they both walked inside. Ferran was the only one there, sat on his phone.

y/n smiled when they approached the table he was sat at. When he saw them, he smiled. His eyes lingering on y/n all the time.

Pedri noticed it. He did. But he didn't think much of it. Because they're friends. And his twin sister wouldn't lie to him right?

Ferran hugged the twins, his arms tightening more around y/n before she pulled away so it doesn't look too suspicious.

Pedri sat down, while y/n sat beside Ferran so that Gavi can sit next to Pedri when he arrived.

They were having a normal conversation, y/n just listening to them while they talked, admiring Ferran's features which she seemed to like even more each day, without feeling too weird about it.

Gavi and Fermin arrived soon after that. They all ordered their food and waited.

Fermin, Gavi and Pedri seemed to be having a conversation on their own, leaving Ferran and y/n to talk alone.

"how have you been precosia? i haven't seen you for a while" he said in a low voice, although the other guys were loud and definitely wouldn't hear them.

"I'm fine. Just Pedri is annoying me by asking so many questions" she complained

Ferran chuckled, grabbing her hand from under the table, intertwining their fingers together. She looked down at their hands, smiling at his small way of showing affection.

"y/n? did you even hear me?" Pedri said annoyed.

y/n looked away quickly, humming as if she was listening

"what were you saying?" she asked, Pedri rolling his eyes as a response.

"nothing" he mumbled, this time y/n rolling her eyes at him.

The other guys sensed the tension between the twins, so Fermin tried to make a small talk.

"so y/n...what position do you play?" he asked.

Ferran looked closely at Fermin, noticing the little look in his eyes while looking at y/n. He squeezed y/n's hand in his before she spoke up.

"my main position is a left winger. But I also play as a striker and sometimes on the right" she replied, while Fermin nodded with a smile.

"oh so like Ferran?" he said. y/n nodded with a smile, looking at Ferran for a split second before looking away.

Their food soon arrived, and they ate in silence. Gavi being the clumsy boy he is dropped his fork on the floor. He bent down to get it, but something caught his eye. He saw the hands of Ferran and y/n tangled in each other.

He raised his eyebrows, sitting up with a confused look on his face. He looked at y/n and Ferran, who didn't seem to notice him looking at them.

"is everything okay?" Pedri asked. Gavi snapped his eyes away from the couple, nodding his head.

y/n noticed the look on Gavi's face, quickly dropping her hand from Ferran's. Her heartbeat rate increased instantly, hoping Pablo won't snitch.

"darling?" Ferran whispered in her ear. She looked at him, the look of worry on her face.

The other guys went back to their talk, while Gavi still glanced every second at them

"Gavi saw us" she mumbled, when the guys weren't noticing.

"what do you mean?" he asked

"he saw our hands Ferran. now he's gonna snitch and tell Pedri. we're screwed" she whispered, in a slightly panicking tone

Ferran placed his hand on her thigh, telling her to calm down and that he'll talk to Gavi about it.

She relaxed a bit under his touch but still thought of what might happen if Pedri found out from Pablo.

"Gavi can i have a word with you?" Ferran asked, before the player walked out of the lockers

Pablo knew Ferran was gonna ask him about what he saw the other day.

"um...Xavi said he wants us out right now so..." he trailed off, trying to avoid the conversation with him

Ferran rolled his eyes and walked to Gavi.

"about what you saw the other day, you better not tell Pedri mate. you don't wanna know what happens if you do" Ferran warned him, Gavi swallowed the lump in his throat, nodding nervously before both of them left to their training session.

"are you sure he won't tell him? Ferran I'm really scared" y/n said, pacing around her room.

"baby you have nothing to worry about. He won't snitch I promise" Ferran grabbed her hands, pulling her to his lap

He looked at her with an assuring look, rubbing her thigh with his hand. She looked at him for a while, seeing his confidence that Gavi won't tell. She relaxed a bit, dropping her head on his shoulder.

"god why did he have to see us" she murmured into his shoulder, making him chuckle.

"he's a clumsy and nosy boy. At least it was him and not Pedri" Ferran said, making y/n nod.

"I just hope that Pedri finds out from us and not someone else. I want us to tell him instead of finding out in a bad way" she said, making Ferran hum.

"don't worry my love. It's gonna be fine" he mumbled, pressing a kiss on the top of her head.
