weirdly good at cards, lyney onced challenged her to a simple game of cards when he heard her boasting about being the best in fontaine at cards, needless to say lyney never asked charlotte to play cards again.

THIS TAKES PLACE BEFORE THE FONTAINE ARCHON QUEST STARTS.

Lyney was always the one to captivate those with his skills as a magician. With the wave of his fingers, he can easily make cards disappear. He charms and captivates with his tricks, never once he failed to do so.

Until now. You caught his attention easily among the audience. To him, he found you lulling, so attractive with those eyes of yours. He couldn't tear his eyes away from you, only then, Lynette would have to snap him out of his daydreams.

Of course, he quickly continued the show. Lyney thought of meeting you. Was this first love at first sight? He shouldn't be thinking of this at such a time at all, but he can't help it. You're just so . . . divine . . .

When meeting you, he wouldn't think much of his sudden attraction to you. He'd never figured you would be so cold, but he doesn't mind a little challenge after all.

He doesn't mind how cold you truly can be, he's determined to get at least a speckle of warmth from you, a smile maybe? You're always having that frown on your face, it looks like it's permanent or something . . . Lyney would find ways to impress you, to try gain your attention on him.

No matter how cold you get, he never seems like he would give up. Lyney would always rehearse secretly, to try doing much more complex tricks to impress you. At times, he would occasionally even rehearse in front of you, and being Lyney . . . It wouldn't be surprising if he flirted a little during his tricks, well, in his own noble way. He's a gentleman after all.

You sighed in annoyance that he's performing for you again, but that annoyance soon turned into a state of dismay once he pulls out a single rose out of thin air. For a moment, Lyney thought he saw your cheeks reden, did he accomplish his goal? He's confident so. It warms him, seeing you accepting the rose at last.

For quite some time, you both have bonded . . . a bit. Friends is what people may say, but what would you say if you heard the great magician has feelings for you?

Lyney. A total gentleman he is, he would kiss your knuckles as if you were royalty, and gift you roses out of no where. Little by little, he's able to enter and warm your frozen heart.

DATING THE MAGICIAN

Dating Lyney means you'll meet Lynette and Ferminet. Who knew that someone as cold as you would accept the warm and cheerful magician?

With warm arms, Lyney would always surprise you after his shows, like always, gifting you roses, just like the days when you both were friends. He'd never fail to warm you with his kisses, pressing his lips against your knuckles, treating you with utter respect like the gentleman he is.

Being with Lyney, means that he'll occasionally be mischievous and playful, signifying that he would do a bit of fun in the relationship. Its annoying sometimes, but you appreciate him. There wouldn't be any way you would trade him for anyone else.

Early mornings, he would brush your hair while you were still drowsy from your sleep and once he was done, he would tease and pepper your face in his kisses. It warms him, waking up every day with you, and being with you. It brings him utter joy. You bring him utter joy.

FREMINET HC 001. this got a little long so bare with me,

so. with implied confirmation through the thelxie's fantastic adventures event, ( my ) freminet suffers from ' loneliness syndrome ' which is effectively genshin impact's equivalent to real world depression / major depressive disorder ( mad ). as freminet explains, he's seen children within the house of the hearth under the previous director suffer from it and even die:

he even explains how the risk factors of getting the syndrome manifest which can range from heredity to environmental factors. in freminet's case, his stem from his lived experience prior to being placed with the ' care ' of the previous hearth's director and then his experiences within the orphanage before the new Arlecchino took over. as he explains that those with the syndrome dive head first into fantasy worlds and proceeds to talk about pers and ' penguin town ' in such a fashion where it is heaps fantasy esque . .

freminet: well, i often think that pers only came to me because he realized how much i needed him . . so it's not so much that i made pers as pers chose me as his friend

freminet: ... i even had my own fairytale world much like that boy's. i was able to draw a lot of support from it.

and then expresses his comfort in that world that has been created ( in his mind / imagination ) as well as putting on his helmet if he feels insecure in a certain situation - which is also confirmed in one of his character stories & voice lines. ferminet needed a friend, which is why he created pers / accepted his friendship, and humanizes / cares about his lil buddy so much. ferminet needed coping mechanisms, hence his focus on pers and the lil fantasy world of penguin town that he has concocted and the reason he dives so much. in saying all this, even if he denies it a little bit, ferminet does have loneliness syndrome and has his own coping mechanisms to try and regulate it. even if he does kinda falter here and there. one of the massive strides that likely kept him from also falling into the dark like the other children he saw die from the syndrome was lyney and lynette. as well as the change of hands / directors within the house of the hearth. he's honestly alive because of that, especially after all the physical, emotional and mental trauma he endured during that period.
