I'm bored, so here's my top ten games of 2022. Some of these aren't from this year. Sue me.

10. DRAINUS - Ha ha, yes, the title is very funny. Absolutely gorgeous scrolling shooter, a little bit like if Gradius didn't hate you. Go play it. If you're not into the genre, it's pretty much the perfect entry point - I'm merely below average at the genre and at this point I can sleepwalk through the game deathless.

9. Guilty Gear Strive - It's Guilty Gear Strive! What do you want from me? It has Sol Badguy! And Testament! And Jack-O! You know, from the Jack-O pose? And Bridget! It's got What Are You Fighting For and Armor-Clad Faith and Disaster Of Passion and Play The Hero and Perfection Can't Please Me and Love The Sub-Human Self and The Town Inside Me and like! It's Guilty Gear Strive! My favorite fighting game and technically also my favorite album of the year.

8. Resident Evil 4 VR - RE4 is SO LONG. You do not understand this until you are enduring back pain from playing it for the sixth day in a row. And the castle sewers? Terrifying. Regenerators? Actually pretty chill in VR because your aim, as a regular untrained human being, is approximately 3000% better than vanilla RE4 Leon's.

7. Triangle Strategy - How do you feel about POLITICS? Do you want to learn about the tensions introduced by nigh-monopolized trade of salt and iron between three nations? Do you also want distinctive and interesting units that Final Fantasy Tactics would kill for? Are you good with nearly forty-five minutes of dialogue between battles? You should play this game.

6. CRUELTY SQUAD - I have never played a game infused with more of the developer's vitriolic anger at the status quo in my entire life. Truly wretched punk art, not for the faint of heart or narrow of aesthetic sensibilities. A user interface that hates you. You can get a Death surgery that replaces your Life bar with a Death bar. An absolute must-play.

5. TUNIC - A game so good that playing it forces you to re-evaluate every Zelda game like "yeah, but is it as good as TUNIC?" Includes the single most extensive and satisfying puzzle I've ever solved in a video game.

4. Get In The Car, Loser! - The best JRPG you haven't heard of. Extremely good combat inspired by FFXIII and Valkyrie Profile. Incredible writing. Sentences burned into my soul permanently. Deeply queer, righteously angry, and maybe the game on this list that means the most to me on a personal level.

3. Vampire Survivors - The ultimate video game. Looks like trash. You'd never buy it unless someone told you ahead of time that, no really, we all did put 50+ hours into THAT, and we're not joking.

2. Signalis - Master class in style, story telling, and classic survival horror gameplay. Had to play it twice to figure out the sequence of events. You jump down several holes. Best game in its genre since Silent Hill 2

1. Elden Ring - What did you expect? I've played it for 300 hours across something like eight different builds. I beat it in 107 hours, in 6 hours, in 70 hours, in 32 hours. One time I spent ten hours grinding for an extremely rare variant drop of a partciular piece of chest armor because I wanted my INT build to cosplay as the femme version of Link from the Japanese 1987 strategy guide for Zelda 1. It's maybe the best video game ever made, and if you thought number 1 was going to be anything else, you slept through 2022.

It was such a dream to wear this cosplay. Bought second-hand from another cosplayer, I’m completely honored to continue displaying her craftsmanship and dedication to my favorite video game character of all time. Armor is just not my medium but this is my favorite version of her, making the purchase a stroke of destiny.

Praying for better days. Too bad white materia isn't really a thing. It'd be a whole lot easier to summon Holy and just balance things out. What do you think will happen in the next parts of FF7r? 𝟏𝟎 .    INSPIRATION : From what I recalled, back in 2011 I was beginning to move on from a fandom. And kind of wanted to explore something else. I normally try to watch a series or game. And was like “ oh right I have FFXIII that I still need to play.” So I did and then there. My love for Lightning was born. My very first FF I’ve actually played and not watched a friend from the side. You know what they say about the first has meaning. Well this one certainly did. It was actually a debate if I should or not, because I did not feel the confidence there. Even with the lack of confidence I made an account in the RP platform I was in that time. It was a very slow start. I actually did not start activity until five months later. So things began sparking up and I dedicated time to learn more about Lightning and re-watch cut scenes so I can grasp her character. I’m still determined to learn and improve. I’ve put so much into her. I already got two AUs damn it. Sorry for the long answer. shdkjshskdsa

𝟏𝟏 .    STORY   BEHIND   URL : This rooted when XIII-2 was coming around. Learning of her role of being Etro’s guardian. And I swear I never thought how beautiful she looks until seeing more XIII-2 stuff. I feel this is where my love for her became beyond infinite. I loved her already in XIII. And XIII-2 boost my love for her. Then with LR, it went beyond.

The Final Fantasy series means quite a lot to me, it was an important piece of my teenage years that shaped large pieces of who I am today.

FFX-2 was my first Final Fantasy game and 12 year old me was in love with it. My uncle showed me how to play it on his PS2 and would let me play when he went to work in the evenings. I loved Yuna so much, I didn’t understand the context of Spira much till I played X but the spirit of the normal ending stuck with me.

After seeing my interest, my Uncle encouraged me to play several other Final Fantasy games he had. The most obvious was X but also VII and VIII. It got me into playing Jrpgs and video games in general. As I got my own PS2 and TV when I turned 13, I expanded into the worlds of Star Ocean, Xenosaga, and Kingdom Hearts. I was a lonely child, video games became an outlet for me to channel my loneliness. I fell into the fandom hole that was FF7, I joined several forums and I discovered cosplay and anime conventions thru YouTube. When I entered High School, I made a core group of friends partly because of final fantasy. (Despite they’ve never let me live down the Sephiroth nickname, I am thankful I had them.)

On a mildy hilarious side note, the same uncle would go on to gift me FFXIII for my 19th birthday but upon the drunken realization that I didn’t have a PS3 draped me to a games to PTO rectify then situation. My parents were less then pleased with my uncle for buying it and at me for accepting the gift.

‪Throwback to my Caius Ballad ( Final Fantasy XIII-2) Cosplay (2013), done in 2 months of hard work 100% by my own hands, heart and determination! :)‬ ‪I bet many of you following me recently never saw my armors and previous works! Sharing it again, just in case!❤️‬ ‪Enjoy! :)‬ Side Note : Ragnarok ( the sword ) it’s fully made in WOOD (5 layers), I took around 35 days to make and the thing that makes it special is the fact it has also a LED system that works in symbiosis with the LED I have in my heart. So once my “ heart” LED beat in my chest, Ragnarok does the same in synchro! :) I felt of sharing it because I have a lot of experience on making my own costumes and I really do miss making a full armor set! But if I have to choose between making a cosplay and travelling for 2 months as guest in a different con every weekend just to meet you, well... 1: oh fuck umm well I've always wanted to try pumpkin pie and I hope I get to one day, so I would def make one :) I have no skills so lol

2: five movies okay: the old guard, road to eldorado, brave, brother bear and...spiderman into the spiderverse :) I don't rank films but these are ones I've seen more than once, (except spiderverse) which I never do so they mean something to me

3: I have cosplayed a couple of times years ago but I don't anymore, I've done elizabeth from bioshock, Sasha from attack on titan, yoruichi from bleach, lightning (from the lightning returns epilogue) in ffxiii and haku from vocaloids :)
