ffxiv more job quests

there's no other writing like the ast writing in the game, it's snappy and witty.

pretty good. I still liked the 30-50 and 50-60 ones better best quests in the game really followed by dark 50-60, these ast 60-70 i think are more like 5th place.

oh hey moral quandary time. the truth would only hurt the delicate political situation. If the tome is surrendered 1. it gets shoved into an archive or destroyed for being politically inconvenient. 2. it gets used to exploit ala mhigo who is already in a weakened position. 3. as with nourval diplomacy breaks down entirely. So that's from the perspective of looking to the future, but looking to the past justice was never received for Vainchelon, if ala mhigo intends to revive itself that include the weight of its past crimes. My suggestion would be holding off on revealing it for a could years but then using the reveal as a moment of pagenty to strengthen gridanian and ala mhigan ties as a way to demonstrate that ala mhigo has changed and seeks friendship not murder.

mch: muscadain is being oddly cooperative given how antagonistic he was at the beginning, what happened to him?

I rather like that in the end it was sari's past ideals that defeated his future cynicism. just conceptually summoner is among my favorites for the stormblood job quests, its up there along side monk dark knight and astrologian. younger sari's way of doing things was represented by prin in fostering new summoners to take on primals when they were ready while older sari would kill the strongest summoner to feed his machine since he didn't trust any person to do it.

The FFXIV script is updated through the end of 5.0!

So far I've got the entirety of MSQ up to the start of the Shadowbringers patch quests, the Crystal Tower raids, the archer and bard quests, seasonal events from the past few months, and the first few snippets of optional dialogue (I'm trying to focus on catching up first, but I couldn't not include Emet-Selch's occasional optional lore drops).

I'm also still tinkering with little layout and feature things as I go — I just added sticky headers so you can tell where you are in the middle of the script. :D

First Meeting

I made this comic for wolmeric week on bluesky and I want to thank @ishgard for giving me the encouragement to post it here :')

This comic would be set three months following the Calamity, as Zanel attempts to go outside Ishgard with no success. She's considered a civilian, and wouldn't be granted access. Zanel would find this insulting as giving her status before the Calamity. (She would have been involved in the events of 1.0, such as defeating Ifrit/Garuda with other adventurers. Storming Castrum Novum, being party of the party that killed the White Raven, and fighting at Cartenau)

By happenstance, Aymeric is walking by when he sees a young woman about to pick a fight with a temple knight in broad daylight. Aymeric would keep up with news and rumors, and the arrival of Zanel's family into the Holy See would be something he heard about.

Zanel fully takes advantage of the fact Aymeric offering her to take her outside. Aymeric thought he was being kind to some bored noble, unaware he would be pestered from this day forward as he was the only fool who took her outside the gates.

The mirth is back in her eyes, confidence in her words though her cheeks are still delightfully flushed. Well, there might be another reason for that.

“You hardly seemed to need an engraved invitation, now did you.”

“Mayhap I should ask for one the next time.”

He laughs, and rolls her on top of him, kissing her soundly. “No need. It’s a delight to see you, Meryta. What brought you out here this time?”

“A fight – it was a good one, though I���d hoped it hadn’t been needed. It’s a long story of auspices and legends.”

“Are you staying?”

She shakes her head. “I can’t. Sorry, I don’t have much time.”

“A story for later, then.”

He kisses her again, silencing any more apologies. He likes when she stays, and he hopes one time more than happenstance will bring her by, but for now he’s content she takes what time she has to make her way here. Taking time for them to delight in each other’s bodies.

“You’re late,” Rasho says, later, when Tansui makes his way up to him.

“Sorry –” he grins, because he’s not actually sorry, “Meryta stopped by.”

Rasho’s eyes glance at his chest. “I see.”

Tansui considers drawing his haori closer around him, but he has nothing to hide from Rasho. From anyone, really. He grins wider, proudly letting the garment fall more open. She marked him alright, and he has no objections.

“Had fun, then?” Rasho asks.

“Indeed.”

His friend looks at him, taking in his confident words and stance. “Be careful, Tansui.”

“It’s just a bit of fun,” Tansui says. He’s enjoying what they have, wild and free. That’s all there is. And he’s getting tired of Rasho’s worries.

Rasho narrows his eyes, but ignores Tansui’s biting tone. He hums and pulls out his abacus.

“Let’s go over the profits, then” he says, “before you get distracted again.”

red mage: so basically arya should be a thaumaturge or black mage. she's really really good at the destructive magic and terrible at the restorative magics. why find equilibrium when you can min max and be a nuke.

given x'rhun's history in the ala mhigo im disappointed the 60-70 storyline isn't going there, ah well time to see what idyllshire has in store.

I was just thinking at the end of the level 60 quest if X'ruhn is in his 40s then lambert probably is too and arya looks to be a teenager, wouldn't it be be messed up is she was his daughter or something. the only reason i didn't quite believe it is because lambert said he's been in a magical coma for many years.

i think its pretty interesting that despite its reputation it is not black magic that is the successor to void magic, it is red magic. and this is despite both black and void magic originating from mhach.

irony that the swashbuckling aesthetic class ends up being the demon summoning dark magic storyline.

huh you can tell who is a padjal at birth. i remember reading in encyclopaedia eorzea or something that children only find out they're a padjal when the horn start growing in at like 10-15.

uh sylphie aren't you like 14. letting at 14 year old run the show and keep secrets from the conjurers guild while void sent are running around sounds like a recipe for disaster.

why not relocate both gatty and sanche to gridania. sanche would get better medical treatment, gatty would remain with her mother, there would be more conjurers on hand to deal with voidsent incidents, and there would be padjal on hand to tutor gatty.

the writers did this to keep sylphie's importance to the plot but this is a massive plot hole that e-sumi is having sylphie be gatty's teacher. first because as e-sumi himself said sylphie is still learning as an acolyte herself, she might have powerful instinctual magic but her learned knowledge isn't that good. second she wouldn't know white magic or padjal specific stuff. this is such a bad decision. also sylphie is still a kid has shown to be overwhelmed by the scale of this problem and having to take care of and be responsible for another kid. i guess the excuse is that it's technically the wol who's suppose to be doing the teaching but we all know that the player isn't going to be doing anything.

Another experience at Distant Worlds~

This is me and @lastaim 4th time and it’s always an amazing experience. Each time there’s always something different!

Amanda Achen, singer of shadowbringers and endwalker theme song graced us with her voice. They orchestrated Dancing Mad which was AMAZING! Seeing Soken and Koji again was also amazing! Too much to say. All I can say is if you are a final fantasy fan, you should definitely go!
