After a few weeks of planning, Eddie wanted to take you on a very special date

You knew he wasn’t exactly the biggest fan of camping, but every once in a while he would load up a few blankets and pillows and snacks into his van and drive off to a beautiful hill and spend the night there

And it was finally your turn to go up with him

He had grabbed your favorite snacks, his stereo, blankets, pillows, and had a wonderful night planned with you

He picked you up and told you that he was taking you camping, he told you he had the most beautiful spot picked out, but he wanted it to be a surprise

But you trusted him

He always had the best spots for date nights

As he pulled up the side of a hill, he told you to close your eyes until you were at the very top

You rolled your eyes and reluctantly agreed, trying to figure out exactly where you were by the feeling of all the turns and bumps you felt as Eddie drove

As soon as you reached the top he gave you the ok to finally open your eyes and you couldn’t believe what you were seeing

As the sun was going down you could see all of Hawkins beneath you

The cars moving on the streets, children still playing outside before the streetlights came on, the lights of all the different stores and shops still illuminating the scene below

It was beautiful

It was breathtaking

It was exactly the type of place Eddie would take you

Eddie let you admire the view for a few moments as he got everything set up in the back of the van, fixing up the pillows and blankets into a little makeshift bed

He didn’t want you to sleep against the cold hard floor all night

As soon as he finished setting everything up he called you to the back and you were surprised you didn’t see any hint of the little set up he made for you both from the passenger seat

A few sting lights hung up, the back doors open so you both could see the beautiful view, his stereo and a little collection of tapes next to it, and right in the center was all of your favorite snacks and drinks to share while you enjoyed each other’s company

As you ate your snacks and talked the night away, you barely noticed the sun set behind you both

It was a nice quiet night, a few rustling leaves from the wind and chirps of crickets were the only sounds you could hear

With the cold air starting to give you both chills, you agreed it was probably time to get things ready for the night

You packed up your snacks and shut the back doors of the van, changing into your jammie’s and getting the bed all ready to snuggle in

(And of course Eddie took fhis opportunity to sneak a few kisses onto your tummy while your shirt was over your head)

You were laid all snuggled up in the van, the string lights still gently illuminating the inside as you talked and listened to another one of Eddies cassettes when you started to hear a weird noise from outside

It sounded a lot like scratching

And you’ve seen too many movies to know that scratching on the outside of a van with two horny teens inside all alone was never a good thing

You gripped onto Eddie’s arm and insisted that you had to leave but all he could do was smile

He said that there was no reason to be scared, he knew exactly where the scratches were coming from

He told you to take a peek out the back window of the van and then you saw where the scratches were coming from

A few little raccoons were gently scratching at the back door, two big ones and it looked like three littles were a few feet back

Your eyes were wide and your smile was big and though you were a little frightened of the animals they were so cute up close

Eddie told you that he’s come up to this spot a few times before and he wanted to show you the little raccoon family he feeds when he comes up

He asked you to be careful as he grabbed one of your opened bags of chips and got himself ready to open the back door of the van

Eddie gently opened the back door, careful not to startle the little raccoons as he carefully reached the open bag of chips out to them

One of them reached their little hands out and grabbed the bag from him while the other lifted his nose to sniff at Eddie’s hand

You watched Eddie’s lips curl into a sweet smile as he felt their cold nose graze over the back of his hand and they slowly skittered away with the bag of chips

The curious little raccoons stayed behind a moment and Eddie gave them a little wave, the cutest smile plastered across his face as they ran off with the others

He carefully shut the back doors and closed the curtains once more

As he snuggled back into your little makeshift bed with you, he said he had been coming up to that very spot every summer for the last few years, and he remembered when he first saw the raccoons

First just one, and Eddie left out a little snack for him each weekend when he came up

Then there was two of them

And he remembered when they showed up wirh a little baby raccoon

And then another

And another

He loved getting to see them in the summer and he always had little snacks and treats for them

For someone who wasn’t much of an animal person, Eddie loved those little raccoons

And it was adorable to see how excited he got when he told you all about them

You snuggled back into bed and Eddie unplugged the string lights, holding you closely

You couldn’t wait for him to bring you up again to see his little raccoon friends

Okay Sleepover crush(?) Story time...I'm doing your hair rn btw

So basically last week a friend of mine had a bday gathering which was super fun. It was only a handful of people, some i knew before, some i didn't, but i got on well with all of them. I ended up walking there with another friend/acquaince, let's call him C, and we sat next to each other too.

Anyways, today i saw the friend who held the gathering and i was talking with her and she thanked me for coming bc it was lovely time, but she also told me apparently others at the gathering thought that C and I seemed quite close, perhaps in a way that's more than friendly. I kinda got a bit flustered about it because i do think C is quite cute, but I'm not entirely sure if I'd persue him or not?? A called him a friend/acquaintance before bc even though i enjoy his company, and i know he enjoys mine, we don't talk or meet often enough for me to know *that* much about him, so i hesitate to call him a friend, let alone someone I'd consider maybe dating. Plus I have no clue if he sees me as anything beyond a friendly face, y'know?

All in all I'm not really sure what to do, or if i SHOULD even do anything. I'll have to think about it more, but i just wanted to blurt it out somewhere. Thanks for listening <3

i was mainly talking abt one specific friend i have (er, had) who would every sentence mebtion some horrid thing that happened to hom. literally couldnt go a single concersafion w/o a lonf explanation about how whateber we were talking abt reminded hin of jail or his shitty family or whatever. and when i told hkm to stop doinf that, he totallt split on me and wailed abf how trauma is the onlt personality trair he HAS bexause his life has never been good. which.... i was actively being abused and i still didnt talk abt ir every ofher sentence. so. he admitted to trauma being a main persibality trait

as for neurosivergence, u see fhis a LOT on tiktok, peimarily w things like adhd and autism, whixh have a lot of symptoms. you make your platform on, say, adhd and now youre dependent on that platform. u HAVW to keep making adhd content so u relate every little minute thing to adhd. also ppl who identify so hard w their NDness that they headcanon every character they see w it, and that itself is fine.. UNTIL thye start basgerinf people without the headcanob. for some reason in the drr fandom this is done by autistic peoole. idk why bur cmon man. also only being friends w other neurodivergent people, except by neurodivergence they mean adhd and autism and bpd but only if its cute ans MAYBE ptsd, so when they meet ppl outside rhar box, they try to shove rjem in it by armchair diagnosinf them wirh one of The Good Ones. for example an autisrig guy meets someone wirh aspd ans tries to smash them into his worlsview that Somekne Nice CANT Have ASPD, theyre just awwtiastic!!! not ro mention this leabes ojr modeeaate ro hfofh support need autiatics
