Ambidextrous multi-award winning rapper/producer Kanye West debuts his first gospel album "Jesus Is King", barely eight months after initiating his controversial Sunday service. Jesus Is King is the ninth studio album by American rapper Kanye West, released on October 25, 2019, through GOOD Music and Def Jam Recordings. The album follows a Christian theme, with West describing it as "an expression of the gospel." West had formed his Sunday Service group in January 2019, performing gospel songs and covers of songs from his discography. Sunday Service performed the songs "Water" and "Everything We Need" live prior to release. The album features guest appearances from Clipse, Ty Dolla Sign, Kenny G, Fred Hammond, Ant Clemons, and Sunday Service. The album features production from West, Benny Blanco, E*vax, Finatik N Zac, Francis Starlite, Labrinth, Mike Dean, Pi'erre Bourne, Ronny J, Timbaland, and Warryn Campbell, among others. West began recording in August 2018, originally announcing the album as Yandhi. The album missed two initial release dates in September and November 2018 under its original title, before being delayed indefinitely. In August 2019, West's wife Kim Kardashian the album as Jesus Is it missed two planned release dates for late September 2019. The album's release was simultaneous with that of a concert film of the same name. Upon release, Jesus Is King received mixed reviews from music critics. Some praised it in comparison to West's previous solo album and noted the consistency throughout, while others were critical of the lyrical content however we counting this as one for the Kingdom. Album Description 

A$AP Twelvyy’s long awaited debut album 12 has finally arrived. A$AP Mob’s agenda for putting out music is simple, timing is everything. It may seem like Twelvyy has come out of nowhere, but he’s been around since A$AP Mob’s inception. Jamel Phillips aka A$AP Twelvyy finally makes a splash in the music industry after being overshadowed by other members like A$AP Rocky & A$AP Ferg. Even though he may be one of the lesser known members of the Mob, Twelvyy has always been a very talented rapper. This skill set shines on this album where he is arguably the best rapper on every track, even the ones with guest features.  While this album was supposed to drop in 2015, A$AP Yams death put a reasonable halt to the expected release date. When asked about his album delay Twelvyy responded “So, 2015, A$AP Yams died in the beginning of 2015. So I was like, Fuck this, honestly. I didn’t want to make music, I didn’t want to hear music. 2016 came and the Flatbush ZOMBiES invited me on tour. I had no choice but to start making music again.” This album is dominated by instrumentals that continue to bring you dope sounding dark beats that represent the A$AP sound we have come to love. 

With the success of his first album hopefully Twelvyy continues to pump out more great music. 12 was truly a unique and well crafted album. Twelvyy’s rhymes are exactly what you expect from a Harlem emcee, he reps the streets he came from with cutting flows and sharp rhyme schemes. A very conscious project that contains interludes that put real context to Twelvyy’s creative perspective on his lifestyle. Below we laid out the songs that stood out the most to us from the album, but we encourage that you take time to listen through to truly feel the message.

Melodic style beat produced by Finatik N Zac and Jim Jonsin. The single from the album, a very classic sounding A$AP track that of course has a feature from Lord Pretty Flaco himself. Seamless Hook. 

Hop Out ft. A$AP Ferg (Banger) 

Fast pace synthetic style beat produced by Maaly Raw. Fantastic duo, these two make a nice hyped track that you would expect from a Ferg feature. Hook Oriented. 

A Glorious Death ft. Flatbush ZOMBiES

Instrumental style track produced by Erick Arc Elliott. This dual sided track that starts light and ends with a bass heavy beat. Just the dark style track you what you would expect from A$AP & Flatbush ZOMBiES. Limited Hook. 

Riviera ft. Joey Bada$$ & Telana

Synthetic angelic style beat produced by THC. Very smooth flow between these two on this relaxed beat. Hook Oriented. 

Periodic Table

Instrumental violin focused beat produced by Dwayne “iLL Wayno” Shippy. A very nice no feature track that Twelvyy takes a moment to show his versatility and skill with his own style. Hook Oriented.
