All about CrabCoat🦀 CrabCoat is a marine grade exterior finish that my grandfather Derek Becker originally formulated for use on Sailboats. It is unique in that it can flex with the wood. Flexibility is important for exterior projects, because wood and metal expands and contracts with temperature changes. If your topcoat can't flex with it you will encounter cracking. It has our highest UV protection to keep your topcoat from being damaged by the sun and breaking down. CrabCoat also has built in Mildew Resistance as well, and won't cause rusting on metal. It comes in Satin and Gloss sheen and is non-toxic, non-yellowing, self-leveling and Eco-Friendly The photo below is a shower that has been stained with Weathered Wood Gel-Stain/Glaze and sealed with Satin CrabCoat.
