Did you know Extreme Protection is durable enough for floors? If applying to floors you can use a lambs wool applicator and let the self-leveling do it's work! It can also be used over tiles. CrystaLac Extreme Protection Polyurethane is an interior NON-YELLOWING, Environmentally Safe Top Coat that is Super Hard, Super Clear and Super Easy to Use. It is Scratch, Chemical, and Water Resistant. It Self-Levels, has Low Odor, Low V.O.C. and cleans up easily with water. Use anywhere an extra level of protection is needed. Tough enough for Bar-tops, floors and more. Added UV stabilizers will keep dyes and stains brilliant and will help protect colors from fading. Dries crystal clear even over white finishes. Excellent for use as a chalk paint sealer. CrystaLac Polyurethane can be applied by either brushing or spraying (gravity feed or HVLP sprayer) see website for detailed spraying instructions. Use a good quality brush. Prior to Top Coating, we recommend using CrystaLac Amber Toned Sanding Sealer to enrich the warm natural colors in the wood and minimize grain raising. It is not necessary to sand between each Top Coat. All CrystaLac Top Coats will bond to the prior coat. CrystaLac Top Coats can be used over thoroughly dried oil or water-based stains, shellac, lacquer, Polyurethane or Acrylic. If recoating over an old finish, scuff sand first and remove any surface contaminants such as dirt, waxes or polishes. Usually 3 to 5 coats are sufficient to produce a beautiful, protective finish. All about CrabCoat🦀 CrabCoat is a marine grade exterior finish that my grandfather Derek Becker originally formulated for use on Sailboats. It is unique in that it can flex with the wood. Flexibility is important for exterior projects, because wood and metal expands and contracts with temperature changes. If your topcoat can't flex with it you will encounter cracking. It has our highest UV protection to keep your topcoat from being damaged by the sun and breaking down. CrabCoat also has built in Mildew Resistance as well, and won't cause rusting on metal. It comes in Satin and Gloss sheen and is non-toxic, non-yellowing, self-leveling and Eco-Friendly The photo below is a shower that has been stained with Weathered Wood Gel-Stain/Glaze and sealed with Satin CrabCoat.
