Tsunade sighed as she leaned out on her balcony, fan held in her hand and flicking a small breeze back at her. It had been a long, hot summer in Konohagakure—a reminder that the Fire Country wasn’t just named such to fit with the other elemental nations—and it showed no signs of ending any time soon. And to make matters worse, her AC unit had just broken the week before—there really was no chance for relief.

Perhaps that was why she was posted up as she was, her robe barely draped behind her and leaving her naked figure bare for any possible breeze—and also why the fan she held had such a…enticing request scrawled across it. With as hot and bothered as this heat wave was leaving her, anything was better than just standing here.

Saga - a young child with pale sunburned skin, very long platinum blonde hair and the brightest blue eyes, wearing a yellow 70s hippie dress - sat on the floor of her Dad's car, an old red one she didn't know the name of.

She pressed against the old weathered leather seats and hid as much as she could from the explosions and gunshots ringing from the outside. Her Dad had left to find something to eat a while ago, probably dumpster diving or pickpocketing, and he had yet to return. Saga hoped he was out of harms way, as well as anyone could living in Gotham City.

(She missed her home country, in times as these. The government and Authority had been the reason of her mother's passing, and the eviction of their tiny house in Falun. But she hadn't needed to worry about the violent fights as these there, hadn't needed to worry about her Dad getting in the crossfire or exploding alive. Barely had she needed to worry much about goons in general.)

Saga looked up through the windows again, fire casting orange shadows across the buildings across the street, hoping her Dad would hurry back so they could leave this city already. Or at least this part of it. She tugged her knees closer to her chest, hugging herself tightly as she listened to the quickly approaching fight outside.

She'd give Dad a few more minutes before she'd drive away from here herself, despite her being far too small for such a thing. Maybe they could try Metropolis or Fawcett next time? She thought that was the name of the cities at least... Or just some normal city for once!

She hugged herself tighter, covering her ears as the sounds got louder, tears threatening to fall as all she could only think was:

Where is Dad?! Dad, come onnn hurry!!!

Where is he???????

Although Irish Ron would definitely be great Irish rep (as well as the ginger rep he always was!), I'm kinda hoping for Devon Ron... the thought of little Ron having that country accent... so cute! Also... I am kinda getting a bit excited now I know they're casting... this has 'reliving childhood' HP hype potential...

What are the top things the movies left out that you'd like them to include in this, supposedly, more book accurate adaptation?

True and fair, Devon Ron is also great and I'd really like someone in the main cast to have a country accent since Harry and Hermione are probably going to be some variant of RP (barring other changes). I would like if they gave someone else an Irish accent (e.g. Lavender, Katie, or Angelina) because Seamus "Blows Things Up" Finnegan being the only Irishman, in books that were written in the 90s, is Ow U Say Not Great but there's enough characters for a broad linguistic diversity. Like the Welsh Remus headcanon that was floating around a few years ago, that was cool. Opportunities!

Other things I'd like to see adapted for the first time: GINNY WEASLEY. Anything Ginny Weasley has ever done or said that isn't dating Harry Potter, that would be great. More of Harry's bond with McGonagall — in the movies, they don't have any one-on-one scenes together. More dimension for Luna Lovegood! She doesn't just float above it all like she does in the movies, she does get annoyed at people and she does have pride in what she does, and in particular she has a fierce affection for her friends. Same with Neville, whose character arc disappears a lot, and hence the Book 7 moment with the snake seems to come out of nowhere. In general, a lot of moments in the 8th movie are payoff on arcs that only existed in the books, and the fact that they play anyway is a reflection of the audience generously blurring the two in their minds.

On a more nitpicky level: the fourth movie does a pretty janky job adapting the plot of Goblet of Fire, because it forgets the mystery plot in favor of the tournament arc. Which is okay, because the movie turns out fine anyway and I get that the book's way too large to adapt, but you lose all the intrigue about who put Harry's name in the goblet — they cut Bagman, e.g., who is the default red-herring answer to that question — and it leaves a lot of beats feeling strange and weightless. Also, more house-elves. And Percy Weasley's character arc! For starters.

Here's another one from the aforementioned RP campaign. Just like the previous image, this one represents the two characters' evolution over time.

The first of the two is Quadrille, an adventurous young man with fiery orange hair. This one lacks the original caption of the two older images but they basically described him as a "fabulous dude with a cabbage" and a "a slightly more fabulous dude with slightly more cabbages."

Quadrille was committed to studying magic. He was primarily focused on an oddly specific spell that could turn cabbages into a particle beam, as well as good old reliable fire magic. By the end of the campaign, he had gotten his hands on quite a few magical artifacts, including the robes of an extremely evil and extremely fashionable spellcaster and the gladius of a raging edgelord. Also, during the final arc, he never took off the promotional cape of an Asian-style restaurant he part-timed at for a while.

The second character is Quadrille's sister, Ann, who is set to have quite an important role in the project I am currently working on (although with many significant changes). In the RP canon, she used to be a cheery cabbage-obsessed spellcaster who eventually ditched the long-range particle cannon magic in favor of becoming a melee frontliner.

Unlike Quadrille who remained somewhat whimsy till the very end, Ann was forced to become much more serious as she became overburdened with responsibilities. This included protecting the legacy of one of the most influential heroes ever and ensuring that a flaky god did not destroy her country.
