. I have several outlets to balance my heart and my mind. Gawking at boobs is one, playing with sharp objects, writing, drawing, and my second favorite outlet - cooking. (Curvy chicks is my first) . Life has weighed heavily on me lately - as it should. It’s a way of saying, “Grow stronger”, and as many of us know, it’s not that easy. . I’ve grown to view our lives as these beautiful containers filled with time and energy. We each determined where we allocate our time and energy. Eventually, we learn that they are not boundless. There are limitations. . We choose who and what we share our time and energy with. We may eventually run out of them, if we choose wrong, but if we choose wisely - it replenishes it’s energy, and grants us a little more time. . It’s a difficult lesson to choose who or what we dedicate our time and energy to. Do we dedicate a percentage to hating someone, a percentage to focusing on a new job, a percentage on kids, on friends, a failing relationship, new clothes, a girl or guy, school - and what happens when we run out? . And that is what I believe a major part of life is about - to figure out the next step and how to take it long after all resources have dried up. . When the heart, soul and mind are in pieces - faith is all that remains...and boobs. There will always be boobs and yoga pants. . In celebration of faith and boobs, I made some shoyu ahi poke; threw in some edamame, seaweed, furakake, cucumbers, chili peppers, sweet onions, #alohashoyu, sea salt, cracked pepper, and dark sesame oil. . I enjoyed my bowl of poke, an ice cold #konabigwave and a picture of some random chick in yoga pants, which didn’t smell as fishy as I thought - the ahi. One of my favorite things is that i can give my pothos my fishpoop water as a fertilizer every time i do a water change and since i started doing that i have seen new leaves growing

Hey speaking of plant bowls do you have any advice for starting one? I know about keeping temperature and light and probably setting up substrate, but what's up with water? What kinds of plants would be good for just a bowl? Should I do partial water changes or just top it off? Is there something special I should do to the water to keep the plants healthy or is tap fine? (I have a Marimo bowl and they're fine with tap but what about other plants?) Thanks for your time!

I’m gonna be honest, I’ve never had a plant bowl or even a real planted tank so I have no idea about anything im sorryyy!!!! I’m totally gonna boost this to fishblr and aquablr because I’m also curious. I think that @soundofscouting started a nice one tag you’re it, buddy!!

and here’s a list of plants that might work. They suggest the easy ones and I’d tend to agree with that

I would imagine that you might want to add fertilizer to the water for optimal growth. Plants like to consume nitrates/nitrites/phosphates/etc. in order to grow. 

If you already have a freshwater aquarium you could add some of that nicenice nitrate/fishpoop water that you get from water changes into the plant bowl. Or you could buy something like API LeafZone, API CO2boost, root tabs or something similar.

So water changes would probably be good if you added fertilized water to the bowl. 

As far as tap water goes I’m not sure. If it was my bowl I’d probably dechlorinate it just to be safe but whether that’s required or not idrk.

my classes are usually synced with an online portion so if you miss a lecture it'll be online for you plus future lectures if you want to go on ahead

but it depends on your professor because sometimes they dock "participation" points if you don't show

and you're required to attend the first few weeks of class if you want to stay on the roster or risk being kicked off so somebody on the waiting list is added....
