The Flora collection is out now! This collection of floral jewelry was inspired by my recent passion for botany (if you had told me that one day I would spend hours gardening...), my not very recent passion for Art Deco, and my desire to use more and more color in my jewelry. So here is Flora, going a little against the trend of autumn-winter fashion, but finally timeless in its simple design and soft colors. As with each launch, I am a little anxious while waiting for your reactions: will you like this new collection as much as I do? Please tell me your opinion (to reassure me, or try to put me in the right way) (Well, I am not sure that is possible)! XXX Dorothée. / / / La collection Flora est enfin disponible ! Cette collection de bijoux floraux a été inspirée par ma passion récente pour la botanique (si on m'avait dit qu'un jour je passerais des heures à jardiner...), ma passion pas très récente pour l'Art déco, et mon envie grandissante d'utiliser la couleur dans mes bijoux. Voici donc Flora, un peu à contre-courant de la mode automne-hiver, mais finalement intemporelle dans son design simple et ses couleurs douces. Born in 1987 Warsaw, Poland, Marcin is a designer and he works and lives in London; he has a background in both humanities (BA from European Studies from University of Warsaw) and art programmes such as Man and Living at the conceptual Eindhoven Design Academy, Netherlands as well as receiving an MA in Design Products from London’s Royal College of Arts. Recently he had his first solo show at the Contemporary Applied Arts gallery in London.

This collection is the result of two years of material research on natural flowers and resin. The tests led to two materials: Flora Perma, stable and permanent, and Flora Temporaria which evolves and transforms visually over time while maintaining its structural integrity. The contrast between the hard black resin and the colored fragile flowers create an aesthetically pleasant composition. The flowers find a second life after being discarded: once processed and treated they maintain their beauty through the help of resin.
