Yeah, in my head they speak Italian at the compound (because they're in Italy so it just makes sense) but they might switch it up on missions because they adjust to the environment (like if they are in Japan for a mission they speak more japanese stuff like that).

And I always tend stick to just English when writing, I wouldn't even add German words (and that's my mothertongue) mostly because I prefer having everything in one language. (Also I'm really not comfortable using words from a lanugage I don't remotely know). The only exception for that is names, nicknames and maybe certain adresses/titles, like I will sometimes use japanese suffixes (for example Dave calls Lussuria "Luss-nee") or call the Ninth "Nono", something like that. (Honestly using Italian titles also bugs me a bit because again, I don't know the language).

I don't know how well I would be able to do the mood thing? Because I already struggle just writing in english sometimes so transfering the vibe of another language on top of it would be a bit tricky for me. I might be able to do it with dialogue but I'd need to do more research for that (and I kinda already have a lot on my plate already soo.... maybe for a later project 😅)

How would you describe Italian's vibe?

Like for German, we tend to have long words and also long sentences (we like smashing stuff together). It can also be a very literal language sometimes (like some names for things describe what the thing does: airplane is Flugzeug aka flystuff; gloves are Handschuhe aka handshoes etc.).
