How come Podlight gets to get away scot free for being a fake medicine cat on purpose and being fully aware of Splashtail being a fake leader from day one and deliberately discrediting Frostpaw to help Splashtail AND potentially even knowing about Reedwhisker's murder but Fognose and Breezeheart get banished because they were mad about the other clans interfering to kill their evil leader? Something Podlight was ranting about not 2 chapters before the two are kicked out??

Also it really rubs me the wrong way how Nightheart is like "Wow she's so terrible because she's a kit-stealer; I can't believe I was so desperate I tried convincing her to help" about Fognose and then is far less hostile and accusatory towards Sneezecloud, who was just as guilty of kit-stealing as Fognose. He's not even mad at Sneezecloud for the kit stealing, Nightheart's mad about the way Sneezecloud treated him last encounter.

it's not gonna happen but I pray that somehow all of the exiled clancats these past few arcs (Sleekwhisker, Breezeheart, Fognose) come back under Sol's leadership because that's be funny as fuck

I very much doubt this will happen since the Erins like to forget a lot of their characters (especially background characters)

Fognose.

For those that don’t know, she is Splashtail’s littermate. Could you imagine still being very young and watching as your brother that you’ve known all your life suddenly becomes leader at a very young age, and you find out he was not only responsible for the death of the deputy, but also plotted his way to become leader and kills whoever stands in his way?

The most likely outcome for the end of the arc is that Splashtail will die. A majority of warriors villains end up dead. Now Fognose is mourning the loss of her brother and littermate, and mourning the times before Splashtail had plotted with Curlfeather and they had just been two regular cats.

But then, she’s chosen as leader? Called up to receive her nine lives and lead the clan? After everything her littermate did?

Could she lead RiverClan?

Figured it was high time to give these guys an update now that they have their warrior names. Most of them only got very minor changes.

First are Flutterfoot and Songleap of Windclan. Flutterfoot is exactly the same, and I changed Songleap's body pattern only slightly. Then is Appleshine and Woodsong, also Windclan. Again, Appleshine is exactly the same, and I changed Woodsong's eyes. Then is Wrenflight from Skyclan. This one I changed a bit more, made her more fluffy and more orange, also changed her eyes. Then is Bayshine and Myrtlebloom from Thunderclan. I made Myrtlebloom's colors less yellowy and gave them both that muzzle mark thing. Then finally is Fognose and Splashtail. Fognose is pretty much the same, I just gave her more swirls. Then Splashtail. Hoo boy. I completely redid his design, the old one was... old. It didn't fit him anymore. Included is also a small expression sheet of me making sure his design worked.

i finished star, so here's my opinions on the book and ASC as a whole; (spoilers!!! obviously!!!)

star was... mediocre HEAVILY leaning bad. i felt like every single conversation until the last couple of chapters was either an arguement or cats calling out to eachother while fighting. i truly think this book highlights how 90% of the time these cats are so delusionally stupid. riverclan willingly following splashtail because they thought he could make the group stronger was so, so stupid. like, i get what they're trying to do, the kin and misttstar/reedwhisker's deaths DID suck for the group, so obviously they'd want to be strong. but did seriously no one go "erm... guys... this Might be a bad idea.." when he started threatening people and kits and making them fight with their claws? "oh but they were scared from the threats" Riverclan, excluding we'll say splashtail, berryheart, podlight, fognose and brackenpelt (who i think were the two exiled? i literally just read the book and i already can't remember) is EIGHTEEN to FIVE. seriously? and if we was threatening kits if they tried to fight back, couldn't you just... devise a plan to get the kits out before attacking? it just felt like such a shambled together plot. and further switching it, pretending they were ONLY fighting splashtail, he's even MORE outnumbered. if you're worried about him coming back to life after dying, just... kill him again! it's so egregious. i'm not going to lie to you guys, so little this arc made sense plot wise with what happened with riverclan and shadowlcna's conflict. this series bring the clans' xenophobia to another LEVEL, highlighting it in a way that shows how seriously stupid it is. there is quite literally ZERO! reason for the clans to dislike each other other than the idea of """loyalty""". i don't really know how to tell you guys! but you are all exactly the same! if anyone had a brain larger than a pea, riverclan would've willingly accepted help from shadowclan and had been FINE! mistystar and reedwhisker's deaths may have been the catalyst, but it was the clans own prejudice against each other that caused riverclan to have a genuine problem. the clans have, very easily, come together before to help eachother or fell a common enemy. it keeps happening! that's been a plot point of so many of the recent arcs! as i've grown up (i read a lot of wc when i was a kid), i've seriously reailzed how EASY it would be for the clans to stop having issues if they stopped having this loyalty complex. so many character decisions are completely illogical once you actually think about them. okay, back to the book. i... didn't really like splashtail's arc of taking over shadowclan? solely from a quality-of-writing standpoint, not really the plot exactly. something about it just felt so weird, in a way i can't explain? i'm not sure.
